Sneaker Scalpers Losing Big — Full Breakdown & Transcript

[00:12] That is music to my ears. Love to see scalpers suffering. I just recently made a video celebrating the Pokemon scalpers' agony after they received the people's elbow from 30th anniversary.

[00:25] How it's been like a catastrophic financial hit for a lot of those degenerate worm resellers, these pathetic fucking losers, the swine, in that their misery is everyone else's pleasure.

[00:38] And I think it is a tremendous thing, and they continue to lose big time in the Pokemon community. What I didn't know is that scalpers in other areas are also starting to take catastrophic hits.

[00:50] And that's when this video comes into the fold, said to me by the mythical YouTube algorithm, but it got me exactly what I wanted to see, what I needed to see. Drug straight to my veins, mainlining it here.

[01:04] More resellers being biblically smacked down. You see, back when I was in high school, it was easier to get different shoes because there's actually a queue that was physical.

[01:16] You would get a ticket if you got the pre-order, go into a line, and then get the shoes that way. Nowadays, or within 2016 through now, a lot of the pre-order shoes are done online, which is what these sneaker reselling companies did and took advantage of

[01:31] so that they can get limited drops and be the quickest ones to get there by botting the sites and getting all of the spots so that no average person who was just looking casually could get those shoes.

[01:43] The products change, but the methods stay the same. The scalpers are all just like this universal petri dish, this disgusting little bacteria, this fungus, really, and they do the exact same practices

[01:57] across multiple spaces. So, just like in Pokemon, apparently in the sneaker community, people were botting the new releases and shit like that, camping out and kicking normal people out of the hobby and then charging huge markup. The standard playbook here. Now, I'm not a

[02:13] big shoe guy. I think that's pretty obvious, considering I am perpetually sporting exclusively Skechers. Fucking Skechers. Those are shoes worn by like five-year-olds and 85-year-olds and no one

[02:27] in between. But they're very comfortable, so I like them. So I'm not in this community. I know nothing about sneaker resellers, but what I do know is scalpers, and I really love to celebrate

[02:41] their misery. So, learning that so many of these sneaker resellers are suffering brings me immense joy, and I want to share that with all of you. Back about a year ago, Cool Kicks, their warehouse,

[02:56] actually got raided, and the FBI found two million dollars worth of stolen shoes from the Nike factory. After that, the Cool Kicks owners were arrested, and that trust between the consumer and resellers completely vanished. I vaguely remember hearing about that loosely

[03:12] because I've been deep into like what not scams. I only just heard about what not maybe less than a year ago with like scammers on what not but there are like legitimate sellers on there and Cool Kicks was from what I recall one that got talked about a lot in that space And then I remember they got into some super hot water

[03:33] I didn't remember it being to the tune of an FBI investigation uncovering a couple million worth of stolen merchandise, though. But that sounds about par for the course. There is no load this vermin won't sink to.

[03:46] And also, the fact that there was ever any trust between consumer and reseller is an affront to God. You should never be trusting a fucking scalper in the first place. You are getting hosed. You are a victim there. There's no trust. You're being

[04:04] abused. About two weeks ago, I saw Remy make a video. He's one of the Cool Kicks owners, and he made a video pretty much saying that his business is going under, and it's been very terrible ever since the time that they got ready. We've been quiet for this entire

[04:17] time, but I think it's time for us to set the record straight. As you guys recall, last October 2025, our warehouse that we had in Santa Monica for live selling was raided with LAPD. A lot of things have been lost in the headlines and the conversation that followed

[04:30] the raid from the beginning, but there have been no criminal charges filed against me or Cool Kicks, none whatsoever. This is very important because the events that followed after the raid affected our business drastically. Something we built over the last 10 years

[04:44] literally in a matter of seconds just went collapsing. It is deplorable that his business didn't collapse before this. It should have been in the dirt years ago. I was looking at some of the prices.

[04:56] They were charging for shit. It's criminal. They should have been arrested for that. They shouldn't have even had a business that prospered for as long as it did. Like, come on. It shouldn't have even taken the raid here to get people to wake up

[05:09] or what a fucking baloney, what a hogwash this garbage is. Cool Kicks should have sank eons ago. Complete trash business. He looks like a complete douchebag from all the clips I've seen.

[05:23] Everyone associated with Cool Kicks, like the selling of it, looks like an insufferable little asshole. Like, oh, come on, man. It is shameful and downright embarrassing that he is earnestly trying to, you know,

[05:35] order some French fries here as the Wambulance pulls up telling his sob story about how now his business is suffering because of the raid there and people don't understand. It's ruined 10 years of goodwill. What goodwill? No one respects you and if they do,

[05:50] they're wrong for respecting you. After the raid, a bunch of major media outlets published a lot of false and misleading statements about the business and myself. People saw videos of the police department at our warehouse. They saw headlines of counter for goods, stolen goods, and all these viral posts

[06:05] spread across social media making assumptions about what actually had happened. Four weeks later, a number of Nike employees were charged in Memphis for stealing products. A former colleague and friend, Barakat Abraham, was charged for being involved.

[06:17] I hope the charges against him are not true, and he has the opportunity to clear his name. But Barma and Dymant Cool Kicks decided to part ways with him. This is a new chapter for Cool Kicks. We've been knocked down many times before. And every time, we come back stronger.

[06:30] How about don't? Just stay down. This isn't some triumphant inspirational tale like a phoenix rising from the ashes. This is a cockroach rising from the shit. The last thing people

[06:57] But this is all they know. All they know is reselling with crazy fucking markups to exploit you. So they're going to keep trying, obviously. But it's your decision to keep supporting them. And it's the wrong decision to be making.

[07:10] This time will be no different. Now, I like how he blames you, the consumer, and me the consumer for not going to their website or buying stuff directly from them. As if it's our fault that one, he got raided and his trust between him and us got broken.

[07:25] It's also crazy to me because you can't blame the consumer for something that happened to you because of your mishandlings of your own business. That is so true. It's such a good point. Cool kink goobers coming out like, you guys don't get it.

[07:40] And now we're suffering because of this raid, and you guys just don't trust us anymore. Why? What's going on? This makes no sense. You got to come back. Come on. Like, what the fuck? It's your fault. It's your fault. You have a terrible business, and you have terrible business partners.

[07:54] You got bad friends. Why are you blaming anyone but yourself? Boo-hoo, your business is suffering. Man, I've been running a shoe store for the last eight years of my life. My entire adult life, basically, I've been a successful sneaker reseller.

[08:08] I just want to hop on here and say something, man. The shoe game is cooked right now. The resale is completely dead, man. It's like every single release is starting to break. And it's making it hard as a shoe store owner because, you know, normally back in the day, you'd buy every single release.

[08:27] You'd market up a couple bucks. Everybody can make some money. I could even buy it off of other resellers at a market price, market up more. My customers didn't really care to pay a premium because they just want the product the sneaker hype was so

[09:33] because by the time I pay a certain price, and I'm sorry, it's just $300, you don't want to pay $300 for a sneaker that's $170 online. No shit, idiot. Like, yes, this is a good thing.

[09:59] Come back to reality. The scalpers exist in like this completely delusional plane and have been able to get away with this shit for way too long. It doesn't make any sense. So yeah man it just a small rant but it like the shoe game It like these big brands are pushing out the resellers There nothing wrong with that in a way You know everybody wants to pay

[10:22] the best price for products, but at the end of the day, we are business owners. We are people who have kind of like fulfilled a need for a long time in a certain space. And it's getting weird, bro. It's getting to the point where

[10:34] it's like, what do we do? Leave. That's what you do. Quit. They're pushing you out long overdue, by the way. so get the fuck out. That way, consumers can get the product

[10:46] at a more reasonable price. Like, you actually tickled there for a second. Like, you were, like, really close. Like, yeah, that is the goal. That the product ends up in hands of people that actually want it and pay a proper price for it

[10:58] as opposed to having to interact with you rodents here that are going to be doing crazy markups to exploit that through scarcity and through hype where you guys are going to be buying it and sitting on the entire kit and caboodle

[11:10] making it difficult for them to get it outside of you. Thus, you can charge more for it. It's exploitative. It sucks. No one likes scalpers for a reason. So you being pushed out here is a wonderful thing. So you're saying that was good for everybody

[11:22] when you would buy these shoes and mark it up for a couple bucks and nobody cared back in the day. People did care, but there's no way to actually get those shoes. And the sneaker culture as a whole was at its peak.

[11:34] Now you're trying to say that people aren't trying to spend their money, which is true and you want people to feel bad for you or want people to come into the shop but if i remember correctly back in the day you weren't marking it up a couple bucks you were

[11:47] marking it up a ton so that you made a lot of profit instead of just a small amount yeah all of the scalpers are usually trying bang on that drum like oh we only mark it up like a little bit like you know we're doing this for the community we're doing it for you guys like you know we're

[12:02] not trying to hose you down or anything, but the markups are significant. Again, I'm pretty unfamiliar with the sneaker space, so I will trust the YouTuber here saying that they were marking it up a lot. That is standard procedure for scalpers. When they say they mark it up

[12:18] like a couple bucks, it's usually like fucking tons because they are trying to maximize the amount of money they can make off it because they have the product that people can't get otherwise. So then they do pay that premium, that markup, and they try and get that for as much as

[12:33] they possibly can. And so it's bad. Resellers destroy everything that used to be a hobby for people like me and you to go to the store and get a shoe collection without breaking the bank to do

[12:45] so. Sellers are a plague. These resellers are legitimately a plague. And it's been festering for too long. And now, seeing what's happening in the sneaker community,

[12:57] at least through this YouTube video as well as another one I watched, kind of going over how dire it is for these reselling companies, it's showing signs of finally improving.

[13:10] Finally, this is starting to become less normalized. So, like I said, we're 30th anniversary in Pokemon. Scalpers have been losing big time there for the most part. It's still not perfect there. There are some scalpers still making money through that, but significantly less than we have been seeing over the last year and some change.

[13:29] And now, in the sneaker community, it seems to be a similar song where a lot of these scalpers are also suffering. So, just really great stuff. I wanted to celebrate that. This is a good video here, and that's really about it.
