"Title promises memecoin profits, but the video is just a basic wallet tutorial — useful, yet not about making money."

AI Summary

This tutorial explains how to use the Robinhood Wallet mobile app to buy and sell crypto tokens, including memecoins on the Robinhood chain, Solana, and ETH. The creator walks through downloading the app, securing a wallet backup, funding with USDC from a centralized exchange, swapping tokens with proper gas tokens, and sending funds back out. He also warns that meme coins are highly risky and will eventually go to zero.

[00:01]
App purpose and supported chains

Robinhood Wallet supports trading tokens on the Robinhood chain, Solana, ETH, and many other chains, making it more useful than just trading Robinhood tokens.

[00:13]
Meme coin risk warning

The creator states that all meme coins eventually go to zero, though you can make money on the way up.

[00:39]
Download and account creation

Step one is downloading the app called 'Robinhood Wallet Swap Crypto' and creating an account.

[01:08]
Secure manual backup

Avoid iCloud backup because it's unsafe if your iCloud gets hacked. Instead, write down the seed phrase on paper and store it where no one can see it.

[01:35]
Funding via centralized exchange

The 'deposit' function routes to sardine.ai, but the creator recommends buying crypto on Coinbase, Binance, OKX, or Bybit and sending it to the wallet via the Receive button.

[02:14]
Gas token requirement

You need the native gas token of the destination chain (ETH for EVM, SOL for Solana) to pay for swaps. Robinhood not covering this fee is called a 'huge fumble'.

[03:34]
Swap to ETH before buying Robinhood tokens

To buy CashCat on the Robinhood chain, you must first swap your USDC to ETH on the same chain because cross-chain swaps require the destination chain's gas token.

[04:25]
Search by contract address

Always search for tokens using the contract address instead of the token name to avoid scams.

[05:11]
Selling works the same way

Selling a token is identical to buying: tap Sell, select Max, and confirm. The app covers fees until September 29th.

[06:58]
Sending funds out

Use the Send button, paste a wallet address, enter an amount, and submit. Transferring on Solana is almost instant.

[07:39]
No direct bank withdrawals

The Robinhood Wallet app does not allow withdrawing to a bank account. You must send funds to a centralized exchange to cash out.

Despite the title, this is a practical walkthrough of using the Robinhood Wallet app. The key takeaway is to always have the correct gas token on the destination chain and to manage risk because meme coins are extremely speculative.

easy Click to reveal answer

They all go to zero eventually, though you can make money on the way up.

You need the native gas token of the destination chain (ETH on EVM, SOL on Solana) to pay transaction fees.

02:14

easy Click to reveal answer

CashCat.

03:07

[00:01] how to trade using the Robinhood Wallet mobile app. I assume most of you are watching this to trade Robinhood tokens, but you could trade tokens on Solana, on ETH, and a ton more chains. So, it's more useful than just trading Robinhood

[00:13] now, so I understand if that's your motivation. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another Crypto Gorilla video. As usual, I am not you how this tool works, but all meme coins are going to zero, okay?

[00:27] Eventually. You can make money on the way up. They all go down eventually. selling anything. Hit the subscribe button and the like button. It really helps my channel reach a wider audience, and I want to get to 100k subscribers,

[00:39] life goal of mine. So, help me do that. It's absolutely free, and let's jump right into today's video. So, step one is downloading the app. It's called Robinhood Wallet Swap Crypto. Very poor name. Uh once you got that, you're going

[00:52] to open up the app. It's going to prompt you to create an account. This might using. It's also going to ask if you want to back up your account. If you just click on the little hamburger on the top left, and right here, backups

[01:08] and security. We could click on my wallet. I don't like that they suggest this is not safe at all if your iCloud gets hacked. So, instead, I do it manually. You write it down on a piece of paper. You store it away where no one

[01:21] will ever see it. If someone sees this, they have access to your money, okay? lost in a flood or a mudslide. Whatever Then, we're going to head back to the home page cuz we're ready to start. Now,

[01:35] the next step is going to be to deposit funds, which can be misleading because the word deposit here isn't actually depositing. It is buying. So, let's say I want to buy USDC, it's going to take me to some random website called

[01:47] sardine.ai. I have no idea what this is. It might be a very good company, but personally, I buy my crypto on a centralized exchange like Coinbase, Binance, OKX, Bybit, whichever one you want that's legal in

[02:00] your jurisdiction. I buy my money or my crypto on a centralized exchange, then I send it into my Robinhood wallet app. So, to do that, you're going to click on receive. You're going to pick the currency that you want. Let's say USDC,

[02:14] gas tokens. If you trade ETH, you're going to need ETH. If you trade on SOL, frustrating, huge fumble by the Robinhood team not covering that fee or like charging you that fee to do that

[02:27] and allowing you to do cross-chain swaps without the gas token. Extremely frustrating, but uh let's just keep going. So, you pick the chain, Solana or EVM. So, you copy the wallet address at the bottom with your

[02:40] external wallet. You send the funds into here. It is going to arrive very quickly Bitcoin, it's going to take 10-20 minutes, but Solana ETH, it's going to be almost instant. And you can see I have the money in my wallet already. So,

[02:53] now I am ready to make a swap. Now, like I said, most of you are probably going to want to buy coins on the Robinhood chain. The frustrating thing about this, let's just go and find CashCat, which is the main coin on Robinhood chain right

[03:07] the main coin on Robinhood chain right now. If I do buy and then I pick uh Solana USDC, the money that I transferred on, let's do 25%. They tell Cool, I'm fine with that. It's like 28 cents, whatever. I do continue, there's

[03:22] not enough liquidity. Do the the swap for me. Do the swap for Do the the swap for me. Do the swap for me into ETH on Robinhood and and it'll be so much better. They don't do that. So, instead, what I have to do is I

[03:34] first have to swap my money for Ethereum on the Robinhood chain. So, let's go ahead and do that. I'm going to pick 25% again. It's going to tell me, let's do don't show this again, that there's extra fees for cross-chain swaps. I

[03:46] don't mind. Again, it's going to be like 20 something Yeah, 29 cents, no no deal. Then, swipe up to swap. I'm swiping up. It's going to do the swap for me, and done. Very fast. Let's do skip. If we go back to the home page, we can see that

[03:59] transaction is currently pending, so I'm waiting for it to go through, and hopefully it goes through fast. And there you go, it has gone through, even though Okay, it took a second to reflect in my wallet. Now, I'm back to my $100,

[04:11] and I see right here received. It took like 60 seconds to get that. No big deal. So, now we're able to go ahead and swap. to click on you want to search tokens, you could search them at the bottom here, and you

[04:25] know, search a coin, whatever you want, Cash Cat, but much simpler and safer, always search with a contract address, and not with the token name. Let's just go ahead and click Cash Cat on the home page, and from here, I can click on buy.

[04:39] Now, I have ETH, so I'm able to do Hey, let's max buy with all my ETH. It's going to give me a quote. I'm going to once again pay fees, something like 19 once again pay fees, something like 19 cents, not bad, and let's swipe up.

[04:56] go to the home page and see Yeah, pending. I like instant trading. And and the Robinhood chain is extremely quick, so it's kind of frustrating that the app that one went through a little bit faster. It took something like 35

[05:11] So, that's how you buy tokens. If you want to sell, it's going to be the exact same thing. Now that I own, you could see here I own some Cash Cat. I can option. So, let's go ahead and click sell, and I want to see something, cuz I

[05:27] no longer have ETH on Robinhood left, which is the gas token, but they are which is the gas token, but they are paying your fees until September 29th, they're going to let me do it. I'm going to click on max here to sell. Oh, they

[05:40] tried to swap something on Solana, and I couldn't, cuz I didn't have any SOL, and it was very frustrating. So, that's how you easily buy and sell tokens in the Robinhood Wallet mobile app. There's a few other things you can do in this app,

[05:53] like trading perps. This is longing and shorting a a stock or crypto. There's also tokenized stocks in here. As you can see, there's SanDisk, there's Intel, and a bunch of others. Unfortunately, I wanted to show you guys how to do this,

[06:06] but if I try to add funds, it is not available in my region, even with a VPN. Not that I tried that, that would, you know, even with a VPN, it's not working. on trading perps. If you want to see those, just uh

[06:20] check my channel. And then, other than that, the other thing is you could explore different DeFi apps, right? There's DeFi, you could earn, um there's like social apps here. So, if you would click one of these, it's going to take

[06:32] you to the app within the wallet. We're not going to go through this, cuz each app is different, but you would basically connect your wallet, and then you are able to do different things, like stake your money and earn a yield,

[06:45] or, you know, use bridges, or socials, or whatever whatever floats your boat. or whatever whatever floats your boat. So, that's the basis of using this app. your money out, you would just click on the send button. You would pick the

[06:58] funds that you want to send. So, in this case, let's say I want to get my USDC Here, they're asking for my camera access, or just paste a wallet address. So, here, I would do enter address. So, let me go ahead and do that, and then

[07:14] I'm going to click continue. I'm going to have to enter the amount. Let me uh send all. Thankfully, let me do that. Um yeah, accept and continue. And then, yeah, accept and continue. And then, from here, I do submit, and it should be

[07:26] very fast. It's on the Solana chain, so it should be extremely quickly for me to receive my funds. And voilà, they are gone. So, very fast. I'm just going to check on the other end that I got my money, and

[07:39] um yes, I just got it. Perfect. So, really quick, very simple to use. I know I withdraw to my bank account? It doesn't seem like you could do this going to have to send your funds to a centralized exchange, again, like

[07:54] use, and then from there, those apps tend to let you withdraw to your bank account. That's it for today's tutorial. useful. If you did, be sure to give it a thumbs up. Hit subscribe. Trying to get

[08:07] to 100k. That's a lifelong dream of mine. Uh, really helps me out and it's Nobody will know. It'll be our little secret. If there's another tutorial you want, or if you have any questions about the Robinhood wallet, let me know in the

[08:19] comment section down below and I will answer you, even if it's been a year. I will answer you. I read these comments daily and my OCD will not let me not answer you. So, thank you for watching another Crypto Gorilla video.
