8:23[00:00] Prepping. Some of the recipes I will be using lentils which are
[00:05] very naturally high in protein. So if you're looking for some high protein
[00:10] meal ideas then you are in the right place.
[00:22] So I'm starting off with a juice. I try to juice at least
[00:27] once per week
[00:33] and this is just helpful for me because my schedule I don't have time to
[00:39] juice every single day or sometimes even multiple times per day but if
[00:45] I juice at least once per week it helps me to feel like I you
[00:49] know I've accomplished something that I'm doing good with my body so this is a
[00:54] pineapple juice it's that pineapple kale is
[01:00] that pineapple, kale, cilantro,
[01:06] parsley. I also threw in some lemon and ginger
[01:12] as well. Now this is very detoxifying especially with the parsley and
[01:17] cilantro in here which
[01:23] honestly I felt like I needed because I have been
[01:29] slacking. lately and
[01:35] I really just want to get back on track.
[02:29] I like to make my wraps. I'm making some wraps. I like to make my
[02:35] wraps ahead of time because they can last for a few weeks actually. So
[02:41] I like to batch my wraps. You guys have seen me make my wraps before
[02:46] but today I'm trying a different wrap. This is with carrots. So
[02:52] it's very similar to the other wraps that I have except I am using carrots.
[03:01] I love how i love
[03:06] having wraps available because it's such an easy kind of meal prep really
[03:12] all you need is just add in your favorite veggies in there and you've got
[03:16] a simple meal it breaks up the monotony if you're someone like me that eats
[03:21] a lot of salads wraps are another great alternative to get a lot of good
[03:27] healthy greens a lot of good healthy vegetables into your diet and there's so
[03:33] many different ways into your diet and there's so many different ways that you can
[03:39] make it which I will show you here in this video. So I'm just adding
[03:42] in some onions to my carrots and I use about three cups
[03:48] of the grated carrots. I added in some turmeric as well as
[03:54] some curry powder.
[04:18] now the thing with the wraps or the trick is you really want to make
[04:22] sure you get the batter as smooth as possible because this would just
[04:28] help everything to dry evenly in your dehydrator
[04:38] The other thing that I love about these is that I make them at night
[04:43] and I just let them dehydrate overnight. So usually
[04:49] depending on what time I start this process in the evening, in the morning
[04:55] they're dry and they're good to go.
[05:14] I didn't show this on here but I did add a few more trays of
[05:19] my onion wraps which I have shown in previous videos because again I like to
[05:24] batch them. Now here I've got some red lentils that I also let soak
[05:30] overnight just to sprout them until
[05:35] just to sprout them until they absorb all of the water now
[05:41] this is something new that i'm trying i've been wanting to try this for a
[05:45] while so i'm making some lentil waffles now i didn't add
[05:51] any spices or seasonings to the batter this is such a simple batter
[05:57] just adding in those soaked sprouted lent red lentils
[06:03] with some baking powder and water
[06:11] that's it and I wanted it to be bland on purpose because I wanted to
[06:16] see how they would taste in a variety of ways so you can make these
[06:20] sweet you can make these savory
[06:26] and there's so much that you can do with them like you can use it
[06:30] as avocado toast you can use it like as in place of bread for sandwiches
[06:36] or even breakfast sandwiches in the
[06:42] morning. So I wanted to have just like a blank slate but if you try
[06:46] this you know you can definitely add cinnamon in there if you want however you
[06:50] want to season them.
[06:58] Now depending on the size of your waffle iron is how much you will get.
[07:04] I use I use about three
[07:10] cups of the red lentils and I
[07:15] got about 15 of these little mini waffles and again for
[07:21] you it might vary depending upon the size of your waffle iron.
[07:28] And I like to save some of them in the refrigerator and then freeze the
[07:34] rest. Again this is another another quick and
[07:40] easy very high in protein breakfast option that can
[07:45] last for a while now this particular morning i
[07:51] had this with some yogurt this is the coco june yogurt which is one of
[07:57] my favorites i always get the plain and then i just kind of add my
[08:02] own desired toppings to it and if you look at like it looks like whipped
[08:05] cream it looks so
[08:07] these
[08:23] turned out so delicious they are very filling because they are lentil
[08:29] based so hopefully you give these a try here again with some sprouted
[08:35] lentils some sprouted lentils these are the green
[08:40] sprouted lentils you guys have seen me use the green sprouted lentils or brown
[08:46] sprouted lentils before my channel i've added them to salads i've added them to wraps
[08:52] i've made the falafels with the sprouted lentils these are so good
[08:58] and i am making some burgers with these sprouted lentils
[09:08] now i did add some seasonings to this another beautiful thing about this you
[09:14] can add whatever spices or seasonings that you like and here i am adding in
[09:19] some phacillium husk this just helps to bind it together i had some grated
[09:24] carrots left from the wrap so i just threw that in there as well
[09:29] as well as some mushrooms if you guys have been following me you know how
[09:34] much i love mushrooms add some mushrooms if you guys have been following me you
[09:37] know how much i love mushrooms so i always got to add in some mushrooms
[09:41] as well as the typicals onions and garlic i also added
[09:47] in some fresh herbs to the burgers so just added in some more of that
[09:52] cilantro and parsley so i'm really making use of the groceries
[09:58] that i purchased and as you can see here there's multiple different ways that you
[10:03] can use them and it just gives you more bang for your different ways that
[10:06] you can use them and it just gives you more bang for your buck so
[10:12] we
[10:26] got a nice batter here and i'm just going to mold these into patties you
[10:32] can also make meatballs out of this but i am making some patties meatballs out
[10:37] of this but I am making some patties here you can make them whatever size
[10:43] that you like and this is another great meal prep option because I
[10:49] ended up putting half of them in my dehydrator and then I freeze
[10:55] the other
[11:02] you can also cook these as well so even if you don't have a dehydrator
[11:08] you can also cook them I put them in my dehydrator
[11:13] but you can definitely cook them on top of the stove or in the oven
[11:19] as well now I made my burger patties a little
[11:25] bit bigger because in the dehydrator it's going to shrink in size anyway bigger because
[11:30] in the dehydrator it's going to shrink in size anyway as you guys can see
[11:34] here but it still got nice delicious and brown these are how my
[11:40] carrot wraps turned out these were really good so here i just decided to make
[11:45] a wrap with the lentil burgers again there's so many different ways that you can
[11:51] use these you can also put the lentil patties just on flame lettuce or you
[11:56] can add to chop them up and add them to your salads but i love
[12:00] these because it gives me so many
[12:06] options on different meals that i can prepare and it just works
[12:12] as a great base now these turned out
[12:17] so so delicious i love how the burgers turned out especially with the carrot
[12:23] wraps so i was really excited about that i hope that you guys enjoyed this
[12:28] video and i will see you on the next this video and I
[12:33] will see you on the next one of course later
