Western Manga Company Disrespects Author and Has to Apologize Thanks to Backlash

[00:03] apologize for mistransations of a manga

[00:06] series where they forced in, and I'm not

[00:07] joking, gender, politics, and trans

[00:10] ideology into a manga that had nothing

[00:13] to do with it. This was something that

[00:15] happened back in 2022. However, the

[00:17] reason why this is relevant today is

[00:19] because the anime just got announced

[00:22] this morning. And now the main

[00:24] conversation on this is this that the

[00:28] main male characters of this story, the

[00:31] one that is crossdressing in particular

[00:33] is a trans icon. when that is so far

[00:37] from the case because even the official

[00:40] translations had to basically go out of

[00:43] their way and apologize that they were

[00:45] forcing in politics where it did not

[00:47] belong within a manga and butchering the

[00:50] original author's intentions and words

[00:52] and language just to be able to force in

[00:55] their own ideology. And who would have

[00:57] figured that the individuals behind

[00:58] this, the translators and localizers

[01:01] would be side by side with Katrina,

[01:03] which I have showed her in the past many

[01:05] times, but this is a very famous

[01:07] individual that has absolutely butchered

[01:09] gaming translations for like different

[01:11] Japanese games, but also manga and anime

[01:13] as well. So, this individual already

[01:15] knowing the translator and basically

[01:17] giving the seal of approval for the

[01:18] butchering of this series and then 7C's

[01:21] having to apologize for the butchering,

[01:23] I think really puts in perspective the

[01:24] type of situation that we're currently

[01:26] in. And so, after this colossal screw up

[01:29] that 7C's made and they basically just

[01:32] they left it to the wolves. threw the

[01:33] series to the wolves. We now have the

[01:35] entire discussion riddled with drama and

[01:39] basically misunderstanding from an

[01:41] improper translation that was released

[01:43] many years ago. And it's really

[01:45] infuriating because obviously there's a

[01:46] lot of breadcrumbs about this. I mean,

[01:48] even Reddit r/manga was outright upset

[01:52] with 7C's Entertainment's translation. I

[01:54] mean, when you have Reddit calling you

[01:56] out years ago about this, which is just

[01:58] insane. Yeah, now you screwed up pretty

[02:02] annoying cuz this just really goes to

[02:04] show that there is legitimate parasites

[02:07] that legit are hijacking manga and anime

[02:11] and using it as a vessel to push the

[02:14] same type of politics and ideology that

[02:17] we see in gaming from the west and media

[02:19] from the west, from Hollywood, from

[02:20] Disney, from Marvel. It is absolutely

[02:23] freaking annoying. This is literally

[03:10] story. That's it. But the problem here

[03:14] individuals taking a series and

[03:17] butchering the author's original

[03:19] intention and changing it for their own

[03:21] politics. Outright despicable. The other

[03:24] thing is is that this is already a boys

[03:26] love progressive work. It is literally

[03:28] two guys falling in love. Okay? And on

[03:31] top of that, it's that just because a

[03:34] guy wants to crossdress doesn't mean

[03:37] that he wants to be a woman. He just

[03:39] maybe wants to look feminine. There is a
