From 0 to 2 Million Gold in Midnight

[00:02] going from absolutely zero gold all the way up to 2 million gold. We're going to attempt this challenge in the new expansion Midnight and we're starting from absolutely zero on a level 80 druid. We only have the standard

[00:15] backpack filled with absolutely zero copper. Our equipment is deleted, so we're looking at zero item level and we're going to start absolutely fresh in Midnight and see how hard it will be to reach 2 million gold. I should also say

[00:31] that we're doing it only on this character. So, we're not using any other characters from our account or anything else. We're just doing it using this only character. I'm going to try to make gold in a bunch of different ways,

[00:43] everything from mining, herbalism, fishing, cooking, farming BEs, or whatever I can find that makes us gold in Midnight. So, we're going to begin to make our way to the new Silvermoon City so we can do some world quests because

[00:57] with zero item level, we ain't going to combat that far. And also, we can't even train gathering professions with zero copper, so we need some raw gold as well that we hopefully can get from the world quests. It might be quite rough to do

[01:10] so I do think that we really need to search for those ones that just like are very simple to do without having to kill too much with zero item level. So, we just can get something started here. This one in Silvermoon, ride a

[01:23] cataloger's disk, we're definitely going to try. I don't know if we get any gold from it. It doesn't say so, but maybe we get something. So, let's try at least. Okay, so by doing that quest, we were not awarded with any gold, only 30

[01:36] voidlight marl, some reputation, and XP. So, that didn't really give us anything. something else. Okay, so this one we're supposed to capture some hatchlings and that gives us a waste and that waste we can potentially vendor or use, but maybe

[01:51] even vendor so we can train the gathering professions cuz I really want started so we can make some real gold and post it on the auction house to at buy some bags and stuff. That's going to be the plan, but we'll see how much it's

[02:05] worth from the vendor when we get it. But, this is definitely the kind of now with zero item level. There we go. It looks like we can vendor it for 19 gold. We're going to go to the trainers cuz I don't remember how much it costs

[02:19] to learn the gathering professions. I think it's going to cost 100 gold per each, but I'm not fully sure. Yes, as I thought, herbalism is looking at 100 gold here and mining is going to be the same. So, we got to get 200 gold in

[02:33] total before we can do some gathering. Sadly, it's the same with fishing as well, so we are kind of stuck by just doing some world quest for now. Okay, so when I'm looking at the map in every zone, it looks like Blizzard has nerfed

[02:45] the raw gold from quests cuz I can't find a single world quest that gives me take the next approach, which is going to be hunt down some treasures and see from those treasures that we can either vendor or equip. And for this, I'm going

[03:02] it's really handy, I think, when hunting treasures. Okay, here we do have a rare elite that someone else is also killing. So, let's see if we can get something from this one. Okay, we got a nether scale cloak and we also got some gray

[03:17] we're up to a total of like 40 gold if we want to vendor this. Okay, here is a treasure. Let's see what we get from that one. Bubbling plot of paint. Okay, gold to the vendor. I think if you jump into this pond with this one, you get a

[03:32] pet, but we already have that pet, so I'm going to vendor this item. I'm going to vendor the gear as well here just to see. Okay, we're up to 76 gold. So, we're close to 100. We could potentially learn fishing, actually, if we get to

[03:45] 100. That's not the worst idea instead of trying to push to 200 gold and get both gathering professions. Here we go, another treasure. Forest Rider's Lost Quiver. It gave us a quiver that we can sell for 19 gold, not bad. Isn't the new

[03:58] Midnight zones just absolutely beautiful, by the way? Just soaring around here in Eversong is absolutely lovely. The only zone that is not my favorite one is the void zone. Other than that, I really like the new zones.

[04:10] Amani Cache Forgotten One. Okay, we got another gear piece, 16 gold. So, we fishing right now. Here's another treasure where we got another green, actually to go and learn fishing, so we're going to do that. The treasures is

[04:25] farm later on. I know that people farm them to get the high BE green items that people buy off the auction house. They're like 220 ilvl, which is pretty good for being pre-season. If we're able to get to level 90 before the season

[04:40] starts, which should be next week, we are going to do some chest huntings and see if we can be lucky to get one of those 220 ilvl items that we can sell on the auction house cuz I know some of them is quite valuable. Okay, another

[04:52] We got a ring that we can actually vendor for 172 vendor for 172 gold. Okay, that is really nice. Noble Signet Ring. Let's get to Silvermoon and see what our next plan is. Okay, so

[05:05] everything and then we actually end up at 300 gold. So, now we can learn fishing and mining and herbalism, which is not bad. So, we're going to go ahead and do that right now to just have everything sorted. We also going to buy

[05:19] this one so we can track fishing ponds as well. Not bad. We can buy that from the vendor there. Okay, so now we have mining, herbalism, and fishing trained and we have nine gold to our name. But, that's not bad. Now, we can actually

[05:33] start making a little bit of gold. It's of course going to be quite slow in the professions, it's going to scale up the further we get, the more skill we get, knowledge points we get, the more gold in return we're going to get. But now,

[05:46] we at least have a start where we can do something to make some gold. I'm also Silvermoon, so if we want to return, we can easily do that by just using the mining and herbalism, it is really good to start out by going around the world

[06:01] in every zone trying to gather all different kind of herbs cuz the first time you gather a specific herb or mine node, you get a knowledge point. So, for every first time gather, you get a knowledge point and we want so many

[06:15] knowledge points we can ASAP to increase our yield when gathering. Right now in particularly good either way cuz we don't have any profession equipment we quite handy. It's going to increase our gold quite a lot, but we're working our

[06:29] way there and starting by flying around looking for first time crafts and also we can look for the fish ponds as well. I don't know how well fishing ponds is doing when you have one fishing skill. I doubt it's any good, so probably in a

[06:41] bit I'm going to stand somewhere and just skill up fishing for a bit and see how that performs. But we can start right away here cuz here, apparently, there are three or a lot of ponds, actually. Careless Cargo. The cargos is

[06:53] usually good or wreckages or whatever they are called. They are usually good to gather. A little quick tip as well for anyone playing druid. If you have the talent incarnation, you can actually stealth in combat when you use it to get

[07:06] powerful. Okay, so we immediately got a recipe for a lure. Increase the chance to catch a lucky lowas for 30 minutes. Okay. Okay, we got 11 mote of wild magic as well. Not bad. I have not been doing any mining or herbalism or fishing in

[07:22] Midnight yet, so all of this is completely new to me, pretty much at least. So, it's going to be fun to learn along the way and also see how good or Eversong trout. So, we're making a little bit of gold by fishing the ponds

[07:35] as well. It's at least giving us the fishes and not the trash that you usually get when you don't have any fishing skill. Okay, it actually seems ponds or what is going on? Like everywhere I go, there is just more

[07:48] ponds and ponds to fish. It's not good when we get aggro now when we have zero item level. I'm not even going to bother trying to kill the mobs, so we better just keep moving. We try this pond instead. Is that hatchlings going to get

[08:00] us again? No. Okay, a hollow grouper. A lot of the fishing and stuff seems to be worth a very little gold for each fish. That's at least something to know, but there has to be some kind of valuable fish or at least some kind of way to

[08:14] make this more valuable. Okay, so here is officially our first mining node as well. Let's get that one. There we go, two refulgent copper ore. Absolutely amazing. This we can sell on the auction house. So, now we can actually start

[08:28] making some gold, which I am really happy about. I'm going to make a little bit of a journey here in Eversong just going for mines and herbs. We're going that up when we have a little bit more

[08:40] focusing a little bit more on mining and herbalism just so we can get some initial capital and also, uh, yeah, some new bags and stuff so we feel more useful. There is a lot of ponds everywhere. I guess ponds is Okay, when

[08:53] I see wreckages, I cannot skip them cuz you can probably get some nice stuff from them. Like you're usually able to. Seems like someone else here want to get the pond. Ooh, that was a really good one. Seven of this item. Don't know what

[09:05] this item is. Glimmerline to create a stranded glimmerline. Okay. Cuz they are 25 gold each and we got seven of them. And another lure. Okay, let's learn do. Let's check in our fishing journal here. Learn how to create a new item,

[09:35] it, but that is something for later. I just realized I forgot to track herbs. Luckily, I realized it quite quick. But here is our first herb to gather. Boom, the first herb in Midnight gathered, very nice. Okay, so here seems to be one

[09:49] get in the professions. So, this is something we will have to prioritize as well, going around every zone and getting all the one-time treasures that you can get in both mining and herbalism to get some extra knowledge points. If

[10:58] post it up like so we can get some initial gold cuz it's going to take an hour for us to get the stuff back as well. And this is maybe already like 500 going to be worth it. But let's just see if we can gather some more node, but

[12:06] hopefully we can get ourself like a bag or something. Maybe I should even consider right now actually checking if there are some cheap bag below eight traveler's backpack. I'm actually going to get a traveler's backpack here for

[12:20] five gold. That's going to allow me to not constantly run with full bag space beginning. Let's do that. Now we have two bags instead, a little bit more space. I usually run the combined bag though in the default UI. I like it

[12:35] small little gathering session here now flying around trying to get some more herbs and ores trying to get some skill up and yeah, we will see where I end up. Okay, so all of our auctions sold, I think. We have 1.3k coming in here. Not

[12:51] Let's go to the auction house and see if still don't know in my head where the auction house is in the Silvermoon City. So, it's a little bit interesting. I always run to the wrong place. Okay, so

[13:04] we didn't sell the shredded glimmerline. Otherwise, we would have had a little break, so I didn't do any more farming. Now we're going to check what we can spend our gold on. Maybe we can get some cheap equipment. Okay, so there is no

[13:18] cheap equipment. So, that's out of the case. We cannot get any cheap equipment. So, we will have to do some world questing and get some gear eventually. Yeah, there is really no option to buy any gear whatsoever. So, let's instead

[13:31] look if there is any profession equipment that we can get. So, for equipment that we can get. So, for herbalism, we have this one for 30 gold. going to get that one for 30 gold. That's a no-brainer. Then for the tool,

[13:45] best eye level. It's going to give us perception as well. It's not really what either way for now cuz getting the extra skill from it can be good and for now. We got to replace this stuff pretty quickly, but having something for

[14:01] now, I think is worth it. And for mining, it looks like we're going to get perception one as well. And mining accessories, we can't really afford. So, that's what we got so far. Let's see if there is any bags, preferably a reagent

[14:15] bag maybe if there is any cheap ones. 146 for this one. We'll take. That's a 36 slot one. So, that's a great start. And looking at the normal bags, I think we're going to Okay, the weaver bag is actually pretty cheap here for 150 gold.

[14:30] So, let's get that one as well. So, now we will increase our inventory a lot. So, that's really, really good. Ooh, look at this. Now we have some really nice space. Let's equip this equipment. And also we're going to repost this now.

[14:43] Okay, but now we're looking beautiful. We're looking good. Now we can actually know if the perception is going to give us anything. It gives us a slightly higher chance to gather rare materials, which is pretty much the thorium thing

[14:57] in mining and in herbalism, it's the nocturnal herb. That one actually has quite a good value, but I doubt we will have that much luck getting it. But at least this is a great start. Now we are ready to go and gather a little bit.

[15:10] Maybe we can also find some world quest that we can do to get some gear. So, let's go for a little bit of a farming session and get some stuff started. from that treasure. Okay, beautiful. So, this quest will actually reward me of a

[15:23] ring. Very easy quest. Didn't have to kill a single mob, so that's nice. There we go. Okay, so after slowly killing a lot of those puffer fishes, I got my stuff. So, really nice. Now we're at 31 eye level. Okay, so now I have taken all

[15:37] of the one-time treasure rewards here from the Sulaman zone and I also done it the ones we took here. We also got some knowledge point here. And we actually

[15:49] finally reached above level 25 in both professions. In mining, it's really important to get the one that we can mine while mounted. So, we are definitely going to max this one out the first thing that we do in mining. So,

[16:03] the goal is to get there so that we can actually mine while mounted, basically mining while in travel form. Since we already can herb while mounted in herbalism, we don't really need this one botany for now. So, we're going to start

[16:16] in bountiful harvest and we're going to go absolutely crazy on filling out this first node here because this one is very powerful. Gives you extra yield and stuff. Then we're going to unlock couple different ones here. I think we will do

[16:29] that matters too much, but I'm going to fill out this one later more heavy, but supposed to kill the mobs that sometimes spawn when you're doing some mining here. So, I'm going to try this time. I tried earlier, but then I died. But this

[16:43] I think I can solo these two here. Okay, so you can mine them at least and that definitely one thing you should do. When they spawn, you got to kill them and then mine them. We still haven't gotten all of the first-time gatherers here in

[16:57] these zones, but we're going to prioritize going to every zone for the one-time treasures first and then we're going to come back to every zone and try to get all of the first-time gatherers as well. And also we need to find a zone

[17:09] Sulaman doesn't have any more gear to offer now. And so, this quest requires a lot of killing. I'll see if it's anything we can do now. I think we should skip this for now. It's like too hard and slow to kill the mobs. I think

[17:22] if we can find it first. Yeah, that's going to be too rough, I think. Let's there is something there. I believe it is. Looks like there is some gear that we can get. We should also be able to pick up our weekly profession quests now

[19:02] which is lovely. Then we're going to go up here in the Bloom Bringer tree until we hit this break point. And in mining, we are still lacking a bit of knowledge. We need six more to be able to mine while mounted and that's going to be

[19:17] consumables so far, so that's making it way more rough to do the actual well. There we go. We managed to get ourself a necklace. Nice. We're currently looking at 46 item level and we just level up to level 81 as well.

[19:32] we just level up to level 81 as well. Not bad. And a leather glove as well. And apparently we have looted a BEW ring here that we're going to equip as well. So, now we're looking at 63 eye level. That is looking very, very nice. I think

[19:47] get some more gear. It was a lead quest here, but maybe I will do that later if I could like queue up for a group or something. But for now, this is how it's weekly quest and also put some stuff up

[20:40] so it is now the next day and I actually haven't played anything. I didn't do any check the mailbox right now and see how much gold we have. Then we're going to buy some consumables and then I'm actually going to do like a gathering

[20:53] session of at least 30 minutes so we can make some gold and see basically see how little bit of a setup at least. But let's see how much is in the mailbox. Okay, so we actually have 10,000 gold here now. That was more than I expected.

[21:06] So yeah, it's basically everything from just all that we have gathered. It adds up for sure, but that's good. Only a fish that hasn't sold so that we house for some consumables. I know that we're definitely going to need the

[21:19] Darkmoon Firewater cuz that one is absolutely huge. So let's buy three of that for now. Gives us 15% deftness. Then I know that there are some teas here in the midnight that is good for gathering. So either finesse, deftness,

[21:33] perception. I wonder how much stats this is actually giving us. Okay, I'm going to buy two of the deftness one and I'm going to buy two of the finesse one. The thing is with deftness right now is that it is pretty good for us if we can be

[21:46] able to gather fast enough so we're not getting into interrupted by uh mobs. That is a really common problem. Like that is really hurting our gold per hour time. So if we can gather fast enough so

[21:59] good for us. We have the razorstones but they are so expensive. So we cannot buy them. Like look at the prices for this. They are very expensive to craft. That's not something that we can buy right now. However, I wonder if the war-winning

[22:13] ones actually works here. Primal razorstone. We got to try to buy two of them in case they were to work. Doesn't say anything about about Castle Gore only but I doubt that they are working. Okay, if they are working, I should have

[22:25] bought Iron Claw and I'm realizing now. But yeah, let's try them first. It's actually give more stats than the midnight ones. So they can't be working. We also do have the Harvester of finesse file here. It's really expensive now.

[22:38] I'm not going to buy it for now but this is definitely something that we will use later on. But it's 114 gold. I don't know if we get back that now with or actually, yeah, we should definitely buy one. Never mind, it gives speed as well

[22:51] or deftness I mean. In terms of profession equipment, we can take a quick look cuz we do have some more gold to spend now. So let's check mining. Our blue ones here, the highest item level,

[23:04] should prioritize getting the accessories cuz we don't have them. So getting the 64 finesse one here for mining, we're going to get. Then we're also going to get the Forest Rider hard hat here. Absolutely. So now we are

[23:19] kitting ourselves here. This is really good. Accessories for herbalism, uh the finesse one here. Almost like we could consider buying now we will buy the uh 64 finesse for now for 2,000 and then we can get the blue ones later. I think

[23:34] after we gather for an hour or something, we will be able to get at at least a bit of upgrades to our equipment. Let's just also check the enchants real fast here. Yeah, finesse is 6K. Deftness, it's not worth it.

[23:50] any enchanting right now but that is something for later when we want to min-max as well. But we really didn't have to spend a lot of gold right now to get some consumables and some equipments so that is really good. It says target

[24:03] is too high level when I am trying to use the primal razorstones. So they are not working in midnight. I kind of expected that but and do a little bit of and then we see how much gold I end up with.

[24:20] mine and herb at same time. I of course forgot to apply all of my my buffs. So let's do that first. Okay, there we go. We finished the 30-minute session. We're going to go back to Silvermoon. According to minimum buyout, we have now

[24:34] earned 16.5K. I'm not sure if it's true. We will see now on the auction house. But if it's true, it's actually really good with this minimal setup. We also I didn't learn. So we're going to learn all of them right now and see how many

[24:48] Having the consumables, by the way, was absolutely OP because now we did not struggle with being interrupted by mobs. Like I only had one situation now with a interrupted all the time. So having the consumables is actually really really

[25:04] really important and having the extra deftness as well from the tea and stuff, now in the beginning so we don't get interrupted cuz that is like very good not to be. Let's post everything up here and see how much it's worth. We got five

[25:20] of Dazzling Thorium now as well, which is nice. Okay, so it seems like it was quite accurate cuz we have now about 8K in sales here and about 9K here. So it seems to be 16.7K or something before the auction house cut. So that is very

[25:35] strong. It's more than I expected with this setup so I'm really really happy really helped us as well. So that's really good. Now we have the points here to spend. We're going to go into the top node here, plentiful ores cuz it's not

[25:49] really worth going into rich deposits or seams. I never even see the seams. motes but they are pretty much worthless. Here in herbalism, we're worthless. Here in herbalism, we're going to go to 2020 here. I'm not sure

[26:02] if it's worth pushing for this node now when the Nocturnal Lotus is so expensive compared to everything else. I'm almost thinking of going this node and uh running perception in herbalism to try. So just going full on perception and

[26:17] trying with this node. But I'm not sure yet. We will see cuz the thing is this thing here, your finesse has a chance to yield additional Tranquility Bloom. It's so good and that exists on all of the different herbs here. So that one is

[26:29] also really really strong. But we could go for a like more fun and RNG build going up here and having higher chances of the Nocturnal Lotuses. But I'll think about it so I'll save the six points for now cuz they are not going to do a huge

[26:42] will take a break again and we'll wait for everything to sold and we'll see what's the next step. Okay, so let's do a little bit of a mailbox opening of what we farmed earlier. We're looking at 15K in the mailbox here, which is

[26:55] totally amazing. I'm so happy with this. We are going to collect this now and I'm probably going to do a little bit of a farming session over on stream now. So we will see where I end up after that. But I hope to be able to get an hour or

[27:07] something in of dual gathering so we can make some gold. We're going to see if we decide to invest something but I think we will wait a little bit before we go into investing into our profession equipment or maybe even gear. I'm not

[27:19] sure. We will see if there is any quest today that we can pick up for some extra item level. We're back here in Silvermoon and I actually did 30-minute session on stream and I was thinking that we should open the mailbox now and

[27:33] see how much gold we have. Looking at the mailbox, we have a 21K. I think I might have done like 40 minutes and not 30 so that's why we see 21. It's not like I made 40K an hour yet. That's going to come soon but not yet. Yeah,

[27:45] looking at everything, it's just ore and herbs so far. Some stuff here hasn't mailbox. I think we're going to reach 40K. That's really sweet actually. So we 40K. That's really sweet actually. So we reached 42K so far. That is not bad at

[28:01] all. I'm really happy with the results with this. We still have the 63 item work on and also getting the better equipment is something that we really specialization now in herbalism is looking like this. I actually went 40

[28:16] hit or miss. I don't really know because this gives us according to this a higher chance to find Nocturnal Lotuses when herbing Tranquility Bloom. So I will try this build and see how it turns out. Maybe I did a mistake, maybe I didn't. I

[28:29] actually have no idea. In terms of mining, we only have 10 points here and of course we have the meticulous mining. I think our strategy here is to just fill out this node and then take it from there. But I haven't really yet decided

[28:42] right there. In terms of fishing, haven't done too much yet but I think I will try some more fishing to see if that is something to have. But I'm quite happy with the results and we're going to end the first episode right here. I
