How I ACTUALLY Make $5,742 Watching YouTube (1 Video a Day)

[00:36] So, [music] from the beginning. First of all, what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to use a laptop. That's just makes it as is easiest, right? Yes, you can use a phone. But, it will not be as easy. See,

[00:50] easy as possible. So, I use a laptop. But, yes, you can use a phone. You can use your phone and do reaction videos. But, what I do [music] is I get on my laptop and I hop on OBS, right? So, if I show you guys

[01:05] my screen real quick, I'm going to show you how I set up my >> [music] >> All right, so what I do is I hop on OBS. As y'all can see, it's kind of like, you

[01:18] >> [music] >> So, I have two scenes. actually seeing on my laptop screen. And the other is myself. I have a full screen that I also use to record videos. That's literally how I'm recording a

[01:33] video right now using OBS. So, I go on OBS. I set up my microphone. and start reacting to videos. I have a little stream deck right here by Elgato. really sweet and really simple for your boy.

[01:50] said, "Kai, how do you record? You know, like I need to I want the breakdown on want a more in-depth OBS tutorial, you can find that on YouTube, man. I

[02:03] up. Just being real. But, I do use OBS. So, now you might say, "Kai, how do I find videos to react to? How do know, in my last video I was telling you that I got monetized on this channel um

[02:20] relatively quickly. Uh let me just, you know, go back on my channel and put it on the last 365 days. As you see, like I didn't make any money. I made $0 before January 10th. January 10th was my first day making money on this channel.

[02:36] Now, a lot of you guys said, "Hey, Kai, but weren't you posting on this channel before? Like, did you really get all of these views in just this, [music] you know, span of this time?" I did have this channel before, but I was posting

[02:48] YouTube shorts. And that was back in June of 2025. And you know that YouTube shorts is really hard to get monetized with. So, irrelevant. around December 14th. And if I go down to my most recent my my latest Sorry,

[03:03] not my most recent. The oldest video on my channel, My bad, y'all. The oldest video on my channel. And there's a reason that I'm second. But, my oldest video that I have posted, I started posting on this

[03:20] December of 2025. December of 2025. And I got monetized in January. So, yeah, man. It's possible for you to start making money on here

[03:33] really, really quick. Now, Kai, how do I like how do I find which videos find a niche of content that you like watching.

[03:45] You need to find a niche that you like watching. What I recommend is you start reacting to videos that you already watch on a daily basis. So, what I did was I found a niche that I watch every single day

[03:58] and I react to it. And I record myself. I make 30-minute long, 40-minute long videos and I react to the content that I was going to watch regardless. But, now I get paid to do so. And no, it isn't like a crazy life-changing amount of

[04:11] saw, I made like $5,000 in 3 months. That's not bad for a side hustle online You know what I mean? I'm recording videos from from the crib.

[04:24] this is the perfect little side hustle to put some money in your pocket. You you want more step-by-step help where I actually guide you through this process, for now, I want to talk about how you get paid.

[04:42] So, on YouTube, there's a monetization program. And you need a certain amount need 1,000 subscribers and you need [music] 4,000 watch hours. Look at my channel. This is what I did in the last month.

[04:57] Reaction videos are a cheat code because you make long videos and people watch half of the video, right? If I make a 40-minute video and somebody watches 20

[05:09] up over time. So, 400,000 views got me 96,000 watch hours. That means that I could have got monetized what? 20 times with this amount? I don't

[05:22] videos, it's easier to get monetized. Kai, how do I get people to watch my niche that is popular. And react to a niche that you can actually put your

[05:35] sense into. Put some Put some content on top of the content. When I react to videos, I'm, you know, energetic sometimes. Sometimes I'm more chill. don't like to interrupt the content unnecessarily. But, when there's points

[05:50] when I can put my my my opinion in, I make sure to do so, right? All right, what's the niche? What niche do you react to?

[06:02] This is kind of crazy because um nobody really does this. And that's the reason that my channel's doing so well. I react to podcasts. I react to podcasts. Literally, Joe Rogan podcast clips,

[06:15] that I come across, I like to watch those. And I like to long pieces of content. And I'm able to engage with the content because I like

[06:29] that's copyright. You know what I mean? So, I react to podcasts and I get paid. you're like, "You know what, Kai, man? I'm not I'm not reacting to no podcast."

[06:41] That's cool. React to sports. Or react to other YouTube videos. You know, react to something that allows you to record a 30, 40-minute long video once a day, by the way. I only do this once a day. I

[06:53] record one video a day and I post one video a day. If I started recording two videos, I might be able to double my money. I might have made 10,000 instead of five. Who knows?
