Most Powerful BMW M3 EVER vs Audi R8 GT: DRAG RACE

[00:01] What will win in a drag race between the ultimate BMW M3, [music] this M3 CS Touring, and the ultimate Audi R8, the R8 GT? Well, I'm going to find out by mile. I'm Mat Watson, you're watching Carwow.

[02:07] race. We're going to do it from 50 mph, cars in automatic mode. They're in chill mode, so they're most relaxed settings, as if you're cruising along and then going to do 3 2 1 go. We're going to race to the half mile. You got it?

[02:20] >> I do have it, and you are the exact type of person who would challenge this car to a race, aren't you? >> Because I'm that big an idiot. 3 2 1 go.

[02:51] Oh, no. My car is definitely heavier than his. And you can see it there. He's got more power, less weight.

[03:20] it's the ultimate R8 cuz it's the GT, I think that your most relaxed mode is never fully relaxed. This is just a family estate car. think we both dropped gears at the same time, but this is 300 kilos lighter than

[14:54] the [music] standing quarter mile in 11.1 seconds. In the rear-wheel drive race, without using launch control, the Audi won. It completed the standing quarter mile in 11.6 [music] seconds. The BMW took 11.8 seconds.
