Frost DK is BACK! Biggest Winner?
45sOpens with a bold claim about a previously neglected spec becoming a top pick, sparking debate among fans.

This video ranks all DPS specs for World of Warcraft's Midnight Season 2 based on PTR testing, highlighting the biggest winners and losers. The creator, Sky, provides detailed analysis of each spec's damage, utility, and gameplay changes, with a focus on Mythic Plus viability.
Frost DK received significant damage updates and a phenomenal tier set. Despite a philosophy of big damage outside cooldowns, it remains cooldown-reliant but is considered a top-tier spec in Mythic Plus.
Devour DH, already S+ tier in Season 1, got even better with more consistent damage outside cooldowns. Its survivability, utility, and damage profile make it a top pick for caster comps.
Shadow Priest received incredible tier set changes, allowing for many instant-cast Void Volleys. While numerically could use slight improvements, the gameplay is one of the best and it's likely to be meta.
Elemental Shaman got changes to reduce cooldown reliance, making damage more consistent. The Farseer hero talent is now the go-to, with great single-target and AoE damage, making it a massive surprise winner.
Arcane Mage, previously one of the worst specs, is now one of the most popular on the PTR. The new Prismatic Bolt and reworked Arcane Pulse make it a fun and powerful spec, likely the premier mage spec.
Arms Warrior remains a staple in melee cleave comps with high damage and good utility. While not many changes, it's in a great spot and will be mandatory in many groups.
Enhancement Shaman's damage outside cooldowns has improved, and its utility (totems, interrupts) remains excellent. It's a strong contender for melee cleave comps.
Unholy DK, the premier spec of Season 1, got some good changes but also nerfs. It remains a strong DPS with incredible defensives and utility, but is not as dominant as before.
Balance Druid's damage is more consistent with changes to spenders and procs. The tier set is fun, and it's a better spec than Season 1, though not top-tier.
Assassination Rogue got improved energy management and a better Apex talent. The tier set is boring, but the spec is definitely improved and could be the premier rogue option.
Survival Hunter got big changes, including removing Molotov Cocktail. The rotation is fun, but the tier set is boring and damage can be inconsistent.
Havoc DH is numerically in a good spot with consistent damage. The tier set is improved, and it's a viable alternative to Devour.
Fire Mage has made improvements, with good damage and utility. However, the combustion design is outdated, and the spec is boring outside of cooldowns.
Retribution Paladin is largely unchanged but remains a healthy spec with the best utility in the game. It's a solid choice for average players.
Fury Warrior is a premier raid spec with high single-target damage, but it's outclassed by Arms in Mythic Plus due to poor mass AoE.
Frost Mage lost its defensive edge as other mage specs got similar tools. The tier set is inconsistent, and it's likely to be outclassed by Arcane or Fire.
Affliction Warlock is in a decent spot with consistent damage, but lacks major changes. The Hellcaller hero talent could improve it, but it's not exciting.
Beast Mastery Hunter is the starter spec, with no major changes. It's fun but not exciting, and the tier set is boring.
Devastation Evoker got minimal updates, and the new Apex talent is limited. The gameplay is fun for some but can get old, so it remains unchanged.
Feral Druid's mass AoE is exceptional, but low-target cleave and single-target are weak. The tier set is good, but the spec is mostly unchanged.
Demonology Warlock is the epitome of 'didn't need updates.' Its talent tree is solid, and it's a good spec, but nothing changed.
Destruction Warlock is one of the worst specs for low-target cleave, and its gameplay is not fun. It needs major changes, especially to Chaos Bolt.
Augmentation Evoker's gameplay got worse with changes to Scale Commander. While utility is S+, the spec is less fun to play.
Outlaw Rogue is the highest APM spec and exhausting to play. The tier set is good, but the spec needs an overhaul.
Subtlety Rogue's damage was moved out of cooldown windows, which hurts its identity. The damage is not good, and it's a definite loser.
Marksmanship Hunter's 3-second Aim Shot cast is not fun in Mythic Plus. The rotation is clunky, and the spec is a loser.
Windwalker Monk didn't get hero talent updates, and its tier set is poor. Its defensive capabilities are among the worst, making it a loser.
The video provides a comprehensive tier list for DPS specs in Midnight Season 2, highlighting major winners like Frost DK, Devour DH, Shadow Priest, Elemental Shaman, and Arcane Mage, while identifying losers like Subtlety Rogue, Marksmanship Hunter, and Windwalker Monk. The analysis is based on PTR testing and focuses on Mythic Plus viability, with an emphasis on damage consistency, utility, and fun gameplay.

37:52[00:01] Midnight is literally just around the corner. In today's video, we're going to be talking about the biggest winners and losers and all of the shocking results that comes with it. This comes through all the mythic plus testing and
[00:13] changes and tier sets for each class spec in the game. But grab a snack, sit First up, ladies and gentlemen, it's going to be the Frost Death Knight. Now, this was a spec that easily was amongst one of the bigger losers in Midnight
[00:28] Season 1. And to be honest, I don't think Frost Death Knight had a gameplay issue. I think since they made the changes in War Within, I think this class was well on its way to being very, very powerful. The problem is is that
[00:42] Unholy just got a nuclear rework, and we know what happens when Blizzard does reworks. They like to put that class up in front and just dominate. Especially at the start of a new expansion, similar to what they did with Devour and Unholy
[00:54] dominated it. It took the spotlight and Frost just got neglected the entire season. Now, at this point, Frost got some really nice damage updates. Their tier set looks phenomenal and simply all you have to do is change some talents
[01:08] that were really good for Frost Death Knight. They just got nerfed. You swap tier set and their damage is great. Now, you do have to remember though, they were kind of going for a philosophy of big damage outside of cooldowns. If I'm
[01:21] not the case still with frost death knight. Frost damage is death knight is out of control in cooldowns, but outside of it, still pretty lackluster. But above and beyond right now. I think the gameplay is fun. The tier set's fun. The
[01:37] is amongst the best in the game combined in a mythic plus environment. I'm loving Frost Death Knight. They are absolutely a huge winner right now. The damage numbers look great. Very, very good spec overall. This video is sponsored by

[03:38] gentlemen. Devour Demon Hunter. I mean, Devourer dominated all of season 1. Midnight World of Warcraft. And like I said, Blizzard likes to make the brand new specs and bring, you know, talent changes and stuff. Whenever they do
[03:52] front and center. And uh that happened Devour in season 1. Now, season 2 has come around and uh believe it or not, Devour got some really nice changes. So, you'd think, are they going to get worse because they were already S+ tier in
[04:06] season 1. Well, they actually kind of divvied out and, you know, evened out and got even better to be honest. Um, during their cooldown windows in season 1, their damage was the highest in the game bar none. No one was even close
[04:19] when on a good devour demon hunter. But now in season two, they're sort of taking some of that damage outside of their bull burst cooldowns and giving them some more consistency to sort of even them out outside of it. Not only
[04:31] lot with getting those explosive consumes. So overall, Devour's damage profile is a lot more consistent. It's still heavily reliant inside of your overall it's a lot better outside of
[04:46] really good. Their survivability is strong. Their utility is great for caster comps as well. They're always needed. I mean, you name it, Devour has as simple as that. Heading into new season, they're definitely looking to
[04:58] dominate still yet again. Moving on next, man. Probably the biggest surprise of this video, ladies and gentlemen. Shadow Priest. This happened absolutely out of nowhere. I think the last few weeks, Shadow Priest was probably in the
[05:11] slightly better tier, but just as the other day, Shadow just got some incredible changes to their tier set bonus to where you're just casting so many void volleys, all instant cast damage AOE just right off the bat
[05:24] whenever you want. And it is just so much fun. Lance is hooked on this spec right now on the PTR. He can't loged off. And honestly, I think I think Shadow just is one of the best specs in the game in terms of just fun. They're
[05:37] dominating. Now, numerically, they could use some slight improvements, but overall, this is a huge, huge winner. We might easily have a shadow priest meta in the caster comp uh situation going on here, and I'm not really against that.
[05:50] I'm all for it. Um, I love shadow priest. I think the rotation got with their tier set. You're constantly getting these void volleys shot off. damage. You're not hard casting. Now, I will say a lot of your damage is still,
[06:03] which pisses me off. I still think they need an AoE spender similar to like Warlock has with like for example like Reign of Fire or like Seed of Priest needs something like that rather than just relying on psychic link, but
[06:17] Overall though, the gameplay and the fluidity of the spec is probably one of the best it's ever been. I think the damage is decent. It could use some problem. It just got drastically changed and to be one of the better in the
[06:30] entire game now. Loving Shadow Priest, great utility. I think they are absolutely going to be in the meta conversation heading into season 1 and we'll see what actually happens come game day. Moving on next, man. This is
[06:42] another big surprise. We have elemental shaman. Now, elemental shaman was doing pretty good in season 1. I wouldn't say they're like god tier by all means. personally would grab an elemental shaman and, you know, have them in my
[06:56] group. Maybe elemental, retribution paladin. So overall, I think elemental has its place sometimes even just with, you know, sheer utility, just how much buff, they have their blood lust, they have all their totems, their big crowd
[07:08] controls, their CC's, short cool down kick. Elemental is just perfect utility-wise. So the problem is that elemental outside of their damage cooldowns, if you don't get real good value out of ascendants, holy [ __ ]
[07:20] isn't not going to be as high as everybody else and it's going to be good value out of ascendants. So heading into season 2, Blizzard wanted to change that a little bit and give them more consistency outside of their cooldowns.
[07:33] And let me tell you, they nailed it. They absolutely nailed it. I think they did great. You've been playing Stormbringer the last like freaking two whole inception. And now it looks like you're going to be playing Farer and
[07:46] Farier is blasting. It is a lot of fun. Uh I love the tier set bonuses. You get Earthquake and your spenders, which is really, really fun. The damage is great. so that's always fun, too. I don't know
[08:00] like to mix it up and play different hero talents. I don't want to play just the meta. So, I'm liking that Far Seir is the option this time around. And I think Elemental is in a fantastic spot. The damage is highly consistent. Single
[08:12] target boss fight is amazing because Farier is your go-to option now. And I That's it. There's really nothing else to say other than that. Another once again, massive surprise. Holy [ __ ] is Arcane Mage. Let me tell you something.
[08:26] Arcane, honestly, I think it was probably in one of the worst like two, probably in one of the worst like two, three bottom spots in all of season 1 of Midnight World of Warcraft. Simply from just gameplay numerically, it was just
[08:39] terrible in the raids. Like things were just not looking good for Arcane. And there like most mage players love to play Arcane Mage. They want to play the Arcane Mage premier spec and have that be meta and dominate. And let me tell
[08:54] you something right now on the PTR. This is one of, if not the most popular class you will see on the PTR. And it just goes to show people love Arcane Mage and a lot of fun. And heading into this season, they made a lot of changes. That
[09:07] whole orb mastery spam build is gone. Get that [ __ ] out of my face. Their of the magi interaction gone. Get it out of my face. It got replaced with prismatic bolt. one of the most impactful and fun Bruntton suppress in
[09:20] the game just because it feels like you're sending a nuke off to a pack and it deals a crapload of single target damage, a crapload of AoE. The gameplay interactions a lot better. Arcane Pulse got reworked to give you instantly four
[09:32] charges of arcane charges. Dude, I'm telling you guys right now, I might main Arcane Mage. [ __ ] is looking good for Arcane. I really like it. And not only that, the cherry on top, of course, their utility, but their defensive
[09:45] across the board are looking a lot better, but Arcane I think in particular is going to be the premier mage spec and I'm really really enjoying them as of right now. Moving on next, man. Oh boy. Oh boy. Arms warrior. Let me tell you
[09:59] something. I think arms warrior gameplaywise has been really fun. And of course arms is always going to be wanted inside of a mythic plus environment. god knows how long. And I'm going to be honest with how strong Brew Master has
[10:14] you could always grab an Arms Warrior and they're going to be mandatory in a melee cliff comp. It doesn't matter what key range you're at. Arms warriors are bunch of melee characters in your group. And I think they're rotationally very
[10:28] fun. The problem is is in Midnight Season 1, they've been very wishy-washy. really bad. It was like constantly a patchby patch basis until the end of the season. They actually ended up doing really well in Mythic Plus. Now, at this
[10:42] point in Midnight Season 2 on the PTR, their numbers are great. Now, they didn't get much changes, but they didn't really need it. Like, the game play has really need it. Like, the game play has been fun for Warrior. I think now like
[10:55] feeling really good, you have a little bit more utility heading into this new melee cleave comp and your damage is high. Yeah. I mean, that's kind of all arms warriors need. Make me hit really hard with my big two-handed weapon,
[11:11] they do that. They're going to shut up and be happy. And I think they deserve dealing good damage in melee cleave comp, we have a problem. Moving on. Next, speaking of melee cleave comp, bingo bango bongo, we have two shaman
[11:26] specs in the huge winner, which is the enhancement shaman. And boy oh boy, and gentlemen. Let me tell you something. Early season 1, this spec looked like a damn disaster because you were so cool down reliant. The damage
[11:41] outside of cooldowns were absolute piss. It was like tank damage. Now, once you some more gear, you started performing a little bit better, but still, even yet seeing melee cleaves literally just taking elemental shaman over enhance.
[11:55] season, things changed. They got some better gear, their stats improved, they got some updates, and they ended up performing a little bit better. And I their own. But if we're talking about in meta contention, holy [ __ ] enhancement
[12:10] cooldowns are doing good. Now, I'm Stormbringer on the PTR. I could be wrong. I might have to double check doing great. The numbers are really good. The damage outside of cooldowns
[12:23] say their defensive capabilities could definitely be improved still, but man, overall, if their numbers are good, enhancement is always going to be a utility they can bring. They got all their totems, they got their poison
[12:37] season, especially. They got all their short cooldown kicks, uh, the interrupt, great. I think enhancement's great. Looking very good heading into the new season. Moving on now to the slightly better tier. This is specs that just got
[12:52] Definitely an improvement compared to season 1, but hopefully they can get some other adjustments. Moving on now, talking to Unholy Death Knight. Listen, it's no surprise Unholy Death Knight season 1. Everyone knows it was the
[13:06] premier spec. It was Unholy Death Knight. It was Devour Demon Hunter, your choice of tanks and healers. That was like the meta go-to option all the at this point. Now, heading to the new season, Blizzard thought it'd be cute to
[13:21] add even more changes to this spec. Now, I think some of these changes are good. with their Maggus of the Dead and some of their other things in their toolkit as well as their Apex talent. So, like overall, I think it's better. Um, but I
[13:34] DK. Now, their damage has been really good. It's been really, really strong. They did just get nerfed, however, but once again wasn't anywhere near frost definitely in the slightly better category because if you're S tier in
[13:47] tighting in the new season and you got some slightly better adjustments. Very category. Incredible defensives, good utility, grips, AMZ, all that fun stuff. Definitely still going to be a very strong DPS spec. Moving on. Next, we
[14:02] have to talk about the balance druid. Listen, I'm going to be real. Season 1 balanced druid did not do well. Even in caster comps, I I would never take a balance druid simply because their damage was just like very inconsistent
[14:15] single target. A mass AoE, if you have like pulling eight, nine, 10 mobs, those really high keys, it can get kind of sketchy pulling that amount of mobs groups and you're pugging. So, balance just never really got true value. Now,
[14:29] at this point, ladies and gentlemen, Blizzard decided to to, you know, take some damage outside of their, you know, spenders and all their procs. make their spenders hit harder, but you cast less of them. And then all of your other
[14:42] Sunfire, and all that other jazz got improved. And the numbers numerically have been really good. Also, the problem with balance season 1 is that Guardian Druid was meta. And why would I double stack druid? I don't need to double
[14:57] Like, if I have that covered, I'm not going to double stack it. I can go get That's why I would never personally take a balanced druid cuz I'd always have a guardian druid in my in my party. That's it. It's as simple as that. So like
[15:09] non-existent. But now heading into the season, I think they're looking good. The tier set is really fun. More damage side of Eclipse. Things look good there. Good damage AoE, very consistent. A lot less procs for a bunch of free spenders,
[15:22] bit more impactful. I do think this is a slightly better spec than season 1, and Moving on, next we have to talk about the assassination rogue. Um, assassination I'm putting in the slightly better tier for a couple
[15:36] energy gameplay got substantially improved. You're not energy star of 247. You could use thistle tea, you know, as an activatable now whenever you want. which is nice. Uh, you have some other quality of life updates. Uh, your crowd
[15:50] You know, that nice little AoE silence Plus this season. So, the control just off assassination is absolutely nuts. So, that's really good. Not only that, on on a much better note, which is
[16:04] probably the best part, Apex talent uh implacable got improved with the whole right when you use invenom, and then there's a couple other interactions that than like force feeding it to yourself
[16:16] in season 1, which I hated. Um, overall, assassination looks definitely improved. a fact there are some hardcore assassination rogue players out there this spec. Anytime I see an assassination rogue player, they tend to
[16:32] whip ass. And I'm going to be honest, I think this could be a scenario where they could be well. Now, do I think they're going to be one of the best specs in the game? No. But I do think they are the premier rogue option
[16:45] the new control with Iron Wire as well as the better and more improved uh you know, capstone talents and talent tree in general got some slightly improved. So, I like that. My only problem is I don't love their tier set. It's super
[16:59] freaking boring. It's literally just poison damage, bleed damage. That's it tier set bonus. So, would have loved some nice gameplay interaction or assassination is definitely improved, slightly better heading to new season.
[17:14] Moving on next, we do have also survival hunter. Now, I do want to make something Survival just got some pretty big changes on the PTR that I haven't even checked out. They changed a lot with, you know, their Molotov cocktail. They
[17:27] literally got it rid of it completely and they changed it with a bunch of other stuff and talents involving wildfire bomb and their other base kit. Now, with that being said, if you take a spec that rotationally is pretty fun,
[17:40] one's using and then you add more people are using a lot, seems like a W to me. You know what I mean? Not only that, I like their gameplay rotation numbers. They've been doing pretty well.
[17:53] They're just a little bit inconsistent at times. I would say the biggest problem is their tier set is very, very boring and it just funnels into you talent over and over to get most of your damage out there. Now, some people may
[18:06] like it, some people don't. In my opinion, I would have liked some very maybe, you know, boomstick and wildfire bomb or something to build up stacks for a big expenditure burst. I feel like that's something survival is missing and
[18:19] gameplay improvements on the talent tree, and this looks like the premier season. So, if you like survival, things are looking pretty decent for you. Hunter. I'm going to make this very simple, short, and sweet. Um,
[18:34] numerically, Havoc is in a very good spot. They're very, very consistent, whether it be single target or AoE. I think if you like the essence break style of gameplay, your tier set could be cool. For me personally, I never
[18:46] ties with your cycle of hatred. Now, I think I think rotationally there's nothing wrong with Havoc season 1. Devourer just got launched. Blizzard loves to do this thing where like, hey, we put a lot of work into something and
[18:59] throat. And that's what they do with those specs like unholy devour. So, like even Demonology Warlock season 1 is the same case. Like now we're sort of divvying out. Havoc is definitely slightly better. The damage is good. I
[19:12] think the tier set is definitely improvements compared to season 1. And I think you can choose whether you want devour or havoc whenever you want for a, I don't mind Havoc Demon Hunter at all. Moving on. Next, we have Oh man, this is
[19:27] mage. Oh boy, here we go. Here comes the hate comments. Listen, let me tell you something right now. I'm going to be the first one to say it. I do not like the design of Fire Mage at all. But if we're talking about a winners and losers list,
[19:40] have classes improved heading into a new season. If we're going to be technical, fire mage technically has made improvements. Is it drastic improvements? No. But we're talking about slight improvements to where I
[19:54] think this spec could unironically be pretty good. Not only that, their They have a cheat death with cauterize. They have excellent utility, good crowd control. So, all fire mage is missing is some good damage. And ladies and
[20:07] Fire mage is actually dealing pretty freaking good damage right now. Their tier set with pyrolasm is really good. Unironically, it's at least somewhat better of engaging gameplay. My biggest problem still with fire mage yet again
[20:22] is I think they need an overhaul to combustion. I don't think this whole one seconds or however long. I don't think it fits in World of Warcraft anymore, this route of reducing, you know, damage inside of cooldowns. You can't do that
[20:37] to a spec like fire. I think they should overhaul combustion into a damage overtime effect that sort of procs big [ __ ] burns on everybody and you just melt everybody in a short dense window. I feel like that would be much cooler.
[20:50] Overall though, if you're talking to me gameplay variants wise, I hate fire is a threeb button spec. It's super boring outside of combustion. Ladies and gentlemen, the numbers right now on fire. You can't deny it. They do pretty
[21:03] good. And if you pull a nuclear amount of mobs, this spec will top damage. it hunter during its cooldown windows. I'm telling you, the damage is out of control. But outside of that, it's absolute swamp ass piss tank damage. I
[21:17] don't want it in the game. Moving on next, let's go to the plain white toast. That is retribution paladin. Ladies and gentlemen, retribution's pretty much Now, I don't think this is a bad thing. I I think they got some slight updates.
[21:32] They got a couple art of war procs updates, but the truth of the matter is is I think retribution is always going to be in a healthy good place whether utility is the best in the entire game. Blessing of sacrifice, blessing of
[21:46] protection, uh lay on hands, chunky word of glory off heels, like I mean you name it, this class has it. A battle res, like they have unbelievable utility and they can bring enough utility to sustain everybody and do whatever they want
[22:00] whether their damage is good or bad. So, God willing, this spec's damage is good. healthy spec to play for the average player and get all of your titles for Mythic Plus and go about your day. So, with that being said, I think
[22:14] get massive changes or updates heading in the new season, but they're always going to be just fine. Moving on next to Fury Warrior. Um, this is a spec that problem is is that Mythic Plus Arms Warrior is just absolutely freaking
[22:28] crushing it right now. I do think fury warrior is going to be the, you know, premier raid spec. Uh, depending on how many cleave mobs we have in this raid. I it's definitely going to be, I would
[22:40] spec. Fury is just disgusting single target wise. Definitely compared to arms with arms warrior, the damage is out of control on boss fights. So, you know, do that. So, fury warrior, not really much changes. Nothing updated here.
[22:55] you're kind of memeing if you think you're going to go in mythic plus and warrior simply because it's just that much better and fury is just crippled when it comes to, you know, mass AoE. So, that's pretty much it. Moving on
[23:09] next to Frost Mage. Um, unironically, I I actually think Frost Mage got slightly slightly worse compared to the other mage specs. You have to understand what gave frost mage the major edge season 1 was that their control was really good
[23:24] of course which they still keep that but their defensive capability was a lot their ice barrier two charges of their ice block mechanic thing or it reduces their damage taken by a ton. Um so they had a couple things that would you know
[23:37] give them the edge and defensive capabilities but now both arcane and fire got those and not only that the damage is very similar between all three specs. I do think come game day, it's going to be an up in the air situation
[23:52] between Arcane or Fire. I think Frost is still great. Their tier set is just a little too inconsistent for me in my taste. I'm not in love with it. Um the whole glacial spike thing coming back, I I don't think it's great for Mythic Plus
[24:07] and it's just a bit random. It's a bit inconsistent for me and I'm I'm just not in love with it. So, if you're trying to base a spec for me to play based on RNG, we're going to talk about Outlaw a little later in the video. Hint, I'm not
[24:20] in love with Outlaw, but I think Frost Mage will be just fine. But I will say I Arcan or Fire. Uh, moving on. Next, we have Affliction Warlock. Listen, this is a spec that I'm I'm maning in World of Warcraft right now. I've got all my
[24:34] hours into this spec, and I think Affliction is in a decent spot at best. Um, would have loved some major talent changes, you know, to differentiate AoE what they do with Demonology. um demonology like you could just have one
[24:47] build and you're good to go for all forms of content literally one build. So changes there. The thing is is the damage wise for affliction is never been a problem. They've been very very consistent in AoE and single target
[25:01] isn't the worst thing in the world. Like I there will definitely be boss fights in mythic plus 20s and 21s that I'm topping damage. It it's happened. But I changes. Mostly this class is going unchanged. I think their tier set is
[25:14] to like Dark Harvest and a couple other things. Nothing too too crazy to flaunt about. I I like Affliction. I just there are definitely some more exciting specs to play. Overall, I think their DOT
[25:26] damage is definitely going to be improved and changed. And I hopefully the Hellcller updates to the hero talent tree could get them in in a better spot. made that they can get into the slightly better category with AoE damage and
[25:38] you know what? Screw it. Just for you guys, I'll put affliction in the slightly better category. Moving on, next we have Beast Mastery Hunter. Um, listen, this is another plain white toast. Um, really no changes going on
[25:51] here. Tier set heavily involves uh, you know, their base abilities of Kobashot, Nothing like eye opening or eye grabbing. And I don't think Beast Mastery needs anything like that. I think the like everybody knows Beast
[26:05] Mastery is known as the, you know, the starter beginner spec. That's okay. I think it's it's fun for what it is, but there's nothing super exciting going on here. Um, there are some issues I would say because like when it comes to a hero
[26:19] play pack leader this season coming up. You're not playing dark ranger. Like there's no benefit to going the whole Black Arrow uh what is it like death blow build. Like it there's no benefits. Like your tier set and all the new
[26:32] leader more. So, it looks like you're going to be playing plain white toast, pack leader, simple BM hunter, and just smile for the camera. And that's pretty much it. I don't think it's a problem. It's just it's unchanged. It is what it
[26:45] is. Moving on. Next, Devastation Evoker. Uh, man, this one's tough. I'm going to tough one cuz I don't know whether to put this in unchanged or loser simply because I think it's a mixture of both. They really didn't get much updates
[26:58] addition to their apex talent the last rank where you get an ability I think use it like three or four times after your dragon rage ends it does some nice AoE damage but the truth of the matter is is just because I press a button four
[27:12] times doesn't mean the damage is going to be great overall at the end of my dungeon at the end of my key I want to know what damage aspects and what damage good what damage abilities did great and how can I improve them to increase their
[27:26] uptime even more so like if you're limited on four button presses at the damage is like 2 3%. I mean, what are we really talking about right now? That's and I think it's good for scale commander, but the problem is is like a
[27:39] commander gameplay style. The whole flying around flapping every two seconds like double deep breath. Like personally, if you're asking me personally, I like that gameplay style, but some people don't and it gets old
[27:52] really quickly. So, I'm going to leave them in the unchanged category for now. Devastation in the comments section below. If they were a loser last season, I don't know. I think Devastation might have to go in the loser category, sadly.
[28:04] Uh, moving on. Next, we have Pharaoh Druid. Now, I'm going to say this very, very simply and very straightforward. Pharaoh Druid numerically on AoE packs is performing very, very exceptional. The damage is great. Now, listen, damage
[28:20] wise in mass AoE, feral's not going to struggle. It can hold its own against anybody in a melee cleave comp. It's going to do just fine. My problem is between two to four targets, the damage is absolute swamp ass. And then single
[28:36] target boss fights, the damage can suffer at times. So like, yeah, you'll beat the arms warrior, but if you don't beat the arms warrior in single target talking about? That dude's got a diaper on dealing damage when it comes to
[28:50] single target boss fights. He's not there for that. So, like I would have updates to, you know, Feral single Mythic Plus talents, but I I think
[29:02] utility-wise. Feral is still good. Um, there's just not much to brag about here. They really didn't get updates. They got like a chomp damage increase. part about Frell heading in this new season has to be the fact that their
[29:16] tier set's actually really good. So, I think it's like whenever you incarn, you deal more damage uh per combo point spent after incarn ends. So, you almost like double dip on your cooldown and then I think the foreset makes it even
[29:29] last longer. So, like I like it. It's cool. My problem is is like low target cleave really bad. Single target pure boss fight kind of mid. Other than that, I like feral. Mostly unchanged though. Nothing too much to brag about. Let's go
[29:41] to demonology. Now, demonology is the epitome and literal definition of just didn't need to update anything. I think their talent tree was pretty damn good. They were slightly meta pretty much all season long until the last couple like
[29:55] months. Um, demonology is good. I think the gameplay is fine. Talent design is interactions with El like Felgard and their kick mechanics. Nothing changed for Demonology. It is what it is. Uh, nothing to brag about either. Uh, their
[30:08] tier set's pretty boring. Blame White Toast when it comes to warlock caster Um, moving on next. Speaking of not really great, we have the destruction warlock. Um would have really loved some major changes to Warlock. When we're
[30:22] and gentlemen, I think these are specs that like I would love to see some drastic updates and changes in a new direction. And um destruction really is one of the worst in the entire game, season 1, and in season 2, they don't
[30:36] look good. Like I'm just going to be comfortably honest. I will say right off the bat, if you know anything about World of Warcraft and Mythic Plus and doing keys at a high level, their mass AOE damage is very, very good. It is
[30:49] very strong in Destruction Warlock. You can hit mil over a million DPS no problem on a couple polls in Midnight Season 1. The problem is their low target cleaves is one of, if not the worst in the entire game. And it just
[31:01] makes no sense to me that Destruction Warlock has that gameplay style. Like I want to just get rid of Rain of Fire and just toss out piss missiles when it comes to Chaos Bolt. Like I want Chaos Bolt to hit so damn hard that it feels
[31:16] Chaos Bolt. Do any of you guys remember that when Chaos Bolt came out into the game and you see this giant dragon flying across the battlefield like this dragon head and it's just the sound of it. I can hear the sound in my head.
[31:29] it. I can hear the sound in my head. Boom. It just nukes people. I want chaos bolt to feel like that again. And I want a way to not only like almost have it like how fire mage's ignite used to be with pyro blast where you just spam
[31:41] increases ignite damage and spreads ignite to everybody. I kind of want something like that for chaos bolt but when I spread it it just does splash AOE damage and maybe adds a little dot a debuff or something like I don't want to
[31:54] spam rain of fire on destruction. I want to use chaos bolt. I want to use chaos burn. I want to use like channel demon fire. I want to use my portals that can summon demons out and and and freaking, you know, all these big explosions.
[32:06] hoping for destruction to get some changes. Not only that, their tier set's at all. Moving on. Next, we have augmentation. I'm putting them in the before you ring my neck. Let's take a breath. I'm putting them in the loser
[32:20] category simply because their gameplay variants got worse heading into this new variants got worse heading into this new season. I don't think numerically, like off numbers right now. That's not what this is. So, if it was, augmentation
[32:33] would probably be in the A tier, but it isn't. We're talking about gameplay season. Biggest winners and losers list. I think augmentation is a loser. We got some massive changes to scale commander, how often you can, you know, cast your
[32:47] lot of procs, which allows you to cast your other abilities and get essence buff your abilities and stuff like that. So like I think augmentation got worse heading in the new season. Uh there could be a variance in in gameplay maybe
[33:01] tree. Chrono warden I think there could be an option for playing chronow now especially with the whole the the the tier set being maybe you know baked into option. I just don't think people like playing chron augmentation. They want to
[33:15] play skill commander. So I don't know. I think they are a loser. I think though. Utility is always S+ tier best in the game. their support spec and going to be in group content that's coordinated. So, moving on. Next, we
[33:28] have my least favorite rogue spec of all time. Probably my least favorite spec in the game of all time, Outlaw Rogue. Now, once again, I'm I'm I don't want to sound like a hater, but I'm going to be honest. I think I am a hater. Uh I
[33:40] played Outlaw in Midnight Season 1. I I did my twelves and I went about my day. I got my achievement and uh that was about it. Now, I'm going to be honest. Outlaw Rogue is just the highest APM spec in the entire game and it's
[33:53] exhausting to play. It's like really annoying if you want me to be quite honest. And not only that, it just feels like I don't know. I I'm tired of the whole gamble aspect of the of that that spec. Like I don't know about you guys,
[34:05] I miss Combat Rogue a little bit more. I I think it was like just a better, more simplified, modernized version of Outlaw. Outlaw is just high APM. My freaking hand hurts pressing all these buttons every two seconds. I got to
[34:19] replace my razor naga every five dungeon keys cuz I'm breaking my one key. I I will say the best thing about Outlaw Head in the new season is tier set bonus amongst some of the best in the entire game. Um they did get some slightly
[34:34] better updates. So I'm kind of memeing here. I I think they're in the slightly better category. Um but I I like their tier set. It gives them free dispatch about Outlaw Rogue, you want to use as
[34:46] combo points so you can get the cool down reduction on everything. If you get abilities, you can cast more abilities. Cast more abilities, which gives you faster cooldown reduction. Rinse and repeat. Um, I just I still don't like
[34:58] it. I think there's a reason Outlaw Rogue is the least played spec in the entire game, whether it be tank, healer, or DPS. It's a problem. I think it needs to get overhauled and changed. Moving on next, let's talk about subtlety rogue.
[35:10] Um, Subtlety Rogue, I'm going to be honest. I think season 1 of Midnight wasn't in an awful awful spot. I've I've played with some Subtlety Rogues that are absolutely disgusting. Like, they are they are good. Like, they'll pump.
[35:22] Um, heading into the new season, Blizzard decided to take some of their damage in their cooldown windows and try to give it outside of Subtlety Rogue's cooldown windows. And it's kind of weird because Subrogue is all about shadow
[35:35] dance. It's all about big giant shadow technique. and you know build up into uh shadow clone secret tech situations and you get really big burst windows out of that and it's really fun. Them kind of funneling damage out of that into
[35:51] outside of your cooldown windows feels like [ __ ] for sub and the damage is not good. Their identity is kind of missing now. I don't like it at all. So please go back maybe. I don't know. Uh definitely a loser. Um moving on next.
[36:05] Marksmanship hunter. This is uh this is not that good. I'm just going to be upfront. I I haven't played this spec much on the PTR. I went on Training Dummies for like 2 seconds and then I remembered, oh wait, I have to use 3
[36:18] seconds to cast my aim shot. And it's not fun. When you're in Mythic Plus, you move around a lot and you got to be very like hyperactive on what's going on pretty much on a second to second basis. Whether it be getting a kickoff, whether
[36:32] it be crowdcontrolling AoE knockups, whether it be dodging mechanic, whether it be popping a defense, like you have to be on a momentto- moment basis on the ball at a high level. And with marksman, they make it quite difficult when I have
[36:45] to sit here and cast a 3second cast aim shot and then into a multi-shot into a rapid fire into a multi-shot into aim shot. And it it the rotation is just not fun. Now, I will say I think people are enjoying the explosive shot gameplay
[36:58] variants of of that. Personally, I don't I don't like it. I don't like what they're doing with explosive shot. I'd rather just give me back my trick shots shot. And I think marksmanship will be booming again. Like I I don't I don't
[37:11] let me know what you guys think about that in the comment section below. And lastly, on the same tier as loser, I have to put Windalker. I man I think the problem with windalker is simply they didn't get changes to their hero
[37:25] talents. So conduit to celestials didn't get any updates so you're pretty much playing shadow pan mostly. Uh their tier set bonus is the two set is pretty much just terrible and their four set is kind of good for you know decent interactions
[37:38] between fist of fury rising sun rising sun kick. That's cool. And I will say right off the bat I don't think damagewise been terrible damage-wise. The problem is is brew master was meta season one.
[37:52] We're not going to double dip on monks, especially not a Windalker. If anything, windalker if we already have the mystic touch buff. So like, not only that, their defensive capability is one of, if not the worst in the entire video game.
[38:07] Very terrible defensive toolkit for a melee DPS. I like the mobility and all struggling compared to other melee DPS. Like I'm not going to take a Wind Walker if I have a Brew Master ever. Never,
[38:20] ever in a melee cleave comp. It'll never happen. And I don't think it's going to that's a problem right off rip. Their defensive capabilities are one of the meaningful updates heading in the new season. Sadly makes them a loser. But
[38:34] going to wrap up this video on the sort new season when it comes to all changes. I've been waiting to put out this video to see all of the major class updates and I think we just got the final major
[38:47] round of them this last week. So, this is what I got right now. Huge winner, losers. Let me know if you guys disagree or agree with it in the comment section planning on meaning heading a new season. My name is Sky for the Comeback
