AI Summary

This tutorial explains how to buy meme coins on Ethereum using decentralized tools. It covers three methods: direct wallet swaps, decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and OpenSea, and advanced trading terminals. The video also clarifies why these tokens aren't available on centralized exchanges and discusses fees, gas costs, and risks.

[00:01]
Asteroid 10,000x example

A meme coin called Asteroid reached a $190 million market cap, producing up to 10,000x returns for early investors. The video uses this as a hook to show the potential upside of meme coins.

[00:18]
Focus on Ethereum meme coins

The video targets viewers who know how to buy meme coins on Solana but need the equivalent process on Ethereum, covering wallets and DEXs.

[00:45]
Why not on centralized exchanges

New tokens are not listed on Coinbase or Binance until they gain volume and interest; the only CEX mentioned is MEXC, and most listings are on DEXs.

[01:27]
Exchange listing as a catalyst

Tokens often run hard before a CEX listing, and a Binance listing can further pump the price, creating opportunities for early buyers.

[02:09]
Three ways to buy

The video presents three methods: direct wallet swap, decentralized exchange, and trading terminal.

[02:22]
Prerequisites and token address

You need ETH for gas, money in your wallet, and the token address from CoinMarketCap to start trading.

[02:50]
Wallet swap fees

Rabby charges 0.25% per swap, while MetaMask charges 0.85%, making wallet fees a significant cost for large trades.

[03:32]
DEX method with Uniswap/OpenSea

Connect your wallet to a DEX like Uniswap or use OpenSea, which had zero trading fees for 45 days, to execute swaps.

[05:48]
Trading terminal method

Terminals like Bloom, BaseBot, Looter, and Shuriken allow one-click buy/sell, ideal for fast meme coin movements.

[07:06]
Gas and fees summary

Ethereum gas is currently cheap (a couple of dollars), but wallet fees and slippage still apply; the video warns about the high risk of meme coins.

Buying meme coins on Ethereum is accessible through wallet swaps, DEXs, and trading terminals, but it requires careful attention to fees, gas, and token risks.

[00:01] coin millionaires out of thin air after full sending asteroid to a whopping $190 million market cap. Something like a 10,000 x return if you got in at the get in at the bottom, but you could have still bought this thing at 5, 10, 15, 20

[00:18] million dollar market cap and gotten anywhere from a 10 to a 40 x return on going to show you how to buy meme coins on Ethereum because most people are familiar doing this on Solana. They know all the tools and wallets and everything

[00:32] to use, but they don't know how to do it on ETH. Now, as usual, I'm not a financial advisor. I'm just showing you how all this stuff works, but meme coins are crazy risky. This stuff goes to zero in seconds. So, please do your own

[00:45] research and be a responsible adult with your own money. Now, the most common question I get is why can't I buy this on a centralized exchange, on Coinbase, on Binance, whatever, and that is because it is not listed yet. If we

[00:58] scroll down on CoinMarket Cap to the marketplaces that it's listed, it's all decentralized exchanges. The only centralized exchange I have access to is MEXC, and that's because new tokens or tokens that had no volume aren't going

[01:12] to have listings. It takes a coin to get a ton of volume and interest, which means an exchange can earn fees on it, so they want to list it, or a token pays Now, this means you're going to have to put in some effort to buy it. You can't

[01:27] just open up Binance or whatever exchange you use, click buy, and have the token. However, it does present an opportunity because tokens run really hard even before they get an exchange listing, and then often exchange

[01:42] listings, like a listing on Binance, are a catalyst that sends the token even higher. People get really excited when that happens. So, in order to buy before that pump, you're going to have to understand buying with decentralized

[01:56] tools, meaning a decentralized wallet like MetaMask, Phantom, Rabby, as well decentralized exchange. Now, I have full tutorials for Phantom and MetaMask. Very soon, I'll have Rabby. I'll put those in the description down below. Now, there's

[02:09] three different ways to buy or three different levels. I'll show you all directly in your wallet. So, you're going to need some ETH to process the transaction, as well as money in your wallet in order to buy the token. You're

[02:22] going to need to get the token address, which I'm just going to grab directly on CoinMarketCap. You're going to open up your wallet. You're going to click on Phantom, MetaMask, Rabby, it all operates the same. You are going to

[02:35] paste the token. You're going to select that token, and now I just enter the amount that I want to buy. It's going to give us a quote. If we expand here, we can see the fees. So, this wallet, Rabby, is charging me a 0.25% fee just

[02:50] to do this swap. So, I'm going to show you how it's done. I already have 2.6 million tokens. I'm buying 1.27 million. So, let's just go ahead and click confirm. And voila, my transaction has gone through. Took a few seconds.

[03:04] And if I go back to check my token balances and write asteroid, I can see I have 3.9 million. So, my balance has increased. The swap did indeed go do it. You can do it in your mobile app.

[03:19] you're going to pay higher fees when you're using a wallet, especially MetaMask. Unless they've lowered it, their fee was like 0.85%. So, when you're trading with, you know, 50, 100k, it gets really expensive. Even if you're

[03:32] fees really rack up. So, I'll show you two different other ways you could be trading, which have fees, but some of them are more convenient. So, the second way is going to be to use a decentralized exchange like Uniswap.

[03:46] decentralized, so any token can be listed here, even some scam tokens. So, you need to be careful what you are buying, but you can also use a service like OpenSea, who right now, for the

[03:58] next, I believe it's 45 days that are left, they have zero trading fees on tokens. So, I'm taking advantage of this, and I'm doing my trading on OpenSea, who I also work with. Just full disclosure. But, same thing, you're

[04:11] to connect your wallet. And then, from here, you would just enter the amount give you a quote. We can go down and look at fees, but like we saw right there, zero trading fees. There's just like a swap impact and some slippage.

[04:26] But, for my $499.91, I'm getting I'm losing like a dollar potentially to the swap impact because the price is moving right now. But, let's just go ahead and click buy. It's going to open up my wallet because this

[04:39] is a decentralized exchange. I'm going to agree to the terms. So, I'm giving up to agree to the terms. So, I'm giving up 500 USDC for 1.28 million asteroid. I buy, confirm. Transaction's going to go

[04:51] pending. Now, it's waiting on the blockchain. That's what the lag is. And voila, my trade has gone through. You could see I now hold 5.2 million. I was at 3.9 before. I just bought more. I'm now at 5.2. So, it goes through fast.

[05:06] It's easy to use, simple, right? Boom. You could see I have I did a few buys bought this coin earlier, but I papered it for a 2x. I sold. Very unfortunate. I would have made five figures if I just held. You live and you learn. Um, but

[05:21] those are the two simple ways to swap, right? First way is directly in your phone, whatever. Second way is with a decentralized exchange like Uniswap or like OpenSea, who I've been using the OpenSea mobile app. It's not public, but

[05:35] very soon it will be, and I'll make a tutorial for that. However, there is a level three, let's call it, to trading meme coins, which you're probably familiar if you trade Solana meme coins. And that's going to be by using a

[05:48] trading terminal, something like BaseBot or Bloom or Looter or Shuriken. There's much the same. Maybe some are faster than others, but, you know, I've I've

[06:00] pretty much operate the same. Now, I will put a full tutorial for possibly Bloom. So, I'll put a full tutorial for your wallet, and all that in the

[06:13] video, I just want to show you guys quick how it works. So, once you have the bot set up, once you have your wallet funded, you would literally just paste the contract address. It's going to pop up with the token. And from here,

[06:26] I can just if I click, this is like a quick buy button. So, if I click this not sure I do. Let's just go ahead and click this. Spot buy pending. And it's going to just immediately go through without me having to like enter amounts

[06:41] and fumble around and everything. And voila, just like that, my purchase has gone through. So, it's very quick. And let's say I want to sell right now, I can just sell either my initials, I can sell 100% of my bag in the click of the

[06:53] button. So, I'm just going to go ahead and do and do that for this tutorial so you can see how to sell. And voila, I have sold 100% of my bag. Hopefully, I holding, so it doesn't really matter. But, that's it. That's how easy it is to

[07:06] trade meme coins on Ethereum. Of course, there's things you got to consider like the gas you're paying, the fees you're paying. Gas is really good now on ETH. If things get hyped, right, gas prices are going to go higher. But, right now,

[07:19] it's like a couple bucks, not even. It's super cheap to trade on ETH because we're not in the bull market period, right? So, I like ETH meme coins. I hope they continue to do well, and we see more compared to SOL, especially. We had

[07:32] does it for today's tutorial. If you It helps my videos reach a wider audience. If you have any questions, let me know in the any comment section down below. I will answer you even if it's
