The Traffic Light Trading Hack That Made $3K
48sPresents a simple, unconventional strategy with a dramatic profit result, sparking curiosity and potential controversy.
▶ Play Clip"Title promises a winning signal but delivers a basic stochastic tweak with heavy self-promotion and a single loss."
This video presents a simplified trading strategy for the Pocket Option platform, replacing the traditional stochastic oscillator crossover method with a color-coded 'traffic light' system. The creator demonstrates how to set up the indicators and walks through several trades, claiming to grow an initial $87 balance to $3,052, while also highlighting a scenario where the system fails due to market chop.
Most traders wait for two stochastic lines to cross, which is slow and causes missed signals. The creator removes the second line to speed up entries.
The strategy uses a single stochastic line with color-coded zones: green (overbought, sell) and red (oversold, buy). No crossovers are needed—just zone entries and exits.
On a 30-second candlestick chart, set momentum period to 6 and stochastic K period to 5. Style the K line turquoise, turn off the D line, and color the 80 and 20 levels green and red respectively.
A sell is triggered when the stochastic exits the green zone downward and momentum crosses below 100. The trade opens with $87 and a 1-minute expiration.
The deeper the stochastic pushes into a zone before reversing, the stronger the reversal. Touching 80 is weak; reaching 95 signals a powerful move.
A sell signal fails because momentum was chopping back and forth across the 100 line, indicating no directional control. The stochastic was reacting to noise, not real signals.
Before entering, check if momentum is whipping across 100. If so, wait until it holds clearly above or below before taking the next stochastic exit.
A buy is taken when stochastic exits the red zone upward and momentum crosses above 100 after a sustained downward slide. This clean pivot confirms a real reversal, yielding $1,462 profit.
The traffic light stochastic system simplifies entries but requires momentum confirmation to avoid false signals in choppy markets. The creator emphasizes that momentum is the key filter for distinguishing real reversals from noise.
What is the 'traffic light' system in this strategy?
A single stochastic line with green (overbought) and red (oversold) zones, replacing traditional crossovers.
00:21
What are the settings for the momentum indicator?
Period 6, line color turquoise, full opacity.
01:06
What are the settings for the stochastic oscillator?
K period 5, K line turquoise, D line off, 80 line green, 20 line red.
01:34
What conditions trigger a sell signal?
Stochastic exits the green zone downward and momentum crosses below 100.
02:14
What does a deeper push into a zone indicate?
A stronger reversal; e.g., reaching 95 is more powerful than touching 80.
04:46
Why did the losing trade fail?
Momentum was chopping across the 100 line, indicating no market direction; stochastic was reacting to noise.
06:41
How do you filter false signals?
Check if momentum is whipping across 100; wait until it holds clearly above or below before entering.
07:34
What was the final balance after the trades?
$3,052, up from an initial $87.

Traffic Light System
Simplifies stochastic trading by removing crossovers, making signals faster and easier to spot.
00:21Zone Depth = Strength
Provides a quantitative way to gauge reversal power based on how deep the line enters a zone.
04:46Momentum Chop as a Filter
Identifies a critical failure mode where stochastic gives false signals in flat markets.
06:41Clean Momentum Pivot
Demonstrates the ideal entry: a decisive momentum crossover after a sustained move, contrasting with the loss.
08:07[00:07] and almost everyone uses it the exact same way. They wait for the two lines to same way. They wait for the two lines to cross. It's slow, boring, and you end up missing half of the signals. I do things differently. I completely got rid of the
[00:21] second line, left just one. I color coded the zones, green on top, red on the bottom, just like a traffic light. When it's The line hits the green zone, the market is overbought, so get ready to sell. When it hits the red zone, the
[00:37] to sell. When it hits the red zone, the market is oversold, so get ready to buy. No crossovers, no waiting around, just pure color. Started with 87 bucks, ended up with $3,052. But one of these trades was a loss, and
[00:52] that's exact loss will show you one place where this traffic light system glitches out. First things first, let's get our tools ready to go. I'm using classic candlesticks on a 30-second time frame. Then head over to the indicators
[01:06] tab and select momentum and stochastic oscillator. We'll set up the momentum first. Period six, then go to style. In the main line settings, set the line thickness to opacity all the way to the
[01:19] right and type to line. Set the line color to turquoise and then save it. oscillator. Set the K period to five, then go to style, make the K line
[01:34] turquoise, line thickness two. Turn off the D line completely, make the 80 line green, line thickness two, opacity all the way to the right. Make the 20 line red, line thickness two, and
[01:48] opacity all the way to the right as well. Then save it. Our indicators are ready to rock. If you trade on your phone, just set up everything the same way. On that losing trade, the traffic light
[02:00] is going to show you the green, but it's going to be a trap, and I'll explain exactly why when we get there. First signal, opening a sell trade for $87 with 1-minute expiration. Look at the stochastic. The turquoise
[02:14] line entered the green zone above 80, reversed, and started breaking down out of it. The market was overbought, and now it's cooling off. That's our first condition for our sell. Now look at momentum. The turquoise line is crossing
[02:28] momentum. The turquoise line is crossing below the 100 line from above. Momentum confirms it. The market is shifting into a downside move. That's the whole strategy. Stochastic exits the green zone downwards, plus
[02:40] exits the green zone downwards, plus momentum is below 100, means sell. Stochastic exits the red zone upward, plus momentum is above 100, it means >> Visual zones instead of messy crossovers, it's faster, simpler, and
[02:55] much easier to spot. And this is exactly why I removed the D line from the stochastic. It lags, it delays your entry. I need pure speed. The second that line enters the zone and reverses, I need to be in the trade. A
[03:10] second line just gets in the way. >> [music] clean win. The second trade is another sell, but pay close attention to how
[03:25] deep the stochastic pushed into the green zone before reversing. This tells you a lot about the strength of the move. Let me ask you a question. If you had a consistently profitable trader sitting right next to you every single
[03:38] day, and you could just watch what they do, copy their moves, and ask questions, would you turn that down? Probably not. [music] Well, that's exactly what happens in my Telegram
[03:51] group. I'm in there every day dropping trades, explaining my decisions, and breaking down the results. No just real execution. If you're not ready to trade manually yet, you can set up copy trading and your account will
[04:05] automatically mirror my exact trades in real time. Plus, inside the group, you get exclusive strategies and a community chat to help you handle any market conditions.
[04:17] Joining is completely free. The link to the group is in the description below this video. Opening a sell trade for $167, 1 minute expiration. Stochastic, the line pushed into the green zone,
[04:30] reversed, and is heading out. Momentum below 100, it's a sell. Here's the nuance. Look at how high the stochastic climbed into the green zone before it turned around. It didn't just tap the 80, it sailed way
[04:46] past it. The deeper the line cuts into the zone before reversing, the more overextended the market was. Which means you get much heavier push on the way If it just touches the 80 and instantly reverses, it's a weaker signal. If it
[05:03] shoots up to 95 and then turns, the market was stretched to its absolute limit, and the sellers are roaring back. The exact same principle applies to the red zones at the bottom. The deeper it goes, the more powerful the reversal is.
[05:28] in profit. Two out of two. The next few trades are up on the screen. Just keep watching. After that, we hit the loss, and that loss will explain exactly when and that loss will explain exactly when you cannot trust the green light.
[06:26] 1-minute expiration. Stochastic is exiting the green zone on the way down. Momentum is crossing the 100 line from top to bottom. On paper, everything looks perfect. Opening the sell, we're in, but here's what I missed. Look at
[06:41] the momentum line over the last few minutes. It didn't just cross the 100, it was literally chopping all over it. Up and down, up and down once again. The line was swinging back and forth across the middle like a pendulum. That tells
[06:55] you one thing, the market has zero direction. Neither buyers or sellers can establish control. Meanwhile, the stochastic was faithfully entering and exiting the zones because the price was flickering. Every time it felt it left
[07:10] the zone, it looked like a signal, but those weren't signals, it was just market noise. The market was stuck in flat chop, and the stochastic was simply reacting to random volatility.
[07:22] random volatility. >> [music] Before you enter, check the momentum line over the last few candles. If it's
[07:34] whipping back and forth across the 100 line, the market doesn't have directions. In conditions like this, the stochastic will feed you false breakouts. So, wait until momentum picks a side, either staying clearly above 100
[07:51] or clearly below it. Once it holds, the next stochastic exit will be the real deal. Final trade, opening a buy trade for $1,590 with 1-minute expiration. Now, this is a pristine entry. Stochastic line dipped
[08:07] into the red zone below 20, reversed, and is breaking out to the upside right now. Oversold, buyers are stepping back in. Momentum, the true ghost line crossed above the 100 from below, and here's the
[08:22] kicker. Notice how momentum wasn't chopping before this. It was in a steady downward slide, then it smoothly reversed and and crossed the 100 line once decisively. No hesitation, just a clean pivot. This is a real reversal,
[08:39] not a noise. Compare these to the losing trades. There, momentum was chopping across the line every three candles. Here, it's one clean crossover after a sustained move in one direction. The stochastic did the exact same thing in
[08:55] both cases, but momentum was the one that told you the truth here. that told you the truth here. >> [music]
[09:07] >> Cashing in $1,462 in profit. Final balance, $3,052. Look, the results speak for themselves. From $87 to color-coded stochastic is
[09:20] From $87 to color-coded stochastic is simple, highly effective the momentum indicator before pulling the trigger. If you want to trade right alongside me, or if you have questions, just shoot me a message on Telegram. The
