Data-Driven YouTube Strategy — Step-by-Step Guide & Transcript

[00:01] with you, you're essentially throwing views, subscribers, and potentially even money in the trash. I see creators production, making the best videos they possibly can, but then uploading their

[00:14] videos with zero research and wondering why they get 47 views. What I'm about to when it comes to running my channels, and it's made my job with running my network of different channels a lot easier. And the crazy part is that most

[00:27] YouTubers have never even heard of the tools that I'm about with you today. So, the first tool before you ever upload another video on YouTube that you need to look into is called Velio. Now, I'm not associated with Velio at all. I will

[00:40] if they do, I'll drop it down in the description. But, you know I don't of value from it, and Velio is one of the things I've been getting a ton of value from lately, and it's made uploading my videos so much easier

[00:52] because I'm making videos on the right topics. Let me show you. So, if we jump essentially what you can do is create lists of different channels. So, I have Money Matt, the channel you're watching right now. And basically, on this list,

[01:08] what I've done is I've added 143 different channels within my niche that are related to making money on YouTube and YouTube growth, all the things that I talk about on this channel. So, what I've done is I've gone and clicked add

[01:21] channels that I personally knew about, which was maybe 10 or 20 channels, and niche. Find channels that are making similar videos to you. And then what you can do is go to similar channels right here, and then find more channels that

[01:34] this one looks like it's about space and stuff, so that's not really related, so I'll reject that one. This one is about doing YouTube, so I'll track that. This track that one. And then you can just basically go through the list, and

[01:47] before you know it, you'll have a list of 143 channels that are all doing videos within your niche. Then what you can do is go down here to the filter settings, and then you can filter this by videos uploaded in the last 90 days.

[01:59] And once you do this, then you're able to sort these by views. This will show you the top viewed videos on all of your competitors' channels within that time frame. And you can also even go ahead and sort this by outlier. Now, what

[02:12] outlier does is it will sort it by videos that have gotten the most amount of subscribers. So, if this channel right here only has 1,000 subscribers, but it got 60,000 views, this is an incredible video idea for me to make on

[02:25] recommend doing is building these channel lists of your specific channel many competitor channels as you possibly can, and you can get incredible ideas combine a lot of these ideas, as well. For example, this video about YouTube

[02:40] about never growing on YouTube is doing really good. What if you combine those and did why 99% of YouTube Shorts channels never grow? Also an incredible idea. Think about combining ideas to get even more views. So, let's say we get an

[02:53] idea, right? Like we got this idea of 99% of channels never growing on the title of this video, paste it into other channels that have also gotten a lot of views. There are. Look at this.

[03:06] This really validates the idea. But, finding an idea is half the battle. What going to get a ton of views? And then I'll show you how to upload your videos be uploading videos without this tool that I'm about to share with you. And

[03:20] developed myself due to the fact that nothing like this existed. I actually spent over six figures of my own money acquiring and developing this tool. and that's how much this helps me in my YouTube business, and that tool is Tube

[03:35] ahead and open it up, and we go to get started, what you can do is drop in a video title, like we have that title, Why 99% of creators never grow on YouTube, right there. And then what we can do is we can go to contexts. This is

[03:51] what separates this from using something like ChatGPT or something else. So, we can go then and copy the links of each of these videos, including this one. link to this one as well. That one got 1.2 million views, that's incredible.

[04:04] We'll go down here, this one 50K views, copy the link to it, paste that right there, enter it. Now we have three videos as contexts, as you can see right do is it's going to pull all of the information from these three contexts

[04:17] videos and run it through all of these viral frameworks for making your videos get as many views as they possibly can. It'll run it through our viral hook database of all of the best viral hooks that all of my most viral videos have

[04:29] strategic ordering format, our value loop structure to continually open and close loops for viewers to keep people watching throughout your whole video, therefore increasing your audience retention. And we also use emotional

[04:42] strategy. It would take me hours to explain all of this, but safe to say that your scripts will be the absolute best scripts you possibly could have information, applying the best proven strategies, and then you can even select

[04:55] a word count as well. So, let's say we want to do a 10-minute video. That will be around a 1,500 word count right there. We'll select it, and then we use better than using something like ChatGPT, which is just going to give you

[05:08] everywhere on the internet. It's not going to give you YouTube specific scripts, especially not ones providing the absolute best contexts. Then we can longer than using a traditional LLM because we're running all of this

[05:22] things. There's a lot of contexts involved due to the fact that we're taking all of that information from those three videos, but there we go. Now look at what it's writing here. So, let me move myself out of the way, and let's

[05:36] "Listen, if you're trying to make it on YouTube, I need to give you some brutal reality check right from the start. Out of the 115 million channels on the platform, the vast majority are basically digital graveyards. We're

[05:49] talking 90% of channels never reaching 1,000 subscribers." That's a great hook. It's using emotional psychology to keep people watching because it makes people feel something when they listen to that. So, this is an incredible script. As you

[06:01] can see, the word count isn't perfect on it, but it got pretty close, and you're not able to do word counts if you're just using something like Claude or ChatGPT directly. Plus, it won't be trained on all of this awesome stuff.

[06:13] you have an amazing script for your videos. And let's say you made your maybe sitting down in front of a camera, maybe making AI avatar with something make your videos, and I have tons of tutorials here on the channel showing

[06:28] how to make videos, then it comes time to upload them. And you should never doing what I'm about to share with you right here. So, the key is uploading your video initially as unlisted. You might be saying, "Matt, why would I

[06:41] upload all this unlisted if I'm trying to make it public?" Well, number one, when you upload your videos as unlisted, what it allows YouTube to do is to scan if there's any potential problems on them that will come up, including like a

[06:54] something wrong that could get flagged in the YouTube terms of service. YouTube to be able to run through all that, so I recommend just keeping it unlisted. But, it's finished uploading, copy the link to that video, and then bring it back to

[07:09] Tube Magic. Then go to the all tools section, scroll down right here, and then go to warp upload. From here then, you can paste in the link of your unlisted video, and click generate. And what Tube Magic will do is it'll

[07:22] generate you three different titles, a description, and a set of tags for your video. Now, there's a lot of debate on whether tags are even valuable or useful or not anymore. I think they are, but a lot of people are saying, "Is it even

[07:35] writing tags?" Because YouTube's going to index everything you say in your video, and the quality of your video is the most important thing. Now, the cool thing about Tube Magic is that it will give you an incredibly great quality

[07:47] your time to sit there for 20, 30 minutes coming up with every single tag? Absolutely not, especially given the fact that they matter less right now. But, what does matter is your title, and also your description. And what Tube

[08:00] different titles that we can potentially use. I really like this one right here, Why Most Channels Fail Before 1,000 Subs and What to Do. That's an incredibly gives us our description that we can go ahead and use as well, just copy-paste

[08:14] that. And then it gives us our tags that we can also use right here. And we can simply click this button, copy those tags, paste it in our tag section. That worrying about all this stuff, and instead we're spending our time on

[08:26] things that matter more, which is making more valuable content and getting more great ideas for our channels. And now you know my personal tool stack for generating videos, I made another software called vid.ai, which allows you

[08:39] to generate full 20-minute videos. It's only applicable if you're doing faceless videos, however, though, so keep that in mind. But, it's an incredible tool for that. And my best stack that I recommend is Velio for video ideas, Tube Magic for

[08:51] video. And potentially, if you're doing faceless content, vid.ai can be an also, within the Tube Magic tool section, we have a niche explorer, where it goes over 200-plus niches on YouTube, as well as the approximate RPMs of those

[09:06] niches, which is how much they make per 1,000 views, as well as an example faceless channel in each of these niches that you can check out, as well, if you videos hoping they're going to work. Start using data to guarantee that your

[09:32] YouTube channels, and I personally think that a small amount invested into amounts of hours, and potentially hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, on hiring expensive scriptwriters, when this will honestly write a better script
