[00:02] the beta, while others are sadly in the loser department and can definitely use breaking down the most fun tanks and healers you could play in Midnight World of Warcraft. Remember, this is based off of fun design and overall feel rather

[00:18] don't know about you guys, but I'm always looking for some really cool WoW style or fantasy themed knickknacks to spice up the area in the back. Whether just scrolls that look like they were

[00:32] Teimu, and honestly, I was surprised by how much cool stuff they have on the site that's really affordable. I'm talking maps, keychains, cool shirts, speakers. But here's the important part. Teimu is actually giving out this $20

[00:45] off coupon to anyone using this code, KCC2868. So, I'm going to paste it in here. And boom, we get our $20 off. And then from this page, we get $20 off any of our purchase. The important thing is though,

[00:58] when you redeem it, you got 24 hours to use it. So, if you order something $21, the $20 off, which is really cool. And there's a lot of good stuff here. I mean, they got this little dual screen monitor thing. They got this really cool

[01:11] gaming chair, a little display case for all your stuff, which honestly I'm soon. If you've ever thought about upgrading your gaming setup, or just adding some flare to your space, you can sit here and grab some really affordable

[01:24] cool loot with $20 off code. It's a really good idea. So, scan the QR code description. And don't forget, search the code KCC2868 it in the search bar window just like you see on screen here. You get your $20

[01:39] off any purchase over $20 and uh you'll be good to go. So, I'm going to finish a new display case, but shout out to Teimu for sponsoring today's video and starting off first. I got to be real, man. I got to put protection paladin as

[01:53] the most fun tank so far. It's been my favorite tank for a really, really long time. And when it comes to changes, there have been a few notable ones. Number one, Eye of Tier is gone. Moment of Glory is gone. So, you're no longer

[02:05] Avenger Shield spamming, locking down casters completely on your own 24/7. But with that being said, those tools have been removed. Yes. But Prop Paladin from a gameplay and core perspective really stayed intact, very similar to how the

[02:20] gameplay style was in The War Within. Um, one of the things that I really love though is that they reworked a couple of things on your talent tree to heavily buff your passive natural damage mitigation through some of your talents,

[02:32] which makes this spec feel substantially better overall. I would say moment to moment when it comes to game play, protection paladin still feels really, really good to play, man. It's easy to gather up packs. You feel tanky without

[02:45] constantly pressing panic buttons. Uh, your damage is really, really high as a tank. And then your self-healing with Word of Glory is just borderline insane getting nerfed. But even though you lost some of the, you know, cheesy caster

[03:00] mechanics like eye of tier, they definitely made up for it with a few of these talent additions and minor changes across the board. Um, you still feel very good when it comes to controlling and, you know, locking down certain

[03:13] casters. You got your kick, divine shield, hammer of justice, blinding repeat back and forth. Um, your utility is unmatched when it comes to tanking, of course, with everything that you have in your kit. Your sheer survivability is

[03:26] insane. You have incredible off heals if they need it. For me, protection into midnight. It is that perfect sweet really good damage and then you have probably the most utility in the game as

[03:39] a tank to carry groups on your own. So, very good spec heading to Midnight. Moving on next though, I got to say really, really fun spec, close second is Vengeance Demon Hunter. Now, I've never been at one to love Vengeance Demon

[03:53] heading into Midnight now is that everything feels a lot more stable and consistent. Defensiives no longer ramp up the same way. Fury generation is a tiny bit lower, so you're not flooded as much. Um, and a lot of variants got

[04:08] abilities and talents and stuff. On top of that, the new Apex talent, Untethered Rage for them. I think I could confidently say it's the best tanking absolutely game-changing. It's awesome. It gives you free metamorphosis procs

[04:22] whenever you cast soul cleave or spirit bomb. Occasionally, you get that proc metamorphosis pretty often, which is really, really fun. It's not only that, it's really effective and impactful the second it procs. So, it changes up

[04:35] everything the second you get that going. Moment to moment. When it comes to game play, they're really good to play. Your damage is out of control as vengeance when it comes to tanking. And I think a lot of tanks in the game

[04:47] should feel like this. You should feel like you can come at least relatively close to DPS numbers, but be able to sustain yourself and deal good damage. We need to buff tanks more to get more people playing them. No one wants to

[05:00] play a low DPS, low self-sustain tank. to do things and survive on your own and make plays and deal good damage. That's what will make tanking fun. So, they have to keep buffing tanks rather than

[05:13] With that being said, though, Vengeance Demon Hunter checks pretty much all the you have good utility with, of course, your 3% magic debuff for enemies. Uh, your self-sustain is incredible. Good crowd control as well. For me, Vengeance

[05:28] Demon Hunter is absolutely main worthy because not only that, they're great. Devour and Havoc are looking great. So, as a whole, Demon Hunter in general is eating very, very good heading into Midnight. Love Vengeance as of right

[05:40] now. Moving on next. Now, I would say heading into the A tier, we got to start with Brew Master Monk. Now, I'll say right now, if you want a very stressfree, chill, and laidback tanking experience, Brew Master is your guy

[05:55] without a doubt. It is the way to go. The spec got simplified and smoothed out and the rotational clutter when it comes to stagger and mechanics is greatly simplified and it feels a lot better and the interactions are just overall just

[06:08] that. So, Brew Master has fewer cooldowns, fewer things to spin and micromanage. Hero talents for them, both of them got updated heavily. uh they theme and they bring more consistent damage and overall it feels more like a

[06:23] guaranteed going to pick one and screw off the other. I would say when you're off the other. I would say when you're playing Brew Master it feels pretty fun but most importantly it's just extremely comfortable, chill and stressfree. The

[06:37] rotation is very simple. Whenever you want to deal damage you press your keg get the cool down reduction on all of your bruise and stuff. And then when a lot of damage, of course, you clear your stagger, and then you pop celestial

[06:50] brew, and then you can just expel harm, get all your orbs to you, heal you over the next 10 seconds with that brand new talent, and uh you're absolutely chilling. So really, really good and casual and laid-back feel when it comes

[07:02] to tanking, and I think some people enjoy that play style. Stagger as a mechanic feels really good right now. The incoming damage is very smooth and delayed, and it feels really hard to die on Brew Master. Uh there's never moment

[07:15] when I was testing this out in keys where I was like in pure panic mode. There are a couple tanks which we'll talk about later with that. Um but I think their apex talent is really good. It's super on theme with what Brew

[07:27] Master is. Whenever you drink a brew, you get an empty brew barrel which then expends whenever you keg smash. Does a funny little animation. Brew Master's questionable because whether you like the monk style or not is up to you. But

[07:42] I think it's a very fun spec to play. I think Mistw Weaver's on its way. I think Windalker is suffering, but I would say overall Brew Master is I would say main I'm really excited about this spec. Moving on next to the tank that probably

[07:56] got the biggest amount of changes, the Guardian Druid heading into Midnight. First of all, thorns of iron gone. Iron spam gone. No longer the entire game plan. and your rays ability is now a big core part of not only how you deal

[08:11] damage, but even how you survive based off of a few talents. Um, I think guardian does feel better because it's no longer just thrash, spam iron fur,

[08:23] frenzy regen when you need, pop your cooldowns and rotate them and then go about your day. It It's a little bit more in-depth. There's some more layers of interaction here. So, it depends. If you enjoy that sort of thing, it's going

[08:35] not going to like it anymore and you're probably going to want to go play Brew Master. I will say I do feel a tiny bit squishier on Guardian this time around. definitely tied to timing things properly like rays and uh managing iron

[08:51] first stacks and making sure that uptime is really good. I would say frenzy regen press that, you're never going to feel like you're going to die. But if you don't press it in a proper time, man,

[09:05] you're going to probably suffer. It it's there's some definitely like a good that I don't know if people are going to love. The reason I have it dead smack in the middle of this list is because some people are going to like this vibe, some

[09:18] people aren't. I think it's okay, but I do miss the old turn my brain off. I I things and interaction and depth between their kit. For me, it's a little bit too much for me now, and it's kind of a turnoff. I would say dead smack in the

[09:32] middle for me for fun or casual. If you enjoyed Guardian before, I don't know if you're going to love Guardian now, but there definitely are some changes that you got to keep note of. Just harder to play than most tanks right now. Okay,

[09:45] now moving on. Next, right below Guardian in the B tier, we got to talk about the protection warrior. Now, protection warrior is probably the least changed out of every tank spec in the entire game. And to be honest, I do

[09:57] think this is a little bit of a problem because there's a lot of like magic damage in a lot of these dungeons and there are also like a lot of bleed effects and stuff which if you've ever played protection war, you know that's

[10:09] there in one two punch. And not only that, there's there's a lot of them in a problem. They don't have a ton of answers to those problems and it does worry me a bit. On top of that, anchor management got nerfed pretty bad. So, it

[10:24] bit, which doesn't feel great, especially if you're playing Mountain Thane and you're trying to get more avatars. I would say from a gameplay perspective, prop warrior feels almost identical to what it's been. You get

[10:36] strong shield block uptime. You're trying to manage that. You got your spell reflect whenever a cast is about to go off. And then you know and then because of the new apex talent rotationally you're alternating shield

[10:49] slam thunder clap shield slam thunder clap rinse and repeat over and over. well right now. But I would say the main problem for protection is that survivability feels very almost like pole dependent. Um some poles I would

[11:03] know if there's a couple casters going off uh you have those like poison dagger rogues in the windrunner spire. Man, those guys annihilate me if they get their little poison daggers off. So, that's not really fun. Um, either way, I

[11:17] situational pick going into Midnight. If you liked Warrior before, there's not much changes and you're probably going to enjoy it for what it is. I think I think thematically it's just freaking awesome. Moving on lastly to the Blood

[11:32] Death Knight. I I think I'm going to put it on low B, not C tier here. Um, I would say blood death knight man it does need some work in a sense. The biggest glaring change heading into midnight is the overhaul to dancing rune weapon.

[11:47] Dancing rune weapon now is on a flat cool down and you do not get to press it nearly as often which really makes the rotation in my opinion maybe hot take pretty boring. On top of that rune tap is gone. So when I used to gather mobs I

[12:01] charge ready to go and I would get some nice mitigation that's gone. So when you're gathering, it's a little bit more tough. And when it comes to gameplay, even though they said they were going to make it better, it's still very

[12:13] stressful, man. It's a lot of almost like anxiety. Whenever you have dancing room up, it's really good. But outside of it, you constantly still have that classic blood DK HP yo-yo situation going on. And I still think they need

[12:27] some more passive natural damage mitigation, similar to what they just did with protection paladin, which I'm hoping we will get with this next tuning pass. Um, your health bar constantly going up drastically top to bottom. Uh,

[12:40] which just doesn't feel good as a tank. For example, you have specs like brew master monk, vengeance demon hunter, um, prop paladin, very casual, chill tanking experience. This is just it's stressful. It's annoying. Micromanaging bone shield

[12:55] you're a really good experienced Blood DK player. I I would probably hold off it's going to get updated. Of course, the self-healing is incredible. And the just adds a lot of unwanted pressure

[13:10] that I'm I'm just not looking to have as a tank, which is just it's just more stressful and annoying than ever. Okay, now moving on now to healers. First up, guys, incredibly fun healer, man. We got to go restoration druid. Uh you want to

[13:24] talk about a healer that pretty much checks every single box in the game, change heading into midnight for them. Several of their heal overtime effects are gone. For example, spring blossoms. Uh I think it's called cultivation as

[13:38] well as scenarian wards. So a lot of core abilities and passives going away. And then the cherry on top of all of it, nourish is gone as well. So yes, you're not locked into these uh you know big nourish ramp ups anymore. Uh, get that

[13:51] out of here. And I know you may be freaking out, but I will say I think freaking out, but I will say I think this feels a lot better. Lifeloom is an absolute banger right now in the restoration kit due to the apex talent.

[14:04] it drop effescence. I believe that's the name of it. Um, it just feels amazing. You have big chunky AoE cleave heal overtime effects that feel impactful the second you drop it rather than just like endless ramping before. man. Um, when I

[14:18] was playing Resto Druid compared to some of the other healers, it always felt like number one, I had full mana all the time. So, the mana management very straightforward. I can handle any situation thrown at me almost with ease

[14:31] through the roof. And if I know there's big damage coming, I just simply apply rejuvenation to everybody, keep life bloom on my tank, and then when the damage actually happens, I just instantly pop Wild Growth. Boom. I'm I'm

[14:46] weaving and I feel good. I would say the healing on rest of druid the HPS is out of control right now. It's probably going to get nerfed. And not only that, regrowth is a massive chunky heal right now due to all the crit chance bonus

[14:59] with rejuvenation being spread adding to that effect. It it just feels really good right now. This spec is absolutely main worthy, really really fun. uh kept heal overtime effects, but it's way more, I guess, impactful and reactive

[15:14] than rampy, if that makes sense. I I think they're a banger. Love this spec so far. Okay, moving on next to very close to S tier for me, man. I got to say it's the Holy Paladin. I don't know what it is about the Holy Paladin on

[15:27] beta right now, but this spec is the one I played by far the most out of any specs I'm talking about in this video, and I am hooked to this spec. The midnight crusader strike is gone unless you're specked into it with a venging

[15:41] crusader which thank god I stay far away from anyway. Um light of dawn got target frontal cone. Now it just heals everyone in a 40 yard range around you which feels really good for raids and the animation is just incredible. Sound

[15:55] effects are great. Judgment and specifically holy shock feel very weighted and impactful again. And I got to say, every single time I play this spec, I just have a blast. It feels less clunky than ever. And it's just great

[16:08] from a gameplay perspective, you pretty much just judgment off cooldown. You fire off those holy shocks as much as you can. You build up your holy power healing with either holy prism for, you know, maybe your main tank or whatever.

[16:21] And then you splash with big eternal flame added with the light of dawn three separate beacons now due to the Apex talent, your single target healing feels like an AoE heal. And I really really like it, man. I I think it's in

[16:35] such a good spot thematically. I think the core kit feels just so responsive compared to some other healers that we'll talk about in a minute. It's not delayed at all. Like the second I cast a spell, you see the health bar move up

[16:50] Holy Paladin should be about. I think this spec is absolutely main worthy. It brings that iconic fantasy of being just a nuclear lowtarget priority healer that just instantly fills entire health bars

[17:04] that's what makes Holy Paladin cool. classic and TBC and stuff. So having them head into Midnight, I think it's a really cool class fantasy. Moving on next, surprisingly in the A tier as

[17:16] well, I got to go Mistw Weaver Monk. Man, I can't believe it. This this spec surprised the crap out of me. Now, of course, you still have your typical, you know, fistw weaving builds with way of the crane, but personally, I'm kind of

[17:29] over that. I got bored of that a while ago, and I've been playing the full-on caster, soothing mist, crackling jade, lightning build, and it is a blast with tell you, it took mist weaver for me as one of the most boring specs. So, a

[17:43] really fun spec out of nowhere. Use soothing mist as the channel big heal enveloping mist as well, which is a big single target heal if I need it. And then down in the bottom of the tree, we replace Vivify with a new uh spell that

[17:57] improves it called the Shayun's Gift, which is my favorite part of this entire splash to your whole party. And with the tranquil tea talent, every time you drink manity, it gives you a stack of the cloud mist, which amplifies it just

[18:10] to the moon. So, I can just get instant full health heals with Shayoon's gift on my tank, AoE splash heal everybody else. you know, I use my soothing mist and crackling jade lightning on the move, dealing a bunch of damage to spread heal

[18:24] as well. So, overall really fun gameplay style. I cannot believe how much it surprised me and I would think you guys have to definitely try this. Not only that, I think Mistw Weaver actually has in the game the most amount of oh [ __ ]

[18:38] buttons out there between all of the healers. Oh [ __ ] buttons, I like to call them like major cooldowns. Uh it's just things that you can pop whenever things go sideways as a healer. For example, revival, celestial conduit, ulon, uh

[18:51] thunder focus tea, and then your apex talent getting procked whenever you, you cocoon on your tank. I mean, you have an answer to everything out there. The cooldowns are impactful. I love it. I don't have to do the work and headache

[19:05] love the caster build substantially more, but I do think this spec is well on its way to being in a really solid spot heading into midnight. and it's really fun. Moving on next, now we do have to talk about the uber complicated

[19:18] preservation evoker and I think I'm going to put it on the B+ tier. Now, Now, when it comes to changes, both of their hero talent trees feel very good.

[19:30] Now, for flame shaper, uh your consume flame is now a passive and it's tied to explode it rather than having consume flame, which I think is good. And then for Chrono Warden, now it's shifting toward, of course, away from Spirit

[19:42] game. And now it's being more focused on Verd Embrace as well as your heal overtime effect being reversion at its core. Again, believe it or not, uh, Verd Embrace now hits like a Mac truck when

[19:54] nice. Feels really good to press. And then it also can activate the apex synergy for Maritha's blessing, which is a nice little uh change for your rotation. And it gives you a nice little onusability effect for your reversion,

[20:07] press it. Like usual with preservation though, you're pretty much all still When you need big healing, you prep it up, do a little dream breath, maybe a vert embrace, single target, and that's about the rotation. Uh what I do like

[20:22] double dream breath from flame shaper. Personally, that's my favorite build as of right now. Not only that, whenever you know things get really scary, you do have a couple really strong cooldowns. number one stasis for your tank.

[20:35] focus on some other guys and then go back to him with reversion which feels really nice. You have double dream breath verdant embrace apex talent stasis, double down on it, use it again. So you have a lot of answers to

[20:48] heavyhitting problems. And it feels like when cooldowns are ready to go, you can have the most HPS in the game in short bursts of time. Maybe not sustained, but to make them really good for raids. So, if you're looking for a spec that is

[21:02] pretty stressless, this is probably not going to be the spec for you. There's a micromanaging, making sure you got echoes on everybody, uh, prepping when to use reversion and stuff like that properly. So, it is a lot of work. For

[21:15] me, I think it's a great spec, but I'm going to put it right dead smack in the middle. Gameplay styles can vary across the board for people, so for me, I'm going to keep it there. Moving on now to the first pre-spec, we actually have

[21:28] discipline. Now, the biggest changes for discipline in Midnight is that your apex talent now revolves around massive AoE like void shields that also fuels your penencing allies like we were doing in the war within, you're now spreading

[21:43] these huge AoE shields and letting that damage through your atonement with better. It's still discipline priest, but it's just way more shield forward damage ccentric, which I think that's what discipline priest should be all

[21:57] about. Moment to moment, the gameplay style of discipline feels very, very You power radiance, you get your atonements out, penance on the enemies, deal your damage, spread shadow ward pain, get your void shields, bada bing,

[22:12] bada boom. It's very straightforward. That being said, it is executionheavy. Like, if you slip up and you're mistiming windows as discipline, it's definitely not easy to just fully recover compared to other specs in the

[22:26] game. for example, like a misw weaver monk or even a restoration druid. So, you got to be on the ball constantly as a discipline priest, which some people may not like. For me, I would say this is main worthy, but only if you're

[22:38] already in love with how discipline plays in their play style previously. I would say Midnight Disc, it doubles down on just planning, micromanaging, making windows, dealing your damage, crowd

[22:52] scream, and setting up safely for your group. So, it is a lot of work, but let Discipline Priest. Moving on to next now to the second to last. Who's it going to Restoration Shaman. Uh, I got to put Restoration Shaman at the bottom of

[23:06] Btier. Thematically, one of my favorite healers in the entire game, but sadly, this spec is the most gutted out of all the healers in the game. Earthing wall totem, cloud burst totem, healing surge, mana tide, uh uh stone bolt work totem,

[23:20] thunderstorm for crowd control, just top to bottom. A lot of things very core to restoration shaman got removed, which I know a lot of restoration shaman player like that are in our guild and friends and stuff and they don't like it at all.

[23:33] So now it's become one of the most straightforward simple healers in the entire game. It's not completely centered around chain heal and the occasional heal healing surge anymore. Instead, the kit will revolve around

[23:45] greatly Rip Tide, Earth Shield, as well as proing your mastery and making that stronger. And then the occasional Apex talent, which is Storm String Totem, which I will admit feels amazing because the second you press it, a ton of

[23:58] healing is going out, which feels good. But you're at this point right now where the rotation is pretty much rip tide on everybody, healing wave whenever you need it, healing stream totem, and then Storm Stream proc. That is the entirety

[24:12] of your healing rotation. It doesn't get much more straightforward than that. And players, they don't like it. They don't find it fun. And I think they just pruned restoration shaman a little bit too much for me. I know restoration in

[24:26] general is a bit up in the air right now. But they do have some good things going for them still. I do love the fact that they still bring blood lust, a raid game, capacitor totem. They have a lot of tools in their kit, but when it comes

[24:40] to raw healing, the variance of that is just not that wide, which kind of sucks. Um, so yeah, that's the end of that. Moving on. Lastly, finally, ladies and gentlemen, uh, we got to put the Holy

[24:53] Priest. I'm going to sadly put them in the C tier for me personally. Now, I will say right off the bat, Holy Priest got pruned. I love the gameplay style and thematic sort of feel of Holy Priest. I love the fact that back then,

[25:07] you know, it's all about spreading renews, prayer of mending, big greater heal procs and stuff. I missed that style. They got rid of a ton of things. And in my opinion, it strips holy priest of what it really was from a core. First

[25:22] of all, divine star gone, lightwell gone, Renew is gone as an activatable ability that you just put on people. Uh I think premonition is gone and heal is gone as well. So, at a core, a lot of things from Holy Priest got removed, and

[25:37] they didn't fill that void with anything else, which I really don't like. With that being said, though, I will say they're pushing them into being an even easier healer that you can play in the game right now. Probably the easiest

[25:50] healer in the game, like very casual, you know, beginner friendly healer. And new talent. I think it's called ultimate serenity. What this does is change your holy word serenity to become like the centerpiece of your entire kit, acting

[26:03] as a massive like single target healing ability, but then it'll also splash party. And it takes the other passives from that ability and puts it on that as well. So, it feels good to press. The problem is for me, holy priest screams

[26:19] prayer of mending, renew, heal, light well, those sort of spells. So, not having that, it it just changes the vibe a little bit too much for me and I don't like it. From a gameplay perspective, you're going to be playing Archon, you

[26:31] use Halo to get those big Surge of Light procs still, uh, big instant flash heals, uh, chunky prayer of healings, uh, which then reduces the cool down of you to use it as much as possible for big single target chunky heals for a

[26:44] on the party. And then you tie that with your new Apex talent, Cosmic Ripple, doesn't really feel good. It's entirely passive and it doesn't feel great as well. It definitely needs some tuning. Um, I'm just I'm not in love with it.

[26:57] through all the tuning and I'm sure there will be people that like it. prayer of mending, big renew, big heal overtime effects, light well, big heals, big procs with surge of light. I don't

[27:11] ladies and gentlemen, that is going to wrap up our video. You can see the final course, we will be making an update video on this probably sometime in around the corner. This is just the current level of fun of all the specs
