I Survived 24 Hours Using Only Evangelion Merch

[00:01] anime man I don't think you need me to say that there is a lot of anime merch becoming more mainstream all over the hands on all sorts of different anime merch from all sorts of different anime

[00:15] series but out of the giant pull of anime merch that exist out there for all sorts of different series new and old which series do you think has the widest palette of anime merch that is available today and if your answer is an noak's

[00:28] legendary anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion then you would be right because it's in the title of this video it's no surprise to say I love Evangelion it's a series that I grew up watching I watched all the movies read

[00:40] all of the spin-offs it's a series that means a lot to me as an anime fan and I've been collecting evangelon merch on and off for a while now figures manga I collection even though I don't have a laser disc player but the Neon Genesis

[00:54] Evangelion merch bubble is so much bigger than most people think and that made me think of an interesting question is it possible to live your day-to-day is it possible to live your day-to-day life using only Evangelion merch so I

[01:07] decided to take that challenge upon myself by spending the next 24 hours myself by spending the next 24 hours using only Evangelion merch Goods this is going to be an interesting one to start off this challenge let's cover the

[01:19] most basic of merchandise and that is of course clothing I don't think I can say I've done an Evangelion only challenge if I'm just wearing my regular clothes as much as uh myand brand nonsense is absolutely fantastic and you should go

[01:32] check it out at nonsense. JP Shameless plus so for now let's get out of these clothes and get into something a little more start off with I am wearing my lovely light and comfy to wear Evangelion colge

[01:48] shirt a couple of times in past videos and trash taste episodes I'm also wearing these pair of Evangelion sweatpants as well that are a little bit tight on me unfortunately just because I've gained a little bit of weight but

[02:01] they are comfy nonetheless and yes in case you guys are wondering I am also wearing Evangelion underwear because that is also a thing but the day has hungry so let's go make some food in the kitchen I went to the supermarket and I

[02:15] got some uh Supermarket Sushi you might think uh this is like lowquality stuff you're probably wondering Joey what's what's evangelon about sushi other than the fact that they both come from Japan well the sushi itself is not Evangelion

[02:28] but the plates that I will be using to eat the sushi are most certainly Evangelion themed these are official Evangelion Sushi plates this one has like a really cool angel on the cover of it right here so this is what I'll be

[02:41] using to put the sushi on and this is an Evangelion soy sauce plate apparently if then you can actually see the uh Eva in the middle so let's give it a go get the sush put it on the plate boom damn look at that it's like we're at a sushi

[02:55] restaurant now hell yeah here we go 3 2 1 I guess you can kind kind of make it out I'm I'm not too sure it's it's it's kind of mediocre but yeah I I I get the message that they were trying to get across that

[03:10] in honestly you can't dog on the supermarket Sushi it still tastes really countries out there and I could just drink my tea out of a regular boring plastic bottle but why do that when I have this this beautiful metallic

[03:26] Evangelion stick bottle hell yeah look at that Evangelion logo all the tea in now this is what I call an Evangelion meal cheers

[03:40] this lovely day with a bit of sush and a bit of tea from my evangelium collection so the one thing I always like to do after a meal after I've relaxed for a little bit is to just chillax and listen to some music before I have to go to

[03:52] have to actually go to the trash taste office to do some work and so during that I could really listen listen to and that's this Evangelion LP right here this is the one last kiss EP from utaru

[04:06] this was actually a track that was used in I believe the final Evangelion movie while ago and I still haven't actually listened to it yet so what better timing to give this a listen and uh yeah give my thoughts on it obviously I won't be

[05:13] favorite character and at the top here there's some kind of like slogan in the Evangelion font that says something along the lines of like destroy the germs eradicate them like the Angels or some [ __ ] I don't know and in case

[05:25] you're wondering right there it says officially liced by evang so this is as legit as it gets but why is the real question why why why have no freaking idea but we're going to be using this laan detergent to clean up

[05:40] my clothes and boom I don't actually know how to use this kind of version here okay so you kind of have to just like push it like that and it comes out from this end here I guess all right let's open this up one oh

[05:54] 2 3 4 five what a weird way to put in washing detergent close that up go and there we go the washing has begun time to leave that spinning for the day off

[06:09] to work well I'm about to head to work now and obviously since I just finished my meal and I'm about to make a public appearance I got to freshen up a little brush my teeth and obviously we're going to be using an Evangelion toothbrush

[06:25] this is probably the one piece of merch that I was the least surprised exist uh but it is pretty cool that they go full in on it and they say that uh this is only used for nerve employees only cuz I am definitely a nerve employee

[06:37] make sure you brush your teeth twice a day well I'm finally ready to go to the trash tast office but in Japan I obviously have to take the train to get into the office or anywhere for that matter and for that you need a train

[06:51] card Joey you have some kind of like Evangelion train card or something Yes actually that's exactly what I have I have an evangelon train card this one's got Oscar on it it almost acts like as an ID of some kind in case I wanted to

[07:04] try and fall someone into the fact that like I'm actually Oscar not to mention one thing I always like to do whenever I'm on my travel or commute or anywhere that I like going to is listening to music and obviously I'm going to be

[07:17] listening to Evangelion music on the way there but why not pair it with a pair of Evangelion headphones as well these are actually really sick because they kind would wear in the show paired with the color and the cas and everything it

[07:30] looks really freaking dope let's see what they look like inside my ears that looks so funny it really just does look like I'm doing some AA cosplay also they're quite soundproof too and the noise is actually uh pretty good

[11:24] built in that's that's what they want they want you to actually just like do it yourself a building a PC but for plebs like me exactly so even if you're an absolute Noob at building PCS are people like me then this is perfect for

[15:39] okay well after all of that pain and suffering we've built the AA we've built suffering we've built the AA we've built the Asus AA computer it looks absolutely beautiful we did a little bit of cable management so this is probably the best

[15:53] is going to look we've plugged it up over there to that monitor so now it's thing turns on if I'm getting oh wait it's already loading up the light okay so that's good that's already working oh my God looks

[16:12] so glad to see you oh my God everything works beautifully all of the LEDs all the screens the colors everything looks absolutely freaking awesome it comes with a bunch of peripheries as well for example we have this huge keyboard and

[18:39] snack box looking thing this is a little wagashi collection by Evangelion oh this is so cute oh my God there's these cute little Evangelion themed wagashi with like the nerve logo and like the Evangelion Angel head and stuff like

[18:53] an angel head M very well gosh it's mostly like a flavored sugar type of thing which is very common type of wagashi here in Japan but it's like not too sweet it'd be good with like a really nice glass of

[19:07] tea or something oh by the way um it's a little bit cold right now because it is actually wearing my lovely evangelon jacket right here which again I've worn normally I would pair this with something like a green tea or something

[19:22] but you know I'm an adult sake this is really cool this is a collaborated Nishi Japanese sake bottle and it's the end of a challenge video so

[19:34] we're going to do it in style I have right here an Evangelion collaboration champagne glass yes this is a real thing this one's got colored D on the face of it I know it's kind of hard to see like here but what better way to finish off

[19:48] an Evangelion themed 24-hour challenge then with a bottle of Mis branded then with a bottle of Mis branded Japanese sake in a c branded champagne glass I'll just do a little bit like that there we go yeah this is a sippy

[20:01] would say that was a very successful day and a very successful challenge as not too like heavy uh on the aftertaste it's quite easy to drink and it was a

[20:16] good idea that I actually left this uh in the fridge as well to chill out out but of course there's a few things left to know before the night ends and the most obvious answer is of course taking a shower obviously because I've

[20:30] about I'm a little bit sticky and sweaty but of course even though we're close to the end we are still in the midst of the Evangelion challenge so I had to grab these this is a brand of shampoo and

[20:42] yeah laugh it up in the comments and of course it is Evangelion collaborated as well with 01 and the0 model respectively the shampoo is uh strong oily uh probably the worst way you could have

[20:57] called that and the conditioner is pack what does that mean I don't know and you're probably thinking Joey where's the body wash well there was a body wash collection of Evangelion in the past but I looked everywhere on the internet and

[21:09] it just seems like it's not available anymore so the best I can do is to just use some shampoo to wash my body because as Blasphemous as that sounds that is an hair today anyway so this is a perfect opportunity let's see how good scalp D

[21:23] opportunity let's see how good scalp D is for my scalp and D I can't believe I just said well now that my shower is over my scalp and my D are clean I think according to my Evangelion uh diary right here it

[21:37] seems like it is now the next day which means that the challenge the Evangelion merch only 24-hour challenge is officially over I did it guys I did it clap it out there was a lot that was going on in this video so let's review

[21:52] to answer the question of is it possible to survive 24 hours using only Evangelion merch well I think we have figured out from this video that the answer is yes probably I'm personally inclined to

[22:05] put a big asterisk on that yes just because there were a lot of items that I did want to get my hands on and show you guys in this video that I could have used throughout this challenge but a lot of the items that I wanted to get my

[22:18] hands on and a lot of the items that I saw throughout my research were just not available anywhere or they were only available for extremely high prices that I not afford because I do not have Mr Beast level of expendable income for

[22:31] example one of the weirdest items that I found was this official collaboration of Evangelion with toilet paper yes that's right some toilet paper company decided it was a good idea to do a collaboration with Evangelion so that you can wipe

[22:45] your ass after a [ __ ] with a bunch of quotes from all of the Evangelion characters on it but as far as my research show there was no viable option surprisingly there were actually quite

[22:58] get my hands on no matter what like if you look at more of the famous examples there was an Evangelion officially collaborated vehicle that one could buy as well as an entire apartment building that was themed around Evangelion but

[23:13] again as as much as I hate to admit I'm not that big of a fan of Evangelion I me wrong and I had a lot of fun doing this challenge but I don't love it that much but I think overall I was able to fulfill I guess the point of this

[23:28] challenge was to show you guys the fact that yes out of all of the different there in the world Evangelion most certainly has the largest and definitely most eclectic array of official merch out there and I'm sure there was a ton
