The video details a strategy for gaining 15,000 subscribers in a month, emphasizing the importance of appealing to your existing audience before targeting a wider one. The creator shares a four-video approach that leverages consistency, targeted content, and strategic calls to action to create a ripple effect across the channel.
The creator gained 15,000 subscribers and 400,000 views in a month with four videos, starting with a viral idea that appeals to both current and wider audiences.
50,000 subscribers are useless if they don't translate to views on future videos; the focus should be on loyal subscribers who watch new content.
A viral idea must appeal to your current audience first, then a wider audience, and finally bring in subscribers similar to your target audience to avoid harming future video performance.
YouTube pushes videos to subscribers first; if they don't click, CTR drops, and the video won't be shown to a wider audience, regardless of content quality.
A video about MrBeast's earnings would appeal to a wide audience but might attract casual viewers, not aspiring YouTubers, hurting future video CTR.
The creator's first video on DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro appealed to his target audience and brought in 5,000 subscribers, demonstrating the strategy's effectiveness.
Uploading consistently in schedule and content type encourages binge-watching, leading to returning viewers and higher initial CTR.
Posting related videos after a viral one boosts views across the channel, as new subscribers watch older content, creating a ripple effect.
Editing style should match the target audience's attention span; CTAs should be placed at the end of videos, not the intro, to encourage watching more content.
CPM was $10-11, RPM was $3.50, and 400,000 views translated to about $1,400 in ad revenue, plus affiliate income and sponsorships.
The key to gaining loyal subscribers is to create content that appeals to your existing audience first, then a wider audience, and to maintain consistency to encourage binge-watching. This strategy, combined with proper execution, can lead to significant channel growth.
What is the first step in the strategy to gain loyal subscribers?
Brainstorm a viral video idea that appeals to your current audience first, then a wider audience, and finally brings in subscribers similar to your target audience.

07:14[00:02] 15 000 Subs last month with four videos totaling up over 400 000 views here's channel it all starts with your video ideas and I know you might not think that's helpful because you've heard it a million times but I've got a strategy
[00:15] that dies beyond the surface of just coming up with viral ideas because yes single video hell even the first video like I did with my channel but gaining 15 000 loyal Subs goes Way Beyond just posting one good video especially
[00:28] because 50 000 Subs are useless if they don't also translate to views on your future video first you're gonna have to brainstorm an absolute Banger viral idea though and if you don't know how to do that don't worry because I've got you
[00:40] covered with my video on getting viral video ideas which if I was you I would this one eventually though you'll have a list of viral ideas to pick from which from but you're not just gonna pick the best one no no no no no if you just pick
[00:55] the most inherently viral idea it's unlikely that it'll blow up like we want it to if it doesn't also appeal to your current audience of subscribers now even if it does get a million views and brings in a ton of new Subs those subs
[01:07] the performance of your future videos if you aren't very particular about the concept of the video let me explain a video that has a wide Appeal on YouTube doesn't necessarily also appeal to your current audience of Subs which we've
[01:20] if I started uploading Nerf gun unboxing well because YouTube first starts by pushing your video out to your subs as a test after you publish and if it does well then start showing it to a wider
[01:33] audience so if my current subscriber base of aspiring and current YouTubers get shown a Nerf gun unboxing video the majority of them probably won't click on it CTR will tank and YouTube won't push my video to a wider audience because
[01:45] they think it's bad and that's even if the actual content of the video is good like with good editing a high quality voiceover and so on just because if the stuff really doesn't matter with that now out of the way you must Now
[01:58] understand that a video with wide appeal can also appeal to your existing audience which is where viral videos come out of however even if a video like actually hurt you and the performance of your future content let me give you an
[02:11] example on my channel I make YouTube education content so a video called something like how much Mr Beast makes off of YouTube would probably appeal to current YouTubers additionally because lots of people are curious about the
[02:24] money YouTubers make and also like Mr Beast it would probably have a very very wide appeal to a bigger audience on YouTube meaning with proper execution over and and so on a video like this could easily pull in millions of views
[02:39] and Subs as a result however there's also a high likelihood that most of the subs I would be bringing in from that video would in fact not be aspiring and audience and instead they'd just be curious casual YouTube viewers that also
[02:53] happen to like Mr Beast this is bad because imagine then I published a video getting sponsored on YouTube were spray with an audience of YouTubers who care about getting brand deals and not really anybody else so when all my
[03:06] new subscribers that only subbed for Mr B's to get that video in the recommended video is going to have a low CTR and YouTube's not gonna push out meaning the subs we got from that one viral video actually were harmful to us so with that
[03:19] in mind this first viral concept that you come up with needs to appeal to First your current audience second a wider audience and finally also be targeted towards viewers similar to your current audience unlike that Mr Beast
[03:31] does happen to appeal to my current audience but is really not targeted towards it last month when I gained 15 000 Subs the first video I published was my research at the time regarding my Niche and audience videos about DaVinci
[03:46] Resolve Premiere Pro and video editing were all very likely to appeal to a ton of people and were specifically targeted towards my target audience so this was a as you can see it worked this video alone got me about 5 000 subscribers
[04:00] during this period which is a lot but doesn't account for the other 10 000 I that you can't just rely on a single viral video to bring in a ton of loyal Subs lucky for you even though I uploaded 4 videos in June you don't
[04:13] actually need to come up with three more crazy viral ideas to do what I did in fact there's a much easier way that I use to gain a ton of Subs quickly as a it helped that I had been uploading relatively consistently beforehand
[04:26] consistently meaning not only in my upload schedule but also in the type of content I was creating not every video performed well but over a few months I and returning viewers that ended up binging most of my channel and watched
[04:39] all of my new videos because they all targeted the exact same audience of aspiring and current YouTubers like I keep saying second the next three videos that I uploaded in June were posted at almost the exact same day in time except
[04:52] Subs knowing exactly when to come back for more content this led to a high initial CTR when my videos were first pushed to myself herbs and combined with which I'll talk about later in the video the videos would have performed well on
[05:06] their own anyway however with my editing video popping lots of people subscribed and went on to watch my other videos this was done in an especially effective uploaded that month being directly related to the editing video with
[05:19] Concepts about creating thumbnails writing scripts and recording voiceovers making it easy for me to get a lot of returning viewers which in turn boosted the videos posted after the editing one this ripple effect benefited my channel
[05:31] as a whole and I was able to get like I said around 400 000 views in June without having to post four banger viral videos as the videos I had posted before June also got a ton of views as a result of this one video in short just assuming
[05:44] you how they were good later I started by consistently pumping out videos for my target audience to give viewers content to binge once they've seen one video then I uploaded a viral video that appealed first to my audience of Subs
[05:57] second to a wider audience on YouTube and finally also also brought in Subs that exactly fit my target audience and to finish it off I uploaded content consistently after posting the viral video that connects back to it obviously
[06:09] appealing to my target audience which led to a bunch of return viewers and a ripple effect across all of my Channel's videos but it's important to note that even if you use this strategy on your own channel you'll still need to execute
[06:22] it properly for it to work here's how to do that exactly like I did first there's the obvious stuff like having simple clickable thumbnails clean voiceovers got plenty of videos on my Channel about this stuff so feel free to check them
[06:35] out later after this one in regards to the editing of my videos they're very retention which only works because my target audience is generally within the range of 18 to 24 years old which is relatively young younger viewers have a
[06:48] lot shorter attention spans than older adults so if my channel was geared have to tone back the editing to prevent my viewers from being turned off or just over stimulated what makes the video good is really all decided by your
[07:01] know who you're making your videos for ctas are another big thing encompassed in the execution of this strategy CTA stands for call to action which is to go do something I think it's relatively well known nowadays that a
[07:14] CTA in the intro of your video telling your audience to like And subscribe before you've even gotten into anything is really ineffective and is much better you've actually gained your audience's trust however I took this a step further
[07:27] sub in any of the videos that I posted in June or really ever this is because like I mentioned previously subs don't really mean anything if they don't watch other content that you put out granted if a viewer subscribes my future content
[07:40] will almost definitely pop up in their feed when I post but there's an even watch not only my future videos but also my older content as well which similar to what I discussed earlier creates a nice ripple effect across my channel if
[07:53] video of mine I always end them with something like this I'd recommend sponsored on YouTube while I'm not asking the viewer to sub I get a watches a second video of mine which then leads them into another and another
[08:08] watched three or four of my videos there's basically no chance they won't just subscribe on their own with the added bonus of my older content getting boosted when one of my new videos does well wish like I've been saying creates
[08:20] channel in the realm of monetization there's crazy growth in the month of YouTube is calculated by a metric called CPM which stands for cost per Millennia this is just the dollar amount an Advertiser will pay YouTube Every 1 000
[08:35] times a viewer sees their ad in June my CPM was in the range of 10 to 11 but to really care about when it comes to ad Revenue RPM which stands for Revenue per Millennia is the Creator's cut of the CPM meaning it's the money that I earn
[08:49] in June my RPM was around 3.50 meaning 400 000 views in a month translated into I also made some money off affiliate marketing I don't really have a way of knowing for sure but I can safely assume that the roughly 100 and commissions
[09:04] people purchasing my microphone off of my video about recording high quality voiceovers for YouTube because in that video I specifically promoted the affiliate links to buy it in my description well a hundred dollars is a
[09:18] my channel money is money and I definitely won't complain like at a nice steak dinner or something due to the influx of views on my channel in June and even in months before I also picked up a few sponsors for the videos
[09:32] that I published I made a dedicated video with Fiverr and AD read with V Dot IO and I'm working with vid IQ long term so I did an integration with them as well sponsors are by far the most lucrative method I use to monetize my
[09:44] YouTube channel on platform but my money is my business and my editor Mauricio and I are developing a course about YouTube together and there's gonna be a I'll save my information on brand deals for that feel free to follow my Twitter
[09:57] on that but anyway in in addition to this strategy YouTube shorts are a great you go about it the right way and don't kill your channel in the process then you can achieve some crazy results so if you're interested go watch this video on
[10:11] how to get millions of views on your shorts next
