[7:06][00:00] hello everyone and welcome back to my
[00:01] channel
[00:02] [Music]
[00:08] it's time for another netflix
[00:09] recommendation video i did this video
[00:11] like two years ago if you want to see
[00:13] part one i'll put a little eye right
[00:15] here i'm gonna divide it the same way as
[00:16] i did last time the first is comedy then
[00:19] drama then like horror slash sci-fi then
[00:22] crime and then like food shows this is a
[00:25] list of 20 netflix tv shows and movies
[00:28] that you guys can watch in the summer
[00:29] i'm going to start off with comedy and
[00:31] the first show for comedy is young and
[00:32] hungry this show started in like 2015
[00:35] 2016 but this is a great show to cheer
[00:37] you up it's like a very light comedy it
[00:39] basically follows this girl who starts a
[00:41] new job at this like fancy place as like
[00:44] a personal chef to somebody and i'm not
[00:46] gonna really spoil anything but it's
[00:48] really interesting the dynamics that
[00:50] play out while she's at this job and
[00:52] it's a really good lightweight show to
[00:53] watch at any time of the day so i
[00:55] definitely recommend this one next is
[00:57] everything sucks this is technically
[00:59] like a dramedy but i'm just gonna put it
[01:01] in the comedy because i have a lot in
[01:02] the drama section this show takes place
[01:04] in the 90s and it's a comedy about this
[01:06] girl who moves into this new school and
[01:08] the principal is her dad so there's a
[01:10] really funny dynamic between them as
[01:12] well as the new people that she meets at
[01:15] the school there are romantic interests
[01:16] in this show and it's really cool how
[01:18] their relationships change this one is
[01:20] really really good it has a very
[01:21] specific aesthetic which i really enjoy
[01:24] so definitely recommend this one this
[01:25] next one is anola homes this one is
[01:28] about a character obviously called enola
[01:29] homes it's basically the sister of
[01:31] sherlock holmes and it follows her story
[01:34] of how she grew up next to him and her
[01:35] relationship with her mother and
[01:37] basically the whole show is her trying
[01:39] to find her mother because she
[01:40] disappeared one day it has its very
[01:42] funny moments this is a little bit of
[01:44] action too so i love this one okay this
[01:46] is another show dramedy but i'm gonna
[01:48] put it in the section this one's a
[01:50] mouthful it's called the woman in the
[01:51] house across the street from the girl in
[01:53] the window i think i got that right when
[01:56] you watch the first couple episodes you
[01:57] think it's a dramatic mystery show then
[02:00] i think towards the end you find out
[02:02] that it's actually a comedy the comedy
[02:04] comes from over dramaticizing very like
[02:06] stereotypical things that happen in like
[02:09] mysterious shows like a million people
[02:11] die she suspects that so many people
[02:13] killed her neighbor like it's so funny
[02:16] because she goes through so many rounds
[02:18] of like trying to figure things out and
[02:20] the way it's shot is actually really
[02:22] funny and i didn't really realize it was
[02:24] a comedy until like a couple episodes in
[02:26] i'm like wait this is there's no way
[02:28] that she suspects like five people at
[02:30] the same time like this is so funny it's
[02:32] supposed to be like this parody show of
[02:34] the women in the window it's a very like
[02:36] over dramaticized comedic version of
[02:38] that hence the very long name so yeah
[02:40] this one is really funny i definitely
[02:42] recommend it okay moving on to drama so
[02:44] for the first show for drama is
[02:46] obviously stranger things i already
[02:48] mentioned this one in my last video but
[02:50] i feel like i want to re-mention it
[02:51] because a new season came out literally
[02:53] today like i have to watch it this is my
[02:55] absolute favorite show in the world if
[02:56] you guys haven't catched up with
[02:58] stranger things season 4 came out so i'm
[03:00] very excited if you don't know what
[03:02] stranger things is it's basically a show
[03:04] that's set in the 1980s it's a show
[03:06] following a group of kids and one of the
[03:08] kids goes missing and they try to find
[03:10] their friend that went missing everyone
[03:12] in the town thinks somebody just like
[03:13] kidnapped him or something happened but
[03:16] there's a very underlying sci-fi
[03:18] mysterious way of how this child
[03:20] disappeared so it's really cool and
[03:22] interesting and it sounds very different
[03:24] from what the show is now in the first
[03:26] season that's basically what it's about
[03:27] so if you guys are interested definitely
[03:29] watch this show the chilling adventures
[03:31] of sabrina this one is a very like nice
[03:34] show to watch around halloween time i
[03:36] feel like i only watch it during
[03:37] halloween time like i will wait a couple
[03:39] of months even though it came out to
[03:41] watch it around halloween time because
[03:42] it's so nostalgically halloween for me
[03:45] it's basically like another revamp of
[03:47] sabrina the teenage witch follows her
[03:49] and her family and how she's dealing
[03:50] with being a witch but also being like a
[03:52] high school student so it's basically
[03:54] around the same synopsis as sabrina the
[03:56] teenage witch but it's definitely
[03:58] changed over time so i think there's
[04:00] like three or four seasons up already i
[04:02] think there's three so definitely watch
[04:04] this one i think you guys were waiting
[04:05] for this one squid games you've probably
[04:07] heard of this show before it got really
[04:09] big it's basically a show of a group of
[04:12] people who live in korea and want to
[04:14] earn more money addicted to gambling and
[04:16] so they get into this very shady game to
[04:19] win money and it just gets very
[04:22] aggressive to say the least feel like i
[04:24] can't say anymore without spoiling
[04:25] anything i definitely recommend watching
[04:27] it with just english subtitles because
[04:29] it's all in korean i feel like it takes
[04:31] away a little bit of like the acting
[04:33] there's just something about hearing
[04:34] like their actual voice that makes you
[04:36] understand the show better i definitely
[04:38] recommend watching it with english
[04:39] subtitles another show that i was
[04:41] obsessed with a year ago was the queen's
[04:43] gambit it basically follows the story of
[04:45] this girl who was in an orphanage and
[04:48] became very good at chess she was sort
[04:50] of this child prodigy in chess it's
[04:52] really good i don't know what else to
[04:54] say but yeah i definitely recommend
[04:55] watching it this one is a movie it's
[04:57] forrest gump it's on netflix uh i feel
[04:59] like i just wanted to mention this i
[05:01] feel like a lot of people know this
[05:02] movie already but it's one of tom hanks
[05:04] very famous movies and if you guys want
[05:06] to catch up on an oldie it's on netflix
[05:08] now so just wanted to mention it this
[05:10] next one is called the society this is a
[05:12] dramatic show about a group of kids who
[05:15] go on a bus to go on a field trip and
[05:17] they eventually come back to the town
[05:19] and all of their family and friends are
[05:21] missing you can watch it in like a day
[05:22] so definitely recommend this show so
[05:24] this next one is bergerton it's
[05:26] obviously very popular any of you guys
[05:28] haven't watched it what are you doing i
[05:30] love the aesthetic in the show it's
[05:32] beautiful it's like it's chef's kiss the
[05:35] colors the costumes it takes place like
[05:37] in the early 1800s it follows this girl
[05:40] trying to find a husband in the social
[05:42] season of the 1800s in london so yes i
[05:45] love the show definitely watch it and
[05:47] that is it for drama so i want to
[05:49] mention a few documentaries here the
[05:51] first one is called the social dilemma
[05:53] you guys have probably heard about this
[05:54] one it got really big but it's basically
[05:56] about the actual impact that social
[05:58] media has had in our politics and in our
[06:01] world today how our phones are actually
[06:03] tracking us the people actually talking
[06:05] in this documentary are people who have
[06:06] worked a very high profile companies so
[06:09] i think it's good to know like what
[06:11] exactly you're getting yourself into
[06:12] living in your like day-to-day life so
[06:14] definitely recommend watching this one
[06:16] so this next show is called explained
[06:18] basically a show with every episode
[06:21] talking about a different topic and it
[06:22] basically explains like the whole
[06:24] backstory of that certain topic and how
[06:26] it affects society how it came about it
[06:29] talks about cults it talks about like
[06:31] the impact of sugar in foods like it has
[06:33] a very large range of topics to talk
[06:35] about but but it's basically mostly like
[06:37] scientific and the very specific like
[06:40] aspects of that certain topic so it's
[06:42] very cool and interesting i definitely
[06:44] recommend this one i feel like i've said
[06:46] that so many times this next one is how
[06:48] to become a tyrant so this one is a good
[06:50] like history lesson i love it talks
[06:52] about like all of the tyrants that have
[06:54] lived and gotten really popular and very
[06:57] powerful within like human existence it
[06:59] basically talks about how they became
[07:02] that influential basically a huge
[07:04] history lesson it's really good okay so
[07:06] now moving on to the sci-fi horror crime
[07:08] documentary part so this movie is really
[07:10] interesting i just randomly found it on
[07:12] netflix scrolling for like hours it was
[07:14] really good and i decided to put it in
[07:16] this video this one is called what
[07:17] happened to monday and monday is the
[07:20] name of a character it's a very
[07:21] dystopian america society where you can
[07:24] only have one kid and it's very strict
[07:27] rules and how everybody is trapped and
[07:29] very heavily surveillance this woman is
[07:31] pregnant with seven kids so she had a
[07:34] multiple birth which is insane seven
[07:36] kids and they're all girls and they all
[07:37] look exactly the same so what they
[07:39] decided to do in order to stay with
[07:41] their seven kids they decide to name all
[07:43] of the kids each day of the week and
[07:46] each day of that week that kid will go
[07:48] out as like the only like kid of the
[07:50] family so yeah definitely recommend this
[07:52] one okay so moving on to the crime
[07:54] documentary part of this the first one
[07:56] is called night stalker i really had
[07:59] huge nightmares about this one this one
[08:01] is actually really scary because it
[08:02] talks about like a specific event i get
[08:05] so creeped out but i keep watching them
[08:07] and i don't know why i keep putting
[08:09] myself through this misery but it's so
[08:11] good it's really interesting i love the
[08:13] editing it's really creepy but it's
[08:14] really good another one that's really
[08:15] interesting and really good it's called
[08:17] the vanishing of the ciso hotel this is
[08:19] a hotel in la that is like really creepy
[08:22] it's kind of like a motel now i think in
[08:24] 2013 somebody disappeared there and it's
[08:26] talking about that disappearance and how
[08:28] it's really creepy it's a very
[08:29] interesting watch so let me know if you
[08:31] guys watch it this is another crime
[08:32] documentary it's called the times square
[08:35] it's basically a career that was on the
[08:36] loose i think back in the 70s in times
[08:38] square this guy kept getting away with
[08:40] all these people and then at the end of
[08:42] the day he got caught in a very silly
[08:44] way so now i'm gonna move on to reality
[08:46] food shows i have two reality shows this
[08:49] one is a home organizing video so it's
[08:51] very on brand for me this one is called
[08:53] get organized the home edits so it's
[08:55] basically a group of two girls who have
[08:58] this company called the home edit and
[08:59] they go to different people's houses and
[09:01] they organize their entire house or like
[09:03] a portion of their house and they have
[09:05] like very high profile people they go to
[09:07] so like there's this episode about like
[09:09] them organizing reese witherspoon's
[09:11] house and they can organize like an area
[09:13] or a very specific area it has a very
[09:15] big range very satisfying watching this
[09:18] this show definitely influenced how i
[09:20] organized this room right now i
[09:22] definitely recommend this one so this
[09:23] next one is called glow up it's a
[09:25] reality show following a group of makeup
[09:27] artists that have to go through
[09:29] different rounds of makeup competitions
[09:31] every episode they get rid of a makeup
[09:34] artist and reduce the competition until
[09:36] there's one final winner and that's
[09:38] basically the winner of the specific
[09:40] season and i think they have like two
[09:42] seasons or three seasons so it's a lot
[09:44] of bingeable worthy content so i
[09:46] recommend it okay everyone so that's the
[09:48] end of this video there were a lot of
[09:49] shows in this video but i really hope
[09:51] you guys found one that you at least
[09:53] found interesting to watch leave it in
