[00:27] >> I
[00:30] I can't I I I I can't even I'm I'm so
[00:33] I'm speechless.
[00:34] I'm I I I'm actually speechless.
[00:38] The kid in me just
[00:41] just screamed out in joy.
[00:44] I
[00:45] cannot believe what I just read.
[00:48] This this is this is my childhood.
[00:52] This this is the I
[00:53] This is not fake. The by the way, this
[00:55] is not fake. There was a legitimate
[00:57] interview
[00:58] that came out today.
[01:00] The main cast of Code Lyoko
[01:04] are coming back
[01:06] and they are coming together to continue
[01:09] the series to make season five. It's not
[01:13] a reboot. It's not a live action. It is
[01:16] a just a direct sequel continuation of
[01:19] the events of season four.
[01:22] I
[01:24] I didn't think I would ever see the day
[01:26] that Code Lyoko would actually get some
[01:31] form of continuation, but
[01:35] guys,
[01:36] like it's been
[01:39] 20 years. I I I I think yeah, it's been
[01:41] like 20 years
[01:43] since season four, okay? It It's been a
[01:45] long time. Two decades.
[01:47] Two freaking decades.
[01:53] Oh my Oh my god. Like dude dude, this
[01:56] just made my day.
[01:57] This just made my night. LIKE
[02:00] YO. YO.
[02:03] >> [laughter]
[02:04] >> IT'S SO GOOD, MAN. LIKE, I'm I'm so
[02:08] happy. Like
[02:10] I I dude
[02:12] I love Code Lyoko. It was the when
[02:16] I was growing up. Like, it was one of my
[02:17] favorite cartoons to watch. Like,
[02:20] alongside, let's say, Ed, Edd n Eddy,
[02:22] Courage the Cowardly Dog, Samurai Jack,
[02:23] and stuff like that. I love Code Lyoko.
[02:26] It's one of those cartoons that was just
[02:28] It stood out. It was honestly ahead of
[02:30] its time. And I I know a lot of people
[02:33] that they've never watched Code Lyoko,
[02:34] they have no idea what it's about, and
[02:36] they took a look at like the designs of
[02:38] the characters. You're like, "What's
[02:39] going on with their foreheads?" I
[02:40] understand. Big and big foreheads, yes.
[02:42] And I mean, even the fans make fun of
[02:44] it. But, the story was just way ahead of
[02:46] its time. And honestly, like, it's one
[02:49] of the big reasons I think why I even
[02:51] fell in love with anime eventually is
[02:53] because the story lines within Code
[02:55] Lyoko honestly is very anime inspired.
[02:58] Like, just straight up, very anime
[03:00] inspired. And honestly, it predates SAO,
[03:03] and it has kind of a a story where it
[03:05] goes into a virtual reality type world,
[03:07] kind of like how SAO does. And so, it
[03:10] was way ahead of that. I don't think it
[03:11] was like the first like story to ever do
[03:13] something like that. I mean, I know you
[03:15] have like an anime like Hack Sign, for
[03:16] instance, I believe that predates Code
[03:18] Lyoko but
[03:19] the point still stands is that um Code
[03:22] Lyoko is a childhood classic. And the
[03:25] fact that it's not just getting a
[03:27] continuation, but the core team, the
[03:30] original cast and team is coming back
[03:32] for this is insane. And now, one of the
[03:35] big things though that this interview
[03:37] that came out literally just a few hours
[03:38] ago details is that basically there is
[03:41] rights issues. Now, I'm going to take an
[03:44] educated guess since obviously it's been
[03:46] uh like two decades since Code Lyoko
[03:48] like season 4 ended, you know, there's
[03:51] going to be a lot of different
[03:51] companies, different rights, and stuff
[03:53] when it comes to probably using the
[03:54] music, to using the characters, the
[03:56] licensing, all sorts of different stuff.
[03:58] So, when you factor that in, it makes a
[04:00] lot of sense like there would be some
[04:01] rights issues that they got to resolve
[04:02] before they can fully 100% confirm it.
[04:05] But, at the very least, the core team
[04:07] literally just straight up said, "Yeah,
[04:08] that a sequel is in the works. They're
[04:10] working on it or writing it at the very
[04:11] least." And I dude, I'm just going to
[04:14] say, when this does come out, I'm
[04:16] I might even make videos on it. Like,
[04:18] I'm serious. Like, it is it's it's my
[04:19] childhood, man. Like,
[04:21] this just this just made my night, man.
[04:23] Like holy
[04:26] I want to leave it at that. I I just
[04:27] briefly wanted to make this video. I
[04:28] don't know how many people are even
[04:30] going to care about this video. I don't
[04:32] know how many of you guys are even Code
[04:34] Lyoko fans, but this is insane news for
[04:37] me. Like, this this is honestly one of
[04:39] the biggest pieces of news I've seen all
[04:40] year for like announcements, at least
[04:42] for me. But, uh you all have a fantastic
[04:44] day or night, wherever you live. Be
[04:46] safe, stay healthy. Chibbi out.
