[03:39]
Housing Levels Up to 12

Level 10 increases interior and room placement budgets and unlocks 'treasures from distant lands' (weekly quest for decor). Level 11 further increases budgets. Level 12 increases interior decor budget to 5,975 and room placement to 134, and unlocks large house exteriors.

[04:47]
Basements and New Exteriors

Entryway can be moved to any floor, creating a basement. Two new housing exteriors are confirmed for all players (details encrypted).

[05:24]
Storage and Dye System Overhaul

Storage chest cap increased to 10,000 (from 7,500). Dye crafting streamlined: dyes condensed into single colors (black, blue, brown, green, orange, purple, red, white, yellow), with 15 new dye colors added.

[06:05]
Companion Pets in Housing

Pet beds (new decor) allow companion pets to roam or stay stationary. 11 pet bed designs available from vendors. Limit: 10 pets inside, 5 outside. Some pets unavailable.

[07:28]
New Decor and Artisan Rooms

New decor from neighborhoods (stairs, wall tiles, columns), professions, delves, dungeons, and raid. Artisan rooms are pre-built rooms purchasable with 450 community coupons each, account-wide unlocks, available for both factions.

[09:06]
New Endeavors and Cursed Keepsake

Four new endeavors: Amani Trolls, Kobold, Onarran Centaur, Tortollan. Cursed Keepsake is a weekly scenario in the neighborhood with waves of enemies, rewarding decor.

[10:14]
UI Updates

Two new decor categories: vines/hanging plants and pet beds. Removed extra pop-up when deleting an empty room.

[00:01] video. Today, we're going to talk about housing, and more specifically, we're going to talk about housing in patch 12.1, The Curse of Ulatek, and all of the updates that are coming to housing. And there's actually quite a lot of

[00:14] stuff here. Some much-requested features, new housing levels, pets, new endeavors, UI updates, and more. But before we jump into that, guys, I do want to let you know that I am streaming on twitch.tv/mister gm. If you want to

[00:26] sort of wow, you're welcome on twitch.tv/mister gm. All right, so yes, the first major content patch of midnight is coming around early August, housing. And as said, we're finally getting so many requested features. So,

[00:42] feature, which of course is import and export. And this is called blueprints in World of Warcraft. So, blueprints can be shared across region. This excludes import as well. So, if you have a friend in the NA region, and they've got a cool

[00:58] house, and you want to import it into EU, that will absolutely work, which is fantastic. Now, you can import or export your entire house, which includes the inside and the outside, or just the interior, or just the exterior. However,

[01:11] this is restricted to specific neighborhoods. So, an Alliance exterior can't be imported into a Horde exterior, and vice versa. Or you can import or export a single room in your house, which is really cool. Now, players can

[01:24] have up to 50 save slots for their different layouts, as well as 10 these can actually be viewed while in your house or anywhere from the housing dashboard. It's a new tab on there. Now,

[01:36] auto saves are automatically created when importing a blueprint. So, you can easily revert it if it does mess up, or you don't have enough decor, or you just there's sort of an undo feature of sorts. Now, blueprint codes can actually

[01:50] be linked in the chat and inspected. Now, it's not quite the inspection you would imagine. It's just a list of all of the decor and the amounts needed to import this house. Now, if there is something a little bit dodgy, they can

[02:02] also be reported. Now, one thing they've also added is a reset button. So, that will actually reset your whole house or just the interior or exterior if you do obviously remember to save your previous house beforehand before doing this.

[02:16] So, let's talk about importing. So, when importing, it shows you a list of required rooms and the decor and the amount of budget needed. Now, it will also tell you what is missing and it will just leave gaps on the build if you

[02:29] So, yeah, keep that in mind and make sure you have the right amount of decor and the right decor. And importing will also try and do the right thing for dyed items, like using correctly dyed items or potentially dyeing items, but not

[02:42] replacing any of your already dyed items. Now, when exporting, this will give you a blueprint code. Now, you can share this in the chat or you can just long as some of the edit mode things. It's just a generated code by the game.

[02:57] it will add it to your list of saved blueprints. The final part of this is that there is a new house permission called export that actually defaults to Essentially, what it is is when other players visit your house, if you allow

[03:12] them to, they can actually just export your entire house and import it into their own save slots. But as mentioned, this is off by default, but some people might actually just want to allow people to do that if they want to. So, yeah,

[03:24] Seems pretty good. I did test it quite a lot on the PTR and it's really cool to see it coming in. I bet people are absolutely dying for this feature amazing houses and finally they can save it, start again, and build even more.

[03:39] So, yeah, really cool to see that finally coming in for housing. Moving Housing levels will now go up to level 12. So, at level 10, this will increase your interior budget and your room placement budget. And you will also

[03:53] unlock treasures from distant lands. So, it says, "Visit the last architect in your neighborhood once a week to obtain an Arcana storage sphere containing a selection of the last architect's collection." This is just an instant

[04:06] quest which gives you a new piece of decor every week. So, yeah, pretty easy. At level 11, this will also increase the interior decor budget, and it will also increase your room placement budget. And then, at level 12, you'll increase your

[04:18] interior decor budget for the final time to a grand total of 5,975, and your room placement budget will increase to 134. Level 12 also unlocks large house exteriors for the Alliance houses and

[04:32] Breezy here for the footage here. You can check out his full video going over these houses in the description below. Uh which is a good segue to move into kind of housing updates. So, firstly, we can finally have basements. Yes, so, as

[04:47] of 12.1, you can actually move the entryway to anywhere in the house. That includes other floors. So, if you do put it on the second floor or the third floor, this will create a basement by default. So, yeah, you can actually

[04:59] create a proper basement as of 12.1. Now, there is actually two new housing exteriors. Now, these were originally data mined as shop items, but they were actually confirmed by Blizzard to be available to all players. So, we're

[05:11] 12.1. We don't know what these look like as they are currently encrypted. There's also some updates coming to the house storage chest uh with the cap being storage chest uh with the cap being increased to 10,000 up from 7,500.

[05:24] doing a bit of a system overhaul to the dye system. So, dye crafting has been streamlined, uh and has considerably freed up bag space uh taken up by dyes, which is fantastic. Now, dye items have now been condensed into single colors.

[05:39] So, you have black, blue, brown, green, orange, purple, red, white, yellow. So, for example, the red housing dye now include all of the red dyes. So, if you access to all of the different red colors when dying different decor items,

[05:52] which is fantastic. And there's also been 15 new dye colors added on top of that, which is cool to see. Moving on into possibly my favorite feature, and that is pets. Yes, we can finally have companion pets roaming around our houses

[06:05] in 12.1. So, these actually come from pet beds. This is a new type of decor. Now, these can be purchased from Perrywinkle's in Founder's Point or Agrafa in Razorwind Shores. As of the recording of this, there are 11

[06:19] different designs of pet beds. These include nests, lily pads, cages, and of the decor from the charity pet will also function as a pet bed. And the current limitations is that you can have 10 pets inside and five outside. And the

[06:35] down one of these pet beds, you can select a pet from your list of companion pets, and you can set it to either stationary or roaming. So, roaming will collision with your decor and things like that. And stationary will sit on

[06:49] top of the pet bed that you've spawned. Now, outside, unfortunately, you can run around your garden as of the recording of this. There is also a small unavailable to be placed in your house, but it's not too many, and it doesn't

[07:03] really include too many iconic ones, luckily. We also have some new decor in which can be purchased in the neighborhood. These include stairs, wall tiles, wooden columns, so a lot of construction things. There's also going

[07:16] to be some new decor from professions. The brand new zone in 12.1 delves are going to get some new decor. The season 2 dungeons will also include some brand new decor. And of course, the new raid will also have some decor items which

[07:28] can be obtainable. There's a ton of new decor in 12.1, and we're not going to go through all of it here cuz we'll be here all week. But yeah, just know there's loads. Another very cool feature coming to housing is artisan rooms. So, these

[07:41] are pre-built housing rooms which you can place decor in. Now, these are purchased for community coupons, 450 community coupons each. Now, there is Alliance rooms and there is Horde rooms, but you can place them in any of the

[07:53] type of houses you like, which is cool. These are account-wide unlocks and you and they are unlocked across your account and you can use them as many times as you like, which is fantastic. So, in Founders Point, you can purchase

[08:06] the Belameth Meeting Room, the Belameth Nestled Bedroom, the Belameth Temple Room, the Belameth Theater, the Stormwind Armory, the Stormwind Display Stormwind Armory, the Stormwind Display Room, the Stormwind Grand Hall, which,

[08:21] yeah, amazing, the Stormwind Kitchen, the Springtime Westfall Barn, and the unfortunately is encrypted at the moment, so we can't see it. And over on some Horde-themed rooms, like the Orgrimmar Council Room, the Orgrimmar

[08:36] Display Room, the Orgrimmar Stone Pit Room, the Orgrimmar Theater, the Silvermoon Armory, the Silvermoon Display Room, and the Silvermoon Small Display Room, and the Silvermoon Small Study, and the Silvermoon Lofty Study.

[08:51] rooms here, which, as said, you can place as much decor and customize as have sort of a base design to it, which is a lot better than just sort of your plain room. So, can't wait to see what people create with these new Artisan

[09:06] Rooms. Moving on, we have some brand new endeavors being added into 12.1. We actually have four brand new endeavors. These include the Amani Trolls, which will very likely be the endeavor that everyone does on 12.1. So, when 12.1

[09:18] going to be default to that. So, yeah, Amani Trolls. We also have a Kobold endeavor, one for the Onarran Centaur, and one for the Tortollan. So, of brand new decor items for each of these endeavors, which you can collect, and of

[09:33] things of that nature. But, as of right only one that's been tested publicly. We also have this very strange thing that patch notes or anything like that, and this is the cursed keepsake. So, this is

[09:46] a very short weekly scenario that you can enter through your neighborhood. the cursed keepsake, and you have to defeat waves of enemies to cleanse it. keepsake, you can actually just receive a brand new decor piece from a quest,

[10:02] and this can actually be purchased from the keepsake once unlocked. So, just seems like a bit of a harmless weekly activity to unlock some new decor in interesting. Finally, let's talk about a couple of UI updates. So, there are two

[10:14] new categories which have been added for decor. You have vines and hanging plants, and of course, you have pet beds. The other UI update is that they've removed an extra pop-up when deleting a room which has no decor in

[10:27] quite a bit. So, yeah, there you go. That is 12.1's housing updates. Some pretty great things here. As mentioned, some very highly requested features. I can't wait to see what people do with the artisan rooms, and with the import

[10:41] phenomenal. So, guys, thank you very much for watching. Let me know in the comments what your thoughts are on housing updates in 12.1. Don't forget to like it, guys, and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. If you

[10:53] want to support me outside of YouTube, I'm also on Patreon, and I'm on Twitter Discord channel as well. And as mentioned, I am streaming on twitch.tv/mistergm. If you want to check me out testing the

[11:05] finding out everything that we need to know about that patch, you can check me out at twitch.tv/mistergm. And with that, guys, And with that, guys, I'll see you next time.
