Pre-Midnight Checklist — Step-by-Step Guide & Transcript

[00:01] continuously log in without a plan, you can miss out on a lot of really critical rewards, and in some cases, miss out on them forever. Don't worry though, cuz today's video, we're going to be explaining everything you can do, or

[00:15] activity you need to complete ahead of Midnight's pre-release, so you get everything you want in the end. Also, don't forget to stick around until the a free epic edition of World of Warcraft: Midnight from The Comeback

[00:28] Kids. Starting off first, and this is a non-negotiable, we have of course Legion Remix. At the time I'm recording this, we have about 26 days left, and you need to understand something. We only get a remix once per expansion cycle, which

[00:41] means roughly once every 2 years. Legion Remix is a mountain of permanent account rewards. We're talking mounts, armor sets, toys, pets, titles, achievements, and even cosmetics that were previously removed from the game. There are

[00:55] hundreds, potentially thousands of rewards available here, and once Remix ends, a huge chunk of it is gone, or at best, you won't be able to obtain it newer to retail World of Warcraft, this is the single best catch-up in terms of

[01:09] collection opportunities Blizzard has had since Mists of Pandaria Remix a few for leveling up alternate characters very quickly and getting the flow of the worry, we also got a few guides on our channel from what to do the moment you

[01:24] log in to how to catch up as soon as possible. So, if you want, you can check out one of the few videos you see on screen here. This is mandatory content once. It lets you build a set of max-level characters fast, unlock

[01:37] exclusive mounts, cosmetics, and stuff like that, and even start unlocking in that sort of thing. So, if you haven't already, attack Legion Remix as soon as possible because it's ending very soon. Now, before we get into the

[01:49] additionally, if you're considering playing a devourer demon hunter in Midnight, which is of course the brand new spec coming to World of Warcraft, you want to make sure you're prepared if you want to play a devourer void elf

[02:01] demon hunter, which is the brand new option. Now, firstly, you want to make elves, which starts by you having a character at minimum level 40, and picking up the void elf questline from the embassy in Stormwind, and completing

[02:15] that said questline. Now, if you do have void elves already unlocked, there is complete now before the pre-patch, and that's the A Common Cause questline in K'aresh, and it involves Illidari Adarius. It's a short quest chain, and

[02:29] pretty much explains the starting lore about how void elf demon hunters came to be. So, complete that questline, you will be able to get them before the when you log in, and you're not scrambling later. Heading into the main

[02:42] Now, this is one of the more important systems to finish before the pre-patch. season-specific, or just easier to do while The War Within is current content. First up, we have the Delver's Mana Skimmer mount. This is very easy. It's

[02:56] comes from this season, and it's a questline that you can obtain by Bronzebeard at the Delver's area in Dornogal. Takes just a few minutes to of that, you have the Ky'veza challenge rewards you earn as well. This is your

[03:11] seasonal solo boss experience. This has you complete both Ky'veza on question mark one and two difficulties, and this is a pretty tough challenge. Tied to cosmetic, unique achievements, the hyperdrive variant mount, and the

[03:25] contract killer title for completing the hardest version. If titles or unique cosmetics matter to you at all, this is definitely ones you want to attack. to finish your seasonal Delver's Journey roadmap. This awards a track of

[03:39] cosmetics as you progress through the delves over the season, and once season 3 ends, these rewards are no longer obtainable. Don't forget additionally, the delve vendors like Reno Jackson and Sir Finley, who sell you a bunch of

[03:52] older, you know, delve cosmetics and season 3 rewards. There are a ton of rewards here that you may not have earned that look fantastic, and these vendors use undercoin, which of course are warbound transferable. So, if you

[04:04] them across your account and purchase whatever you'd like cuz there's a lot of have the seasonal mythic plus and dungeon rewards. Of course, you have your basic milestones like hitting 1,500 mythic plus. This will give you the new

[04:18] seasonal title, The Unbound, as well as hitting 2K rating, which will give you your azure void liar mount. Also, hitting 3K rating will give you the scarlet void flyer mount. It's the same model, just slightly updated for a

[04:31] bigger flex. Now, for convenience, don't forget also you have the dungeon portals that you can earn by completing any of the dungeons completed this season at a plus 10 or higher. This will unlock you all of the instant dungeon teleporters,

[04:45] whenever you're going back to other expansions or traveling around. This is something I use every day I'm logged into World of Warcraft. This is pick these up. Now, when it comes to the PvP rewards, if you've ever cared about

[04:59] doing PvP, or care about earning any of these this is going to be your last shot. First up, you have the elite PvP armor sets, and these are unlocked by reaching 1,800 rating in any rated PvP bracket, whether it be arenas, rated

[05:12] battlegrounds, or even solo shuffle. You got to remember, once the season ends, elite sets are gone forever. They are not purchasable later, they don't come workaround here. So, if you want the elite set for each class, you got to try

[05:26] to earn them right now. Additionally, you have the conquest armor recolors. You can purchase these later with marks of honor, but if you want to finish the collection now, don't forget you also have the weapon illusion enchants, which

[05:39] can be earned at 2,200 rating. You have the PvP cloak tied to rated progression, and the PvP tabard that unlocks at 2,400 rating. This season, in my opinion, is comes to the tabard, so it's something I'm actively trying to get right now.

[05:55] have the seasonal mount that you can try to earn by completing your rated PvP wins in the minimum rated thresholds, and then still you can earn your vicious bar, filling it up, getting your saddle, and then you can take this and purchase

[06:10] you have the gladiator mounts, which is awarded for winning enough games at the gladiator rating in arena. Of course, once this season ends, you guys will not be able to obtain the gladiator mount. That's what makes them so exclusive and

[06:24] shuffle players, do you have a couple season-ending leaderboard titles if you play a lot of solo shuffle. Moving on next, talking about rating and course, you have your tier set appearances that you can earn. I would

[06:38] say the very easiest way to obtain all this is just by taking any hero track piece that you have on your character and upgrading it to eight of eight quality at the upgrade vendor. Once you do that, it will automatically unlock

[06:52] the mythic tier appearance for that slot as well. So, if you're missing any tier set pieces also across the board, what I'm going to do is simply catalyze any hero, you know, piece that I have on my character that I need to fill out that

[07:05] tier set slot, upgrade it to eight of eight, I'll get all the appearances, and I'm good to go. Additionally, you have the AOTC Cutting Edge achievements as well as mounts as well. Completing Manaforge Omega on heroic difficulty it

[07:17] will give you the achievement for AOTC, as well as a mount that looks great. raid while it was current content, and it helps with your credibility on, you know, your account and getting into certain guilds or groups or stuff like

[07:29] de la crème, you have the mythic Manaforge Omega mount. Uh this is a Demensius and you're a psychopath right now on mythical difficulty. So, if you don't get this done during your time, uh you know, during the season, the odds

[07:43] are going to get incredibly low after this. So, if you're crazy enough, go for it. Um additionally, before we move on, we have one more massive completionist reward from The War Within, and that's the Geargrinder MK-11 mount tied to the

[07:56] World Soul Searching meta achievement. To break it down simply, this is just the War Within's expansion-wide completionist mount. This requires you know, War Within content for things like raids, world events, zone activities, uh

[08:11] reputation progression, and group content across the expansion. I will there's a good chance you completed, I would say, a good chunk of this list that finishing it later on becomes a lot

[08:25] done. There's a ton that you need to do for this, so knock it out now if you Additionally, you have the Brawler's Guild, which has returned recently. Of course, Brawler's Guild mounts and rewards historically don't stick around,

[08:38] so the fact that it has rotated in now is quite important. Right now, there are really cool decoration rewards, cosmetics, you know, uh transmog and uh if you haven't completed everything already, definitely attack the Brawler's

[08:53] to come back. The next couple sections are kind of like a two-for-one because we have to talk about the Turbulent Timeways, which is one of the more generous, uh I would say, events Blizzard has every season. This is just

[09:06] an easy way to catch up characters and reputation drastically across your account for The War Within. Now, as you complete The War Within Timewalking dungeons each week, you build stacks of increasing experience gains and stacks

[09:18] toward an achievement called the Master of the Turbulent Timeways. This will allow you to choose one of four exclusive mounts tied to this event, quest and completing this stuff will earn you timewarp badges, which can earn

[09:31] you a very wide variety of cosmetics, which look fantastic. Thanks to the Turbulent Timeways, reputation gains are dramatically faster right now. That means unlocking key rewards take a fraction of the time as it once did, so

[09:43] Midnight's pre-patch to get all these reputations dialed in, ready to go, and just a quick section about professions because during the start of an expansion, professions can net you, honestly, hundreds of thousands, if not

[09:57] doing. So, having a plan on what profession, you know, you have set for new expansion is going to be very important for the future, I guess, if making gold heading into the next expansion. I'm sure there are going to

[10:13] guides and stuff like that coming out from Midnight very soon. Just be on the your professions for each of your characters now. And then lastly, of course, the most important thing, I would say, is you need to make sure you

[10:27] loaded ready to go for the expansion release. We here at The Comeback Kids are putting out a ton of videos and are going to continue to put out videos over the next 2-3 months helping you guys prepare and pick your main characters

[10:40] stay up to date on all these videos, make sure to check out some of the subscribe and stick around because we have a lot more content coming. So, yes, going to hit you with a quick priority recap checklist. I would say first up,

[10:54] definitely make sure you complete Legion Remix and get everything you want on absolutely out of control. Definitely get on this mode, level up any alternate characters you want and get cosmetics because they come in the dozens at

[11:08] sure if you're want to play Void Elf Demon Hunter, do the prerequisite questline so you can play your Devourer Demon Hunter. Make sure to attack all include, you know, completing Ky'veza on question mark one and two, completing

[11:22] mounts, get your titles, and everything like that. And even purchase at some of the two vendors uh by the Delver's area like Reno Jackson and Sir Finley. Additionally, you have the final season mythic plus rewards for hitting 1,500,

[11:37] 2K, and even 3K. So, do that if you're interested in a couple of those mounts. You have the final season PvP rewards as well for hitting those high ratings like 1,800 up to 2,400 in all those modes. A lot of exclusive PvP rewards that will

[11:50] not be coming back. Definitely attack those. You have the raid clean up like getting AOTC, earning your tier sets, and even if you're crazy enough, completing the mythic raid uh and killing Demensius for that mythic mount

[12:03] potentially, which would be awesome. You also have the World Soul Searching meta achievement for the Gear Grinder MK11 mount, which is the, you know, War achievement mount. And if you have extra time, attack the Brawler's Guild and get

[12:16] a couple of those mounts, some of those cosmetics and stuff like that that come Timeways, get those mounts, the easy hero track gear and loot to help start and prepare for the next expansion, as well as getting some of
