8:10[00:00] Hello guys, how's it going? My name is
[00:01] Dial. And it seems that patch 12.0.7
[00:03] completely broke leveling in Midnight,
[00:06] but in the best way possible. Let's be
[00:08] honest, up until now leveling in this
[00:10] expansion hasn't been completely
[00:11] terribly slow, but also hasn't really
[00:13] been fast either. With many players
[00:15] noting that it kind of feels like a
[00:16] slog, especially with the gear scaling
[00:18] dropping off as you're trying to make
[00:20] your way through the final few levels.
[00:22] Thankfully, this patch in particular
[00:24] transforms how we're going to be
[00:25] leveling our alts or any of our
[00:27] characters. Blizzard heavily buffed up
[00:29] the experience gain for this patch all
[00:30] across the board, increasing the amount
[00:32] of gains you can make from your weekly
[00:34] content, pray, delve quests, but even
[00:37] also the new invasion zones where you
[00:38] can basically take a character from
[00:40] level 80 to 90 in a single afternoon.
[00:43] And it's only going to get sillier from
[00:45] here because the expected Turbulent
[00:47] Timeways event is going to go online,
[00:49] buffing up experience for everybody by
[00:51] 30 additional percent, which is going to
[00:53] make leveling that much more of a
[00:55] breeze. So, for today's video, I simply
[00:57] wanted to highlight exactly how players
[00:58] are leveling their alts, going over some
[01:00] of the fastest and some of the easiest
[01:02] brain-off routing available, especially
[01:04] if you're trying to bolster up your army
[01:06] of alts ahead of season two content with
[01:08] the patch 12.1 looming on the horizon.
[01:12] With that being said, as always, if you
[01:13] guys want to see more regular guides and
[01:14] updates for Midnight as an expansion, be
[01:16] sure to follow the channel and
[01:17] subscribe. But otherwise, let's dive
[01:21] right in.
[01:24] So, before we actually get into the
[01:25] leveling route, I do want to talk a
[01:26] little bit about war mode. Technically,
[01:28] war mode is ideal if you are going to be
[01:31] leveling from 80 to 90 and are trying to
[01:33] make it as fast as possible. Enabling
[01:35] war mode does mean that the open world
[01:37] becomes a little more dangerous, so if
[01:38] you're really averse to, you know, PvP
[01:40] combat in general, you probably don't
[01:43] want to have it enabled all the time,
[01:45] but do know that you're likely going to
[01:47] be going back to Silvermoon to re-enable
[01:49] it because having it out for so many
[01:51] different open world quests is huge. 15%
[01:55] additional EXP that you can get on
[01:56] average for most characters depending on
[01:58] the faction balance up in the open world
[02:00] ends up being massive. So, it is
[02:02] something that you likely just want to
[02:04] put on and then keep on. You're not
[02:06] really going to spend too much time
[02:07] actually doing stuff in the open world.
[02:09] So, the danger level shouldn't be that
[02:10] high. But if you do have to turn it off,
[02:13] you may want to go back to capital city
[02:15] to turn it back on before you turn in
[02:16] some of the quests. But basically, you
[02:18] try to have it on as all as best as
[02:19] possible because the amount of XP you
[02:21] get out of it is more than worth it.
[02:25] Now, another thing that we'll be doing
[02:26] for this strategy is while we're
[02:27] figuring out our route, the route isn't
[02:29] specifically set up in such a way where
[02:31] you have to do like one zone the next
[02:33] then the next in a very specific order.
[02:35] Technically, you're free to do any zone
[02:37] you want to, but essentially you'll be
[02:39] using the prey system to guide you which
[02:41] zone you're going to be leveling in.
[02:43] Prey quests for the weekly are worth it.
[02:45] They grant you a decent bit of EXP. So,
[02:48] picking them up basically selects which
[02:50] zone you're going to be clearing out.
[02:52] And essentially, you want to end that
[02:53] zone by finishing off your prey target
[02:55] because that'll immediately teleport you
[02:56] to Silvermoon. Not only completing a
[02:58] quest, which will have a bonus within
[03:00] war mode, which is massive, but also
[03:02] takes you back to Silvermoon to select
[03:04] the next prey area and then do that zone
[03:07] specifically. So, we'll be utilizing
[03:09] prey together with all the other
[03:10] content. It doesn't really matter which
[03:12] zone you do first for this, but I am
[03:14] going to break down the zones more or
[03:15] less in the terms of the in terms of the
[03:17] order that I did them specifically. But
[03:20] every time you go into a zone, make sure
[03:22] you have a prey active within that zone
[03:24] and you want to be finishing of that
[03:25] zone with completing that prey objective
[03:27] specifically.
[03:30] Now, the basic objective no matter which
[03:31] zone you go into is to do that zone's
[03:34] event. So, every single one of the
[03:36] factions or I guess the three that we'll
[03:38] be actually utilizing instead of four
[03:40] has some sort of like a big zone event.
[03:42] Whether I'm talking about abundance,
[03:43] swaray, or the harandar stories. Those
[03:45] are the three you're going to want to
[03:46] focus on. You still want to visit void
[03:48] storm. You're just not going to be using
[03:50] doing the void assault because it's not
[03:51] really worth the time spent doing it or
[03:53] the XP that you get up for the time
[03:55] spent, but the others are definitely
[03:57] worth it. So, every single zone you're
[03:58] going to go into, you want to do the
[04:00] pre-objective there, get the delves of
[04:02] those zones done, but not turned in just
[04:03] yet, and do the world event of that zone
[04:06] if one is available, since abundance
[04:08] tends to move around quite regularly.
[04:10] The first zone I went to was Horrendar.
[04:13] And in Horrendar, make sure you complete
[04:15] the zone's weekly quest with the
[04:16] Horrendar stories. Doesn't really matter
[04:18] which one you select, but definitely
[04:20] worth doing especially in a war mode. As
[04:22] well as you want to make sure to get all
[04:24] of the other delves within the zone
[04:26] completed, and then, like I said before,
[04:29] finishing out with praying.
[04:31] From there, I actually ended up doing a
[04:32] void storm where I simply completed all
[04:34] of the delves of the zone, killed a
[04:36] couple of rares since they were on the
[04:38] way, and then mostly focusing keeping up
[04:40] and finishing up by praying. From there,
[04:42] I moved on to Zul'Aman, which make sure
[04:44] to get all of those delves done. And
[04:45] while you're within those zones, whether
[04:47] it is void storm, Eversong Woods,
[04:49] Zul'Aman, or Horrendar, if you do see
[04:51] the abundance event, it's definitely
[04:53] worth doing even in war mode. You can
[04:56] technically turn it off since war mode
[04:57] is enabled and you can't technically PvP
[04:59] within the abundance. Most players don't
[05:01] really do that since they're there to
[05:03] level anyway. I usually can find like a
[05:05] little pocket where you can just collect
[05:06] all your abundance resources without
[05:08] having to engage with other players, but
[05:09] definitely worth doing and worth
[05:11] completing whenever it is available.
[05:13] Last zone I went to was Eversong Woods,
[05:15] which is filled with a ton of delves.
[05:17] Not only do you have the delves the two
[05:19] next to Silvermoon, you have one up
[05:20] north in the Quel'Thalas area, but also
[05:23] one south below as well. So, that's a
[05:25] lot of delves for you to complete, but
[05:26] also this war event.
[05:29] Notably on this war event, I think the
[05:31] side quests for this war are generally
[05:33] worth doing. They don't give you a lot
[05:35] of XP, but they're usually so quick to
[05:36] complete, especially if you choose the
[05:38] Blood Knights faction. They really take
[05:40] very little effort, and they're within
[05:42] the relative zone area, so it's not like
[05:44] you're really having to go out of your
[05:45] way to complete them as well. So, if you
[05:47] are trying to maximize those rewards,
[05:49] technically you can go for any other
[05:51] faction, whatever faction you're working
[05:52] on, and it's not like it's going to take
[05:54] you that much time and really be that
[05:56] much out of the way to complete those
[05:58] faction quests. Though, if you are
[06:00] trying to maximize your speed run
[06:02] potential for this, Blood Knights
[06:04] apparently is the best faction for you
[06:06] to do all of those side quests into.
[06:08] Though, some of them can definitely be a
[06:10] little bit finicky because of the way
[06:11] that you select those side quests
[06:13] depending on the faction can apparently
[06:15] be a little different. There's a lot of
[06:17] nuance to it and a lot of like detail
[06:19] stuff, but generally speaking, Blood
[06:21] Knights is the faster faction for any of
[06:23] those side quests. And make sure you
[06:25] complete the weekly quests as well.
[06:28] Completing all of those weekly events
[06:30] and having all of those delve quests
[06:32] that you were ready to turn in at once
[06:34] with war mode active to make sure that
[06:36] you get in the most of experience for
[06:39] the world questing cuz technically those
[06:41] delve quests and weekly quests are
[06:43] quests in the open world. So, with the
[06:45] world scale with the war mode bonus, all
[06:47] of them can easily take you up four
[06:49] levels. So, that's four levels that you
[06:51] don't actually have to grind through,
[06:53] quest through, or do much with. What's
[06:55] notable here is this is four free levels
[06:58] just for doing your weekly objectives
[07:00] that you can just do once and get the
[07:02] most amount of experience for the time
[07:03] spent. On top of it though, this is
[07:06] going to scale even crazily out of
[07:08] control because you're looking at four
[07:10] easy levels now, but when Turbulent
[07:11] Timeways is active for 30% additional
[07:14] experience, that's going to be even more
[07:17] value since all of those quests are
[07:19] quests and Turbulent Timeways will
[07:21] reward you additional experience for
[07:22] quests specifically, which will stack
[07:25] with war mode and all the other bonuses.
[07:27] And if you can get Darkmoon Faire
[07:28] squeezed in between of it for 10% more
[07:30] XP, you can really get a lot of mileage
[07:33] out of those weekly quests, which makes
[07:34] them definitely worth doing. And
[07:37] technically, you can wait to turn in all
[07:38] of those weekly quests up until you're
[07:40] level 86 just so you can skip that last
[07:42] four levels from 86 all the way to a 90.
[07:46] Or I guess technically could do it at 85
[07:49] once the turbulent timer bonus and any
[07:51] other benefits are online as well.
[07:55] Now, by the time that I was done
[07:57] clearing out all those weekly
[07:58] objectives, I was able to go from 80 to
[08:00] 84, more or less. So, you will still
[08:02] need a couple of more levels,
[08:04] potentially one or two. And the best
[08:06] place that I think you should get those
[08:07] last few levels, well, actually will be
[08:10] from the new invasion zones of Val and
[08:12] Nightal. They ended up buffing the
[08:14] experience rates in both of those zones
[08:17] when you're running them on a non-max
[08:19] level character on normal world tier.
[08:22] And essentially, basically everything
[08:23] you do in those zones from the quests,
[08:25] side objectives, rares, world quests,
[08:28] even treasures, essentially just
[08:30] existing in the zone gives you
[08:32] experience. Literally any activity you
[08:35] do in there grants you EXP and a decent
[08:37] bit of it just for completing some of
[08:39] those zones passively, which also do
[08:41] have other rewards as well. What makes
[08:44] Val and Nightal especially good, if you
[08:46] are looking to actually not just level
[08:48] that character but play them in the
[08:49] future, is the fact that you can start
[08:51] collecting gear but also currencies to
[08:53] gear out that character better once they
[08:55] do hit max level. The benefits of it
[08:57] being the fact that you're earning field
[08:59] accolades really, really early.
[09:01] Technically, if you just looking to get
[09:03] the most amount of field accolades for
[09:04] the time spent, you could just start out
[09:06] in the zone specifically just to farm
[09:08] field accolades endlessly. But you will
[09:10] get a lot more field accolades once you
[09:12] can do the zones in heroic world tier.
[09:14] But we'll be specifically be going to
[09:15] invasion zones just because it is the
[09:17] simplest route to get experience.
[09:19] Essentially, run around the zone,
[09:21] participate in all the events, kill the
[09:23] world boss if a group is available for
[09:24] it, do all the side quests because
[09:26] they're definitely worth it, and in no
[09:28] time you should be able to complete last
[09:30] few levels needed in order to get level
[09:32] 90.
[09:34] But with that being said, as always, I
[09:35] don't want to take all of you guys so
