NEW Gas Charger vs M4 Comp vs RS3 // DRAG RACE

[00:00] What happens when Dodge releases a new muscle car with the exact same engine style as the

[00:14] latest BMW M-car, a twin turbo in line 6? But with more horsepower, surely you would be silly to try to go toe-to-toe with the Germans, right? You'd probably worry that people might put them

[00:27] side by side in a drag race, and maybe they'd even bring out a smaller, way less powerful German car with fewer cylinders as a bit of a litmus test. It would be insane to think that people wouldn't

[00:39] be curious what would happen here. What if the Dodge loses? That would be terrible. Well, we certainly wouldn't do it. Look at that. The most powerful car of the three in this weird cross section of

[01:01] enthusiastic cars. It's a Mishmash, we know. Just want to place that charger, just trying to get my head around it because it's so heavy, and those turbo chargers might as well be party poppers on the back of an Abrams tank. Alright, I got everything set up. It took me a while, but I got it figured out.

[01:16] There is a drag mode, but you have to double click this drive mode button, and then toggle really quickly, and you'll get drag and track, so I've got it set up, so I got my launch control set at 3200RPM. I've got all-wheel drive. This is the best chance a charger has ever had against cars like these.

[01:41] 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, go! Whoa, whoa, oh, it's so quick, the R3! I'm dumb. I am the slower of the three cars in this

[02:02] race. It's so car, there goes the M4! By a lot, actually. This is a rocket, and there's the charger in my wing mirror!

[02:20] Wow, we, I did not think I'd say that close to the M4.

[02:35] What a launch, the Germans are so cheeky with their launches. I wonder if that charger's got more in it on a roll. Hey, we saw mathematics in action,

[02:47] yeah, lack of weight off the line, M4 catching, the horsepower takes the lead, but when did horsepower take the lead for you? It didn't, it didn't, yeah. It is something to do with

[03:01] the weight, and maybe aerodynamics. It's still a roll race, and the transmission, and the power delivery. They're looking at it, eh? Yeah, no, it's good. It's so orange, it's so orange.

[04:22] This is a confession booth right now. Forgive me, Father Ryerson, and it didn't, f-ing matter. They were almost matched for a minute there, but the R3. I wasn't sure if the 550 horsepower

[04:34] just, but you weren't creeping at all. No, I wasn't. No, I was losing. You were creeping. Yes. Right, you're the creeper here. I'm a creep. Yeah. I did the creep. You know what, the RS3 is a formidable foe, and that's not the hellcat if there is one coming.

[04:52] That's just the skat pack, which, and I think, that's much closer than I think a normal V8 skat pack from the previous gen would have been to an RS3. I don't know, I don't know what to

[05:05] make about this. It's, it's, it feels like it needs some work, no matter what you do. Maybe it just needs a V8. I was going to say, it just needs a V8.

[05:17] Just stick a V8 in it, and I'll just go, I don't care because it's fun. You know what I mean? Yeah, okay. Well, I would say well-raised, but you cheated. I cheated fully in, yeah. That M4 is quick. Yeah, yes. Why does it look good?

[05:47] It is not growing on me. It has not grown on me. The sedan may be a bit. That one, no. Well, whether the M4 has grown on Thomas or not, it's clearly the performer of the three,

[06:01] with the Audi in second. So yeah, while the BMW and Audi are German-carrying harder than ever, the Dodge attempts the same feet and falls short. Just like Humpty Dumpty,
