[00:00] as a new content creator that'll keep you from making and effort that you're putting into your videos, some of the mistakes that we're gonna be talking

[00:13] there's a lot of really amazing opportunities but it can be difficult making a lot of videos consistently Let me explain why.

[00:28] I help content creators thrive on YouTube, I came onto YouTube and I started watching videos from people

[00:40] that helped me better understand the right things to do. to get my first 150 subscribers on my YouTube channel. with somebody who knew what they were doing

[00:54] and it allowed me to get a little bit more what was important on YouTube, if I decided to take this seriously.

[01:08] I had to figure out how to balance YouTube in and do all of those things. I got so into YouTube and so into the creation process

[01:23] to where I started losing customers on the other side in my actual job, because I was so focused on YouTube and making videos.

[01:37] I ended up committing myself to a schedule because it didn't balance well with my regular lifestyle. It sucked.

[01:51] that I was growing around that channel. I was expressing myself creatively. but because I didn't manage my time properly, I blew it.

[02:08] However, that burnout caused me to reassess and try to figure out a way to move forward and I knew this was something that I wanted to do.

[02:22] but that particular channel, I just, I couldn't keep it up. I just couldn't do it anymore. because the audience that I was growing there,

[02:35] when it comes to just working on that project in general. I just realized that with that type of channel, that I wouldn't be able to move forward

[02:50] And then I came back to this channel here. Well, the reason I'm telling you this that you are getting started with,

[03:04] It's important to make sure that you are aggressively learning and all of that but it's also important to make sure

[03:17] so that you don't burn out. with someone that explained the opportunity to me But if you don't have somebody like that in your life,

[03:32] and you don't have anybody else And you might miss out on the amazing opportunity from that experience was that if I could take this seriously

[03:47] that I could do YouTube instead of doing the work However, I had no idea what was in store for me that I was starting to walk at that time.

[04:02] you don't know what's on the other side of hitting It's bigger and more impactful It's bigger and more impactful than the amount of views

[04:16] It has its place. because that's where everything comes from. and by regular creators, I don't mean super stars

[04:30] that are getting five to 10,000 views per video, People like that are making a lot of money on YouTube,

[04:43] the right approach to what it is that they're doing, And if you are strategic, you're intentional. that you can compete here on YouTube,

[04:57] to get millions and millions and millions of views. Last year in 2023, influencer marketing was expected

[05:10] to be a $16.4 billion industry. In 2024, it's expected to be an $18 billion industry. That's a $1.5 billion dollar jump in a year,

[05:23] It doesn't include affiliate sales, It doesn't include crowdfunding, none of that. And that's just the money side of being a creator,

[05:36] and take advantage of the other opportunities around your lifestyle and other things. I've gotten the opportunity two times to fly to Armenia

[05:51] It was an experience I'm never going to forget Everything about it was just absolutely amazing.

[06:03] In some cases, they get VIP access Like a lot of the tech channels, for example, some of them, and things like that, some of them are treated very well

[06:17] to highlight their products, Being a content creator can open up a lot of doors that would've been pretty difficult

[06:30] But the biggest thing is that we get the opportunity and potentially make an impact on the people And look, I know that sounds like woo woo

[06:45] The video that you are working on right now might be a video And through something that you say in that video,

[06:57] something that you say in that video might unlock something and they end up starting their journey after watching your video that ends up helping them

[07:12] This has happened with creators here in the Nimminati. depending on the type of content that you make, that then they can apply to what it is that they're doing,

[07:26] of their lives and the people around them escape a really rough day because they run across your video that it helped them forget

[07:42] The point I'm trying to share with you is that what it is that you are doing, it matters. And you have the opportunity to really make an impact

[07:56] even if it's hard to see right now and even if you think of other people. that this YouTube and content thing, it's real.

[08:10] And just like it is There's gonna be a lot of things The likelihood of you publishing a nice amount of videos

[08:22] that's normal and it's probably going to happen. and you're willing to work on yourself to do this, you can do it.

[08:35] even if right now you're thinking to yourself, I don't know, Nick, this sounds pretty good, but I don't know about me. Even you, this can be a reality for you,

[08:48] The first thing you have to do is you have to change the way A lot of people that are just getting started to their channel instead of acknowledging

[09:02] that it probably has something to do with the content with the thumbnail and the title. especially if you're putting tons of work into your content,

[09:15] that you can do at this moment in time. that YouTube systems does not have an opinion It doesn't make judgements on your content standalone.

[09:27] meaning that when YouTube shows your content to people, it's reacting to how the viewers on YouTube So the system doesn't have opinions, it has data,

[09:41] and it relies on that data to gauge is this a good video? Are they having a satisfactory experience from this? then more people are gonna get presented that video

[09:55] And if the answer is no, then in that particular case, I don't want to paint the wrong picture here. even if it's not competitive within YouTube's system.

[10:10] to prioritize the content that is competitive So there's gonna be some things that you might be feeling videos aren't doing well because I have a new channel.

[10:24] Rule that out, because when you start rolling out things like that that don't really matter, then it forces you as the creator of the content.

[10:36] then it's gotta be me, which means that I need And I know that's an easy concept, how do I make videos that people enjoy?

[10:49] That part is what you learn as part of your process that when they first publish their very first video, before anything even starts moving

[11:03] And there's nothing wrong with that, I mean, let me remind you, when we first started this video, to get my first 150 subscribers

[11:16] It was part of the process that made everything else Another thing to be mindful of is the new content creators, that are targeted specifically at you, that are going

[11:29] They're gonna promise you that they'll grow your views, All you gotta do is give these services some money, then you'll get a bunch of views and subscribers.

[11:42] There are not shortcuts on YouTube. because they know that new content creators

[11:54] There are best practices, there are strategies, we have to do the work if we are wanting Another thing to know as a new content creator

[12:09] how to get people to respond to your content You should also know that there's a lot of really bad to grow a YouTube channel all over the internet.

[12:23] to recognize because you don't have that experience. that when you hear something, even if it comes from me, and that you go and you try to find anything official

[12:39] that are from YouTube and Google Another thing that's really important for your success where you are at in the process of being a content creator.

[12:56] You know, when you're first learning to drive, You have to, you know, sit in the car. You've gotta learn what the letters mean on the gear shift.

[13:12] You gotta start learning your way around town. you don't just pick up an instrument and shred. deciding what music you're going to play,

[13:25] you have to start working on your fingers and you have to learn how to transition You have to learn wherever I'm gonna go from this chord

[13:38] And you have to learn all of these details about it. and hours and hours and hours and years and years So when it comes to YouTube, it's a similar thing

[13:54] and they can figure it out relatively quick, Other people, they can pick it up, they can only play to learn the instrument,

[14:06] YouTube is the same exact way. it's really easy to get discouraged, oh my gosh, you know, this sucks.

[14:19] where you're at in the process and it's like, hey, then that just means that I'm still like trying to learn. to actively continue to learn

[14:33] to deliver better content to the people on moving through that learning curve, and as your understanding gets more in tune,

[14:49] And again, if you're wanting to be a hobby creator that you can do. You just have to embrace the fact

[15:01] through that learning curve in order to make it happen. and who have been able to reap the amazing benefits because we know what's on the other side

[15:15] I have a video about the 10 skills and I'll see you over in that video. I'll see you over there.
