[00:00] Have you ever wanted to hop into PvP,

[00:01] but are worried that your class or spec

[00:03] may be too difficult? Or maybe you just

[00:05] want to have the easiest grind for those

[00:07] new 1,800 elite sets. In today's video,

[00:09] we will be ranking every spec on a giant

[00:12] tier list from very easy to very hard.

[00:14] We aren't looking at prolevel play here.

[00:16] We're focusing strictly on skill floors,

[00:18] how quickly the average player can pick

[00:20] up a spec with zero experience and start

[00:21] climbing the ladder. But look, even if

[00:23] you pick the easiest spec on this list,

[00:25] Midnight Season 1 will be moving fast.

[00:27] Right now, Skillcap members are already

[00:29] getting a massive head start. Brand new

[00:31] PvP courses are already live on our

[00:33] website. These break down the new tech

[00:34] for every class, including how to

[00:36] optimize your damage, land consistent CC

[00:38] chains, rotate defenses properly, and

[00:40] actually close out games. So, instead of

[00:42] spending weeks figuring out the meta,

[00:44] you can learn it in minutes. And forget

[00:45] spending hours watching UI guides. With

[00:48] just a few clicks, our add-on gives you

[00:49] a prolevel PVP UI instantly. It saves

[00:52] you an incredible amount of time and is

[00:54] customized for every class. Finally, our

[00:56] brand new arena coaching tool, which

[00:57] analyzes your gameplay and gives you

[00:59] personalized feedback on exactly what

[01:01] you're doing wrong and how to fix it.

[01:02] And right now is honestly the best time

[01:04] all expansion to join. Because while

[01:06] everyone else is still trying to figure

[01:07] out Midnight PVP, SkillCap members are

[01:10] already mastering it. If you want that

[01:12] same head start, check out the link

[01:13] below and get access today with a

[01:15] special discount code. With that in

[01:17] mind, we will start off by taking a look

[01:18] at the easiest melee to play in

[01:20] Midnight. First up, we have Fury Warrior

[01:22] being a slightly easier choice compared

[01:24] to Arms. Midnight pruned away onslaught

[01:26] from this spec, but did pick up Rend in

[01:28] the process, which means slightly more

[01:30] maintenance overall, but still a pretty

[01:31] simple rotation. And thanks to some

[01:33] other changes to the Fury Tree combined

[01:35] with mobility nerfs to other classes, it

[01:37] should be easier to maintain

[01:38] slaughterhouse stacks. As long as you

[01:40] can stay on target and slam your

[01:41] rotation, you're doing something right.

[01:43] Speaking of slamming, arms will be one

[01:44] of the easiest melee, too, but will

[01:46] require a bit of tuning early on.

[01:48] Rotationally, the spec hasn't changed

[01:50] too much, and all of your damage is

[01:52] going to come from mortal strike, rend,

[01:53] overpower, and now slam. There's a

[01:55] chance you won't even play ignore pain

[01:57] anymore since it has a 20 second cool

[01:59] down. Next up is Rhett Paladin, which

[02:01] might not be a surprise to some of you

[02:02] regular viewers. Like most specs on this

[02:04] list, Rhett got a simplified rotation

[02:06] going into Midnight with Hammer of

[02:07] Wrath, now replacing Judgment During

[02:09] Wings, and with Final Reckoning being

[02:11] baked into execution sentence. Just like

[02:13] the past, the hardest part of playing

[02:14] Rhett will be managing utility,

[02:16] including your blessings and lay on

[02:17] hands. But with a very simple rotation

[02:19] and a beefy defensive kit, this spec is

[02:21] still solid for any beginner. Moving on,

[02:23] let's talk about DK. Even though Unholy

[02:26] got a pretty significant rework in

[02:27] Midnight, it does have a simpler

[02:29] rotation. Instead of managing festering

[02:30] wounds, you now have lesser ghouls.

[02:32] However, they are functionally the same

[02:34] thing. In Midnight, it's now easier to

[02:36] keep up diseases since they are spread

[02:38] automatically with Scourge Strike, and

[02:39] damage is a bit more passive since it is

[02:41] significantly tied [music] into pets who

[02:43] can DPS for you. As far as Frost is

[02:45] concerned, this spec is pretty simple

[02:47] rotationally, as most of your damage

[02:49] comes from three buttons. The main

[02:51] challenge is being able to consistently

[02:52] set up kills on your own. It's still one

[02:54] of the most scripted specs in PvP. Now,

[02:56] with all this in mind, there is still a

[02:58] fair amount of skill expression with DK

[03:00] at a high level, especially with spell

[03:01] warden, which gives the class some

[03:03] muchneeded utility. So, for now, we're

[03:05] going to put Fury in the very easy tier

[03:07] with red arms and our two DK specs being

[03:10] a tier below. Moving on, most Melee will

[03:12] fall into the moderate difficulty tier.

[03:14] These are specs that might be more

[03:16] complicated rotationally or require a

[03:18] bit more game knowledge to play well.

[03:19] Now, this might sound like a complete

[03:20] shock to some people, [music] but we're

[03:22] actually bumping up Subrogue to the

[03:24] moderate difficulty tier for Midnight.

[03:25] Historically, this spec was a bit

[03:27] challenging since you needed to juggle

[03:29] stun DRS while playing around the

[03:31] cooldown reduction of Shadow Dance. But

[03:33] now with a static 20- second cooldown on

[03:34] dance, the reduction of the diminishing

[03:36] return timer, and being limited to two

[03:38] cheap shots, Subrogue is the most face

[03:40] roll it's ever been. You don't even have

[03:42] rupture to maintain. Stun timing and CC

[03:44] will still matter, but the spec sort of

[03:46] plays itself. Now, when it comes to

[03:48] assassination, this spec is still quite

[03:50] maintenanceheavy, but remains a good

[03:52] entry point to the rogue [music] class.

[03:53] Asa lost its AoE silence, but can now

[03:56] spread bleeds easily with Crimson

[03:57] Tempest. For the most part, you're still

[03:59] going to focus on keeping up Garrett and

[04:01] Rupture while pressing kidneyshot on

[04:03] cooldown. The next spec in the moderate

[04:04] difficulty tier is Windalker Monk. Over

[04:06] the past few years, this spec has become

[04:08] more of a brawler melee and got a few

[04:10] redesigns in Midnight Centering around

[04:12] cooldowns. Storm Earth, and Fire was

[04:14] replaced by Zenith, which triggers the

[04:16] new Apex talent, Tigerey Brew, for

[04:18] additional damage. What this means is

[04:19] that you now have even more kill

[04:21] potential as long as you consistently

[04:23] line everything up. As far as Havoc

[04:25] Demon Hunter is concerned, this spec

[04:26] hasn't changed too much rotationally.

[04:28] However, the spec did lose both fell

[04:30] eruption as a range stun and netherwalk

[04:32] as an emergency defensive. Blur was also

[04:35] reworked to provide damage reduction

[04:36] instead of dodge. Overall, DH will

[04:38] probably feel a bit more fragile while

[04:40] still having a relatively clunky burst

[04:42] sequence. All these melee that we just

[04:44] covered will be going into the moderate

[04:45] difficulty tier. But now, let's talk

[04:47] about some of the more challenging specs

[04:49] to play. Starting with Outlaw Rogue.

[04:51] Historically, this has been one of the

[04:52] most APM intensive specs to play in PvP

[04:55] thanks to its multiple cooldown

[04:56] reduction mechanics. While Blizzard did

[04:58] make Outlaw slightly easier with the

[04:59] change to roll the bones, it's still

[05:01] going to be a challenge for most

[05:02] players. Survival Hunter is also going

[05:04] to remain a bit more difficult compared

[05:06] to melee. This spec was pruned quite a

[05:08] bit with explosive shot, flanking

[05:10] strike, and even kill shot removed from

[05:11] its rotation. However, buff management

[05:13] is still going to be extremely important

[05:15] thanks to tip the spear. And as always,

[05:17] part of the difficulty of playing this

[05:18] spec is knowing when and how to weave in

[05:20] and out of melee range. And in Midnight,

[05:22] we definitely think Enhancement Shaman

[05:24] will be one of the more challenging

[05:25] specs to play. Enhance has a pretty

[05:27] complex rotation as Totemic is now

[05:29] highly reactive due to a new talent

[05:31] called Elemental Tempo. And while

[05:32] Enhance is known for its massive burst

[05:34] windows, you really need to have maximum

[05:36] uptime during your offensives. Dropping

[05:38] your wind condition will really set you

[05:39] back. And that's not to mention all the

[05:41] other utility tasks you're expected to

[05:43] do at the same time. As far as the

[05:45] hardest melee in the game, that award

[05:46] still goes to feral druid. Even though

[05:48] blood talons and adaptive swarm were

[05:50] removed from the game, the spec still

[05:52] requires an absurd amount of

[05:53] multitasking. Whether it's stunning,

[05:54] cycloning, rooting, refreshing bleeds,

[05:56] you name it, you always feel like there

[05:58] is more you could do, especially after a

[06:01] change to the forest walk talent on the

[06:02] druid tree, which will make it extra

[06:04] important to keep regrowth rolling on

[06:06] yourself. So yeah, there is still a lot

[06:08] you need to micromanage as a feral

[06:10] druid. Anyway, we think these four specs

[06:12] will be the hardest to play in Midnight

[06:13] Season 1. Now, it's time to look at

[06:15] range DPS. Starting with what might be

[06:17] the easiest spec in the game. Surprise,

[06:19] surprise, it's Beast Mastery Hunter,

[06:21] which is actually easier to play in

[06:23] Midnight. The expansion removed the need

[06:24] to manage barb shot stacks while making

[06:27] Beastial Wrath a static 30-second cool

[06:29] down. And in case you have been out of

[06:30] the loop, hunters are actually pretty

[06:32] tanky these days. As far as marks is

[06:34] concerned, you could make an argument

[06:35] that this spec is a bit more frustrating

[06:36] to play in midnight since aimed shot has

[06:38] a ridiculously long cast time. [music]

[06:40] However, the spec has an even simpler

[06:42] damage rotation in midnight and has

[06:44] ridiculous pressure during cooldown

[06:45] windows. You will be the target in so

[06:47] many matchups, but it's still possible

[06:49] to get most of your damage off since

[06:50] many specs lost some micro CC. We also

[06:53] think both evoker specs belong in the

[06:55] easy category for range DPS. Devastation

[06:57] is very simple damage-wise since all you

[06:59] need to do is burn your two charge

[07:01] spells and then spam disintegrate all

[07:03] game. Evoker is also still relatively

[07:05] tanky, especially against melee thanks

[07:07] to having near unlimited mobility. And

[07:09] since renewing blaze now automatically

[07:11] procs off obsidian scales, removing a

[07:13] bit of defensive skill expression from

[07:14] the spec. We're also going to put the

[07:16] new devourer demon hunter in the easy

[07:19] category. Although it is technically a

[07:21] caster, it's not really prone to

[07:22] interrupts, especially with collapsing

[07:24] star, which is unkickable with a PvP

[07:26] talent. [music] Even though demon

[07:27] hunters have some utility, you're more

[07:29] or less a one-shot damage bot as this

[07:31] spec with the added bonus of having a

[07:33] ranged stun, [music] which definitely

[07:34] comes in handy. Anyway, these specs will

[07:36] represent the easiest and best options

[07:38] for beginners at the start of midnight.

[07:40] Now, just like melee, most range DPS

[07:42] will fall in the moderately difficult

[07:44] category. This is where you will find a

[07:45] spec like balance druid. Boomies have a

[07:48] pretty simple rotation and crazy

[07:49] impactful cooldowns. Of course, the main

[07:51] learning curve of the spec is still all

[07:53] of the non-damage responsibilities like

[07:55] using cyclone effectively and knowing

[07:57] when it's time to kite or tank damage in

[07:59] bear form. We also think that at least

[08:01] two out of the three mage specs are

[08:02] moderately difficult. The mage class

[08:04] overall did suffer a little bit

[08:06] defensively going into midnight, having

[08:08] worse damage mitigation and slightly

[08:10] nerfed mobility. However, both frost and

[08:12] fire are a bit easier rotationally, and

[08:14] mages overall are still a nightmare to

[08:16] deal with for most melee. Arcane is

[08:18] still the hardest mage spec since it not

[08:20] only has the worst defensive kit without

[08:22] cauterize or cold snap, but also since

[08:24] Arcane Surge continues to be super

[08:26] clunky in some lobbies. If you're not

[08:28] good at juking, you're not going to have

[08:29] a good time [music] playing this spec.

[08:31] And even though shadow priest is another

[08:33] spec which does require a bit of juking,

[08:34] it is still an absolute tank in arena.

[08:36] [music] And even though the spec is

[08:38] prone to interrupts, it continues to

[08:39] manage them quite well with dispel magic

[08:41] and flash heal, which offers 10% damage

[08:44] reduction to assist in bulking [music]

[08:45] up. Last expansion, we saw shadow

[08:47] perform really well at low MMR, and we

[08:49] think the same will be true in Midnight.

[08:50] We also think elemental shaman deserves

[08:52] a moderate difficulty ranking. The Ellie

[08:54] Shaman gameplay loop has changed

[08:56] considerably, and instead of primordial

[08:57] wave, you now have Voltaic Blaze, which

[09:00] is basically like an all-in-one AoE

[09:02] flame shock and earth shock.

[09:03] Rotationally, this spec is still pretty

[09:05] easy, but it is a shaman at the end of

[09:07] the day, which means playing goalie for

[09:08] your team. Now, we need to talk about

[09:10] Warlock. You could argue that both Demo

[09:12] and Destro got slightly easier in

[09:14] Midnight. Desterro lost Shadow Burn as a

[09:16] rotational spell and is more or less the

[09:18] same spec as before, spreading wither,

[09:20] using Confl,

[09:22] and then trying to set up a double coils

[09:24] into double [music] chaos bowl. Demo, on

[09:26] the other hand, still needs to hard cast

[09:27] quite a bit, but got some help with a

[09:29] mini rework as dread stalkers are once

[09:31] again instant. [music] Tyrant was also

[09:33] changed and no longer requires

[09:34] snapshotting, but will now require you

[09:36] to summon a bunch of demons once it's

[09:38] active. Now, for better or worse,

[09:39] Affliction is likely the hardest caster

[09:41] going into season 1. Not only does this

[09:43] spec require a ton of hard casting with

[09:45] the ability to stack UA like its Legion

[09:47] 2.0, but Athle has a second spell school

[09:51] to work with. If you get kicked, you

[09:52] can't do anything. Anyway, here is what

[09:54] we expect difficulty to look like for

[09:56] the remaining range DPS in [music]

[09:58] Midnight Season 1. Finally, let's talk

[10:00] about healers. a role that was in

[10:02] drastic need of a difficulty shift.

[10:04] Representing one of the easiest healers

[10:06] to play is holy paladin, which we still

[10:07] think is one of the best entry points

[10:09] into this role. The spec is still based

[10:11] around a repetitive builder spender

[10:13] system, but got quite a few quality of

[10:15] life improvements on the cooldown end

[10:17] this time around. Wings now

[10:18] automatically procs either tiers

[10:20] deliverance or hand of divinity

[10:21] depending on your build. While aura

[10:22] mastery automatically shoots out a

[10:24] divine toll, so as one of the

[10:26] cooldownbased healers, you should notice

[10:28] an easier time pressing your CDs.

[10:30] Another great choice for beginners is

[10:31] Holy Priest, which depending on your

[10:33] build, could actually be a threebutton

[10:35] spec. That's right, with the ultimate

[10:36] serenity talent, you don't even have

[10:38] sanctify. Blizzard also made it much

[10:41] easier to play Oracle, making the hero

[10:43] spec much more passive. So yeah, holy

[10:45] priest is still a solid option,

[10:47] especially if tuning is right. These two

[10:49] healers should feel the easiest for most

[10:51] players in season 1. Now, if you want to

[10:53] play a more interactive healer, there

[10:54] are a ton of great options in the

[10:56] moderate difficulty tier. Blizzard made

[10:58] some changes to disc priest and [music]

[10:59] midnight aimed at making your rotation a

[11:01] bit simpler and more fluid. Instead of

[11:03] needing to minmax a bunch of modifiers,

[11:05] more power was put into baseline spells.

[11:07] This spec requires a bit of

[11:08] multitasking, however, and you'll need

[11:10] to keep up dots and atonement,

[11:12] especially as voidw [music] weaver.

[11:13] Mistweaver monk will also land in this

[11:15] middle tier. Historically, this spec has

[11:17] been quite difficult because of a bunch

[11:18] of maintenance. But now, Zen Spheres

[11:20] will automatically proc from other

[11:21] spells, and Renewing Mist got a giga

[11:23] healing modifier that makes it

[11:24] automatically crank on [music] the

[11:26] lowest health target. Your experience

[11:27] will vary drastically based on the build

[11:29] you play. However, monk in general seems

[11:31] easier than before. Resto Shaman should

[11:34] also feel easier, too, with a slightly

[11:35] watered down rotation, but here we have

[11:37] to address an elephant in the room.

[11:39] Shaman, at least at the time of making

[11:40] this video, was struggling with healing

[11:42] output. On paper, this spec should feel

[11:44] easier compared to the past, especially

[11:46] with the removal of earth and wall

[11:47] totem, but you might need to wait until

[11:49] there is some tuning to truly excel. The

[11:51] last two remaining healers will be a bit

[11:53] more challenging. While preservation

[11:55] evoker technically has a simpler

[11:56] rotation, it is now more hot focused

[11:58] when playing flame shaper, so buff

[12:00] management will be extra important. With

[12:02] that said, the difficulty of playing

[12:03] evoker will still be tied to

[12:05] positioning, which has gotten both

[12:06] easier and harder simultaneously.

[12:08] [music]

[12:08] easier in the sense that you no longer

[12:10] launch yourself into the open every time

[12:12] you verden embrace, but harder since you

[12:14] no longer have a ranged [music] kick to

[12:16] avoid CC. Resto Druid is also shaping up

[12:18] to be a bit challenging in Midnight.

[12:20] Even though the spec lost some key

[12:21] buttons like scenarian ward, it is still

[12:23] very maintenanceheavy. Keeping up life

[12:25] bloom is now more important than ever

[12:27] since it's effectively your burst heal

[12:29] with regrowth barely moving HP bars.

[12:31] You'll also need to multitask as this

[12:33] spec, slowing down damage with cyclone

[12:35] and finding the right moments to push

[12:36] for CC. Anyway, these will be our

[12:38] difficulty rankings for healers going
