Zero Followers Can Outperform 1M Followers on TikTok Shop
60sThe counterintuitive claim that follower count doesn't matter challenges common assumptions and sparks curiosity, making it highly shareable.

This video is a comprehensive beginner's guide to TikTok Shop affiliate marketing in 2026. The creator, Nick G, explains how to get started, find winning products, create converting videos, avoid violations, and scale your business, all with the goal of earning commissions without holding inventory.
Affiliates promote products through special links in their TikTok videos. When a viewer buys through the link, the affiliate earns a commission. No inventory is held, and the product ships directly from the brand to the customer.
TikTok Shop is still early, having only existed since late 2023. Many beginners are hitting $10K-$20K per month, even without prior content creation experience.
The algorithm gives new videos 200-500 free views. If viewers engage or buy, the video gets pushed to more people. Follower count doesn't matter; content quality does.
You need at least 5K followers to join the TikTok Shop affiliate program. You can grow an account organically (3-6 months) or buy an already-approved account.
A bad product won't sell even with great videos. Look for products that solve a visible problem, stop the scroll, and can be demonstrated in 30 seconds.
Check if the product is trending, has interest on TikTok, has a commission rate of at least 15%, and has at least 2,000 units in stock to avoid losing sales on a viral video.
Use tools like Daily Virals or Ecom Data to find trending products. Look for products with under 50 creators making videos to avoid oversaturation.
Every converting video has a hook (first 1-2 seconds), a product breakdown showing it in use, and a one-sentence call to action.
Visual hooks (attention-grabbing visuals), verbal hooks (sparking curiosity), and text hooks (on-screen text). Use at least two, ideally all three.
Instead of listing specs, show how the product improves the viewer's life. For example, say 'I used this all day and it didn't die' instead of '4,000 mAh battery'.
Cut dead space, use J-cuts, and zoom in. TikTok is a short-form platform, so every millisecond counts.
The CTA should be one sentence, casual, and not salesy. Create urgency by mentioning limited stock or a price increase.
Use TikTok's built-in editor or CapCut. Cut repetitive parts, speed up cleaning demos, add text hooks, and enable auto-captions for sound-off viewers.
Post 3-5 videos per day. Volume is how you learn. Don't overthink; just start posting and iterate based on results.
Try talking head, faceless (product-focused), skits, and comment reply videos. Find what works for you.
TikTok uses a 24-point violation system. Avoid medical claims, weight loss claims, and using unoriginal content. Always show the product in the video.
Use AI like Claude to check scripts for potential violations, especially for supplements. Have a backup account if you're confident in your strategy.
Recreate winning videos, do comment replies on them, DM sellers for higher commissions, and ask sellers to run ads (GMV max) on your videos.
Control inputs, not outputs. Set goals like 'post 3 times per day for 90 days' instead of 'make $10K per month'.
The video provides a complete blueprint for starting TikTok Shop affiliate marketing, emphasizing product research, content creation, and consistent posting. Success comes from focusing on inputs you can control and scaling what works.

19:07[00:01] Shop and you're starting from zero, then this is the only video you'll ever need. beginner roadmap step-by-step for completely free. How TikTok Shop affiliate actually works, [music] how to find products that sell, how to make
[00:14] videos that convert, how to post consistently without burning out, and the results before they even get [music] started. My name is Nick G and my customers have done over 171 million dollars in GMV and I've sold over 11,000
[00:28] account seller [music] in the entire world, so everything I'm about to show you comes from my experience. So, by the end of this video, you'll know exactly what to do and where to start. So, let's get started. So, what is TikTok Shop?
[00:42] when you're scrolling TikTok with the orange link attached. What this person is doing is they're making a ad for this product that they most likely got shipped to them for free from the brand. You make videos promoting someone else's
[00:55] it through that special link on your video, you get a commission straight to your bank account. There is no holding inventory. You don't actually own this you're just the affiliate. You never ship the product. You never touch this
[01:09] product that your customer receives. It goes straight from the brand to your customer. The amount of followers that you need does not matter. Somebody with better than somebody with 5K followers. Whoever posts the best content is going
[01:22] to do better over time. In 2026, it's still early for this opportunity. TikTok Shop has really only existed since the end of 2023, and it really became popular this year. But, with that being said, there are still so many people who
[01:36] people who are starting right now hitting 10K, 15K, 20K per month. People who did not even know how to post a TikTok video 1 month ago are hitting these numbers. And these are everyday people with no experience making
[01:50] content. This is how the algorithm works. So, zero followers can outperform a million followers, like I said. The old thinking is that the follower account directly equates to your viewers, then equates to your customers.
[02:02] But, that's not really true. How the TikTok algorithm actually works is you consistently. What's going to happen when you post your shop video is you're going to get 200 to 500 views for absolutely free from the algorithm. That
[02:14] is the first phase in testing that the algorithm is sending to potential people watching the video, clicking on the product link, it's going to shoot up like crazy. So, for example, you get 500
[02:27] views, somebody buys it from that 500 views, then you get another 1,500 views for free, somebody buys it from that 1,500 views, and then it keeps going up and up and up. And that's why it's so easy to have a viral video on TikTok
[02:39] Shop, even though everyone knows it's an ad. The algorithm rewards these videos like crazy, and most people see results within month two to four. The winners are the people who stay long enough to see those results without quitting. What
[02:51] you need to get started is 5K followers on TikTok. That's your goal. Now, you followers, but that's what's called a pilot program where you're very limited onto how many videos you can post. I don't recommend this. The sweet spot is
[03:05] really anything above 5K followers. 100K plus is perfect. And there are two paths grow it, which could take three to six months, or you can just buy a TikTok Shop approved account already. The first path, which is growing this account
[03:19] opt into doing, but it has its downsides. But, the general playbook is to pick a niche that you know a lot about. Then you're going to study the choose what they're not doing and make videos about what they're not doing.
[03:33] Post videos consistently about this topic until you hit 5K followers. But, account is at least three to six months of growing it. $0 in income the entire you're essentially running a second job with a delayed payoff. And another
[03:47] every month you try to build your account, you're not earning any money and it's spending a lot of time on something that you're not earning money on. But the real risk that nobody mentions is that you can spend months
[04:00] you can hit the follower threshold just to apply for Shop and you'll be completely rejected. It happens way more often than people think because there is no guaranteed path to joining the TikTok
[04:12] they look at the back end, they do a bunch of random numbers that I don't even understand and they decide if they want to approve you or not. Usually, which is what I recommend and that is buying an account. You're going to skip
[04:26] skip the risk of being rejected from Shop, you're going to skip the months of you're going to skip the uncertainty of even hitting that threshold. Every account I sell is organic, no bots, and no violations. It's already accepted
[04:40] into the Shop program, it has a full warranty, and it is ready to post Shop info, click on the link in the description, join the Discord, and then open a ticket. I will get back to you ASAP. Product research. This is the most
[04:53] important thing you can do on TikTok Shop because a bad product will not make you a single sale even if you have the best videos in the world. Does this problem's not visible and you can't show
[05:06] good product for you. Does this product stop the scroll? If somebody sees it on their TikTok For You page, is it interesting, cool, or going to catch content on it? If you can't demonstrate it within 30 seconds, then it's probably
[05:20] not a good product. The four metrics to check before committing to a product. Is this selling or trending upwards in the past 30 days? Does this have actual interest on TikTok on the videos via comments and likes? Is the commission
[05:33] comments and likes? Is the commission rate at least 15%? Now, 20-plus percent under 10% commission. You just won't make good money. Is there at least 2,000 units in stock? The worst thing that can happen is you have a viral video about
[05:46] to sell thousands and thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars of a and you lose tens of thousands of dollars. I've seen this happen so many where are you actually going to find these winning products? Well, there are
[06:00] ahead and stroll the for you page like a buyer. You can find these viral videos obviously doing well because they have a lot sold. You can use tools like the Daily Virals or Ecom Data. I always recommend the Daily Virals. It's what
[06:14] everyone recommends. There's a link in my bio to get 1 month for free, no the top performing videos, the top performing products, the trends. It has AI, it has everything you need to be successful. You can literally just copy
[06:27] scripts on there. If it has under 50 creators doing videos on it, then it's probably good if it has good metrics. If it has over a thousand or sometimes even over 10,000 creators already making videos on it, then it's probably very,
[06:40] very oversaturated. So, I wouldn't even touch it. Is the trend going up? If it's going up and you can tell that it's on the bottom of the trend and it's just going to keep going up, then this is going to make you so much money. I've
[06:53] hit a viral video, they get 20 million views, and they make literally over 60, 70k in straight profit. And while using these spy tools, you're not copying and applying your own twist to it because that is what's going to work.
[07:08] Here are niches that consistently perform. Kitchen products, beauty and skin care, tech products, cleaning tools, health and wellness, seasonal products are huge. And then clothing with personality. A lot of people run
[07:20] their own clothing pages where they just post clothing. They make 10-second they make thousands of dollars every read the TikTok guidelines because for example, if you mention weight loss or
[07:32] make a medical claim, you will get a violation. Make sure you're setting up your account properly before posting. Here's how to do that. You want to to sure that you look like a real person, not just somebody trying to make a bag.
[07:44] but make it seem authentic like it's you. You're going to make sure that you have a good bio. And then, how to reach the product marketplace is to go to profile. Go to TikTok Shop for Creator, and then Product Marketplace. You will
[07:58] available for you to promote on TikTok there. Getting products to promote. Now, where the brand will send you something for free on TikTok, but I honestly don't recommend it. I recommend using Amazon cuz you can have a product tomorrow if
[08:13] followers, for example, 100k followers, and you have over $500 in GMV, which is very easy, by the way. Getting approved for a free sample is almost guaranteed don't recommend this. I recommend you just buy something on Amazon instead
[08:28] product to be shipped could be the difference between you making 1k and you day, a lot of your money is going to come from catching these trends. But, there's a lot who order a ton of free samples because, I guess, they just want
[08:43] free stuff, which is completely valid. But, don't get in the hang of ordering because if you do that, you're not going to get free samples in the future. Let's talk about converting videos because every single converting videos has three
[08:56] things. It has a hook, which is the first three to five seconds. On TikTok Shop, it's really the first one to two seconds, to be honest. This is where 90% of the people will either watch it or scroll. The product breakdown. Show it
[09:08] working in their everyday lives. Nobody cares about all the features. Tell them CTA, which is the call to action. You product is on sale right now. Get it before the sale runs off, or something
[09:21] One sentence. You don't want to sound salesy. There are three different types least two of these for every single video you make. A visual hook, which is attention. Something that you film with your camera that'll catch their
[09:35] attention. For example, a very dirty stove being cleaned fast pace. A verbal hook. You want to say something right away that's going to immediately spark like, "I can't believe they waited until 2026 to come out with this." And then a
[09:49] of the screen that's going to get them to stop scrolling to read it. You also want this to spark curiosity. Say something like, "I can't believe this actually worked." And then they will watch the video looking for this, which
[10:03] give you more potential customers. The best videos use all three at the same time. You can get away with two, but you really should use all three. You should sell the outcome and not the features. What does this mean? Nobody cares that
[10:16] some battery has 4,000 milliamp hours or whatever. They don't care about that. They want to know what their life will look like if they're using this product. So instead of saying 4,000 milli whatever hours, say, "I used this
[10:28] product all day and it didn't die. I've gone through three different ones in the actually worked like it was advertised." That is the result. That is what you can do for someone's life. You can save them time from charging the batteries. Nobody
[10:41] cares about a 4,000 milliamp hour whatever. The product needs to appear on actually doing what it's supposed to be doing. You can point out one flaw at the it's not a serious flaw that'll make them not want to buy it. You can also
[10:56] include a rebuttal about why that's actually not a big problem. That way you of the product instead of just mentioning a bunch of pros. And then the pacing, this is so important. Even top affiliates sometimes don't get this. You
[11:09] want to cut out all the dead space. You want to use J cuts. You want to zoom in a lot. The pacing on TikTok is everything. You have to understand what TikTok is. It is a short-form platform. So every millisecond counts. These
[11:22] is not moving fast then they're just straight up not going to watch your video. The CTA should be one sentence. One and done. Pick one angle and commit to it. I hate when people try to sell the CTA so much. You sound like a robot.
[11:37] You sound like a salesperson. You can say the stock is running low, click on this creates urgency because there is mention something about the price, how the price is going to go up tomorrow,
[11:49] which is going to urge them to buy now instead of waiting. Or you can hit a dealing with this, then you want to get think about their life once they solve this problem that they've had forever.
[12:01] The moment this sounds like a hard sell, that is when everyone is going to leave, even if the rest of your video is a banger. Keep it relaxed, keep it casual, keep it in one sentence, and then you're good. That's going to attract a lot of
[12:13] people who know you're authentic. Editing your content. Everything you need is inside of TikTok already. Now you could use CapCut, but I honestly steps. And at the end of the day, you want to keep this as simple as possible
[12:26] because you want to do scale. A few tips I recommend when editing is to cut out space is a viewer that's going to for example, a cleaning product and you're showing yourself cleaning
[12:38] where you're cleaning that looks repetitive. Sure, it might look repetitive, but if you put it in three or four x speed, that's going to be very then you're going to put your text hook right on top, right below where the
[12:51] And a lot of people watch TikTok with no sound, so you want to turn on auto again, it gives the viewer something else to look at. Visual simulation is everything on TikTok. And then hashtags, titles, none of that matters. TikTok's
[13:07] your video, they know what you're showing in your video, they know if old you are, they know your target audience, they know everything. Their AI is very smart, so do not worry about the hashtags. They're going to categorize
[13:21] your video as the content is. And then don't forget to add the product link. A on a lot of money. At the start, I recommend three to five videos every it's easier to make these videos than you think because the videos are only
[13:35] going to be 25 to 60 seconds long. What you can do is you can sit down for an edit them, and then post them right away. Please do not overthink this. It's really not that complicated. You will see what works and you will also see
[13:48] volume is how you learn. I see a lot of people who are just starting out saying haven't posted content yet, which is kind of backwards because the only way to learn this is to actually do it. You're not going to learn by not
[14:01] worry about ruining your algorithm with bad posts because at the end of the day, you can post a hundred times terrible content, but if you make one good video lot of money. And then once you find a winner, your video does good, it's a
[14:15] million views or whatever, you're going to replicate this video, maybe change up maybe change up the script a little bit. Just double down, triple down, keep posting content like this. I'm telling you right now, you cannot post too much
[14:28] content on TikTok. Even if you post 50 videos a day, as long as they're good, as long as they're not some BS spammy content, you're going to do well. There recommend you try. There's the talking head, which for example, is me right
[14:41] That's just you talking to the camera like you're talking to a friend. There's the faceless where you turn your phone around, you film the product doing what it does, and your face never needs to be on the screen. I've seen people hit 70K,
[14:53] 80K months doing this. There are skits. You can do a skit with your friend. You do not have to make it sound super professional. Even if it's goofy, if they're going to see the product and
[15:05] they could buy it. Or there's something called comment reply. Say you make a video on a product, somebody asks a question, then you respond to that question with a video of it being done. For example, if somebody asks on one of
[15:17] my videos, "Does this product have this feature?" I will do a comment and video it's going to get a lot more sales because the people who are watching are of these early. You're going to see what works for you and whatever works for
[15:31] see you just get stuck on one of these at the start. Violations and how to avoid them. TikTok uses a 24-point violation system and each violation some rare instances where you could get a full account ban. I wouldn't worry
[15:46] really only reserved for people posting very very very low-quality content. You your videos, but you can allude to them. Health and weight loss. Never make a medical claim. Never make a weight loss claim. Even if this product can actually
[16:02] help with this, don't say it. Stick to the deal, stick to the price, stick to how you felt after using this product. To be honest, supplements are very hard to prevent violations, which is why I personally don't recommend them, but to
[16:14] the camera. If you're promoting a product and for whatever reason, the product's not even in the video. Yes, I have seen that. You will receive a own. This is very important because a lot of people think, "Oh, I'm not
[16:28] word and every single frame. I'm just using 3 seconds of it." I promise you, it is not worth taking someone else's content. Every single frame, every single clip in your video should be original. That even means posting it on
[16:42] only one account on TikTok. Don't post it on two accounts. You will receive a violation. So, the same video on two accounts is very bad. Protecting your account. You could use AI. I recommend Claude and you put your script in there
[16:55] get you violations. Now, I would reserve this mainly for supplements because supplements are very prone to these health-related violations. Now, if you get a violation and the appeal fails, stop and readjust your content. If
[17:08] thing over and over and over again, it's obvious that you're doing something And if you get a violation, you can always message me for an appeal. I have all the appeals, or you can use AI. I recommend Claude once again. And then
[17:22] have enough money. So, say you're very confident in what you're doing, and you say, "Hey, I hope it doesn't happen, but if I do get violations, which causes my have a backup account." And a backup account is always good if you're posting
[17:36] want to differentiate some of your content. Now, let's talk about scaling past your first sales. Now, if you have a winner, like I said, re-create that video so many times until the wheels fall off. Volume is everything,
[17:50] winner. Your best performing videos, you're going to comment reply these videos because you already have people who watched these videos or interested. that comment reply video to people who have already seen your first video on
[18:03] the product and who have maybe clicked on it and are already interested in this product. Their algorithm is very, very smart. And then you can always DM the you're doing very good numbers on their product, they want you to keep promoting
[18:16] them to up your commission. I've seen people go from 15% literally to 35, 40% difference between a 50K month and a 100K month, 150K profit month. And then
[18:29] you can always ask the seller to run ads on your videos. This is called GMV max, where they put money behind your videos. It shows up as an ad on TikTok. It gets thousands, hundreds of thousands, or maybe millions of eyeballs for free on
[18:41] your end, and you're still making the same amount of commission as if it were organic. It is honestly a cheat code more people need to utilize. And then you should always have another product, a backup product, a backup product or
[18:53] Say you have your winner, but you're saying, "Hey, maybe my winner's not weeks. I want to have something else that's going to do good." So, test, test, test. For your goal setting, you want to control the inputs and don't
[19:07] stress about the outputs. For example, a goal that you actually could execute is post three times per day for 90 days. You have full control whether you post three times per day or not. As much as I want to see you hitting numbers, you
[19:19] should not put number goals like I want to hit 10k per month because at the end content and you maybe still don't hit this number and it might discourage you because you cannot directly control the money that you're bringing in. You can
[19:32] pushing out. You should always be focused on the inputs on TikTok Shop. This is the full blueprint, the product, the hook, the volume, and how to scale your business. And once again, like I said, I am the number one provider of
[19:45] So, if you're trying to skip three to six months of trying to grow a TikTok then click on the first link in the description, join the Discord at the bottom, and then open a ticket. I will get in contact with you directly. But
[19:58] more importantly, I really, really, really do hope you find success in this. There is a lot of people making a ton of money in this and I absolutely love what I do. I love everything about TikTok Shop. It is genuinely no BS
[20:10] thousands of people's lives. People who would have still been in high school, they would have been working some boring corporate job, they would have been money, they're living in the place they want to live in, they're driving the
[20:24] cars they want to drive, and they have time freedom. That is what I love about my money with my business, but I get to see thousands of people making life-changing money every single day and tens of people starting on this every
[20:37] watching. Subscribe for more videos like this, free game.
