This 'toilet sticker' plunger is a disaster
53sThe absurdity of a sticker-based plunger immediately hooks viewers, with the creator's disgust adding comedic value.
▶ Play Clip"The title is vague but accurate—the video lives up to it by delivering exactly what it promises: a scathing critique of a ridiculous invention."
The video is a satirical review of the Pongu, a toilet sticker that claims to replace a traditional plunger. The creator argues that it is not only ineffective but also introduces health risks and wastefulness.
Initial speculation about having previously covered this product; introduces the Pongu sticker.
Describes how the sticker is applied and used—flush, then press to unclog.
Lists issues: single-use, requires close contact, and adhesive may fail.
Exalts the traditional plunger's range and reusability; contrasts with the sticker's drawbacks.
References CrazyRussianHacker video showing a similar product; notes the risk of the sticker giving way and water flying up.
Emphasizes health dangers like pink eye and E. coli; concludes the sticker is worse than a basic plunger.
Final verdict: the traditional plunger is reliable; the sticker is a wasteful, unsafe 'innovation'.
Overengineering creates new problems
Shows how adding complexity to a simple tool can introduce more issues than it solves.
02:30Plunger keeps distance
Highlights the importance of keeping the user safe from contamination, a key design principle.
03:11Comparing products via demonstration
Uses a real-world example (CrazyRussianHacker's video) to illustrate the failure point.
06:43Simplicity in design
Argues that the traditional plunger is already optimized, and attempts to improve it often backfire.
09:29[00:02] a stack of Bibles that I'd already made a video yapping about this atrocious toilet plunger alternative. I thought I had made a video covering it years ago, but I can't find it anywhere on my channel. So maybe I never did. Or
[00:16] perhaps it's an implanted memory that's just false. It's all make believe and I'm a clone from Ewan McGregor's The Island. Who's really to say? But it's something that I have been aware of. It's a toilet sticker that serves as a
[00:29] plunger substitute and it is just the worst possible idea. And I got sent a video of it failing today. Someone sent me this in an email and they were
[00:41] ever thought this was a good idea. And I again I thought I had covered this but I guess not. I have a fascination with terrible inventions. I've made countless videos covering them. I've covered kick charters out the wazoo that are just
[00:54] these terrible inventions that Jimmy Neutron would have never even put a single smidgen of elbow grease into. Like just terrible ideas top to bottom. I love those. I love testing them too when I can get my hands on them. This
[01:08] one I will never test because it is so abhorent and just revolting. It's called the Pongu toilet uh plunger I think is the official name of it. It's Pongu. >> This is poo. Well, it's not, but we all
[01:21] know it's supposed to be. And we've done this. We've all done this before. Oh, it didn't go down the What are we going to do now? Get your plunger, they said. No, no, no. The Korean Pong 2 will do for this particular number two. I hope it
[01:34] inflate. You give it a little CPR, a few chest compressions, and that poo. She's Do we have an HR department? Can you check and see if it's okay that we say poo? I'm not your boss, but you do have my permission to not only say poo, you
[01:49] can say [ __ ] You can say whatever the [ __ ] you want. Now, there's a couple Pong two is the one that I remembered, but that's in a nutshell how it functions. You get a sticker and you
[02:02] firmly plant that on the toilet and seal it in like a sarcophagus and then you pray that the adhesive doesn't give way. You flush the toilet, it starts to fill up, and then as he said, you just give it some CPR there. You just press on it
[02:16] and it unclogs your toilet. Now, if you've got your thinking caps on, you can immediately recognize that this introduces a multitude of new problems to the plunging process that the good old-fashioned stick plunger never had.
[02:30] This is an overengineered abomination here. So, first and foremost, you're stickers. You can't just keep using them over and over. I I know a couple of them claim to be reusable. I don't see how the adhesive is going to lose its
[02:45] strength over the course of numerous uses. Plus, who wants to reuse the [ __ ] toilet sticker that had a bunch of like feces and pee and poop all up in it like bubbled up touching the actual plastic of it. You're not going to want
[02:58] to like keep that in a drawer or something to use it again later. You're going to throw it away. Plus, now you're actually getting up close and personal you've got some distance. It's like a spear. And a spear, as you all know,
[03:11] changed warfare back in the ancient days. You know, our primal ancestors when the spear came along, [ __ ] me, dude. That was like a like the a nuke coming into the equation. The plunger did the same thing. It keeps you at a
[03:24] distance and the enemy at bay in the toilet. So, you can just plunge it and you don't have to worry too much about getting yourself covered in all the foul contents of the porcelain throne because you have range on it. This forces you
[03:37] into CQC. This forces you to get up close and personal with all of it. You got to crawl Maggaw there and just press on the actual dirty water and all the the filth and and sludge in there. It's so disgusting as a concept and it does
[03:53] nothing better than the plunger. The plunger is much more direct. This is the entire thing just gets blasted. Again, the plunger you've got distance. It's not gonna like, you know, clap back at you with crazy recoil and start, you
[04:07] know, spitting your way. Like, very rarely is it going to do that. It be one hell of an anomaly if that did happen, you know, frequently with the plunger. This just introduces a plethora of issues, all of which can be detrimental
[04:21] to your health. So, like again, since you have to put it on the toilet itself, you're immediately getting in there and getting all of that much closer to you. introduces a lot of ways that it can
[04:34] when it works optimally, you still have touching all that disgusting [ __ ] that was in there that you were plunging with that. Whereas with a plunger, you never have to do that. It's just all this is
[04:49] is just much worse across the board. Like what problem does it aim to solve here with the traditional plunger? Ah man, if only there was a way I could get much closer to all of the contaminants in there. If only there was a way I
[05:03] in there. If only there was a way I could use my own tool palms to unclog this toilet instead of this stick instead of this device that keeps me at a distance. Eureka, I've got it. What if I put a piece of plastic over it so I
[05:16] can start, you know, pressing on it? Yes, there's the solution to the non-existent problem. And then another issue, the plunger can be used numerous times. A plunger is something that you buy one of and you have it for the rest
[05:30] of your [ __ ] life. You get buried with that thing. Here you'll be going with that thing. Here you'll be going through like tons of toilet stickers for the same task. It's just wasteful. It's just complete waste. Like what what
[05:45] problem is it aiming to solve? All it is doing is introducing tons and tons of new problems. Now, as I mentioned, I'm pretty sure there's multiple different kinds of toilet sticker plungers. So, Crazy Russian Hacker has a video from I
[06:00] think it's like four years ago where he's showing the same concept, but I think it's a different brand. Got it here. New toilet plunger. here. New toilet plunger. Okay, let's see.
[06:16] Flush it and then purse it.
[06:30] plunger. >> I'll let you know right here. I think it sucks. [ __ ] man. I think this [ __ ] is disgusting. I think it is the worst possible version of a plunger. It takes what a plunger is good at, makes it
[06:43] worse, and then puts you in the front lines in the trenches on the battlefield lines in the trenches on the battlefield with it, requiring your analog input, with it, requiring your analog input, like your own your own, you know, hands,
[06:56] your own bear paws on the actual poop and pee. It's [ __ ] stupid. Like again, there are just so many problems that this introduces. So, this brand that CrazyRussian Hacker is showing here is the brand that the video that I got
[07:12] to or a different one, but it's the same concept. And watch what happens. It's a concept. And watch what happens. It's a nightmare.
[07:39] is a very real problem that can happen when using a toilet sticker plunger. It could just give out and then all of a sudden you're going double fisting into your dirty clogged toilet and then the water's shooting up into your face.
[07:53] getting that in all your mucous membranes and [ __ ] bro. Like, that could actually cause legitimate issues. The most obvious being like pink eye or something like that. But who knows what else you could get from this [ __ ]
[08:07] turbo E coli. It could be anything. Like it's just this is a worse plunger and is far more dangerous to your health than just using the good oldfashioned stick
[08:19] plunger. It's just one of those things that does exactly what it needs to in that does exactly what it needs to in the exact way it should. Like prioritizing your safety and efficacy of getting the [ __ ] unc unclogged. Like I
[08:33] getting the [ __ ] unc unclogged. Like I don't think there is a big improvement to a normal plunger. Like surely there is something like I know there's like the plunge gun the plunger
[08:46] gun where they stick it in there lodge it in and then it shoots so like like a hydraulic blaster to push everything down the pipes. Or there's another one that uses air or something. I don't know if that's necessarily better. I feel
[09:00] issues too if it's too strong and could like break something down there like but regardless the normal plunger is still probably your best bet especially over something like the toilet sticker plunger. It's there's just some things
[09:15] that have existed for a long time and will probably still exist in the exact because it kind of did exactly what it needed to. The one I always default to needed to. The one I always default to is doors. Doors do exactly what they
[09:29] need to do optimally. I don't think there is an improvement to be made to doors. And I think plungers are pretty close as well. And every time they try with something like this, it's a catastrophe. Like again, could that
[09:44] video be fake? Yeah. But the problem that it's exhibiting is a very real one, a legitimate one. That is something that can happen and is impossible to happen with just a normal plunger. So, what the [ __ ] is the point of this invention?
[09:56] It's stupid. It's extraordinarily stupid. I love bad inventions like this. hands on some of these to test them. This one, no. Absolutely not. This is too gross. So, I'm not going to test it or anything, but I just wanted to
[10:13] blabber about it because I got reminded of it with that that message today. And I thought I'd already talked about it, but I guess not. But regardless, that failure horrific. That is that is a horrific problem to have with your
[10:27] plunger. So, yeah. Anyway, maybe it's not the best idea to be just putting your life, your health, your safety on in the hands of really cheap plastic
[10:39] that you have to massage onto your toilet and pray that it doesn't break. toilet and pray that it doesn't break. Anyway, that's really about it. See you.
