Bugs caused a 15-20% damage loss, highlighting the impact of technical issues on class balance.
11:33Marksmanship Hunter's Design Flaw
Reworks to Precise Shots gutted the spec's cleave and burst, showing how design changes can backfire.
13:11[00:01] disastrous fashion and everything's kind of broken, we actually have more things that are insane right now, and that's class balancing cuz there was a lot of both Mythic Plus and rating. And ladies and gentlemen, the results are in. So
[00:16] meta specs dominating Mythic World of Warcraft right now, and some specs that fell off a bit. Just a quick disclaimer, any spec can play at any content level. echelon of specs and specs that make it a little bit easier to get there. First
[00:31] up, one of the biggest winners surprisingly is Windwalker Monk. In rating, they jumped up over 12 spots on the DPS ladder going from middle of the which is an incredible thing and definitely wasn't supposed to just
[00:45] happen. Now, on paper, the Windwalker changes expected them to be kind of neutral, maybe even slightly worse after the changes because Blizzard nerfed their burst window by reducing how much crit they get from Tiger's Eye Brew, but
[00:57] instead, it actually exploded them. And the reason comes down to how the spec environment. Of course, Fists of Fury will now deal the same damage but in it more efficient. On top of that, the
[01:10] Xuen's changes gives you more AoE damage control with your stomp, which is once again very powerful and nice short cooldown burst windows. And because of a environment where you need a lot of damage very quickly out there, and it
[01:24] needs to be timed properly, Windwalker Monk is now just crushing it out of nowhere. Now, its single-target damage didn't really go up, and parts of the spec were technically nerfed, but in actual raw gameplay rating content, and
[01:37] doing on a monk, their damage profile got substantially better. Not only that, because of some of the other specs dropping in this patch so far, you actually start to see monk rise up substantially more in any Mythic Plus
[01:50] melee cleave comps finally coming online. So it could be the rise of monk in melee cleave just the start of it, this is just simply one of the first examples of it. You get yourself a
[02:02] guardian druid, windwalker monk, shaman, and then fill out the rest with melee cleave like a arms warrior, and you should be good to go. Man, you know where it's not just one character, you're building a team. And this game
[02:15] their unique lineup of legendary champions inspired by the classic tale Alice Adventures in Wonderland, including Alice the Wanderer, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Knave of the Hearts, and the fearsome Queen of Hearts. But
[02:28] they're darker, reimagined versions of the character, and they're fully unique champions with their own abilities and playstyles. Imagine Alice in Wonderland as a high damage champion built around control and disruption, while the
[02:40] aggressive, fast, and built for pure damage. The best part is that you can now get your hands on them, and I'll tell you how in a moment. What I love numbers win, you actually have to think about team synergy, ability timing, and
[02:54] how your champions work together. And the fact that it's both on mobile and PC makes it super easy to jump into. And if you're starting fresh right now, they're you download the game using my link in description or scan the QR code on
[03:07] screen, you'll get a free legendary champion Elenaril right from the start. And once you hit level 15, you unlock the epic Tayrel. On top of that, only pick one of these promo codes to get another free legendary champion of your
[03:20] choice. Personally, I'd go with get Alice. She's super versatile and strong in both PvE and PvP. So, if you've been looking for a new game with a ton of it a shot. Click the link in the description below or scan the QR code on
[03:32] screen now to get all the bonuses and start building your team today. Like we were saying before, an incredibly big surprise also is Outlaw Rogue. Now, we adjustments in this patch, really just primarily to their cloud cover hero
[03:46] talent tree, which applies phased to all enemies after you pop your adrenaline bonus whenever you use your adrenaline rush cooldown. Phase just pretty much gives you a percentage damage increase to enemies affected by the ability. And
[03:59] if you pair that with a solid, you know, three or even jackpot roll, you have some of the highest consistent DPS in the game if you're paired in a melee right now Mythic Plus is just that they're just so consistent top to
[04:13] good crowd control on caster mobs. So, if you funnel an Outlaw Rogue into a melee group like Arms Warrior, Feral Druid, Resto Shaman, and a Brewmaster, it definitely makes for one of the best comps in World of Warcraft right now,
[04:26] especially with the dropping of Unholy Death Knight being one of the best comps for a caster cleave. Overall, I got to say Outlaw a major winner here. I do think they are still tied to way too much RNG gameplay style in their
[04:38] nonsense in general, but their consistency is absolutely there. You got Adrenaline Rush every 45 to 60 seconds, very high burst damage pairing with Between the Eyes back-to-back Apex Talent as well as Blade Rush. I don't
[04:53] they have incredibly high consistent damage and they jumped up substantially more this patch and I'm really excited to say that. As much as it pains me to the Augmentation Evoker. This is a spec that's dominated throughout the entirety
[05:08] of the season so far in the highest levels of content. Augmentation is just simply one of those specs that either works or it doesn't based off class balancing. And right now the numbers are swinging the pendulum in its favor and
[05:21] moment, man. Uh now, it's important to know, yes, this is a spec that requires That's why you only typically see them at the highest level, but being the only support spec in the game feels a little off to me. I still think they should add
[05:35] other support specs in the game to sort of figure out a way to make, you know, this a little bit more consistent rather than just a one-and-done. You either make or break being Augmentation being good or not, but nevertheless, got to
[05:48] though I hate giving it its own section. I love the concept of supports, just need more of them. Moving on next, another riser in the list is actually that's been pretty average throughout Midnight season 1 so far, and they're
[06:02] definitely not bad by all means, but heading into the raid now, their exceptional. They got some more focus generation, their Hogstrider for Pack couple of procs tied to Strike as One passive is doing a little bit better.
[06:16] And listen, it ain't much, but it's honest work. Not only that, with some of survival technically got nudged up a bit. So, there's a nice little, you upgrading, a couple specs dropping like Marksmanship, Unholy, Arcane Mage,
[06:30] survival's a winner. Is survival the best spec in the game? I don't think so, profile, at least for a raiding environment. They have great on-demand burst with a lot of their toolkit being baked in AoE like Strike as One,
[06:44] Boomstick, Wildfire Bomb, and even the new and improved Hogstrider from the overall, survival jumped up on the list. They're doing well right now, and there's nothing wrong with that. So, we'll definitely take that. And now,
[06:57] still sitting at the top of the leaderboards is Devourer Demon Hunter. level right now. And what makes this even crazier is they were already one of the best specs in the game before 12.0.5, but now they got some updates
[07:12] and changes. Their defensive capability got better, and actually, their damage technically got better here, and that comes with a sneaky little change from Blizzard made to the Ancient Ring enchant, which used to give around 1.25
[07:25] crit bonus, is now giving 2% crit bonus. And you may think, "Oh, that's not that actually is, because even though the spec doesn't really stack crit traditionally, it doesn't need to because Collapsing Star, which is one of
[07:39] the hardest abilities in all of World of Warcraft, is a guaranteed crit ability damage. So, when you suddenly increase crit effectiveness on an ability that of free damage out of nowhere. So, between that ring change, the buffs they
[07:54] capability increase, not only that, with the patch update, they're getting mythic track trinkets and other vault rewards as well as bonus rolls, devour demon hunters are realistically looking at like anywhere between a 5 to 8% damage
[08:07] increase overnight, which for a spec that was the best in the game and way ahead of everybody else, it is a little bit crazy. And this isn't just a rating is rating, this is just content in general and they're just dominating
[08:20] have the demonology warlock as well. They didn't really change at all heading them getting nerfed with their, you know, fell hunter kick change, which I little bit broken having two kicks. But demonology warlock, I like to think of
[08:34] them as the outlaw rogue equivalent to caster DPS. They just have incredibly consistent damage with all of their imp stealing AoE pressure, demonic tyrant bunch of damage, your apex talent is through the roof and all the minions
[08:49] portal. Overall damage of your hand of Gul'dan is doing nice getting all those imps out and then your felguard is doing AoE pressure as well. So, I mean, top to straightforward, consistent spec. Demonology is just a really good damage
[09:03] have on demand damage pretty much whenever they need when adds come out in a rating environment. So, everything's looking good for demonology still. Yes, shines. I'd say a bigger surprise here is I think balance druid also is
[09:18] starting to slowly rise on this list over the last month or so. As balance they're getting more item level stat priority, they're actually starting to come online and perform a lot better. They've gotten some updates over the
[09:31] profile potential, which is really solid because rotationally, they've always been in a fine spot. It's really numerically they've struggled, but now gear, patch updates, other changes and balance changes for them, balance druid
[09:45] is slowly rising and actually one of the better DPS specs in the game right now. they're meta? No, I don't think so because it's always going to have a problem with resto druid trying to get into the meta mythic plus category
[09:58] now. So, trying to take a balance druid over a resto is a little bit of a mean it's not a good spec at the moment for raid and potentially good for a caster cleave comp in a group that knows what they're doing. There's nothing too
[10:12] important to note that they're definitely rising on the list and technically a winner at the moment. And the last one is an honorable mention. We got to talk about shadow priest. This is a spec that suffered a lot in the first
[10:24] but the changes over the last like three, four weeks or so with damage single target execute, shadowy apparitions buff, psychic link damage increases. It's taking their damage profile and actually turning that into
[10:38] an incredibly consistent DPS prospect for mythic plus and raid. And with, you spread their cleave dots with pinnacle slam and just apply dots to everything good. Don't get me wrong, once again, I don't think shadow priest is meta by all
[10:53] means, but they are absolutely a top contender and they got some dog in them, just a good DPS profile, they can fight back. They got power infusion. They have They also bring their group buff. I got
[11:07] mention here. I think they're doing pretty good with all things considered and how the meta is shaped up right now. Also, at this point in the video and spoke about the winners, but now we do have to talk about some classes that
[11:19] definitely worth addressing. The biggest one by far is the unholy death knight. Going into 12.0.5, unholy was expected to actually get stronger. The spec was already very strong in mythic plus, and with the buffs coming in, it was
[11:33] supposed to move them up into that very high echelon top tier slot. But, instead has fallen all the way to the bottom of reason isn't entirely because of balance, it's mostly just bugs. So, if
[11:49] funny, go check out the Unholy Death Knight Discord right now. They are freaking out. But anyways, right now a huge portion of the spec's damage is Some of your core abilities and pets aren't getting the buffs they're
[12:01] missing ticks of damage after being extended, and even new abilities like the new Abomination disease cloud aren't even scaling correctly. So, all of that combined is just a massive nerf. We're talking about like 15-20% literal nerf
[12:15] in like 24 hours overnight. So, Unholy went the complete opposite direction uh I don't know how Blizzard could let something like this happen overnight, one day and then the next they're kind of swamp ass. But, the patch comes
[12:30] online and they barely work. It is what it is. They will get updated soon, but that actually took a massive hit overnight, dropping incredibly hard, is the Marksmanship Hunter. Now, this was a spec that once again was crushing it and
[12:45] environment and even Mythic Plus environment throughout Midnight season 1. And I got to say Blizzard, they just dropped the ball here with class changes. These are just design changes that did not land well at all for
[12:58] Marksmanship because on paper Blizzard tried to push Marksmanship into having, lot more consistent AoE, and maybe slightly better single target, but in reality, dude, they gutted what makes this spec strong. One of the biggest
[13:11] changes was to Precise Shots. It would speed up your rotation a lot and make Hunter feel really good. Your aim shots going off, them hitting a lot harder, and giving a lot of value during your big burst windows. But now, it got the
[13:23] nerf bat, and too much of the damage bonus just got cut significantly. You put out so many less aim shots overall in Mythic Plus and in a rating fight and overall the spec just doesn't feel where it should be right now. It It was doing
[13:36] cleave and burst damage windows got nerfed. That's where Marksmanship really thrived and earned their money. So even though Marksmanship's pure single target in a rating environment just went down to the gutter. So while Unholy Death
[13:49] Knight is down because it's broken, Marksmanship is down because it just was just reworked in a way that is not good. So yeah, it is what it is. Also ladies tier list in the next like week and a half or so after everything gets cleaned
[14:03] dialed in. We just wanted to give you guys some input on what classes are the biggest winners and losers so far and the potential new meta specs looking to dominate the 0.5 patch. Don't forget ladies and gentlemen to check out Raid
