Tonal vs AEKE K1 vs Speediance Gym Monster — Full Breakdown & Transcript

[00:03] Ike K1 which one's best more specifically which one's best for you specifically which one's best for you we'll figure that

[00:15] highlight the pros and cons of each one and as I do that try to help you identify which one might be talking to you which one might be the best option for you because if I'm being honest all three of them are great options I used

[00:30] them all a bunch they're all fantastic but they're also all very different if there are certain things if you want me to break down certain angles you want me let me know and I will create those breakouts let's get started with the

[00:43] for the tonal reasons that that should be the machine you get well they all have digital resistance but if I'm being honest tonal does it the best the feedback the quality how smooth it is the toughness just the different things

[00:58] that go into that feel and how they can do it and then throw on top the modes modes and they all do it and it can change the resistance to Target muscles different experiences through digital

[01:10] resistance and what that offers tonal does It Best in my opinion but then on top of that you throw in those arms that they look weak they look like they'll snap in half but they won't I used mine for many many years and it still

[01:22] functioned like the day I bought it when I sold it because yes I did sell it but by being able to move those arms all around cuz they can go sideways up up down high low you can do all sorts of workouts all different range of motions

[01:35] all different muscle targeting options whether it's laat pull Downs or you know pull side pulls things like that oblique exercises you can do so many things I'm comparing these three options if I was to summarize the tonal I would say

[01:48] it's the best pure resistance option now on the conside reasons not to get the farthest behind from a technology standpoint and I don't mean the resistance trainer but I mean the size of the screen the quality of the screen

[02:02] of the screen the quality of the screen the feedback system any AI integration think wow this has some wow factor to it it's exciting to use because of what available especially when you compare to

[02:15] an option like that with the ik1 huge screen mirror things like that tonal doesn't have those options second to that tonal is by far the most expensive only one that has a subscription right now which is expensive

[02:30] the machine itself is expensive getting to delivered to your house is expensive house or even within your house that's very expensive and those costs can really really add up so it becomes a question of I know what it does but is

[02:45] it worth the cost and side note yes I would love to review the tonal 2 but they have not replied to me and I have a place for it in my brand new office so uh tonel feel free to send that over and let me do a real review for everybody

[03:01] out there next up is the ike K1 and the reason I'm doing this one next is it's almost the exact opposite of the tonal in terms of what these machines do it's less the pure resistance play and more to pull you in help the average person

[03:16] option that has all sorts of Technology integrated into it to make it exciting functionality you can see yourself as things like that it has a camera built in it that watches you and gives you

[03:28] feedback so you can learn what you're doing wrong and it teaches you along the way it has AI built into it so that way it can build exercise routines out for some quick questions you answer those and it's going to say let's do this it

[03:42] makes it very simple and teaches you along the way it introduces you to workouts that you didn't otherwise know were an option the platform that you automatically with a push of a button click it again when you're done it folds

[03:56] got a lot of those bells and whistles that motivate you excite you and keep that motivate you excite you and keep you coming back so that's what I would summarize this one as but on the con side this is the least mature option and

[04:10] I don't mean it's bad but when the tonal came out when the speeds gym monster updates because there were a lot of things they just didn't do yet and now they are both mature they both do a lot of things they do extremely well where

[04:24] you're like I wish it did this oh I wish it did that and I reached out to them and I sent them a list of how about all these items and every single one they already something that's being developed and will be on the way so that is almost

[04:38] a pro anacon because when you first get it you might be like I wish it did this or that but at the same time half times you turn it on it's going to be like hey here's an update I do this now and it's exciting and you feel like the thing you

[04:51] bought isn't the same thing every day it constantly improves and just keeps having new things it can do which again pulls you in exciting and fun so it will catch up but it is less mature right now and next up is the

[05:05] speeden gym monster and this is sort of in between the two but I will say it me step back and say I would almost consider this the 90% tonal it does a lot of the stuff tonal does it does it just about as well but it misses just a

[05:20] few pieces of functionality maybe does a few things just slightly less well but at a huge cost savings now things it doesn't do that tonal does has less resistance points I forgot to mention the ik K1 it has one resistance point so

[05:33] which does limit you a little bit you can still do a ton tonal arms all around with this one the resistance points can go all the way up and down right here floor but they can't come out next to you like the arms on the tonal so minor

[05:48] step back from the tonal but still has a lot of resistance points resistance as a whole very close to tonal I'd say again tonal is maybe a 10 and this is a nine very very close functionality user interface screen modes very very

[06:02] comparable to the tonal I very much enjoy them both but some pros that this does have the tonel it mounts to the wall which if you know it's never going to move it's kind of neat because it's just in that spot it's always available

[06:16] but sometimes you want to move these things sometimes you have a new room is suddenly going to be used for something else this can be moved around on Wheels and put anywhere you want which is very nice the base it just

[06:28] folds up when you're done gets nice and compact doesn't take up a lot of space you might need to move it around depending on what happens in your house and from a con side reasons you might not want to get this is it doesn't have

[06:41] the fanciness that I described in the ik K1 it's more like the tonel with more of a pure resistance play and like I said before compared to the tonal it's a minor step down so there are a couple things it's like it's a little bit less

[06:53] than both in both options but the tonal I said is a very good machine from a pure resistance play but is ungodly expensive and this does a huge majority of that at a fraction of the cost and again at this point I don't think this

[07:07] has a subscription for me and this is where I come back to I sold my tonal I love the tonal I will say good things about it all day long pretty much outside of the cost and the subscription model but I couldn't afford considering

[07:21] didn't use it enough to justify that monthly subscription and so I decided to sell it and that meant I had to use this and now the ik1 as well but the question became going to this was it such a step down that I really regretted it compared

[07:37] down that I really regretted it compared to the tonal the answer was no I had no problem if you compared cost saving that kind of money in having this experience if that helps you out if you're in between those two but quick and dirty

[07:51] points here that I think will help you out first if I walked into a gym and they had the tonal the speedi and gym monster in the ik1 and two people ran up to two of them and I had the leftovers would I have that like I have to use

[08:06] would I have that like I have to use that one not at all all three are great machines I will be happy with whatever one I get because they are all well-built machines there is no scenario here where you have to have buyer

[08:18] remorse be like oh I think I made the wrong decision I went with a bad one all three are great they're just different if I were to summarize tonal as your option best pure resistance option if money is No Object and you just want to

[08:32] get the best resistance option out there next if you're comparing the tonal and the i1 and you're saying G I think the tonel is more my style but I don't want tonel is more my style but I don't want to spend that much money speedi and gym

[08:46] monster call it the baby tonel if you want the little brother it is a very very good machine uh the comments that I watch from my other reviews on it there are very few regrets from people that do decide to go that option so if you think

[08:59] to save some money but still have a great option don't worry speeding's gym monster is a great option but last if you want something that's going to hold more personal trainer into it build things out for you have technology that

[09:12] pulls you and motivates you excites you and just makes you want to use it ik K1 a very very good machine right now don't think in a year from now you're going to be like oh my gosh this is a completely

[09:27] different machine so you might have to have a little patience and enjoy it along the way but that's what you're getting into with the ik K1 and I will learn more about any of these platforms I'll link the products themselves if you
