"Delivers on the promise of cloning a calculator site with AI, but the $50K/month figure is speculative and the tutorial is padded with sponsor content."

AI Summary

This video reveals how a simple website like calculator.net can generate over $143,000 per month through Google AdSense, and demonstrates how to clone such a site using AI tools like Hostinger Horizons and ChatGPT. The creator walks through the entire process, from generating a prompt to publishing the site and applying for AdSense, emphasizing the importance of clear instructions and iterative refinement.

[00:01]
The $50K/Month Website

The video introduces a website making $50,000 a month, which is essentially a collection of calculators (mortgage, loan, BMI, etc.).

[00:40]
Traffic and Revenue Potential

calculator.net had over 47 million visits in February. Using conservative estimates (CPM of $1, one ad per page), the site could make over $143,000 per month.

[02:18]
Educational Disclaimer

The creator clarifies that not everyone will make that much, but a simple site can earn significant money, and the goal is to show how to build one.

[02:46]
Building with Hostinger Horizons

The creator uses Hostinger Horizons (starter plan) to build a similar web app in under 10 minutes. They use a promo code 'journey' for 10% off.

[03:13]
Crafting the AI Prompt

The key to success is giving AI clear instructions. The creator uses ChatGPT to generate a detailed prompt for Horizons, specifying categories and features.

[04:20]
AI-Generated Site

After about 5 minutes, Horizons creates a functional calculator site with search, popular calculators, and dedicated pages. It even explains results (e.g., BMI categories).

[05:12]
Iterative Refinement

The first prompt is rarely final. The creator makes several changes (e.g., adding a calculator on the home page, fixing a drop-down menu) by chatting with Horizons.

[06:25]
Testing and Accuracy

Testing the mortgage calculator revealed it was missing property tax and insurance. The creator asked Horizons to add those fields, improving accuracy.

[07:33]
Publishing and Domain

After finalizing, the site is published with one click. The creator claims a free domain and names the site 'Kelkyverse'.

[07:59]
Applying for Google AdSense

The creator walks through signing up for AdSense: choosing account type, entering details, selecting auto ads, and adding the AdSense code via Horizons.

[11:00]
Review and Approval

After requesting review, Google checks the site. Ensure you have a privacy policy and disclaimer to avoid rejection. Approval takes a few days.

[11:41]
Lesson: Provide Solutions

Google rewards sites that solve problems people search for. A simple, useful calculator site can generate income through ads.

The video demonstrates that with AI tools, anyone can create a simple, useful website that can generate significant ad revenue. The key is to provide value and use clear instructions to guide AI.

Google Rewards Solutions

Summarizes the core lesson: Google rewards sites that solve problems people search for.

11:41

[00:01] will not believe is making $50,000 a month. And I actually cloned this using AI. But the reason that you won't believe it is because this is basically the whole business. Now, you're probably sitting there like, "Monique, what in

[00:15] the world are you talking about?" But before you click off this video, let me show you what I mean. It is basically just a collection of calculators. I'm talking mortgage calculators, there's loan calculators, BMI, pregnancy,

[00:28] conversion calculators, you name it. So, if you haven't figured it out yet, you even matter? And the answer is because people are searching for tools like these every single day. And once we come

[00:40] over here and enter calculator.net, we can see that in February alone, this can see that in February alone, this website had over 47 million visits. Let me say that again, that's 47 million people that clicked on this in a month.

[00:54] know that the dollars will. So, calculator.net, how are they making money? It's through Google AdSense. Basically, as you scroll through the site, you'll notice different ads that are placed on here. It pops up. And

[01:08] these ads are not here to be cute. They are here to collect funds. And I hear Now, you want to know how much are they actually making? And would you look at that? We need a calculator to figure this out. So, we have to enter a few

[01:23] numbers here, the visits per month, the pages per visit, which we are able to find here on SimilarWeb. Then, we are going to estimate the ads that are on each page. I'll just say one. And finally, we are going to plug in that

[01:37] CPM, which if you don't know by now, that is how much a person is paid per 1,000 views of an ad. Now, I always tell you this, I like to be conservative. Why? Because I am not out here trying to just sell you a dream. I want to keep it

[01:50] real. So, we are going to say the CPM is $1, although that could vary depending on location, audience, a bunch of different factors. But with those numbers right there, that means this site could be making over $143,000

[02:04] in a month. And let's say everybody's not going to all of these different pages that similarweb says, and they're only getting one page view. That's still in a month. Now listen, I need you to come in a little closer because I'm

[02:18] going to put a disclaimer here. This is for educational purposes only. We know that every single person who built this website is not going to make $143,000 in a month. But if a simple site like this can make that type of money, we

[02:31] all. And now I want to show you how I was able to build a web app of my own that's similar to this one in under 10 minutes. And I was able to pull it off because why? I teamed up with AI. And the tool that I use for this is going to

[02:46] be Hostinger Horizons. Now, when you get on here, you will need a plan and not just a vision. Personally, I am using the starter plan because of course, it allows me to create multiple websites. But on top of that, I can sell products

[03:00] and also offer subscriptions. Now once you choose your plan, if you go ahead and enter my code journey, that will get you an additional 10% off. And it will take you right inside of what we need. You will see this lovely chat box here,

[03:13] we are going to have to do is give it a prompt telling it the type of website we want to create. But listen, I need you to hear me when I say this. This part right here could make you or break you. I know coming up, we have all learned

[03:27] that communication is the key that will open the doors that we need. And that same thing applies when it comes to AI. If you do not ask it the right thing, you will not get the right result that you are looking for. So to make sure I'm

[03:40] giving AI the instructions that we need, I am going to use ChatGPT. But I am basically explaining to it the type of calculator website that we want to recreate. I am telling it all of the different categories of calculators we

[03:54] want included and I am asking it to generate a prompt that we can use for Horizon so that it will be able to understand. Why? Because we want all of us to be on one accord. And I am going to paste it right here. And notice how

[04:07] detailed this prompt is. It's really breaking it down. I'm telling you the clearer you are with your instructions, the better the result will be. So, once I hit enter, it starts doing its job and I mean it's writing code that

[04:20] understand, but the good thing is I don't have to. And after about 5 minutes of building everything behind the scenes, this is what it created. Now, this is actually pretty impressive. It lets you search for the calculator you

[04:33] need. It also shows the popular ones in case you want to double and dabble. And when you click on one, it takes you to a dedicated page for that calculator where you can enter the information and it's going to give you the result. This was

[04:46] all created from that one prompt that we entered. And the cool thing about it is it even breaks down the answers for people. Like in the BMI calculator, it don't just give you a number, it explains what the number means and what

[04:59] category you fall in. But let me tell you something else that a lot of people fail to tell you on this good good internet. The first prompt that you give AI is almost never going to be the final result. A lot of people like to get on

[05:12] enter, and voila, I have a million works. There's a lot of in between that goes on and you just have to keep on sure that it meets your needs. So, I

[05:26] thinking that you are failing and it's not working for you. So, of course, I did make quite a few changes, but it is actually easy to do in Horizons. All you This time it's over here in the corner. And for instance, I asked it to add a

[05:42] calculator directly on the home page and then I told it I noticed the drop-down menu wasn't clickable, so can you fix that as well? Another thing I am mentioning as I go through and I scan to see what I want to change. Under the

[05:56] calculator categories, I wanted it to show a few options and then give people the ability to explore all. So, I asked it to make all of those changes and it updated everything really easily. But now the entire site is really flowing

[06:11] much better. Everything makes more sense. It's easier to navigate. But while I was testing the calculators because you definitely want to test your enter and say, "Hey y'all, come see it." I noticed something interesting. Under

[06:25] this mortgage calculator right here, something didn't look right why? Because I'm paying a mortgage and I know better, okay? So, I can guarantee you that the monthly payment on a $300,000 house is not going to be this pretty. So, that

[06:39] made me take a closer look and realized that something was missing. This is only showing the principal and it is not including property tax or insurance and we know those numbers is the one that is going to be what makes that monthly

[06:53] payment change. So, if you are building tools like this, also it's really important that you give people the right information because we want them to truly understand what they are getting themselves into. So, I simply went back

[07:06] to Horizons and I told it to update the calculator to include fields for property tax and insurance and once I hit enter, just like that, it updated everything and it is giving more accurate results now. And this right

[07:20] here is an example of the real power that we get with AI tools like this. You don't have to be the one that knows how to code, you just have to know what the result should be. But after that, once you're finished going through everything

[07:33] and making sure it all looks the way that you want it to, the only thing that will be left for you to do is hit this beautiful publish button and just like that, your site is live. And you'll instantly get a link that you can start

[07:46] sharing immediately. And once we start getting that traffic flowing in, we know the next step is to be paid. Why? Because we did not do all of this work one of the ways the site is making money is through Google AdSense. So, we are

[07:59] going to need to apply for that. But before we take ourselves over there, we are going to have to do something in hosting our first, and that is claim the free domain. Then we need to choose something that fits our site and is

[08:12] coming up with something, that is why ChatGPT is there on standby. You can just ask it something simple like, "Help me come up with a unique name for my website about whatever your website is about." But I am going to go with

[08:27] Kelkyverse because, why not? And just like that, our site officially has its own address on the internet. So, now we can go ahead and sign up for Google AdSense. And usually when I show you how to create websites like this, I don't go

[08:42] through all of the steps because it is really simple. But today, I want to take you by the hand, my good friend, and I am going to show you how quick and easy this can be. So, I put the link to Google AdSense down in the description

[08:56] so that you can follow along. So, first we just have to click sign up. And then we will need to choose the Google account that we want to use. And after that, we can add our new domain name that we just came up with right here.

[09:10] Now, as you can see, technically, you can apply for Google AdSense before your site is finished. But I personally recommend just doing it after your site is live. But the next thing you need to do is just select your payment country,

[09:24] agree to the terms because if you don't, you definitely won't get paid, and then, of course, read them as well, okay? We just not agreeing to things that we don't know what it's saying. But now Google is going to ask a few questions

[09:38] because they want to get all up in your business. So, we will have to select the account type. I am choosing individual, then enter your name and address, and submit that. After we do that, the next step is choosing how ads will appear on

[09:52] your site. And let me tell you something honestly, I feel like Google knows what it's doing here. They've been doing this much longer than I have, so I am going to trust that they will put the correct ads on the site for me. So, we will go

[10:04] ahead and select auto ads, and it will decide where to place them. And after that, what we will need to do is connect our site to AdSense. Google will give you a small piece of code that needs to be added to your website. So, I am just

[10:19] going to copy that code, and this is where Hosting Her Horizons is going to get really impressive. Because instead of trying to figure out where to add this code myself, I can just literally tell Horizons "Add this AdSense code to

[10:33] should go." And I give it the information, and it handles everything for me. And after it do that, you will have to make sure you hit publish the site again so that it is now live with that code added. After that, we come

[10:46] back to AdSense. We are going to check the box confirming that the code was added, and just like that it's going to confirm, and we're connected. The final step of this entire process is going to be simply clicking request review. And

[11:00] that is when Google is going to check your site to make sure everything meets their guidelines. And I think there's a mixture of AI checking it, and then they well. So, you want to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. And one other

[11:13] thing you want to make sure that your site has so that you don't get rejected is a privacy policy and some kind of disclaimer. And again, you can just ask Horizons to add that to your website. And you know, that's also to CYA. Cover

[11:28] your gluteus maximus. And just so that you know, the review process can take a you know, the review process can take a few days, but once you are approved then those ads will automatically be added to your site. And from that point every

[11:41] visitor that comes to your site is your opportunity to earn. So, let me tell you what the real lesson of the day is. While a calculator website may not look impressive, it is useful. And what does Google reward? It rewards the people

[11:56] that provide solutions to problems that people are searching for. So, if this possible, let me know down in the comments. And if you want me to share more websites like these that are quietly making money on this internet

[12:11] that you want to be able to tap into, also let me know that. But other than that, I thank you so much for watching and until next time, go be great.
