This video explains why 97% of sports bettors lose money and introduces the LineMaker method, which focuses on betting mispriced heavy favorites. The presenter, Frank, breaks down how odds work, the importance of implied probability, and provides a step-by-step action plan to achieve consistent wins.
Sports betting is not about picking winners but betting against a line set by the sportsbook. The goal is to find mispriced lines where the real probability is higher than the odds suggest.
Minus odds (e.g., -300) indicate favorites and show how much you need to bet to win $100. They also imply a probability: -150 = 60%, -200 = 66%, -300 = 75%, -500 = 83%.
The method identifies heavy favorites where the sportsbook's implied probability (e.g., 75%) is lower than the actual probability (e.g., 85%). This 10% gap is where profit comes from.
The vig (juice) ensures the sportsbook profits regardless of outcome. For example, collecting $220 and paying $210 keeps $10. At -110, you need 52.4% to break even.
The LineMaker method wins 80-85% of bets, well above the 75% break-even at -300. This consistency builds bankrolls without wild swings.
Mistakes include no bankroll plan, chasing losses, betting every game, following pick sellers, and betting underdogs/parlays. These destroy bankrolls.
1. Set a bankroll. 2. Set unit size (1-5%). 3. Open multiple sportsbook accounts. 4. Start a tracking sheet. 5. Stop parlays and random underdogs. 6. Learn the LineMaker method.
By focusing on mispriced heavy favorites and disciplined bankroll management, you can achieve a consistent win rate of 80-85% and join the 3% of profitable sports bettors.

16:29[00:01] That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Roughly 97% of sports bettors lose money over time. And the reason they lose isn't bad luck, it's because nobody ever taught them how the game actually works. I'm Frank and I run LineMaker Sports,
[00:15] the number one sports betting education program in the world. I've spent over 5 years developing a method that wins by betting heavy favorites, not underdogs, not parlays, not coin flip spreads. Heavy favorites that the sports books
[00:29] have mispriced. In the next 10 to 20 minutes, I'm going to teach you everything you need to know about sports betting from scratch. How the odds work, why most strategies fail, and how the LineMaker method flips the entire game
[00:43] in your favor. If you're brand new to betting or if you've been betting for you're not profitable, this is the video that changes everything. So, let's go ahead and get started from zero. At its
[00:55] money on something you think is going to happen in a game. But, here's what most people mess up before they even start. They think sports betting is about picking winners. It's not. Sports betting is about betting against a
[01:08] number. The number is called the line. The sports book sets it and your only The sports book sets it and your only job, your only job, is to figure out if that number is right or wrong. Think about it like shopping. You walk into a
[01:20] store and you see a TV that's worth 800 bucks. The store has it marked at 500. Do you buy it? Well, obviously, because you know the real value is higher than the price. And that's what we do at LineMaker Sports. We find games where
[01:33] on the outcome, where the real probability is higher than the odds say. That gap between the real value and the price, that's where every dollar profit comes from. Now, most bettors never think this way. They just pick the team
[01:47] that they think is going to win and they hope for the best. That's not betting, that's gambling, and there's a massive difference. Before you can find wrong price tags, you need to understand how price tags work. In sports betting, the
[01:59] price tag is called the odds. Let me break this down as simple as possible. A minus number means a favorite. The sports book thinks this team is more likely to win. The number tells you how much you need to bet to win $100. So,
[02:12] minus 300, you bet 300 to win $100. If you win, then guess what? You get your $300 back plus your 100. If it misses, then you lose 300. As with other bets like minus 150, if you put 150 down, then you win 100. Minus 200, you put 200
[02:27] down, you win 100. Minus 500, you put 500 down, you win 100. Now, I know what you guys are thinking. Frank, why would I risk $300 to win 100 bucks? That randomly betting favorites with no edge, yeah, it is terrible. But, here's what's
[02:43] changed everything. Every minus number is telling you a probability. The sports think this is going to happen." To sum that up, a minus 150, that's a 60% chance. A minus 200, sports book thinks 66% chance. A minus 300, 75% chance. And
[03:01] a minus 500, 83% chance. So, when you see minus 300, the sports book is saying that this outcome has a 75% chance of happening. And most of the time, they're betting favorites. They're paying full price for something that's priced
[03:16] correctly. But, what if I told you there are specific situations, specific games, specific match-ups, specific conditions where the sports books say 75%, but the real answer is actually 85%. Now, the sports book says 75% chance, but the
[03:31] line maker method speaks 85% chance. Well, that edge right there is 10%. That 10% gap is where the line maker method lives. We don't bet every minus 300 line. Most of them are actually priced correctly. We only bet the ones where
[03:46] our analysis shows the real probability is significantly higher than the price. And when we find those, we win at 85% of the time. Now, a quick breakdown on plus odds so you understand the full picture. A plus number means underdog. The sports
[03:59] books think they're less likely to win. The number tells you how much you win on a $100 bet. Plus 200, you bet 100, you win two. Plus 300, you bet 100, you win three. Now, the payouts look sexy. Everyone loves the idea of betting $100
[04:14] and winning 300. But here's the truth nobody wants to hear. Underdogs lose most of the time. That's why they're underdogs. A plus 300 underdog only needs to win 25% of the time for the bet to be fair value. But guess what? Most
[04:28] plus 300 underdogs win less than 25% of the time. The sports book knows this. maker method focuses on heavy favorites instead of underdogs. We'd rather win 85 out of 100 bets for a smaller profit each time than win 20 out of 100 bets
[04:44] for a bigger payout because consistency is what builds bankrolls, not home runs. Now, let me walk you through the three main bet types. Once you understand these, you understand 90% of sports betting. The money line play. Money line
[04:57] is the simplest bet. You're just picking who wins. No point spreads, no scores, just who wins the game. The Chiefs are minus 300 means you bet $300 to win $100 on the Chiefs. The Bengals are plus 240 means you bet $100 to win $240 on the
[05:11] Bengals. You bet 300 on the Chiefs and they win, you get $400 back. You bet 100 on the Bengals, you get $340 back. Now, let's talk about the spread. The spread adds a layer instead of just picking who wins, you're betting how much they win
[05:24] by. So, if the Chiefs are minus seven and a half, that means they need to win seven and a half means that they can lose by up to seven and your bet still wins. Spreads are popular in football and basketball. They're useful, but
[05:37] because you're not just picking the winner. You're predicting the margin. Now, let's talk about totals. Totals are straightforward. You're betting on whether the combined score of both teams will be over or under a number. Let's
[05:50] say the total is set at 48 and a half. If the final score is Chiefs 28, Bengals 24, that's 52 points, then the over wins. If it's Chiefs 20, Bengals 17, that's 37, the under wins. We use totals in the Line Maker method when we spot
[06:05] mispriced lines, but our bread and butter comes from props. Props is when you're betting on a single person to do a single thing. Now, the reason why this is the most profitable bet out there is because there is not a thousand
[06:18] different variables that are included in that bet. It's that one player to do one thing or to not do one thing. This is where you find the most mispriced lines of all. Now, don't get me wrong, you will find mispriced lines on totals as
[06:33] well as spreads, but not as often and not as sharp as you will find on player a bet that you should avoid at all costs, and it's called parlays. Now, let me be blunt. Parlays are a sports book's favorite product, not yours, theirs. A
[06:49] parlay combines multiple bets into one. All of them have to win for you to get paid. The payout looks incredible. $100 can turn into 2,000 on a four-leg parlay, but here's what they don't tell you. The sports book charges a tax on
[07:02] every bet. It's called the vig. On a single bet, the tax is about 4.5%, but on a parlay, the tax stacks on every leg. Two legs, the double tax. Four legs, quadruple. A 10-leg parlay, you're paying more than hidden fees than you'd
[07:17] ever win back. The sports books want you to bet parlays. They market them. They rare person who hits one because for every person who hits a parlay, a thousand people lose theirs. At Line Maker Sports, we don't do those type of
[07:32] parlays. The only type of parlays that we do are when you have multiple legs where they have over 90% true probability of actually happening, and usually it has to be within one player. And when you find an edge on those type
[07:44] of parlays, then that's how you could build a solid bankroll as well. Not by of randoms on it and hoping that it hits. If you don't understand how the sports book makes money, you will always lose to them. So, let me pull back the
[07:58] curtain on the sports book. You bet $110 on team A at minus 110. Your friend bets $110 on team B at minus 110. Sports book collects $220. The winner gets back $210. Sports book gets to keep $10 no matter who wins. They collected 220,
[08:14] they paid out 210, they keep $10 every single time. They don't care who wins the game. They make money either way. That $10 fee, the vig, means you start every bet in a hole. So, a minus 110 bet, you need to win 52.4% of your bets
[08:29] just to break even, not to make money, just to stop losing. Now, most bettors have no idea that these numbers even exist. They think winning half their bet means they're doing okay. They're not. They're slowly bleeding, and they don't
[08:42] changes at minus 300 odds, which is where the Line Maker Method operates. Break even at minus 300 is 75%. The Line Maker Method win rate is 80 to 85%. Now, your edge above break even is 5 to 10%. At minus 300, you need to win 75% of the
[08:57] time to break even. Well, we win 80 to 85% of time. That's 5 to 10% edge above break even is pure profit. And because we are winning so often, our bankroll doesn't go wild and go on these up and down roller coasters. It grinds up day
[09:11] after day with the occasional loss mixed in. This is the fundamental difference between what we do and what 97% of sports bettors do. They're guessing at coin flip bets hoping to beat 52.4%. Where we're betting heavy favorites with
[09:24] a systematic edge that pushes us well past the 75% break even threshold. It's a completely different game. Let me tell you why Line Maker Sports exists, and why we're different from every other betting education program or somebody
[09:37] that's selling picks out there. Because, trust me, there are a lot of to YouTube right now and search sports betting strategy. Who comes up? Most of some of the other videos that you'll find are somebody selling $30 pick
[09:52] packages, posting fake screenshots, flexing rented cars, and claiming that they win every single bet that they put down, which they never can seem to show you. It's an industry full of people that are not doing actually what
[10:05] they say they do. But that's not me. And I'm going to explain to you exactly why my stuff is so different. 90% of sports betting content that's out there tells you to bet underdogs. That's where the value is. The public overvalues
[10:17] favorites. You've heard it a hundred times. And you know what? Sometimes they're right. There is value on underdogs occasionally. But here's the problem. Underdog strategies have massive variance. You lose five, six,
[10:29] seven bets in a row waiting for that one big hit that makes it all back. Most people can't handle that emotionally or financially. They go broke before the big hit ever comes. With the Line Maker method, it's built on the opposite
[10:41] philosophy. We bet heavy favorites, minus 300, minus 400, minus 500. Sometimes we're down in the minus 200 ranges, or, you know, minus 150 or whatnot, but we only bet those in specific situations where our analysis
[10:55] significantly higher than what the odds imply. We win 85% of the time. Now, the profits are smaller per bet, but they come so consistently that the bankroll just climbs. So, let me ask you a question. Would you rather win one every
[11:10] question. Would you rather win one every five bets for a big payout or win 17 out Now, me personally, I'll always choose care about narratives. I don't care who the hot team is. I
[11:23] don't care what ESPN says. Every single bet we make is based on data, probabilities, match-up analysis, historical patterns, and a framework that has been tested and refined over 5 years and thousands of bets. At Line
[11:37] Maker Sports, we teach you the method, not just picks. The method, because a pick helps you win one game. The method I've spent 5 plus years building this system through trial and error, testing
[11:50] and refining, losing my own money, and figuring out what actually works in the real world, not in theory, not in a back test, in real betting with real dollars against real sports books. That's experience that you can't fake. Now,
[12:04] wins, and they hide their losses. We show every single thing, every bet, every win, every loss. The tracker is open for everybody to see. The record is public. Why? Because when you win 80 to 85% of the time, you don't need to hide
[12:19] anything. I'm proud of that record. And we want our students to see the full understand that losing is part of the process. Even at 80 to 85% of the time, you're still losing 15 to 20 times out of every 100 bets. That's normal. That's
[12:33] expected, and that's okay, because the math is on your side. This isn't a and disappear. Line Maker Sports is a community of serious bettors who are all learning the same method, tracking their bets,
[12:46] sharing the results, and holding each other accountable. We've got students who came in as a complete beginner, couldn't read a line, didn't know what a vig was, and within months, they're making consistent income betting heavy
[12:58] I'm going to teach you. You're not just learning from me. You're joining a network of people who are all on the same path. And that accountability, that community, is the difference between watching a YouTube video and forgetting
[13:11] about it tomorrow versus actually changing how you bet for the rest of your life. Now, before I give you the action plan, let me save you from the every single day. I made every one of
[13:23] these. My students made them before they found us. And if you don't fix them, no method in the world is going to save you. Mistake one is no bankroll plan. Your bankroll is a dedicated amount of money that you have set aside just for
[13:35] betting. Not your rent, not your groceries, money you can lose without it affecting your life. Now, I teach a strict rule, never risk more than 1 to 5% of your bankroll on any single bet. If your bankroll is a $1,000, your bet
[13:48] is between 10 to $50. If your bankroll is $10,000, your bet is between 100 to $500. This sounds boring. It sounds slow, and that's exactly why it works. The people who bet 10, 20, 30% of their bankroll on one game, they're gone in a
[14:02] week. While we're here for the long haul. Now, mistake number two is chasing losses. You lose a bet, it stings, especially at minus 300, where the loss you immediately go looking for another bet, a bigger one, to win it all back.
[14:17] bankroll killer in sports betting. At LineMaker Sports, we have a rule. When you lose, you walk away. You come back tomorrow. Reset to your normal unit size, and trust the process. One loss
[14:30] doesn't break the system. Chasing does. Let's talk about mistake number three, betting every single game. There are hundreds of games every week. Most of them are priced correctly by the sports book. There's no edge, no mispricing, no
[14:43] value. LineMaker method betters bet two to eight games, maybe a day, and that's during the busy times. And some days, zero. That means zero bets, because if there's no edge today, we don't force it. We wait. Patience isn't just a nice
[14:56] idea in this business, it's a requirement. Mistake number four is following other people that are trying to give you picks. If someone on Instagram is selling you the lock of the century for 30 bucks, ask yourself one
[15:09] question. If they can really win at a high percentage, why do they need $30? Hence the reason why you can't join my program for $30. The pick selling industry is built on one thing, laziness. People want someone else to do
[15:23] the work, but even if the picks are good, you haven't learned anything. The square one. Now, what I do, I don't just sell picks. I teach you the method, the system, the framework, so you never need anyone to
[15:36] hand you a pick again. You learn to find the edge yourself. That's a skill that let's get to mistake number five, betting underdogs and just parlays. I already covered parlays. They're the sportsbooks' best friend, not yours.
[15:50] But, let me add underdogs to this list. Underdogs are exciting, the payouts look great, but the variance will destroy your bankroll and your psychology. You'll lose six bets in a row, panic, abandon your strategy, start chasing,
[16:02] and blow up your account. Heavy favorites with a verified edge give you the opposite experience. You win most of your bets, your bankroll grows steadily, you sleep well at night, and over 3,000 bets a year, that's that 80 to 85% win
[16:16] rate turns into real life-changing money. Excitement doesn't pay the bills, know more about sports betting than most people, and I mean even people who've been doing this for years. So, here's exactly what to do next. Six steps,
[16:29] start today. Step one, set your bankroll, a dedicated amount you can afford to lose. Write this down. Step two, set your unit size, 1 to 5% of your bankroll. That's your bet per game, and it's non-negotiable. Step three, open
[16:45] or if you just want to do one, I recommend just doing Calshi, which is a have multiple books to be able to compare lines, because the difference between minus 280 and minus 300 on the same game adds up to thousands over a
[17:00] year. Step four, start a tracking sheet. Use my tracker if you need. Every single bet, date, game, odds, unit size, result, running bankroll. If you don't track this stuff, you don't know where you stand, period. Step five, stop
[17:15] betting parlays and random underdogs Today, stop doing that today. If you do nothing else from this video, do this. Your bankroll will thank you, trust me. learn the Line Maker method. All you have to do is click the link in the
[17:29] description and you'll learn exactly how I identify mispriced heavy favorites, how I analyze the data, and how we consistently hit 80 to 85%. The link is is click it. Now, let me be real with you for a second. There are thousands of
[17:43] sports betting channels on YouTube. Most of them are selling you dreams, parlays locks from guys who can't verify a single thing, flashy lifestyles funded by subscription fees, not by actually the bets that they're putting in. That's
[17:57] not what we do here. Line Maker Sports is built on one thing, math. We find heavy favorites where the sports book has the price wrong. We bet them and we win 80 to 85% of the time. We manage our bankroll with discipline and we do it
[18:10] day after day, week after week, month after month. It's not sexy, it's not flashy, but it works. In five years and thousands of bets later, the record of losing money, you're tired of following people who can't prove the
[18:24] results, if you're ready to actually learn a real system that puts the math on your side, then you're in the right place. Make sure you subscribe to this channel. I put out videos every week breaking down the method, the math, and
[18:36] ready to get going and actually make an actual income from this, make sure you because that's where everything starts. 97% of sports bettors lose. The other 3% have a method. Now you know where to find one.
