This video documents a 80-day experiment with a YouTube Shorts channel focused on clip-making, where the creator shares results, strategies, and insights. The channel achieved monetization in 60 days, earning R$3,446 in the first 23 days of monetization, and the creator emphasizes the importance of not modeling other channels and using a viral reposting strategy.
The channel is a clip-making channel that selects best moments from longer content like live streams, lectures, and podcasts.
Started posting on November 5th; by December 4th, had 86,000 subscribers? Actually, the transcript says 699 subscribers and 234,000 views, not reaching monetization goals.
To monetize Shorts, need 1,000 subscribers and 10 million views in the last 90 days.
Advises against modeling other channels; instead, target a broad audience to achieve 10 million views.
Post only viral videos (already validated on other platforms). If a video gets stuck at 10-20k views, it's a good sign but YouTube limits it. Solution: unlist, make private, delete, then repost after 30 days, possibly with small changes.
A video originally got 16,000 views; after reposting with modifications (longer length, etc.), it reached 3.3 million views and earned R$500.
Reached monetization: 13 million views and 32,000 subscribers. Hit 10 million views in 55 days.
Requested monetization on Dec 29, but it took 5 days to be accepted, with views counting delayed until Jan 2.
Earned R$3,446 in 23 days of monetization (up to Jan 25), with 19 million monetized views. Projected R$4,000 by month end.
The experiment shows that with a strategic approach—focusing on viral clips, reposting, and targeting a broad audience—YouTube Shorts can be monetized quickly, yielding significant earnings in the first month.

10:09[00:02] and in this video, I'll show you all my results. In addition, I'll share practice. This channel I'm going to show you is a clip-making channel; basically, a clip-making channel selects the best moments from
[00:16] selects the best moments from longer content like live streams, lectures, podcasts, and various other types of content. If you want to know more about how this world of clip-making works, just click on the first link in the description, which
[00:29] Clips" training. But now let's get to the practical part. Here's the first graph I'm going to show you: the first 30 days. We started posting our first clips on November 5th, and by December 4th, 30 days from now, if you
[00:43] look at today, we already have 86,000 subscribers. We're already heading towards going to show you the first 30 days so you can see that we don't achieve our results overnight. The method we
[00:56] use here to make our clips is the viral method; basically, I only post clips. Viral clips are clips that have already been validated on other social media platforms, so here it's a sure thing. The requirements for you to monetize your
[01:09] account through shorts are to reach 1000 subscribers, which is very easy and quick. The most complicated metric to achieve is 10 million views in the last 90 days.
[01:22] In our first 30 days on this channel, we didn't reach either goal. We reached 699 subscribers, didn't hit 1000, and got 234,000 views. The first insight I'm going to give you is this:
[01:35] when you create your shorts channel on YouTube, I always advise you to model. Basically, you take ideas from other channels to replicate the idea, right? More or less like this: the idea of modeling is
[01:48] getting results and you make a similar channel. This is very common; people have been doing this for a long time. So, what 's the deal? Don't model, and that's my insight. Don't model a YouTube channel...
[02:05] I'm going to show you this channel so you can get an idea. I've had this channel for 109 days and we still haven't reached 10 million views. Basically, the audience I'm targeting on this channel isn't
[02:18] very broad, so I can't hit 10 million views. I could, but only if I dedicated much more time and posted many more videos. So, with this channel, which I've been
[02:31] yet achieved monetization, I'm changing the idea behind it. I want to bring different content to a different audience that has a somewhat similar connection. posting for here isn't very broad, and I probably won't be able to
[02:46] my competitors, people who post similar cuts/shorts, have views either. So I'm targeting a new audience with this channel, but that's not
[02:58] the case with this channel. This channel, in fact, has a very large audience. And I can bring various types of content within this niche here, so it's a niche that has a very large audience, and because of that, I've already
[03:12] managed to monetize this account. So that 's the first insight. The second insight is this: at the beginning of your YouTube channel, what happens is that I only post viral videos, videos that have already gotten 2 million, 10 million, 5 million
[03:24] and even on YouTube. So when I post this video, in theory, it should get that number of views as well because it will already have the metrics qualified there, it will have a very good result, it's already a validated cut. However,
[03:38] when you post a very good cut at the beginning, you know what happens? It blocks the views of that video. So if you post videos and they keep hitting 10,000 views, 15,000, even 20,000 views and then stop
[03:50] getting views after a while, that's normal. To tell the truth, it's a great sign; it means you're posting extremely viral videos, but YouTube is limiting them. And to get out of this limbo of YouTube not
[04:03] can we do? Okay, so after a while, I recommend a while, I recommend 's not just a matter of taking it and reposting it. I'll teach you more or less how I do it. First,
[04:16] after 30 days of posting this extremely viral video with good metrics, I unlist it, then I make it private, and then I delete it. After doing all that, I
[04:29] post it again. Okay, that's the strategy I use. And there's a second part here: when posting, what you can do is make some small changes to your video so it's not exactly the same. But
[04:41] both ways have worked, right? It's worked the way I just unlisted, private, deleted, and then reposted the same video, and also the way I unlisted, private, and reposted the video with a
[04:54] slightly different approach. And there's also another case where I just unlisted the first video and then reposted it with a little more cut a little bit off the beginning, cut a little bit off the end, removed some things
[05:07] from the middle, added a different soundtrack. So you can follow this strategy. I'll show you some examples here. These were the first videos I posted. They got 16,000 views, 13,000 views, 7,000, 16,000, 15,000. There's
[05:21] one video here in particular, I do n't know if it's here, let's see. n't know if it's here, let's see. This video here has 16,000 you, which is an example. I did exactly this strategy that I just mentioned to
[05:34] you, of reposting the video. Exactly what happened, I posted it here on 12,000 views and stayed there. It did n't go beyond that. Let's see the metrics here. A metric of about 70% watched, but the
[05:50] But basically, it was a video that didn't... Okay, so what I did was repost look here, it's a one-minute video. At the time, YouTube Shorts didn't accept videos longer than 60 seconds. When I reposted it, it did. So what
[06:06] full length. Now I'll show you the result of this first change you see is that the video is minute and 19 seconds. But it's the same video. Look, it already has 3.3 million
[06:20] views! I posted it on December 27th, and today it already has given me R$500, and not all the views of this video were a while, which I'll tell you later. Okay, so if you look here,
[06:35] I posted the video on December 27th. I reposted the video, right, on reposted the video, right, on December 27th, and this video here... I posted it on November 19th, a little over 30 days later I reposted this video and it had
[06:47] great results. Okay, so here's a very valuable tip for you all, do this, especially if you're going to use the viral method, which is the method Cuts. Okay, one thing you'll also notice here is that I didn't post
[07:00] every day, okay? There were some days I didn't post. Okay, but I'll talk a little more about this issue of posting every day later. Okay, there are interesting to post every day on shorts, there are people who say it's
[07:12] interesting to post every day, twice a day, three times a day. Okay, I have n't reached a concrete conclusion about this yet, but as the video progresses you'll know more about my opinion on this scheme. So this was
[07:24] 699 subscribers. We didn't reach monetization. Now let's go to the 60 days, okay? So you can see here that in the 60 days we reached monetization and had a... Exponential growth, right?
[07:39] and had a... Exponential growth, right? From 234,000 views and 699 subscribers, we reached 13 million views and 32,000 subscribers in the month of [month], in those 60 days, right? After those 30 days, I started posting
[07:53] videos every day, and after a while, I stopped posting. What happened here? We reached 10 million views. Look, I got another graph December 29th, so we reached 10 million views in 55
[08:08] days, 10.3 million. And we had already hit the subscriber mark a long time ago, right? And what monetization? I thought, "Wow, man, I'm going to apply for monetization, right?" But it takes a monetization, so what I did was, I thought, "Man, I'm going to
[08:22] wait for monetization to start posting again." And that's exactly what I did. So I reached 10 million views here, and I basically started posting less. Here, on the day [date], January 3rd is the day we monetize, okay? We
[08:35] monetize exactly 60 days later, so on the day I monetized, I already posted a screenshot here because I'm not stupid, right? So it took about... I requested monetization on the 29th. It took 1, 2, 3, 4 days, on the fifth day, to accept my monetization. Okay, it's
[08:49] not that they accept the monetization, it's that it takes time to count, right? Like, I got 10 million views here on December 29th, and it started counting that I had 10 million views around January 2nd, more or less. So I
[09:02] requested monetization, and then they accepted the monetization. So there's a delay, right? There's a time for them to count the views on your channel. So in this using that strategy of reposting my November videos, but a
[09:15] little modeled, a little different, and it started to give great results. So here, after 60 days, we achieved YouTube monetization on this day that gave R$ 5.84.
[09:29] have a monetized channel and are earning good money, I'll leave the contact information for DBI Accounting in the comments and description. I've been a client of theirs for a long time. In fact, anyone who makes money online
[09:43] should have an accountant by their side because you need to declare the money you receive. If you declare it incorrectly or don't declare it at all, you if you don't declare it, you might get a visit from the Federal Police.
[09:56] Accounting and just say you came through Bora pra Prática, and they'll open your company for free. And the first two them, say you came from Bora pra Prática, and you have to follow the rules, there's
[10:09] no way to avoid paying taxes. So talk to them. And now let's show how much we earned in the last 28 days. Here we are, we've already made R$ monetizing on January 3rd,
[10:24] we made a pretty good amount of money for the first month. Monetization hasn't even been going on for 30 days yet, and we've already made almost R$3,500. Monetization counted up to January 25th; today is January 27th, 2025. So far, we've made R$
[10:39] 3,446. So, all those views—let's go here, the whole period—of those 33 here, the whole period—of those 33 million views, million views,
[10:55] Of course, we still haven't counted yesterday's views. So, there's a little less here, to be honest. We've only monetization. So that would be 19 million views, which
[11:10] gave us R$ 3,446. So, it was R$3,446 in 23 days. This channel could reach around R$4,000 by the end of the month. And we also have this monetized account on TikTok, so it all accumulates and then it's a
[11:24] thought about the results of this channel; I found it very interesting in just... In just 80 impressive results. If you want to learn how to create this channel for free, I have a tutorial here on YouTube. Just click on this video here, you'll be
[11:37] more or less how the viral marketing strategy works. See you there!
