07:36[00:00] I don't know what to read there's so
[00:01] many manga volumes I'm just getting into
[00:02] and everyone says everything's the best
[00:03] volume and there's just too many to even
[00:05] pick from I don't know what to read calm
[00:07] down my beginner manga friend I'm here
[00:08] to tell you the way of manga and teach
[00:10] you exactly which ones you should be
[00:11] reading as a beginner so here we go
[00:13] let's get into my five recommendations
[00:14] for beginner manga readers to help you
[00:16] jump start your reading journey and not
[00:17] give you too many headaches let's go let
[00:19] me give you a breakdown of what I'm
[00:20] basing these mangas off of there's five
[00:22] key components to a beginner manga for
[00:24] me number one the art needs to be clean
[00:26] if the art is super hard to read super
[00:27] dark super cluttered it's not going to
[00:29] be in here all of these mangas I'm going
[00:30] to recommend are going to have easy art
[00:32] that's going to be easy for you to read
[00:33] while your eyes get used to reading
[00:34] manga number two they have to be readily
[00:36] available if they're not readily
[00:37] available they will not be on the list
[00:39] number three is going to be the story
[00:40] the story is going to be simple but good
[00:42] I don't think you should be reading
[00:43] anything that is mind-blowing yet
[00:44] because you're just getting into reading
[00:45] manga for the first time and you're
[00:46] probably going to miss a lot of things
[00:48] if the story is over overwhelming when
[00:50] you're still trying to like figure out
[00:51] how to read it to begin with number two
[00:53] or number four whatever it is they need
[00:54] to be cheap I am not going to be
[00:55] recommending anything that's going to
[00:56] cost you tons of money like berserk I
[00:58] see some people recommend berserk
[00:59] berserk Deluxe is $50 a book and there's
[01:01] 14 of them do the math on that it's like
[01:03] $700 no no no no no I'm not going to be
[01:05] recommending bleach one piece even
[01:06] though bleach is my favorite manga it's
[01:08] long and it's expensive I know it's not
[01:09] good for beginners and lastly they have
[01:11] to look cool you're building a
[01:13] collection you want it to look cool we
[01:14] all do trust me I that's the only reason
[01:17] I have all this is to look cool I'm
[01:19] kidding yeah they need to have cool
[01:20] spines that look on a shelf when lined
[01:21] up and they need to have cool covers so
[01:23] all these series are going to follow
[01:24] those five recommendations but um yeah
[01:25] let's get into it so at number five we
[01:27] have this beautiful series called sack
[01:30] days which follows this old fat man
[01:32] named Taro Sakamoto who in his prime was
[01:35] Japan's most legendary Hitman to ever
[01:36] exist now he's a middle-aged fat man who
[01:39] runs a convenience store so unfortunate
[01:41] he is wrote back into the world of
[01:43] hitman's um when some of his old
[01:45] acquaintances and enemies come back and
[01:47] kind of rope him out of it so it's a
[01:49] super cool series it's a very simple
[01:51] series basically a battle shown in um
[01:54] not even a battle shown in just a battle
[01:55] manga where this is actually the main
[01:57] character and him and Sakamoto go on
[01:59] these Ventures together and fight the
[02:01] enemy at hand um it's super cool because
[02:03] the art and choreography is almost the
[02:05] art and choreography might be the best
[02:07] choreography fights in manga that I've
[02:09] read the choreography is ridiculous the
[02:10] art is super good too and clean to read
[02:12] yeah so Sakamoto days has some of the
[02:14] coolest covers as of now I would say
[02:17] like some of these covers are ridiculous
[02:19] they are probably untouched in the manga
[02:21] scene if we're being honest with
[02:22] ourselves like these covers are
[02:24] absolutely ridiculous and the spines
[02:26] look super good as well in Sakamoto days
[02:28] so definitely check out Sakamoto days
[02:29] that's my number five recommendation
[02:31] let's jump into the number four number
[02:32] four is going to Kaiju number eight I
[02:35] don't know if you guessed it you
[02:36] probably could have Kaiju number eight
[02:37] is a great beginner manga because of how
[02:39] simple the story is and how clean the
[02:40] art is the art in this might be easier
[02:42] to read especially in fight scenes than
[02:43] Sakamoto days but the art in this is
[02:45] super easy and clean to read the covers
[02:47] are awesome and super colorful and
[02:49] vibrant the spines look amazing on the
[02:51] Shelf like amazing the colors are crazy
[02:53] overall gist of Kaiju number eight is
[02:55] Japan is overruled with monsters called
[02:57] Kaiju and there's a special forces team
[02:59] that has put together to fight these
[03:00] Kaiju off and keep them keep people out
[03:02] of Harm's Way when Kafka the main
[03:04] character is enrolled into this Special
[03:06] Forces Unit and then they go on a
[03:08] cleanup type of mission he is infected
[03:10] with a special Kaiju something um I
[03:13] don't want to spoil too much and then he
[03:15] becomes half Kaiju half human he is has
[03:18] crazy abilities um he can turn into a
[03:20] Kaiju and fight them so it kind of
[03:22] follows him there are crazy characters
[03:23] in this super cool characters as well
[03:25] the story isn't anything Earth
[03:27] shattering but it's fun it's engaging
[03:29] and it's easy to read and that's what
[03:30] we're here for as a beginner so they're
[03:32] cheap they're like $10 a book so and
[03:34] there's 10 of them so like 100 bucks for
[03:35] all of them it is ongoing but um yeah
[03:37] look at some of these covers the colors
[03:39] on these are so I don't even know if the
[03:41] camera does them Justice that's kij
[03:43] number eight you need to be reading KY
[03:44] number eight as a beginner baby let's
[03:46] get into the number three
[03:47] recommendations we're going to switch it
[03:48] up a little bit all righty my third
[03:49] recommendation recommendation for you
[03:51] guys is going to be Tokyo Ghoul and
[03:53] Tokyo gou re obviously pretty much knows
[03:55] what this is the anime did not do it
[03:57] justice at all so Tokyo Ghoul has to be
[03:59] on this list I know some people might be
[04:00] like oh it's too deep for beginners it's
[04:02] too dark I think but I don't want to
[04:03] give you guys all bunch of Basics shown
[04:05] in New Gen obviously some of them are
[04:06] really good to get into to start getting
[04:07] into manga but I think Tokyo Ghoul this
[04:09] was the first like full series I ever
[04:11] read and it was awesome this is probably
[04:13] one of the most well-written and unique
[04:15] sanss I've ever read it's super dark but
[04:18] also easy to read so I haven't had I
[04:20] didn't have any issues depicting what
[04:21] was actually going on in the panels
[04:22] whereas some other mangas who do Dark
[04:24] Art they make it really kind of blend
[04:26] together and it gets hard Tokyo Ghoul
[04:27] does has a good way of not doing that
[04:29] but the basic gist is you have the main
[04:31] character Ken kaneki who is a young
[04:34] innocent boy who loves reading books and
[04:36] he goes to his favorite coffee shop
[04:37] every day and he meets this girl named
[04:39] Rise um they start hanging out they
[04:41] start talking books she's super into
[04:42] books he finds out she's a ghoul and she
[04:44] tries to eat him and kill him and then
[04:45] she ends up dying she ends up dying and
[04:47] he is barely half alive after being
[04:49] attacked by her her organs are
[04:51] transplanted into him and now he is half
[04:53] cool and half human and now he goes
[04:55] through these struggles of trying to fit
[04:57] into Both Worlds and he does not do good
[04:59] because
[05:00] to be a ghoul you can't eat food you
[05:02] have to eat humans and he's a little kid
[05:03] who was human so eating humans for him
[05:05] is not really on the table and is very
[05:07] traumatizing so he doesn't really know
[05:09] he starts going insane little spoiler he
[05:11] eventually does crash out completely and
[05:13] become super op and literally insane
[05:15] like mentally insane so Tokyo Ghoul is a
[05:17] crazy like tragic hero story that you
[05:19] should be reading if you're into manga
[05:20] this is for an older audience so if you
[05:23] are young like 10 12 I don't know if
[05:25] you're watching this if you're 10 but I
[05:26] wouldn't recommend this but if you are
[05:28] 16 plus I would say this is great story
[05:30] that you'll understand the themes enough
[05:31] being old enough so definitely check
[05:33] this out again the covers
[05:35] are um super cool like I said the covers
[05:38] of this are are super cool so that fits
[05:39] into the category also it's super cheap
[05:41] you can get both box sets I think box
[05:43] set one of Tokyo Ghoul is like 100 110
[05:46] bucks box set two is like 160 so you're
[05:48] getting this whole series of 30 volumes
[05:49] for like 200 bucks or something 250
[05:51] bucks so definitely fits that and it um
[05:54] has cool spines the spines all line up
[05:56] and they are super clean so you need to
[05:57] check out Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo goul if
[06:00] you're a beginner um but yeah let's get
[06:01] to the next righty the number two
[06:03] recommendation is here and that is jujuu
[06:06] kaisen a lot of you might be screaming
[06:07] right now ju sucks not even Good Ju is
[06:11] not even Good Ju is the worst of dark
[06:12] tra shut it Chumps it's my
[06:14] recommendation list and ju ka's number
[06:16] two I recommend this to almost all my
[06:18] friends who are just getting into manga
[06:19] because I think it's a super good entry
[06:21] way that's super fun and engaging but
[06:22] also not super deep jjk is again another
[06:25] kind of simple story it is about follows
[06:27] a kid named Yuji itadori who is a high
[06:29] Schooler in a world where Japan is
[06:31] overrun with cursed Spirits only people
[06:33] with cursed energy can see and fend off
[06:36] the only way a normal person can see
[06:38] cursed Spirits is in a life or death
[06:40] situation which Yugi is put into and he
[06:42] ends up consuming a cursed object that
[06:44] he was chasing for his Ghost Hunter club
[06:46] that is of sua the main the main
[06:48] antagonist in this story he then has sua
[06:50] as part of him inside of him he is
[06:52] luckily a super strong like superum
[06:55] strong kind of person who is able to
[06:56] fend him off internally and control his
[06:59] own body still so it he then after now
[07:02] acquiring this cursed energy and being
[07:03] able to fight cursed Spirit the magic
[07:05] Technical College which he trains under
[07:07] Satur Gojo probably the coolest
[07:09] character in manga I don't know maybe
[07:11] not he's so cool though and I love him
[07:13] any character with white hair you know
[07:14] is going to be cool but yeah it's a
[07:16] super cool series it's of the dark Trio
[07:17] so it is Shonen but it is a little bit
[07:19] of a darker take on Shonen which is cool
[07:21] so you need to check this out the Art's
[07:22] great the characters are great the
[07:23] covers are super cool as well this
[07:25] Volume 14 is actually one of my favorite
[07:27] covers in my collection but yeah that is
[07:29] um that is going to be my second
[07:31] recommendation juuk kais and let's get
[07:33] on to my last recommendation which a lot
[07:34] of you probably haven't even heard about
[07:36] so I'm excited to recommend it a lot of
[07:37] you might be pissed at I'm recommending
[07:39] this cuz you're like oh it should be
[07:40] bleach or one piece no one this is my
[07:42] list two I want to put you guys on to
[07:44] some heat and that heat and my
[07:46] number one recommendation is Alice and
[07:47] Borderland Alice and Borderland is one
[07:49] of my favorite mangas probably in my top
[07:51] three just because of how awesome the
[07:53] story is you're going to read a lot of
[07:54] manga in your journey that you're
[07:56] starting and a lot of it's going to seem
[07:57] kind of similar definitely going to be
[07:58] some different point points and
[07:59] abilities and Power Systems but it's
[08:01] kind of going to be a little bit similar
[08:03] Alice and Borderland everything's here
[08:04] Alice and borderland's here the story is
[08:06] of like nothing you've read before
[08:07] especially since you're a beginner but
[08:09] it's like nothing you'll read again so
[08:10] you'll read this and you won't read
[08:12] another Series be like oh it's kind of
[08:13] the same gist but Alison Borderland is
[08:15] going to be San so it is going to be
[08:17] geared a little bit towards more adults
[08:19] um it does have darker themes in it but
[08:21] it follows um arisu I think that's how
[08:23] you pronounce it I don't know and he is
[08:25] a um kind of lost teenager who doesn't
[08:29] really where he's going in life and what
[08:30] to do with life and he's kind of over it
[08:32] he then gets transported to like a
[08:33] parallel world a parallel world that is
[08:35] almost in the future and it's run down
[08:37] and there's nobody there him and his
[08:38] friends are transported there he finds
[08:40] that the only way to survive in this
[08:41] world is to play Death game with the
[08:43] other players in this parallel world so
[08:45] he then goes through all of these
[08:46] different games trying to survive if you
[08:48] don't play the games you die if you play
[08:50] the games and lose you die the only way
[08:51] to win and survive in this world is
[08:53] playing these games and trust me Guys
[08:55] these games are so cool they're so
[08:57] thought out and well written that
[08:58] they're each everyone is so engaging and
[09:00] fun to read that you're going to love
[09:02] every single one and you're going to
[09:03] wish there was more games to read
[09:05] definitely check out aliceon Borderland
[09:07] it is also cheap I think there's nine
[09:09] volumes the covers are super cool and
[09:11] they're also probably the best quality
[09:13] um omnibuses I've ever read these are
[09:15] two in one volumes also the spines all
[09:17] linked together and form a city when put
[09:20] together which is super cool I'll guess
[09:21] in Boll of that but um yeah Alison
[09:23] Borderland is awesome there is the live
[09:25] action on Netflix but it's not as good
[09:27] as the manga trust me I've watched both
[09:29] watched it and I read this so you need
[09:31] to check out Alison Borderland if you're
[09:33] a beginner because one I'm recommending
[09:35] it and I'm awesome two it's super good
[09:36] and super fun and it's going to be like
[09:38] nothing you've read so far I promise so
[09:40] check out Alison Borderland as my number
[09:41] one recommendation but yeah that is my
[09:43] list for you beginners I hope you
[09:45] enjoyed all of them they're all going to
[09:46] be great reads for you they're all going
[09:47] to be easy cheap engaging and easy to
[09:50] find and they're going to look good on
[09:51] your shelves so I hope you enjoyed if
[09:53] you did like follow or if you did like
[09:56] subscribe and comment which one you're
[09:58] going to read next but um yeah that's
[10:00] everything so I'll catch you
