[00:27] aware of what we're doing here today I

[00:29] am it's it's an honor to be here hello

[00:30] everyone we are live today in the cars

[00:34] and bids

[00:35] Studio to talk about Tracy Chapman and

[00:40] fast car

[00:42] Sam did a song our friend Nick had never

[00:45] heard of until about a week ago week ago

[00:48] okay no we're going to discuss

[00:49] cars

[00:51] woo Sam has a car or two Kenan has a car

[00:55] we know Kenan this is Sam Sam was at the

[00:58] racetrack the other day we posted a

[00:59] video and now he's here in the studio

[01:01] and we're going to talk about cars yeah

[01:03] it's an honor to be here I've been

[01:04] around a little bit around coup videos

[01:06] we did a couple videos right I've been

[01:08] lingering in the background for a few

[01:10] years now so now it's just on on display

[01:13] Sam uh one interesting life event for

[01:16] Sam he was recently rejected for tickets

[01:18] to the

[01:19] quail I'll note that as was Kennon and

[01:23] everybody we knew and everybody every

[01:25] single person we knew I wasn't rejected

[01:26] now they were also rejected a week late

[01:28] because their Google form said it would

[01:29] have a week ago I emailed them they're

[01:31] like oh just ignore it right Doug wasn't

[01:33] rejected but he also doesn't remember if

[01:35] he submitted the okay I checked I

[01:37] checked what happened if you go on the

[01:38] quail website it says like check click

[01:41] here to be like kept informed of events

[01:45] and so I that was a Google form also and

[01:47] you told me it was a Google form so I

[01:48] just typed in my info so you just got

[01:50] the newsletter no ticket get the

[01:52] newsletter marketing so I did it I

[01:54] actually did that a second time

[01:57] yesterday and I was like wait a minute

[01:58] I've already done this and so I'm going

[02:00] to get multiple newsletters but I did

[02:01] not get enter the lottery for tickets

[02:04] but next year when they they'll tell me

[02:05] the tickets are coming and then I'll get

[02:07] them yeah like us this year yeah I've

[02:10] been what four years in a row and this

[02:12] is my first time not getting selected

[02:14] it's all right very upset we'll go to

[02:18] the Partridge nice I knew you going to

[02:22] pick some

[02:23] bird okay this is this is off to a poor

[02:26] start Sam why don't you tell us about

[02:28] the uh okay we have a bu of really cool

[02:30] cars ending today thankfully we have a

[02:32] lot and several of them are right in

[02:33] Sam's wheelhouse yeah one of one of them

[02:36] is this 991 Turbo S Coupe which we talk

[02:40] about all the time as being like one of

[02:41] the most competent all round cars yeah

[02:44] you know it's just blisteringly fast

[02:47] very reliable comfortable which for Sam

[02:50] and I is very much something we're

[02:51] interested in and just like it's all the

[02:53] more performance car you'd ever need

[02:55] it's just it's an insane car and this

[02:57] one seems quite nice too um you know a

[03:00] very desirable color combination now

[03:02] you're aware who's offering this for

[03:04] sale oh yeah a Westside collector car

[03:06] storage what's your play uh what is my

[03:09] Canon yours is a 525 uo oh yeah good

[03:12] call it's 525 uo yeah oh um which is how

[03:16] I felt when I owned my first BMW 525 I

[03:18] had a lot of money to just kept paying

[03:20] and just kept paying and paying to take

[03:22] care of a beautiful car I think if if I

[03:25] could daily Drive anything it would be a

[03:26] Turbo S but I think if you're going to

[03:28] daily a 911 you either want a base

[03:30] Carrera or a Turbo S it's my new Theory

[03:33] I'm a kind of a GT3 daily kind of guy

[03:35] yeah that's exactly what you're like

[03:38] yeah a career GT daily kind of guy I'm

[03:40] not me and um you know you're not

[03:43] hardcore enough but uh you know I get my

[03:46] jt3 every morning I get my bucket seats

[03:49] I'm a real race car driver Bouncing

[03:51] Around The Way work I'm a real race car

[03:53] driver then I get on Bluetooth it's like

[03:55] in a real race car got get are hello

[03:58] right yeah right power window G um okay

[04:02] so that's G to sell what let's before we

[04:05] get into today's auctions though which

[04:06] is this is one of them should we discuss

[04:07] some of the cars that we have on the

[04:08] site right now that are cool yeah so

[04:11] we've got we've got quite a few this car

[04:12] is sitting here in the shop now we can

[04:15] actively Ferrari F430 Spider with a

[04:17] stick conversion oh and 45,000 mil this

[04:21] is the 430 spider that I personally

[04:22] would buy this particular one this is

[04:25] what you want to do with these cuz we've

[04:26] sold manual converted cars we had a 599

[04:28] that stands out in my mind it had like

[04:30] less than a thousand miles some

[04:31] conversion you're never going to drive

[04:33] it because every mile you put on it you

[04:35] directly affects the value in a negative

[04:38] way whereas you buy one that has the

[04:39] miles you want to drive it and so by

[04:41] changing the transmission it adds to the

[04:43] driving experience you're going to use

[04:44] it makes a lot of sense for a car like

[04:46] this that is precisely correct oh what a

[04:49] good car a lot of red Interiors today

[04:51] very red very red yeah definitely a uh a

[04:54] really red interior this car is so cool

[04:57] though 45,000 mil this car in love with

[04:59] the 430 it only happened recently too I

[05:01] just like the more I saw them the more I

[05:04] was like wow a

[05:05] beautiful that gated manual don't you

[05:08] want that yes the fact that you're not

[05:10] bidding on this car is very annoying to

[05:11] me well I'm

[05:14] busy I have to say yeah click clocking

[05:16] in a Ferrari is great the thing I found

[05:17] that was interesting because I I drove

[05:18] it briefly was that uh it just the revs

[05:22] drop off very quickly um like I know the

[05:25] C you're used to the cage GT obviously

[05:26] which it just like the revs just drop

[05:28] the second you push the clutch p in the

[05:30] 430 is very similar like that too with

[05:32] the manual they drop really fast you got

[05:33] to shift it very quickly have you ever

[05:35] driven K's car oh yeah the the Dual Mass

[05:37] fly I have on my car is very heavy so

[05:40] when you put in the The Rev in his car

[05:43] is Wild is it similar to the E46 73 yeah

[05:46] it the revs drop approximately as

[05:48] quickly as they accelerate so like

[05:51] you're flored on a freeway on wrap you

[05:53] got plenty of time to rev match put the

[05:55] clutch

[05:56] in now a lot of people will put a

[05:58] lightweight flywheel on E m5s but the

[06:00] reason it's so heavy is for refinement

[06:02] so it doesn't chatter make noise and

[06:04] like and that's the when people put the

[06:06] lightweights on they just it's just like

[06:08] kind of it's really annoying really

[06:10] annoying so like that for a reasonable

[06:12] car and it's a comfortable car it's you

[06:14] know it's not a career

[06:16] [Music]

[06:17] GT this 430 is the coolest this 430

[06:20] really cool uh and I love the color

[06:22] combination too gasio Silverstone one of

[06:23] my favorite colors on the 430 I think if

[06:26] you could have any color on a 430 though

[06:27] what is it to France blue

[06:30] T FR blue blue swatters or uh Lon blue

[06:33] those are my favorite BL blue yeah

[06:35] they're very they are different between

[06:37] the three of them California California

[06:40] is nice now we're talking it's a good

[06:41] color too there a lot of great colors on

[06:43] the 430 oh every color yellow yeah Sam

[06:46] tell us why you you have not purchased

[06:47] an F430 yet I don't know I love my I

[06:50] drive a Boxster spider which has

[06:51] probably been seen but uh I love that

[06:54] car so much and I can't justify having a

[06:56] second convertible manual like sports

[07:00] car but I have been thinking like I've

[07:02] F1 has grown on me a lot and I'm like

[07:04] sort of into the like single clutch feel

[07:06] so if I could have Boxster spider and a

[07:08] 430 spider F1 I'm like into that it's a

[07:11] controversial take but I to I agree and

[07:13] I think you do as well there's something

[07:15] about it you pull the paddle and it's

[07:16] like when you're on it's a brutal shift

[07:18] like it's it's engaging and you still

[07:20] have to work with the transmission you

[07:21] have to blip it on downshifts it's kind

[07:22] of like fun and Charming it's not great

[07:24] but it is like it's mechanical I made

[07:26] this point like two years ago when I

[07:28] reviewed that 612 we sold and

[07:29] everybody's like oh you're Shilling for

[07:31] cars and bids because I'm like oh I kind

[07:32] of like F1 and now I got to review that

[07:34] Maserati coupe has that's a really

[07:37] that's a tough F1 very the same I don't

[07:40] think it's the same as 65 I think it's

[07:41] the same as the 355 okay but no it's

[07:43] better than the the 355 is F1 is right

[07:46] what was the first attempt yikes it's

[07:49] like the first attempt at computers it

[07:52] took up a whole up a whole

[07:54] building yeah I even that's exactly like

[07:58] exactly you know 55 gigantic car um

[08:02] Spruce Goose right but on the topic of

[08:06] uh of Sam there actually another car

[08:07] that's selling this week that i' like to

[08:09] go and that's of course the Boxster

[08:10] spider we got a boxer spider we have we

[08:12] have one on Wheel he clicked into the

[08:14] the interior photos that's why it was

[08:16] like that he had already clicked into do

[08:17] it he was pulling up all the all the T

[08:20] before the show started like you know I

[08:21] think I'll maybe take a look at this

[08:23] keness with this car I have taken a look

[08:25] at it Sam what are your thoughts on this

[08:26] box spider as an owner um I so generally

[08:28] I don't like guards red but on the boxer

[08:31] spider I think it's kind of fun and uh I

[08:34] disagree with black wheels on all cars

[08:36] so that's you know a personal preference

[08:38] but um interesting bumper sticker huh

[08:41] and it's got a sticker and that got the

[08:43] side sticker huh it had the side um but

[08:46] I don't know I there's some interesting

[08:48] mods to this car that I guess are the

[08:50] mods that people do to a boxer spider if

[08:53] they mod modify them um with those ipd

[08:56] PL intake plenum and the GT3 whatever

[09:00] but uh I don't know if that is effective

[09:03] but the intake noise on that car is

[09:05] pretty good from Factory and I think if

[09:07] that airbox increases that sound that

[09:10] would be pretty cool that would be a mod

[09:11] that I would actually consider doing um

[09:14] the Kon has become obsessed with the

[09:17] boxer spider it's become kind of a

[09:18] problem Kon would you like to share

[09:21] would you like to share your your

[09:22] obsession with I have covered it so many

[09:25] times but I'll do it again I think that

[09:27] I think that it's a perfect balance of

[09:28] everything you want I more want you to

[09:30] talk about like the

[09:33] situation what why I haven't bought one

[09:35] well yeah and also like you know like

[09:38] it's a that's a you know you want to get

[09:40] a boxer spider you know

[09:43] yeah yeah what of it I just love the

[09:46] boxar spider dearly but I just you know

[09:48] it's a it's an expensive

[09:51] car uh yeah right Ken's been throwing

[09:54] around like expensive cars like what

[09:56] else did he throw around 500e well no

[09:58] that was yeah there's a different

[10:00] application between the two ad last week

[10:02] we covered that I think right he wanted

[10:04] to get a Fiat 500e yeah and he told me

[10:06] just to drive the M5 which has not been

[10:08] great for it I mean it's getting like 11

[10:09] miles with a gallon because it doesn't

[10:10] really get warm so he complained because

[10:13] he used to live too far away that he had

[10:14] to drive too far now he lives too close

[10:16] he's complaining that his car doesn't

[10:17] warm up I live too close but not enough

[10:19] like I medium I very close to the office

[10:21] I can kind of like walk to work but I

[10:23] lived like too far from you like I can't

[10:25] I have to drive to get to tennis when

[10:28] when we go to play tennis

[10:30] and so like I know it's I know it's a I

[10:32] know these are deep first world problems

[10:34] but like so this car's got 60,000 miles

[10:38] on it 53 54,000 which you really never

[10:40] see him with high mileage I don't know

[10:42] why but when I was shopping for mine

[10:44] there were three white ones in Southern

[10:46] California for sale all with like 10 to

[10:49] 14,000 miles and I think I remember

[10:51] Farah actually mentioning a few years

[10:53] ago that like every one of these for

[10:55] sale has like 14,000 it's a little bit

[10:56] of a rougher ride so it's not and it's a

[10:59] car that unlike you most people probably

[11:00] aren't dailying I don't daily it either

[11:03] I attempted to when I I thought I would

[11:06] um I have

[11:07] 203,000 now you've driven a lot yeah

[11:09] like 10,000 miles in a year and I

[11:12] haven't been daily that's basically

[11:13] that's pretty much numbers Prett much

[11:15] daily use um these rarely come up this

[11:18] is a 981 yeah yes yeah it's interesting

[11:21] generally for sale they never come up

[11:22] like to find a comp for this probably

[11:24] wasn't easy cuz like they're not around

[11:26] they just don't trans ESP miles they're

[11:28] only offered for a single model year

[11:30] here um I think was it 860 or something

[11:33] like that if to the United States um

[11:35] like they're just not common so and it

[11:37] and it man is it hard to find them

[11:39] without black wheels it's a yeah but you

[11:41] can paint them Kevin will paint them

[11:42] yeah that's yeah I know we have the

[11:43] resources this car with silver Wheels

[11:45] would be look great yeah yeah red is

[11:47] cool plus you got the Florida wild

[11:48] flowers specialty license plate Ken any

[11:51] thoughts on that nope no none Florida's

[11:54] got great good PL look at that look at

[11:57] that wild flower kenon wild beautiful y

[12:02] uh okay what else you get for us kenon

[12:04] all right so uh the next car uh is one

[12:07] that you really love and that's the new

[12:10] WRX now do you want to discuss why you

[12:11] love this I just have fallen in love

[12:13] with the new WRX I like not I like don't

[12:15] not think about getting one I now have

[12:19] completely come around on how it looks I

[12:21] think it looks great white is not

[12:23] necessarily my favorite color I love the

[12:25] orange I love the blue I like the white

[12:26] I think it looks good um I love the

[12:29] powert train I think it's fantastic I am

[12:31] just like obsessed with the new WRX I

[12:33] have become truly and honestly obsessed

[12:35] with I see him on the street I'm like

[12:36] this guy so lucky I know there was one

[12:38] at cars in coffee last week like parked

[12:40] next to a mercy Lago and you went right

[12:41] up to it I just think it's so good it's

[12:45] just such a good car it's also still

[12:46] offered with a stick which this one is

[12:48] and it's just a great powertrain it's

[12:50] like the the perfect amount of like

[12:53] potency and and right in the middle of

[12:55] the Rev range great response you don't

[12:56] have to ring it out for good power it's

[12:58] got a lot of power it feels good I like

[13:00] love this car I really do and I think it

[13:02] looks good I don't know I've completely

[13:04] come around on how it looks the one we

[13:06] saw cars in coffee had all the clading

[13:07] paint the clading painted looks Terri

[13:09] looked odd the cladding painted looks

[13:11] terrible what I've discovered is the

[13:13] everybody gave it crap for having this

[13:14] unpainted cladding when it first came

[13:15] out and now we saw one that had painted

[13:17] cladding wasn't better and we've learned

[13:19] why they didn't paint the CL probably

[13:21] tried it both ways and we're like ah y

[13:23] we can't do that but you can't tell me

[13:25] this doesn't look a little like a stado

[13:27] when I first saw this car I was off

[13:29] looks I have come around a little bit

[13:31] looks like little bit also it's become

[13:32] clear that this is kind of the end I

[13:34] don't know if you guys have followed

[13:35] this but there's no STI they're not

[13:36] going to do one and like Subaru doesn't

[13:38] screw with these cars anymore they just

[13:40] don't care they're selling cross trcks

[13:42] and and you know Outbacks and that kind

[13:44] of thing and they don't want to screw

[13:45] around with wrex's they're like done

[13:47] with that crowd it's like a it's a crowd

[13:49] of people they'd rather just not deal

[13:50] with like they don't want them in their

[13:52] dealerships they don't want them walking

[13:54] around they don't want them modding

[13:56] their cars vaping yeah vaping big in the

[13:59] service lounge they don't need to go

[14:00] through that okay we got this 991

[14:03] closing all right yeah so this 991 is

[14:04] closing watch this for a little B and

[14:06] then we'll do some questions but yeah uh

[14:08] how many miles 477 it's been driven the

[14:10] point twos are still big money um even

[14:12] the0 ones are they came down pretty

[14:14] quick to like half MSRP which was like

[14:16] 115 something like that I could be a

[14:19] little high on that but um the point tws

[14:22] bring big money probably 140 is a good

[14:25] 130 wow even with 47,000 miles yeah I

[14:28] mean from what I see cuz I only see the

[14:30] ones that are like listed for sale so I

[14:32] don't know what they're really

[14:33] transacting for but um yeah I would kill

[14:37] to daily one of these so yeah I've been

[14:39] looking right and this is an S so how

[14:41] much power does this have 550 550 550 PK

[14:46] it's relatively comfortable it's a dream

[14:48] car might as well be 700 they feel so

[14:50] much faster than with with four-wheel

[14:52] drive and pdk they are fast fast car I

[14:55] was blown away by that cab that I drove

[14:56] that we had on the site and man it just

[14:58] just it just does everything and yeah

[15:00] you lay into it it's like oh my God this

[15:02] is fast this as fast as a VAR on to 60

[15:05] it can do it all day long like it's just

[15:07] like it's a very impressive car

[15:09] allaround impressive car pdk do they

[15:11] still have launch control in these oh

[15:12] yeah pdk and launch control is like and

[15:14] four-wheel drive start is like a wild

[15:16] Wild Thing 1175 the bids the bids are

[15:19] even when the 97 Turbo S came out that

[15:22] car had crazy 0 to 60 numbers probably

[15:25] because of pdk and launch control and

[15:27] all that but they've only continue to

[15:29] improve it and I've been in one of those

[15:31] for a launch it's hard to imagine this

[15:33] is that much faster but it really is

[15:35] this is a great da what would be really

[15:37] great would be a 0.1 nons because those

[15:40] are

[15:41] now what are those 100 a little more

[15:44] than that I I could be a little high on

[15:47] that but I haven't seen any sell for

[15:48] less than a 100 but still like it's kind

[15:50] of in that range

[15:52] right yeah there's 120 for a 14 there's

[15:56] a 13 model bids to 75 there's a 13 that

[15:59] went up to 80 that sold after at 80 90

[16:02] he's clicking like a oh that's a point

[16:04] too turbo though like someone turbo not

[16:06] not an S yeah about but this felt like

[16:09] the generation where everyone got turbo

[16:11] SES you rarely see turbos yeah right and

[16:15] and if you could afford a a turbo you

[16:17] probably could get to a Turbo S like I

[16:19] look at that 15 look at that 15 that was

[16:21] 16,000 mies sold for 102 that was a good

[16:24] deal 100 grand for that to drive that

[16:25] and it's not really going to lose much

[16:27] value from here you got to figure

[16:28] interesting that's a really good deal

[16:30] it's a cool car I should have bought

[16:31] that yeah you should have you should

[16:33] have a lot of these came with people

[16:35] optioned adaptive cruise too just the

[16:37] dream yeah but not many not many some

[16:41] 992s seem to have a lot more people who

[16:44] ticked that box for some reason well

[16:46] it's becoming more of a luxury car and

[16:47] people are starting to understand the

[16:48] benefit of that where only you and me

[16:50] understood it for the last five years

[16:51] right I once made a video about why I

[16:52] love it so much nobody watched it nobody

[16:54] cared meanwhile people are driving

[16:55] around using their feet right and and

[16:59] texting and texting yeah if you're going

[17:01] to text let the computer drive for you

[17:02] this the bidding is still going by the

[17:04] way it's at 1220 Ken what's coming up

[17:06] next wow okay so let's see so the next

[17:09] car after that one uh we have is an ISF

[17:12] which

[17:15] is stock wheels I'll never forget seeing

[17:18] these are stock wheels I don't know they

[17:19] have a Lexus badge in the those are some

[17:21] Lexus stock wheel but I don't think

[17:22] they're ISF they may look like are those

[17:24] GSF stock wheels go down kenin what does

[17:26] it say see doesn't say but I don't think

[17:29] those are stock wheel especially not for

[17:30] an 11 they're could have been they could

[17:33] have also been options um but anyway

[17:35] Andrew Fountain would tell me the the

[17:36] truth yes I I've always really liked

[17:39] these cars they sound awesome they

[17:41] they're and it combines like combines

[17:43] what I like V8 sedan but with

[17:46] reliability uh which is very appealing

[17:48] and it's kept the values on these cars

[17:50] pretty solid they they haven't really

[17:52] dropped much lower than I thought they

[17:54] initially would I remember seeing this

[17:55] car new too at car shows and the like

[17:57] the sales people said it's the M3 killer

[17:59] and I was like yeah right but you know

[18:01] M3s found ways to kill themselves as

[18:03] they lunch their engines ain't that the

[18:04] truth every generation ding around the

[18:07] other cool thing about this car is it

[18:08] was subtle you had to know it has that

[18:10] little thing behind the front wheel you

[18:11] know and it has the hood bulge the tips

[18:13] and the exhaust AR aren't the I believe

[18:16] memory serves me like the bottom ones

[18:18] aren't real or something like that yeah

[18:21] something of that effect and those

[18:22] exhaust tips a lot of style but yeah but

[18:25] yeah but I adore these cars is that a 5

[18:27] L V8

[18:29] 5 L na8 5 L na V8 are they still using

[18:33] that same motor in the LC is that the

[18:35] same motor can't imagine they developed

[18:37] a new yeah that's probably true it's

[18:39] like the SL65 engine right just been

[18:42] around for a long time right those quad

[18:45] pipes those bizarre quad pipes what were

[18:47] they doing so many people hated that I

[18:49] don't know then Ferrari was like that

[18:50] looks good and then yeah the C had the

[18:53] Cali had it cuz this came out I feel

[18:54] like 08 and the Cali came out 09 is that

[18:57] how it went think that's right 10 memory

[18:59] Sayes me or 10 what does the is500 have

[19:02] do that has stacked exhaust tips too oh

[19:04] I don't know does it why did they not

[19:06] call that the ISF I guess they didn't

[19:07] want to put like the suspension and body

[19:09] work into it the problem with the is500

[19:11] is as as much as I love this car for

[19:12] being subtle the problem with the is500

[19:14] is too subtle it only has a badge you

[19:16] cannot tell yeah you they are all F

[19:18] Sports now and they all have the body

[19:20] kit right right Lex released one F car

[19:23] and they were like we're going to make F

[19:24] Sport a thing now that we've now that

[19:25] we've really gotten this brand to work

[19:27] for us and and boy do what are you

[19:29] talking about nobody's heard of this and

[19:32] boy do that yeah you can get an rxf

[19:33] sport no problem um okay Ken let me do

[19:37] some questions go go to some questions

[19:39] Kenan pick up one that you really want

[19:41] all right I need a second

[19:43] here um let's see why would ferari not

[19:47] offer a manual on the sp3 Daytona Andrew

[19:49] asks do they hate money feror seems to

[19:52] they they I think that there is a

[19:53] clientele if Ferrari were to offer a

[19:55] gated manual transmission on some car

[19:57] and I felt that it should have been the

[19:58] 296 they should have offered that car

[20:00] with a manual had they offered that it

[20:01] would sold off instantly everybody would

[20:03] have bought it like people Porsche has

[20:05] proven that people want manual

[20:06] transmissions it's just Ferrari has you

[20:09] know their technology is so dependent on

[20:11] how the transmission interacts with the

[20:13] the drivetrain and admittedly on the sp3

[20:15] Dayton it's so much power and it's so

[20:16] crazy already shifting gears yourself

[20:19] might be a lot with that car um but I

[20:22] don't understand why fori doesn't offer

[20:24] manual cars like Porsche does with these

[20:25] gt3s I I truly think it's because when

[20:28] the 57 when the 550 came out Ferrari

[20:30] after it came out Ferrari wanted

[20:33] feedback from their clients and so they

[20:35] went to their clients who bought those

[20:36] cars and asked what would you change

[20:37] about it and everybody wanted the F1

[20:39] transmission and I think Ferrari just

[20:41] stuck with that mentality of okay that's

[20:42] what people want the sales numbers were

[20:44] then low on manuals when they offered

[20:45] the manual on the 575 they were low on

[20:47] the F430 and but I'll give them some

[20:49] feedback like here's some feedback for

[20:51] Ferrari you're not a client anymore they

[20:53] they they like I this car I could buy a

[20:55] Ferrari I bought one of those here's

[20:57] some feedback for Ferrari uh 911 STS are

[21:01] selling for 200 Grand over sticker on

[21:03] the you know I mean 911rs were selling

[21:05] for

[21:06] $800,000 back when they were new and

[21:08] that was just a 911 with a manual

[21:09] transmission can you imagine how much

[21:11] over sticker manual transmission new

[21:13] Ferrari would go for and they're like

[21:15] you have to you have to develop the the

[21:17] transmission it takes a while okay do

[21:20] they care like don't all new Ferraris

[21:22] sell out anyway sf9 is are 300 under

[21:25] sticker and people are still waiting two

[21:26] years if there was a stick sf90 might be

[21:28] able to sell one that this is this is

[21:31] something for Ferrari here's a here's a

[21:33] tip if you made the sf90 with a stick

[21:36] maybe you could sell

[21:38] one I think they're selling them I think

[21:40] everyone's so desperate to get in line

[21:42] that you used to have to buy like a Cali

[21:44] and take like a 40 Grand hit on it yeah

[21:46] but give it time now you got to take

[21:47] here Problem by dumping by dumping these

[21:49] SF 9s down people's throats not

[21:52] everybody's going to be able to qualify

[21:53] for the next level of car and there's

[21:54] going to they're going to sour their own

[21:56] situation people are going to be like I

[21:58] water an sf90 you owe me because I took

[22:00] a $300,000 bath on this trash car that

[22:03] nobody wants you owe me I'm not wrong

[22:05] you owe me an allocation for something

[22:07] really special then they're going to

[22:08] have to develop more special cars and

[22:10] they're going to start becoming less

[22:11] special like McLaren or everything

[22:12] special if only they would put a stick

[22:15] in the sf90 someone would have interest

[22:17] in actually wanting one and maybe that

[22:19] would preserve their values a little bit

[22:21] on the used Market it certainly

[22:23] would we are in the first time in my

[22:25] life to answer your question don't they

[22:26] all sell for the first time in my life

[22:28] no I mean I think SF 9s are hard to sell

[22:31] interesting don't you yeah I'm sure

[22:33] Romas too if what we're seeing on the

[22:35] used Market is happening there's no way

[22:37] they have people lined up on the new

[22:38] market to just buy them I think Roma is

[22:40] an easier sale to just a a sheer price

[22:43] difference I think people are more

[22:44] although I have seen I think you showed

[22:46] me that one that was crazily optioned up

[22:47] to like

[22:48] $450,000 or something nuts I didn't even

[22:51] think was possible on that car well

[22:52] there are some old people who do that

[22:54] kind of thing because they don't want

[22:55] like a like a Mid Engine like you know I

[22:57] mean I get that I get that but yeah but

[22:59] I agree the sf9 but you look at used

[23:00] values on Romans you look at used values

[23:02] on Pinos and on SF 90s they're not as

[23:04] hot as they once were no Ferrari could

[23:08] make some money throwing a stick in some

[23:09] of these cars SF 9s there are hundreds

[23:11] and hundreds available if I wanted an

[23:13] sf90 today I could start calling dealers

[23:15] and getting them all over the place

[23:17] they're also letting like eag take all

[23:19] the old cars and convert them I don't

[23:21] get that and ason made that money have

[23:23] them send the car back charge an

[23:24] exorbitant amount of money they already

[23:26] do it for the classy k thing yeah they

[23:28] charged Aston charged like 40 grand for

[23:30] that it wa and it couldn't have cost

[23:32] that but I think it was 40 plus shipping

[23:33] yeah Ferrari could be that was years ago

[23:36] too right why not make the money

[23:37] yourself I just don't understand it's a

[23:38] public company like they're they're

[23:40] leaving money on the table does not

[23:41] matter it does not make sense to me when

[23:43] you're looking at porsa and they come up

[23:44] with these cars Porsche is falling all

[23:46] over themselves to create manual

[23:48] versions of cars that don't need special

[23:50] manual versions because just to make

[23:52] money right it's not about the speed

[23:53] it's like it's about the interaction

[23:55] with the car and Ferrari is still

[23:57] chasing speed and Grand gred I know

[23:58] there's a lot of pressure Ferrari's

[23:59] Heritage of always building the fastest

[24:01] they always want to have the fastest but

[24:03] like to mear interesting you speed when

[24:07] I think about what Ferrari's Heritage is

[24:09] it's like

[24:11] money yeah but this was always been the

[24:13] driving force behind that at least in my

[24:15] lifetime that's been the driving force

[24:17] right money far's like done everything

[24:19] they could to extract money out of

[24:20] people they would used to charge two

[24:22] grand for heated seats I mean come on

[24:24] four grand for carplay yeah I love that

[24:26] I'm talking about the model in not the

[24:28] options but yeah I'm talking about the

[24:29] break the ethos of the people who are

[24:31] running the company money to answer

[24:34] Andrew's question it does seem that they

[24:35] hate

[24:36] money no they don't I mean I think an

[24:39] sp3 manual would have been insane

[24:40] because it was a short production one

[24:41] they were going to sell them all out

[24:42] anyway it's no problem I think it's

[24:43] crazy to me that they don't offer some

[24:45] stick special edition cars considering

[24:48] how much more I truly think people would

[24:49] pay a million bucks for a stick 296 I I

[24:51] truly believe if they made a 300 unit

[24:53] production run that would be a million

[24:54] dollar car and people are like well it

[24:56] cost money to develop does it cost $300

[24:59] million I I suspect no probably not

[25:04] that's like what an actual car cost to

[25:06] develop yes um all right kenon give us

[25:10] another

[25:11] question um here's a here's one from

[25:13] Michael maau uh question to Doug would

[25:15] you ever cons what car would you

[25:16] consider as your E-class allterrain

[25:17] replacement Ken do you want to tell us

[25:19] about our our BMW 5 series news of the

[25:22] day no I was the news today Ken gave up

[25:25] they announced a wagon when when Ken

[25:27] when the F10 came out Ken was like I'm

[25:29] out yeah it was the last BMW Ken hates

[25:31] new BMWs and they're all pretty good

[25:33] they're all pretty good true I love most

[25:35] of them I I really like the I really

[25:37] like the current generation M3 okay

[25:39] today BMW has officially announced kenon

[25:43] the wagon version of the new Five series

[25:45] I'm going to text it to

[25:47] you and you can pull it up it's called

[25:50] The Five series uh

[25:53] touring uh thank you I I guess we'll go

[25:56] yeah put click on that from C driver

[25:57] great

[25:59] publication okay lovely wagon shape oh

[26:02] that is a great looking car that is a

[26:03] great looking car so they won't announce

[26:06] what's coming to the US but my view is

[26:08] the M5 touring is coming to the states

[26:09] there almost no question in my mind and

[26:11] it looks like a plugin version is going

[26:12] to come that's cool and a plugin would

[26:14] be great like an i560 okay so the

[26:17] problem is they're they supposedly they

[26:19] not bringing the I5 to the US just a

[26:21] plugin regular I don't understand the

[26:23] logic behind that I don't know being RS6

[26:26] has sold incredibly well well E63 wagon

[26:29] touring is going to come interesting

[26:31] it'll plug in but not the not the fully

[26:33] maybe the full electric maybe not I

[26:34] don't know oh that'd be sool you once

[26:36] told me that if they do bring an M5

[26:37] touring to the US you'll buy one is that

[26:39] still no I said that about the M3

[26:40] touring and I do believe that about the

[26:42] M3 touring I think we're play back the

[26:45] tape play back the tape you told me on

[26:48] nck that you I said that about the M3

[26:50] tring and I stand by it if they brought

[26:51] that buck tooth thing to the US I would

[26:54] buy it that

[26:56] beaver which yeah but well how

[27:00] interesting that'll be very cool might

[27:02] come to the US they'd be silly not no no

[27:03] it'll definitely come to the US they're

[27:04] just they they didn't say that in the

[27:06] press release so Car and Driver can't

[27:07] post it because they got to stay on

[27:08] BMW's good side but it's coming to the

[27:10] US and it's going to be great wait can

[27:11] you just leave us you leave behind the

[27:13] Five series wagon you have nothing else

[27:15] to say I we sort of covered it I think

[27:17] we sort of covered it once it's here

[27:18] great you don't have any interest in the

[27:21] Five series wagon you're over BMW after

[27:24] give me a model year uh I

[27:28] the F10 was an accurate observation I

[27:30] what was that 11 I believe that's right

[27:32] when the f105 came out yeah that was

[27:34] kind of the I think the 16 was the final

[27:37] year production for the but when did it

[27:38] it was like 11 that it started I think

[27:40] it was 18 I don't remember exactly but

[27:42] yeah that was kind of the last oh you

[27:44] cared about the also that was yeah and

[27:46] that was the last because that was the

[27:47] last M5 you get with pedal meanwhile Sam

[27:50] and I love the I love the current

[27:51] generation I love the M2 as well like I

[27:53] love all those cars currently love the

[27:55] i7 Alpa xp7 Alpa X7 that's been the Hot

[28:00] Topic of debate it just looks so good i7

[28:03] looks so expensive God I love the i7

[28:06] okay this question that up there from CJ

[28:08] is the greatest question we've ever been

[28:10] asked Sam read it and then choose oh wow

[28:12] we were just talking about the jukar

[28:14] actually that's funny um choose between

[28:16] the following for a onecar garage Nissan

[28:19] jukar onear garage lm2 wouldn't leave

[28:23] the garage SLR Sterling

[28:26] Moss

[28:28] somehow F50 seems to make like

[28:30] reasonable sense this is a really tough

[28:32] one because those are four well okay

[28:34] those are one great car then three trash

[28:37] cars that I would

[28:39] love what was the the jukar was the GTR

[28:43] motor obviously and the Juke which is a

[28:45] crazy move but they actually built

[28:47] customer versions they only Built a few

[28:49] hundred though or I mean they only Built

[28:50] a few they only Built a few they built

[28:51] like 12 they built what they could sell

[28:53] yeah they built like 12 but they priced

[28:55] them at like 675 or something

[28:58] who was buying that no one they they

[29:00] built like 11 and then one of them came

[29:01] up for sale and went to auction and got

[29:03] to like 275 or something oh 275 pull

[29:06] that up pull up K screen this is an

[29:07] incredible

[29:09] automobile man but it's an incredibly

[29:12] difficult choice between those four I'd

[29:13] throw the uh signate V8 in there well

[29:16] that's probably what I'd take that

[29:18] choice was not proferred To Us by CJ a

[29:20] one car garage by the way spoke to

[29:22] George Evans yesterday and he told me LM

[29:25] o2s are pretty stout he said they don't

[29:27] really break all that often really yeah

[29:29] huh he said he's got two of them

[29:30] personally but this is really yeah he's

[29:32] quietly got quite the collection yeah he

[29:34] does hidden in Ohio need to just retire

[29:37] okay so it was LMO to Sterling Moss SLR

[29:40] Kennon pull that up for the audience who

[29:41] unfortunately does not know about that

[29:43] car did those ever trade

[29:45] hands never seen one nobody wants one so

[29:49] I think they just all live in

[29:50] Switzerland they all live in swizerland

[29:52] that is so true 75 billion they were all

[29:56] sold to people who like Mercedes who

[29:57] like owed Mercedes Benz a favor yep SP2

[30:00] before the SP2 that's exactly what it is

[30:03] though you know it's interesting because

[30:04] in the last couple years the SP2 came

[30:07] out the Elva came out and Aston did

[30:10] something yeah like a V12

[30:13] Vantage roof this was like OG yeah yeah

[30:19] what does it say just 75 Sterling M

[30:21] supercars were built one is up I can't

[30:23] believe they got 75 crazy people to buy

[30:25] these things crazy I know you ever seen

[30:27] one no yes you have didn't you see one

[30:30] at Monterey week uh two years ago or

[30:33] three years ago I'm pretty confident you

[30:35] sent us a picture of one I may have mon

[30:37] didn't count right it's hard to remember

[30:39] at car week what you see and what you

[30:40] don't there's one in like the the prince

[30:42] of Monaco's car collection it's a museum

[30:44] in Monaco you can go in and see it um

[30:47] man that's tough though down between

[30:49] just one certainly not the

[30:51] lemu as cool as the lau is it's

[30:54] certainly not the Nissan for me well you

[30:56] genuinely want one so well what do you

[30:58] mean it's not the Nissan for you what

[31:00] okay you're going to daily a sterling

[31:01] Moss I think I can't F50 seems like the

[31:04] most reasonable there's that guy in

[31:06] Louisiana who did it who did you saw

[31:08] that thing came up yeah driving to

[31:10] Dallas every other day or something

[31:12] there was a guy in Louisiana who had an

[31:14] F50 named Jim

[31:15] Spiro there was another guy with an F50

[31:18] named Tom Spiro not something to think

[31:20] about just just let it let it fester in

[31:22] your mind okay but uh think the F50 is

[31:26] uh the clutch is a lot easier to live

[31:28] with than you might think I don't want

[31:29] to think I'm not I'm K you're not gonna

[31:31] take the F50 here I'm not gonna let you

[31:33] you got to choose between and you're not

[31:34] going to take the Sterling I'm taking

[31:35] the F50 CJ gave me the F50 I'm taking

[31:37] get you can't drive you can't daily

[31:39] can't drive race I can't drive a like

[31:41] the Juke R is a purpose it's a built

[31:43] race car isn't it like no it just had

[31:45] the regular GTR Road car it's probably

[31:47] the most practical don't like niss that

[31:48] much I can't do that I don't like Nissan

[31:50] that much

[31:52] Sterling like hide a lot of Nissan

[31:54] enthusiasts here are going to get mad at

[31:56] you plus I'm SI I I can't get something

[31:58] that doesn't have a manual so that rolls

[31:59] out the Sterling moss and I just

[32:01] couldn't do a car that doesn't have no

[32:02] windshield and so so the F50 or the lm2

[32:06] or like 50 has no roof W yes it does oh

[32:09] you drive it roofed it did switch back

[32:12] I've done it I've taken it off before

[32:14] I've taken one off in f i 5 hours at the

[32:16] Ferrari dealer to do that no took us 25

[32:19] minutes really the dealer charges you

[32:20] the deer charges you like an hour or two

[32:22] I think it's I think it was two hours of

[32:24] Labor yeah it does not take two hours to

[32:26] do I've done that before it's now Grant

[32:28] I had a little help it is hard to get it

[32:30] on hard to get the top off but I've done

[32:33] it Sam what would you pick

[32:35] here the more I think about it the LMU

[32:38] actually does make sense if George Evans

[32:40] is correct I know stradman bought one in

[32:42] like North Carolina was going to drive

[32:43] it home and he only made it to

[32:45] Geor oh so uh I don't know how right he

[32:49] is about that for daily driving cuz no

[32:51] one's ever done it right although didn't

[32:53] someone interesting own one of these new

[32:55] like Oprah or no uh um what's her name

[32:59] who lives in Switzerland um what's her

[33:02] name who lives on the on the in

[33:03] Switzerland the singer the famous singer

[33:05] not Diana Ross but Tina Turner Tina

[33:07] Turner Tina Turner was then she put a

[33:10] she put a Mercedes engine in it and I

[33:12] that sounds like lore but I've I've

[33:14] talked to some people who I like trust

[33:15] who are like I've seen the car I've laid

[33:17] hands on the car she has an lmo2 with a

[33:19] Mercedes engine that's so cool wow so

[33:22] all right probably answer is Denise on

[33:23] juk car well the LMU is probably the

[33:25] answer but

[33:27] cool yeah I'm taking the F50 damn none

[33:29] of us picked the roofless car well it's

[33:31] been raining for a week in San

[33:33] Diego so uh going back to that9 sold for

[33:37] 12555 for that Turbo S Coupe that's a

[33:40] that does seem like a good buy that is a

[33:41] buy at 125 car lot of car 0 to 60 and

[33:44] what two and a half yeah man reliable

[33:48] just usable wonderful car Comfort

[33:50] congratulations to that person well done

[33:52] um vity the ISF also sold 30 grand for

[33:55] that car which that also feels was like

[33:57] a really good buy for 30 grand what's

[33:59] the mileage on this what's the mileage

[34:00] this was 100,000 miles but it's like

[34:02] reliable they don't they're not as

[34:04] affected by Miles as you think an 11 M3

[34:06] with 100 is like a throwaway car almost

[34:08] people like scared but that's the thing

[34:10] about these isfs the used Market values

[34:12] reliability far greater than performance

[34:15] and that sort of thing and so these isfs

[34:16] have retained their value unbelievably

[34:18] well they sell for the same when we

[34:19] launched this like five years ago they

[34:20] haven't Chang their value at all it's

[34:22] amazing it's like Miatas it's like

[34:24] Miatas but not NDS right

[34:27] but yeah we've sold quite a few ISF this

[34:30] was like a late one too but yeah I think

[34:32] 12 was the last year I think but they're

[34:35] right there they're all kind of in and

[34:36] around that for the most part they're

[34:38] kind of around around 30 to 40 yeah yeah

[34:41] really low mileage ones will still bring

[34:42] real money but um like you'd have to

[34:45] have a high mileage 08 to crack under

[34:48] 20 right yeah that's a pretty good buy

[34:50] and if you have a blue one I'm still

[34:52] waiting to review a blue one yeah that

[34:54] one in the bottom right is nice that

[34:56] remains my dream yeah that car came to

[34:57] us but it wasn't anywhere near here

[34:59] otherwise I would have done it ult look

[35:01] like a Connecticut plate I wasn't going

[35:03] to fly to Connecticut to review an ISF

[35:05] it looks like Connecticut cool though it

[35:07] may be cool though it may be wow kenin

[35:10] pull up another car that we want to

[35:11] discuss oh the new WR so some cars that

[35:13] are cars that are coming up so we have

[35:15] that uh that three manual Ferrari 360 so

[35:18] also a manual conversion I believe is

[35:21] everybody just swapping these now yeah I

[35:23] think if you can like why wouldn't yeah

[35:24] why wouldn't you I mean it just makes it

[35:26] so much more now the 360 with a manual

[35:28] they made quite a few of them yeah it's

[35:30] weird to swap a 360 cuz half of 360s

[35:32] were sticks is my understanding cuz I

[35:34] owned one but I think it's just it's so

[35:36] much more pleasant to drive than that

[35:37] early F1 system and so a lot of people

[35:39] swap them um and it makes sense wow

[35:43] front plate is this in

[35:45] Canada uh this car wow doing it yeah

[35:49] good for him compliant compliant yeah

[35:52] what's the difference in value between

[35:55] Factory F1 versus stick um for a 360

[35:59] f1's got to be like

[36:01] 45 no I think they're that it's not that

[36:04] much cuz stick 360s are findable by the

[36:06] way you don't like these wheels I kind

[36:07] of like them you don't like them they're

[36:09] not my favorite go back to the exterior

[36:10] Ken zoom out showing the wheel directly

[36:13] come on so you don't like them up close

[36:15] you like them generally I think it looks

[36:16] good the 360 was under wheeled o true

[36:19] now this guy the stock wheels are

[36:21] included with this one which side shot

[36:23] go to that side shot I kind of like that

[36:26] H it looks like a more modern Ferrari

[36:28] wheel to be totally honest just put F430

[36:31] wheels on it if you're going to do no

[36:32] that's what everybody does it looks

[36:34] wrong well this looks wrong too no no

[36:37] that looks that looks okay I'm into that

[36:40] the car comes with stock wheels I put

[36:41] the stock wheel personally or is it auro

[36:44] it's auro yeah I believe it

[36:47] isio alloy which is also blish yeah it's

[36:50] another very good color in the 360 and I

[36:52] think this car has daytonas if memory

[36:54] service me as well I can't believe all

[36:55] these stick swaps how funny this is just

[36:57] like the thing now yeah well it's like

[36:59] you know the the companies that are

[37:00] doing this really hit on a good Market

[37:02] this it's a really good idea it just

[37:04] makes the car so much more enjoyable and

[37:05] you can't get them you can't get new

[37:07] ones in the market cly value so here's a

[37:09] question transmiss 599 sticks they made

[37:12] four they all cost $4 billion

[37:15] yes I know like at something but now

[37:19] they presumably that car will now become

[37:22] like deeply swapped right does that

[37:25] impact the value of the factory ones

[37:27] must I mean at some point it's like I

[37:29] think Factory is Factory and like that's

[37:31] just I guess but it's at some point it's

[37:33] like Okay Okay the reason people are

[37:35] buying like the 599s that are collectibl

[37:37] the sa aarto the GTO and well nobody's

[37:40] going to convert a coupe to an sa a

[37:43] perta so that's you're safe that's not

[37:44] going to have exactly that's safe so

[37:46] like the only way to differentiate like

[37:48] power move I think the people like the

[37:49] manual Factory manual ones are just

[37:51] collector's items they I don't think

[37:53] anybody's driving driv the problem I

[37:54] generally agree but like let's how let's

[37:57] say they made $4,599 just for sake of

[38:00] argument and there are like 11 sticks

[38:02] but if like 2,800 get converted it's

[38:05] like okay oh you got one of the 11 cool

[38:07] so do 2,800 other dudes I don't think I

[38:09] don't think 2800 people are going to

[38:11] spend the 60 Grand whatever it cost to

[38:13] do the over time how many 430s have been

[38:16] converted there are a lot and then you

[38:18] go to Cars and Coffee and it's like oh a

[38:19] stick 430 but you don't know I don't

[38:21] know that one you would never know right

[38:23] that one yeah the one of the one of the

[38:25] giveaways is that they most of the

[38:27] companies that do these conversions

[38:29] can't put the Ferrari logo on the shift

[38:31] pattern and so like if it's not there

[38:33] that's a pretty easy sign the sh pedals

[38:35] on the steering wheel and the holes

[38:37] where the shift pedals were if someone

[38:38] someone wants to do it right they

[38:39] replace the trim all together but I'll

[38:41] bet that cost a fortune if you can get

[38:42] it at all get it at all doing that uh

[38:44] and nobody's that pedantic although I

[38:46] would be I would be too but like okay I

[38:49] I hate to say this but as a person who's

[38:51] like in kind of like interested in these

[38:53] cars like I would for 800 grand for a

[38:56] stick 5 99 or 1200 for a conversion

[38:58] that's like a no- Brandon to me I don't

[39:00] care about the collectibility of it

[39:01] right what about super America those are

[39:03] like 200 grand for and a million like

[39:07] it's just stupid and mercy is the same

[39:08] thing I mean the concept that a a

[39:10] regular Mercy is a 200 car and that a

[39:11] stick Mercy is like a 600 car it's like

[39:14] laughable oh it's ridiculous that one LP

[39:16] 640 that manual that right recently sold

[39:19] for like a million5 it's ridiculous

[39:21] toally you get car most people wouldn't

[39:24] be able to see the difference on 200

[39:27] yeah 650 was a good result on that let's

[39:30] start swapping these things now the

[39:31] mercy is protected because there's not a

[39:33] swap available right now not yet but you

[39:35] got it's coming it's coming because the

[39:37] interest in Mercy's is deeply deeply

[39:39] growing oh yeah nice he Zooms in on yeah

[39:42] there it is the could see that from a

[39:45] mile away tall ship yeah um oh that's

[39:49] cool yeah that's a fantast fantastic

[39:52] silver wheels on there Ken give us

[39:53] another question all right let's have

[39:55] another look at the question how does he

[39:56] go side to side on his computer screen

[39:58] we'll never know he's a wizard he's a

[40:00] totally wizard totally totally wizard

[40:04] kenon give us a good

[40:05] one Kenan um let's

[40:10] see what's the best all so Derek ask

[40:13] what's the best all round alternative to

[40:15] used

[40:16] 911

[40:19] Cayman that's my opinion too there's

[40:22] nothing done next question it's so true

[40:24] though it's so true like and uh one one

[40:27] of our video editors Nick is thinking

[40:29] about uh getting rid of his Mustang and

[40:30] potentially getting a Cayman I think

[40:32] that's a wonderful move Cayman are just

[40:34] they're just great just great sports

[40:35] cars 987 came in is just wonderful car

[40:38] they're all 981s they're not even all

[40:40] that expensive anymore 981s have come

[40:41] down to a pretty affordable level wait I

[40:43] want to do the one just below that but

[40:44] can you go to 981s really quick

[40:47] mhm what are what are like regular early

[40:49] 981 selling

[40:51] for so what ises that 14 sell for 50

[40:54] that's a pdk

[40:57] GTS is a wow that's got pcbs pccb that's

[41:00] that that's not a good example because

[41:01] it's a pretty that's pretty highly

[41:03] optioned yeah give me like a like an

[41:04] early early

[41:06] 981 which was what like 13 what is that

[41:09] 30 what is that white

[41:11] one Canon is clicking too quick he too

[41:15] quick this what this one's pretty base

[41:16] but 14 with 72,000 miles we sold it for

[41:19] 29 that's a bargain that's what 981 sell

[41:22] for so that I mean 987s are are only a

[41:25] couple grand less than that just get a

[41:26] 981 you'd have to get pdk yeah that's a

[41:29] lot of car that's a lot of car still a

[41:31] lot of car a lot more modern than all

[41:33] the trims I like all of them even the

[41:34] bass like isn't that bad the Bas is a

[41:36] car also you just toss around and have a

[41:39] great time with it's just like fun it's

[41:41] a fun Simple Car GTS is probably the

[41:44] sweet spot and so yeah it seems like

[41:46] perhaps it seems like a boring answer to

[41:48] answer a Porsche question with a Porsche

[41:50] answer but I think that it like it is a

[41:52] genuine like it depends on what you want

[41:53] to do oh by the way Boxster to yeah

[41:56] thank you thank you I like a good

[41:57] convertible yeah like good pan if you

[42:01] want aord that's our answer Porsches

[42:04] okay however much Porsche you can afford

[42:06] however much Porsche you can get this

[42:07] question Justin what car brand needs you

[42:09] as a consultant for a day and and what

[42:11] would you tell them to do okay the

[42:12] answer is Nissan here's what I would

[42:13] tell them to do okay the Nissan extera

[42:17] uh was made from 1990 from 2000 until

[42:20] 2012 or 15 that Nissan canceled the

[42:23] exterior the day before the off-road SUV

[42:26] Enthusiast Market took off the Toyota

[42:29] 4Runner TRD Pro has been out for I don't

[42:32] know 25 years in its current form and

[42:34] it's still over sticker five over still

[42:36] to this day these things are over the um

[42:40] the Sequoia TRD Pro the GW wagon the

[42:43] Raptor the etc etc etc all of these cars

[42:46] are radically popular these off-road

[42:48] SUVs and Nissan bailed on the segment

[42:50] the day before it took off and it's been

[42:52] 10 years and they're still kind of

[42:53] taking like a wait and see approach to

[42:55] see whether this will will really remain

[42:58] popular so of all the problems of all

[43:00] car brands you the new Hyundai Santa Fe

[43:02] has come out and looks like a crazy

[43:05] insane off-roader the new Lexus GX has

[43:08] come out it looks like a like the world

[43:10] has the kide they made it look like an

[43:12] off-roader and it out sells its rival

[43:14] it's its its stablemate the Palisade

[43:17] vastly just because it looks cooler and

[43:20] meanwhile Nissan is still sitting there

[43:21] like you

[43:23] know I'm not sure should we bring back

[43:26] the extera no let's do another

[43:29] generation of the

[43:32] Maxima it's not like they're killing it

[43:34] in any segment really but this was their

[43:36] segment it's like how Volkswagen owned

[43:39] the van segment for years and now the

[43:40] Sprinter lives there in Volkswagen's

[43:42] like you

[43:43] know I'm not sure probably Sprinter sell

[43:46] for like

[43:47] $400,000 it's insane think about it how

[43:51] is Nissan not back in this world with

[43:52] the exteror am I wrong about this yes

[43:55] what

[43:56] cuz who's buying it the no one cares

[43:59] Toyota sold 400,000 4Runners last year

[44:02] they're too established with that cuz

[44:03] that's the one you'd get even if they

[44:04] came out with a new

[44:05] one okay but the Raptor at one one point

[44:08] the Raptor was a new car and then

[44:11] everybody bought it they were going to

[44:13] cancel the gag Chevy came in 10 years

[44:15] later with the ZR2 and nobody bought

[44:17] that cuz they made it they they half

[44:19] asked it like everything GM does that's

[44:21] true if Nissan showed up with a good

[44:24] extera that like was just as good or

[44:26] better than the Forerunner and looked

[44:28] cool it would have cred because they did

[44:30] it in the past yeah they invented the

[44:33] segment and then bailed on it just as it

[44:35] was heating up it's

[44:36] insane I mean I wouldn't be a buyer so

[44:40] that's a tough one for me to how am I

[44:42] wrong okay fine what is your

[44:43] answer

[44:45] uh what's a misled

[44:48] company I can't believe you're not I'm

[44:51] still thinking about your Nissan answer

[44:53] do you have an answer for that um BMW

[44:56] bring back the manual transmission yeah

[44:57] yeah that's true man Empire I I feel

[45:01] that Aston is a very misled company um I

[45:04] think Aston well I mean they nobody

[45:06] they're they're making these I think the

[45:08] the 707 I think was a really smart

[45:11] choice to make it it finally made that

[45:12] car desirable because we used to go um

[45:15] to Orange County and we would see the

[45:16] Asen do is just full of dbxs like oh

[45:19] yeah you could not sell the cars the 707

[45:21] comes out makes it really desirable

[45:23] because it's insane and so like I think

[45:25] Aston I think Aston is I I just think

[45:28] they they have some things they could

[45:29] probably change um some things they

[45:32] could probably change I'm over here

[45:34] saying bring back the extera and make it

[45:36] good and you're like oh Aston has some

[45:37] things they could probably change yeah I

[45:39] don't know I don't know how to fix it

[45:41] this is the thing a lot of people have

[45:42] tried with Aston Martin to fix it and

[45:44] can't it's a desirable brand that when

[45:47] people have they don't actually people

[45:49] buy the company actually turn out they

[45:50] don't okay here's an Aston Martin Theory

[45:52] I want you to Noodle with mentally Aston

[45:55] is a design desirable brand among people

[45:57] who can't afford

[45:59] Aston but among people who can it's not

[46:02] all that desirable because you'd rather

[46:04] just end up with a Ferrari yeah or a

[46:06] Porsche honestly or people who have

[46:08] moved to the US from England right they

[46:10] always they all have asked okay think

[46:12] about that really I think Jaguar is the

[46:13] same way you hear about people who can't

[46:15] afford a new jag jag but like people who

[46:18] are in that space they don't want

[46:19] anything to do with that trash I don't

[46:21] know if anyone's really Desiring a Jag

[46:23] anymore though you're right that days

[46:24] those days are kind of does still have

[46:26] that like brand but I think Aston is

[46:28] especially excitable to people who are

[46:31] not buying an ason and they kind of keep

[46:35] the brand there's some interest there

[46:37] but not at

[46:38] $375,000 which is somehow what every new

[46:40] Aston costs right every one of them I

[46:43] think the uh DBS superer the final ones

[46:46] are like half a m maybe they should

[46:48] Maserati themselves and sell a $68,000 c

[46:52] that worked out so well for

[46:53] Maserati those $59 9 leases on gibl hey

[46:57] man those cars are now 12gs and Kenan is

[47:00] thinking about one instead of a 500e

[47:02] because it would probably be cheaper to

[47:03] own prob might be but no I'm not

[47:06] thinking about that um okay Kenan give

[47:10] us another

[47:12] question uh okay so Doug what is the

[47:15] status of selling your G wagon because

[47:16] you mentioned that you were going to get

[47:17] rid of it and uh my G wagon I've decided

[47:19] to sell my yellow Defender

[47:21] Instead This was a lot of back and forth

[47:24] I'm not going to sell it to sell my

[47:26] yellow Defender I was going to sell the

[47:27] G wagon I I I only wanted to sell the G

[47:29] wagon because I wanted to like sell some

[47:31] cars like get some stuff out of my life

[47:33] you are in a pairing down face yeah and

[47:35] the yellow Defender is is the same

[47:36] amount of stuff like physically is the

[47:38] same size and so it's going in Step but

[47:40] he just gets bored you thought about the

[47:42] Ford G and then you drove you're like

[47:43] never mind and then you were like you

[47:46] you were thinking about that car and

[47:47] then you're like good riddens you just

[47:49] go even care GT yeah I care GT briefly

[47:52] it's like when the market was down the

[47:54] stock market went back up a little wor

[47:56] it's not going anywhere um no I'm not

[47:59] selling the G but I am selling my yellow

[48:00] Defender which will be I'm selling it at

[48:02] 3 weeks I'm just waiting for photos and

[48:05] I'm also selling my Land Cruiser 2013

[48:07] Land Cruiser which Kenan is going to be

[48:09] bidding on no I am not it's ready to

[48:11] start a family he needs a nice family

[48:13] car yeah as a single 28-year-old

[48:16] definitely ready to start a family this

[48:18] car you're not going to be blizzard much

[48:20] money in that car maintaining that last

[48:21] year as I did my M5 those were all

[48:23] elective everything I did was elective

[48:27] everything was elected okay other than

[48:28] the alternator failed two times I am on

[48:30] my third alternator in a year but who

[48:33] isn't not me auto part stores are too um

[48:38] okay here's what happened with the Land

[48:39] Cruiser it's a perfect car I think you

[48:42] should consider it there's a little

[48:43] scrape on the front corner from what my

[48:45] from my nanny she didn't disclose that

[48:47] she did it but I believe that she did

[48:49] because she took it out one day and it

[48:50] came back with a scrape on the corner

[48:53] other than that it's a great great car

[48:56] here's what happened with the Land

[48:57] Cruiser okay and I'm I got a video

[48:59] coming about this but I discovered that

[49:02] there are some f flaws with that motor

[49:05] and so I fixed them all and in

[49:08] discovering them I discovered there's

[49:09] actually more flaws than I thought

[49:11] considering what everybody says about

[49:12] the Land Cruiser right even we talked it

[49:14] up for such a long time right really

[49:18] come through for you right right and so

[49:21] now I'm I'm gonna I'm gonna sell it it's

[49:22] got all that stuff done and Kenan is a

[49:25] buyer

[49:26] don't think so but you're replacing

[49:29] it yeah I'm going to get a sequoia which

[49:31] is great camo seats camo cladding Kenan

[49:36] you got any thoughts on camo seats you

[49:37] wish you had camo seats in your car nope

[49:40] actively would avoid that I do have

[49:42] ostrich leather seets that's that's

[49:43] right Sam well remembered man maybe I

[49:45] should get some exotic seats he has

[49:47] ostrich oh like text yeah it's what it's

[49:50] for not real a then the sport seats yeah

[49:53] not maybe it is no it's not definitely

[49:55] not Ken give us Mass produce BMW Ken

[49:58] give us a question for Sam yeah all

[50:00] right Sam what is your idea of the best

[50:02] reliable daily for under 40 Grand I know

[50:04] the anything I know the answer that

[50:06] Sam's going to say what Cayenne Turbo

[50:09] yeah well you're going to say either

[50:10] cayen or paname of some kind Sam is such

[50:12] a Porsche guy I'm So Into cayenne and P

[50:14] paname right now they are so cool Sam

[50:16] wants to get himself a Ed Cayenne I do

[50:19] 95.2 turbo would be such a good daily

[50:22] driver so few had adaptive Crews though

[50:25] what they pull it up does adaptive

[50:26] cruise Go full speed in that car I don't

[50:28] know it was like 16 so probably not

[50:33] although maybe some of them did back

[50:34] then yeah it was just a little jerky but

[50:36] my 12 Benz did High turbo even the that

[50:38] new body style that one bid to 72 which

[50:42] seems like a pretty good result to me

[50:43] but uh those have come 16 for a turbo

[50:47] the problem is kenon doesn't know

[50:48] $150,000,000 a lot of miles a pre it

[50:51] also underscores like put miles on the

[50:53] thing it's like K look put the minimum

[50:55] year at baller put the minimum year at

[50:57] what 14 15 uh

[51:01] 15 okay wow pretty good filters

[51:05] here thanks so look at that 66 for like

[51:09] a new body style one yeah that's a 19

[51:12] that's pretty good for some reason those

[51:14] the newer gen doesn't seem as desirable

[51:17] 40 was the question here 40 Grand was

[51:19] the right 40 Grand right right oh yeah

[51:20] we're at 80 now what are they sold for

[51:22] 48 can the 40 guys stretch to 48 so

[51:25] maybe it's a 0.1 but I do think a 0.1

[51:28] Cayenne Turbo 958 was the question

[51:31] specifically asking about like four-door

[51:32] four seat practi I was asking for fun

[51:35] fun reliable daily under 40 Grand

[51:37] preferably a V8 and that's Manda who

[51:39] asked that okay so Sam says a Ken which

[51:42] has a uh which does have a V8s right

[51:44] yeah or the GTS which now are less than

[51:46] 20 grand the correct answer of course is

[51:48] the second gen Cadillac

[51:50] CTSV bizarre answer 556 horsepower you

[51:54] want drag race I'll drag graer Cayenne

[51:57] Turbo you have all that plastic

[51:59] inside yeah it's PL no don't not a CPE I

[52:03] prefer not a coup personally myself but

[52:05] you prefer the coue no I prefer not a

[52:07] coupe I prefer sedan or a wagon but wag

[52:10] tip wag sell for this yeah wow 33 yeah

[52:14] tip one sell for 33 that's pretty good

[52:17] yeah for 556 horsepower oh that interor

[52:19] is so bad though it's got that screen

[52:21] that rises out of the dash yeah it was

[52:23] it was a very general motor interior but

[52:26] it would be reliable and it would be fun

[52:28] and it is under 40 here's the question

[52:29] how come General Motors for decades just

[52:32] developed signal stocks that remind you

[52:34] of old people there wasn't that was

[52:35] their target they had years too like

[52:37] they there were different ones but every

[52:39] time they'd come out with a new signal

[52:40] stock which they put in every car right

[52:43] it was like old people they're not still

[52:44] using that same one they might be might

[52:46] they might be or a new version of it

[52:48] right old

[52:50] people I don't even know how that makes

[52:52] sense this car doesn't remind me of old

[52:54] people but the signal St was just always

[52:56] like yeah oh but a base CPS sedan we

[53:00] have one coming up by the way like a

[53:01] really nice 3.6 there were two v6s on

[53:04] that CTS a three l and a 3. 3.6 was the

[53:06] one you wanted 300 horsepower people

[53:08] coming with like 11,000 miles no Reserve

[53:11] very interesting result guaranteed it

[53:13] was an old person who bought it and

[53:15] loved their has had a great life right

[53:18] Ken what are their questions that's a

[53:19] pretty good answer though yeah those

[53:21] good answers give Sam a good

[53:24] one let's see here Sam oh how about that

[53:27] one from Shams do you see any cuvs being

[53:30] sought after in the future that's an

[53:32] interesting CUV like crossovers are

[53:34] there any like like long-term desirable

[53:38] yeah no you don't what do you think's

[53:40] going to happen to maccan Turbo like

[53:42] does that become an $88,000 car you guys

[53:43] sold one today didn't you this morning

[53:45] what did that bid to what does a 15

[53:47] Macon turbo go for in 20130 you

[53:51] know yeah that's a pretty good daily for

[53:54] under 30 actually

[53:55] that's a pdk yep 400 Turbo V6 so not

[54:00] that's a quick car and they handle so to

[54:03] drive fun drive I had my first Macan

[54:06] experience recently cuz I had a loner

[54:07] while my car was getting an oil change

[54:09] and it was like great it was a base maon

[54:11] but like handled well it the interior

[54:14] feels that Porsche premium yeah that

[54:17] screen looks and pdk which kayen doesn't

[54:19] have that's the kind of the Maan benefit

[54:22] the Maan is definitely the sportier of

[54:23] the two yeah that's a great choice um

[54:26] are any other crossovers though like FP

[54:31] svr depends what happens to Jag but that

[54:33] won't be no it just won't be if you look

[54:35] at the other like xvr Land Rovers and

[54:38] all those are all just going in One

[54:40] Direction reliability is the problem

[54:42] there um it would have to be a reliable

[54:44] crazy car was any crossover like really

[54:47] desirable is the is the P song way count

[54:50] no but I am curious what happens to the

[54:53] the V12 ones the value

[54:55] yeah I mean you have to imag going to go

[54:57] down but like it's a V12 modern SUV CUV

[55:00] sort of thing it's just in general

[55:02] though I wonder about P even the V8s

[55:03] because Ferraris use Ferraris as like a

[55:05] floor they never trade less than

[55:07] whatever it is for that you know like

[55:09] they just kind of like Cali 35

[55:12] California have yeah M's are cheap but

[55:14] even they have a if it was

[55:18] a you know a lot of other cars from that

[55:20] period other sports cars are now free

[55:22] xjs is like a $100 car Craigslist you

[55:25] know right like I does purro sway follow

[55:29] the depreciation curve of a cayenne and

[55:31] like become free or does cen's a

[55:33] desirable car and they're a 100 off

[55:35] sticker right so yeah an 0304 Cayenne is

[55:38] an $8,000 card is is Puro sangu someday

[55:41] become or because it's a Ferrari is it

[55:44] yeah that's a good question I don't know

[55:46] we'll find out production numbers

[55:48] probably plays a role yeah and the v12s

[55:50] I think are a limited production car but

[55:53] not officially a limited production car

[55:54] I think they made it initially to get it

[55:56] out there and be crazy and then after

[55:58] that it'll go away pretty fast I would

[56:00] imagine yeah I wonder if they're selling

[56:02] them keep them going I think emissions

[56:05] eventually will get to them yeah in

[56:07] their lineup I think no other crossovers

[56:10] are like really that cool there was

[56:11] never like a GT3 right type there's a

[56:15] few SUVs like Trail trackhawk oh

[56:19] interesting yeah trackhawk was cool

[56:21] limited big displacement yeah never

[56:24] going to

[56:25] yeah Durango thing Durango yeah um okay

[56:30] kenon give us another

[56:32] one all right let's see uh if you had

[56:35] Sal uh Sean asks if you had Su of brunai

[56:38] money what car would you commission wow

[56:41] so like basically you have free reain

[56:44] wow that's a really Excell question new

[56:46] S-Class wagon for

[56:48] [Laughter]

[56:50] sure same goes for a practical

[56:53] comfortable start there start there s

[56:56] the brunai was is was a special time too

[56:58] because the automakers needed him right

[57:00] he like self-funded Bentley I think if

[57:03] you called Ferrari today and said I want

[57:06] stick a stick sp3 they'd be like nah

[57:09] we're all good and you'd be like we'll

[57:11] give you 10 million and they'd be like

[57:12] you know what I we're all set thank you

[57:14] so much back then they were like oh a

[57:17] man will take 12 456 and turn them into

[57:20] station wagons we would turn them into

[57:21] monster trucks if it meant we could sell

[57:23] 456 what would the modern equivalent of

[57:25] a 456 Venice B unfortunately it would be

[57:28] a a a FF or whatever GT foro which is

[57:32] already a station wagon they sort of

[57:33] followed his lead everyone sort of

[57:35] followed his lead Bentley ended up

[57:37] making that's so true Ken what would you

[57:41] commission I don't know that's hard

[57:43] because there are so many crazy cars

[57:44] that already exist like the sp3 is like

[57:47] is like car in that vein would be cool

[57:49] but they already make the sp3 and it's

[57:51] awesome he can only imagine what an

[57:53] automaker can already deliv gting break

[57:56] I'm like a German I can't get like the

[57:57] creativity to like think um I don't know

[58:01] I would I really need to think about

[58:03] that I definitely think off-road

[58:04] versions of some SUVs that are on the

[58:06] market i' do an off-road orus an

[58:07] off-road BGA I would do some but it does

[58:10] not exist and be very difficult but I

[58:12] would love a super car from BMW a modern

[58:16] M1 I would love something like that like

[58:18] that concept card that did yeah like the

[58:21] I think something like that would be so

[58:22] cool cuz BMW has other than the M1 has

[58:25] never done a car like that and I would

[58:28] love a modern BMW like as a super car I

[58:30] think would be so cool it probably end

[58:32] up being like the Audi avus Quattro sort

[58:35] of thing but I would love love that yeah

[58:37] that would be cool a GT4 shooting break

[58:40] off-road version off-road version came

[58:42] in GT4 shooting break stor IED would be

[58:46] cool definitely a lifted BGA with some

[58:48] off-road stuff um that you can like do

[58:51] though but I want an OE and I want an

[58:53] exterior roll cage wow exoskeleton yeah

[58:57] nice for the rock crawling yeah yeah uh

[59:00] GT3 Targo would be kind of nice

[59:02] something like that GT3 didn't they make

[59:05] they do that program don't they yeah

[59:07] they have some special programs

[59:08] seemingly no one's ever done it though

[59:10] right I've never seen one but they have

[59:11] to be the soul now you just give Porsche

[59:13] a million dollars and they'll build they

[59:15] will do it right but one of the Porsche

[59:17] family members had like a GT3 RS

[59:20] convertible or something like that yeah

[59:22] that would be a few years I I remember

[59:24] one that was done but it didn't have the

[59:27] engine it the rest of the car was a GT3

[59:29] RS convertible yeah yes I know that one

[59:32] exactly what I'm talking about it's a

[59:33] place in OC that like does all that you

[59:35] know what the answer also is kenon you

[59:37] remember that 288 GTO that like new 288

[59:40] GTO no no no the there was like a modern

[59:43] one that was a rendering that was going

[59:45] around Instagram do you remember that I

[59:47] do I'm going to see if I can find it

[59:48] yeah like that yellow

[59:50] one that would be

[59:53] cool I

[59:55] think there was also a new testos body

[59:59] there was also a new test Roa that was

[1:00:00] going around that was so that one I do

[1:00:03] yeah that was the one we like really

[1:00:05] loved right see if I can find that

[1:00:07] rendering yeah look at that upper left

[1:00:10] yeah like that I mean granted they went

[1:00:14] with the f512m inspired headlights but

[1:00:17] that is so true the I love the a12 super

[1:00:19] fast Wheels I mean it kind of fits cuz

[1:00:21] the throwing stars like that would be

[1:00:23] cool to Commission looks right it looks

[1:00:25] the thing about some of these

[1:00:26] commissions is they're kind of stupid

[1:00:28] but this looks like something fori would

[1:00:29] actually build that looks so cool that

[1:00:31] 348 back kind of I mean the tester Roa

[1:00:33] had the same treatment as the 348 for

[1:00:35] the rear but yeah that's that's I mean

[1:00:38] that's I'd be into that yeah that would

[1:00:40] be cool that would be so cool like a

[1:00:42] modern version of an older car a

[1:00:44] Countach but done

[1:00:45] well that would be cool they did try

[1:00:48] that yeah some of these companies have

[1:00:50] tried don't you think a Kos done well

[1:00:52] would look really cool yeah I don't

[1:00:54] disagree yeah Lamborghini's done a few

[1:00:57] cool concept cars that would be cool

[1:00:59] yeah that a Stoke a Stoke just a

[1:01:03] four-door you get a nurse I get nurse

[1:01:06] with an

[1:01:08] exoskeleton Mall crawling no I would

[1:01:12] off-road it yeah great question though

[1:01:13] Sean great question

[1:01:16] um let's see uh we do have some other

[1:01:18] cars that are coming up this week too

[1:01:20] that I wanted to to talk about briefly

[1:01:22] um oh yeah this m coup one of them is

[1:01:24] this yeah this BMW M Coupe this clown

[1:01:26] shoe this is an s54 powered car right

[1:01:29] which I was which you taught us the

[1:01:30] other day yeah the ways to tell an s54

[1:01:33] powered one versus an s52 powered car

[1:01:36] one is that these cars had uh of course

[1:01:39] I click on the image won't load um the

[1:01:42] wheels on this car are the finished in

[1:01:45] Chrome Shadow the same as the E39 M5

[1:01:47] they're the only other BMW wheels to be

[1:01:49] finished that way to my knowledge and

[1:01:51] they're real they they are different the

[1:01:53] normal Wheels on the S 52 cars were just

[1:01:55] painted silver so this is a very special

[1:01:57] finish on these cars the other way is

[1:01:59] that this car got the facelifted badg

[1:02:01] now go to the go to an s52 we've sold

[1:02:03] and show me what the old badge looks

[1:02:05] like sure think so let me pull that up

[1:02:07] so those wheels are very special but you

[1:02:08] are screwed if you curb one well the guy

[1:02:13] we have people you got the Okay click on

[1:02:14] that red one cck on that red one the

[1:02:16] first one all right so pull up the rear

[1:02:18] shot yep so you can see how see how the

[1:02:20] badge is flatter here go back to the

[1:02:21] other badge like the E36 M3 so it's like

[1:02:24] very flat looking and on this car see

[1:02:26] how it's more curved and rounded oh is

[1:02:28] right so that yeah of course I'm

[1:02:30] right these two these two idiots doubted

[1:02:33] by BMW knowledge go back to the other

[1:02:35] one go back to the other one see much

[1:02:37] more flat right from the E36 got to

[1:02:39] think the engines E46 much more E46 wait

[1:02:42] go back again I want to see if there's

[1:02:44] other stuff no not really not a not a

[1:02:46] ton I believe the other things were um

[1:02:48] what a weird car this was why did happen

[1:02:51] how did it how did that get through the

[1:02:52] lawyers and they were like yeah let's do

[1:02:55] a hatchback I think be the lore goes

[1:02:58] it's because the engineers built this

[1:03:00] car and then Executives drove it and

[1:03:02] we're like you they could make it cheap

[1:03:04] because it used a lot of parts from the

[1:03:06] the existing um Roadster and also the

[1:03:09] E36 M3 and they're like okay we can make

[1:03:11] it cheaply it drives really really well

[1:03:13] okay we we'll Greenlight it and then no

[1:03:15] one bought it why didn't they do that

[1:03:17] with the uh e92 pickup truck nice well

[1:03:21] nice nice I don't think that drove as

[1:03:23] well as the other 92s that existed at

[1:03:26] the time well plus there's the chicken

[1:03:27] tax they could never actually do it with

[1:03:29] a pickup truck that they made overseas

[1:03:30] because they they'd have to pay the

[1:03:31] import Duty oh interesting 25% Kenan

[1:03:34] knows all about the chicken Texas he

[1:03:36] like a nice chicken he had to uh build

[1:03:38] his pickup truck startup here in the

[1:03:40] United States but nonetheless this one

[1:03:41] 39,000 miles so the Madge also on the

[1:03:44] side gills on the sides is that same

[1:03:46] it's just flatter on the 52 corre and

[1:03:48] then also the gauge color change so they

[1:03:51] did the s54 is have the E46 M3 and one

[1:03:55] sh with pleasure I believe that's true I

[1:03:59] believe that's true wow wow po who knew

[1:04:02] kenan's got all these I I figured there

[1:04:04] I know something I BMWs what an

[1:04:08] interesting color com what about the

[1:04:09] seats are the seats the same seats are

[1:04:11] the same yeah I don't think those

[1:04:12] changed at all yeah same you can get

[1:04:14] them in two tone as well interesting now

[1:04:16] we know good decision not to get them in

[1:04:18] two tone

[1:04:20] but so this one is ending when tomorrow

[1:04:22] so this one yeah this one ends tomorrow

[1:04:25] and it's an s54 car that's a pretty car

[1:04:28] so cool no accidents on car facta I mean

[1:04:30] I I really like these cars my only us to

[1:04:33] with them is like the E the E36 and E46

[1:04:36] M3 are both excellent and cost

[1:04:38] substantially less and so and I just

[1:04:41] have always gravitated towards those

[1:04:42] cars but man I would love a shoe yeah

[1:04:44] but this is special it is special it is

[1:04:47] special but then again you get 2 G you

[1:04:49] get in it you you turn the lights on it

[1:04:51] goes like if you don't if you don't have

[1:04:53] the car on like it's just like there's a

[1:04:55] lot of E30 in the car it's like it's not

[1:04:58] it's built like an E36 at the end of the

[1:05:00] day which was not known for its build

[1:05:02] quality um there's a lot of Parts

[1:05:03] recycling from the E30 like these Vents

[1:05:05] and and stuff like that so it's a lot of

[1:05:08] rattle canny for for how much they cost

[1:05:10] but the Driving Experience having I

[1:05:12] drove that s52 those the best cars and

[1:05:14] it drove so great I drove that a uh an

[1:05:18] NSX and an E46 M3 all on the same day

[1:05:21] and then I also drove a 993 Turbo S the

[1:05:23] next day and of them Dam f for the for

[1:05:26] the money good for him it was it was a

[1:05:29] great two days but for the money the one

[1:05:31] I had the most fun in was the Clown Shoe

[1:05:33] like it just was so balanced and fun and

[1:05:35] like didn't have to worry about it

[1:05:37] scraping I was terrified scraping the

[1:05:39] NSX and all those are great cars and

[1:05:41] their own right but for the money dollar

[1:05:42] per fun like I had the most fun in the

[1:05:43] clown CH yeah that was an 52 car and

[1:05:46] it's so just so special it's such an

[1:05:47] interesting look whenever I see one I

[1:05:49] still freak out even a nonm I'm still

[1:05:51] like this is so weird totally yeah and

[1:05:53] people forget that they made the

[1:05:54] standard car as a Coupee too as a

[1:05:56] non-mar tip you can just drive it around

[1:05:58] and use it like a hatchback yeah exactly

[1:06:00] in BD so this car was more E30 and the

[1:06:03] z4m coups were more E9 that was kind of

[1:06:07] more E90 cuz it was already the next

[1:06:08] generation of cars I got this car was

[1:06:10] more E36 in fact the model code is oh

[1:06:13] E36 E36 yeah E36 d8 for the for the Cs

[1:06:16] did you know that no I didn't they kept

[1:06:18] the E36 chassis designation weird now

[1:06:21] they change the chassis designation when

[1:06:22] the car has a different color

[1:06:24] yeah I mean I'm not wrong there's like

[1:06:26] like there's like 18 chassis

[1:06:28] designations for the new three series

[1:06:29] but back then E36 that was the Z3 too

[1:06:33] right it made no

[1:06:35] sense yeah but very cool car that one's

[1:06:39] and then the last one I was asked to

[1:06:40] mention was this uh this yeah this humer

[1:06:43] the dog is a former humer owner can you

[1:06:46] reflect on uh reflect on this car little

[1:06:48] bit in your Hummer ownership experience

[1:06:49] would have been better with a diesel

[1:06:51] they look cool they're baller you can go

[1:06:53] anywhere with them this one is a

[1:06:55] missions smog Exempted California Sam if

[1:06:57] you're interested cuz it's a diesel you

[1:06:59] want to if you want to think about it

[1:07:00] you want a wagon you want a wagon wagons

[1:07:02] just look way cooler than the soft tops

[1:07:04] you got to have a wagon or a pickup

[1:07:06] pickups look pretty cool too but a lot

[1:07:08] of them were the twodo like soft top

[1:07:10] things if you can get a slant back

[1:07:11] that's cool too but they didn't really

[1:07:12] make them for the civilian Market I

[1:07:14] became kind of a Hummer expert during

[1:07:15] the experience and uh you tracked yours

[1:07:17] didn't you yeah took it on the New

[1:07:19] Jersey Motorsports Park wow what a waste

[1:07:21] of a day good content K give us two two

[1:07:24] more good questions and then we'll sign

[1:07:25] off for the day all right let's have a

[1:07:28] look make him make him Sam

[1:07:31] specific Sam specific how about that how

[1:07:34] about that question from dimma what do

[1:07:37] you think about the Mercedes McLaren SLR

[1:07:39] that's a very good Sam question yep Sam

[1:07:42] that's your cars I think that the

[1:07:44] roadsters are cool I personally would

[1:07:47] never get one it's got that same

[1:07:49] five-speed from the SL65 right yeah but

[1:07:51] it could handle 7,000 horsepower yeah I

[1:07:54] mean it's super baller and we used to

[1:07:56] joke about that car being 10 grand a

[1:07:57] corner for brakes turns out that's like

[1:07:59] pretty normal for for cars in that realm

[1:08:02] yeah I mean career GT is up there too

[1:08:04] yeah but it's a career GT what so what

[1:08:06] do you think you think it's cool I like

[1:08:08] the um engine start

[1:08:10] button right I like side pipes yep and I

[1:08:14] like the way the hood comes forward yep

[1:08:17] and that's pretty much all that's

[1:08:20] it I'm like really into the SLR what do

[1:08:22] those cost I have no idea

[1:08:24] they were cheap I don't know if they

[1:08:26] still are can I get one for like

[1:08:29] 250 that's what I that's what I want to

[1:08:32] pay right Manny's got them all call me

[1:08:34] when you can get me one at 250 that's

[1:08:35] what I'm to tell her yeah I should call

[1:08:37] they were 250 I do appreciate how the

[1:08:40] Roadster maintained those doors like

[1:08:43] perfectly yeah I don't want a roadster

[1:08:45] though I think the cop is there's

[1:08:46] something special about roader yeah K be

[1:08:50] doors go up the same way on both of them

[1:08:51] all right click on that click on that

[1:08:53] we're on classic.com what are these

[1:08:54] things selling for so you want a CPE

[1:08:56] you're saying so yeah give me a c i want

[1:08:57] a want 303 aage 303 huh it still seems

[1:09:01] like especially when you consider the

[1:09:02] other cars that that was like fighting

[1:09:04] with at the time right Enzo Enzo is 4

[1:09:08] million Kut is a million five this is

[1:09:11] 33,8 whatever granted you got a five

[1:09:14] speed you got a down what are these

[1:09:16] actually selling for what what did they

[1:09:18] sell for Barrett Jackson last week I'll

[1:09:21] buy one of million dollar I'll pay two

[1:09:24] one of these things let's see bar

[1:09:25] Jackson right there 332 for a tmu car

[1:09:29] wow that's more than I want to pay yeah

[1:09:31] that's if I'm if I'm PID 332 I'd like to

[1:09:33] know the miles that' be good

[1:09:36] generally yeah that's kind of what slrs

[1:09:38] are going for these days 313 it does

[1:09:41] seem like a very special car like if we

[1:09:43] saw one we'd freak out you just never SE

[1:09:47] huh you thinking you should be maybe

[1:09:50] instead of AO you should you should what

[1:09:52] about you nah

[1:09:54] you like a you like bad breake response

[1:09:57] that's it doesn't break

[1:09:59] well neither the F40 you're over here

[1:10:02] talking on the oh I love yeah but the

[1:10:03] Hood's not 8T long on that car and you

[1:10:05] can't see where it is okay so you think

[1:10:07] that the front the front end right

[1:10:09] correspond to braking response no it

[1:10:11] makes it much you when you're parking

[1:10:13] you need brake response when you're

[1:10:14] moving and you press the pedal it

[1:10:16] doesn't do anything and you run into

[1:10:17] something because it's too long it makes

[1:10:19] it difficult I had to move a lot of

[1:10:20] those cars around my the longer the

[1:10:23] front end the better the brakes should

[1:10:24] be and because The Brak should just work

[1:10:27] generally as a car the fact that this is

[1:10:29] coupled with a car that has a nose that

[1:10:31] is so long it's like an anteater wild so

[1:10:34] you think like Volkswagen vanan breaks

[1:10:36] unnecessary because front end you're

[1:10:39] right there I'm saying it is more

[1:10:40] because of the car's shape and the fact

[1:10:43] that the brakes don't work it is really

[1:10:45] annoying to drive and that is true the

[1:10:47] brakes work it was just an early carbo

[1:10:49] ceramic and so you have to press you

[1:10:52] have you have to

[1:10:54] you have to press it down hard very

[1:10:56] annoying car to drive I that's I think

[1:10:59] they look great you know how like the

[1:11:00] Enzo has that long nose to be like F1

[1:11:03] car yeah that was the point of that were

[1:11:04] they doing that too yeah yeah Mercedes

[1:11:07] McLaren right that's fair they ran out

[1:11:09] of ideas so everyone was just and so in

[1:11:11] order to make it especially like an F1

[1:11:13] car they gave it a 5-speed

[1:11:15] automatic very

[1:11:17] special that was the goal and it says

[1:11:20] SLR in giant print in the center control

[1:11:22] stack right I K you got another

[1:11:25] one let's

[1:11:29] see not especially going

[1:11:33] through scroll down there's there's

[1:11:35] other good ones I saw another good one

[1:11:37] go down further further which which car

[1:11:40] Oliver ask which car brand has the best

[1:11:41] adaptive cruise and Lane keeping

[1:11:45] assist do you think I should answer this

[1:11:46] question correctly or or like am my

[1:11:49] politically correct answer the answer is

[1:11:52] no longer Tesla Sam wants to get a t

[1:11:53] Tesla is such a mistake it's Appliance

[1:11:55] car yeah but it doesn't you have to

[1:11:57] babysit the Adaptive now Tesla had to

[1:12:00] update their adaptive cruise the other

[1:12:02] day and now you have to like jiggle the

[1:12:04] wheel day this was like like December

[1:12:06] like it was like six weeks ago you got

[1:12:08] to jiggle the wheel now to tell the car

[1:12:09] you're there

[1:12:11] beep

[1:12:13] beep so what car doesn't do that that

[1:12:15] you also have to have your eyes monitor

[1:12:18] a lot of them any car with a capacitive

[1:12:20] touch Steering Wheel that's the game

[1:12:21] changer in the self-driving world you

[1:12:23] want to have a capacitive touch Steering

[1:12:26] Wheel and Mercedes BMW

[1:12:30] um My Land Rover my um Toyota all them

[1:12:34] Chrysler which is my favorite personally

[1:12:36] um Jeeps get away with it they're trying

[1:12:38] to sell them in any touch wheel is the

[1:12:41] greatest

[1:12:42] benefit so what's the answer I don't

[1:12:45] know anything with the

[1:12:47] wheel Sam answer one of these and then

[1:12:49] we'll stop give us one good one one good

[1:12:53] one one California answer that where are

[1:12:56] you

[1:12:58] looking do you think the Ferrari

[1:13:00] California is undervalued in the current

[1:13:02] market is it 80 Shams ask that one yeah

[1:13:06] uh is it 80 uh 80 yeah figure 80 85 80 I

[1:13:10] don't think they're under think it's

[1:13:11] properly valued I think it's properly

[1:13:13] valued but I still think it's a buy yeah

[1:13:16] yeah I think it's a but the people

[1:13:18] buying them aren't buying them because

[1:13:20] they're like it's a 3.8 to 60 front

[1:13:22] engine Ferrari convertible but the

[1:13:25] people buying them aren't buying them

[1:13:26] for those items they're buying them

[1:13:29] because it's a Ferrari it's a Ferrari

[1:13:30] they want the key there's a lot of rims

[1:13:32] there's a key yep right yeah but it is a

[1:13:35] pretty impressive car to drive just

[1:13:37] embarrassing to be seen in though I yeah

[1:13:41] among our crowd but like you drive that

[1:13:43] car most places and it's like whoa a

[1:13:46] Ferrari right I wonder if those are

[1:13:48] swappable by way that was DCT right by

[1:13:50] the way they did make it with a manual

[1:13:52] as well they did drag race you in a Cali

[1:13:55] against your little boxer spider any day

[1:13:56] of the

[1:13:57] week you would definitely win probably

[1:13:59] win in the E wagon you think so yeah

[1:14:02] it's not about speed Doug it's about the

[1:14:04] experience of driving the car I think

[1:14:05] the Cali has a great driving C does have

[1:14:07] a great driving exp I think the Cali is

[1:14:08] underrated but not

[1:14:10] undervalued that's a good way yeah yeah

[1:14:14] I agree with that because an AMG GT is

[1:14:17] probably

[1:14:18] undervalued a Cali is not undervalued at

[1:14:21] its price point right 80s 0 is the money

[1:14:24] yeah if it is the modern mondal right

[1:14:26] those are 35 right okay that's our Sam

[1:14:31] do you have any other thoughts for

[1:14:32] us no not much else to leave you guys

[1:14:35] with you don't have any thoughts any

[1:14:38] like Words of Wisdom words of

[1:14:40] wisdom no I got no wisdom Che kenon

[1:14:46] anything I still want a boxer spider

[1:14:48] yeah that's wisdom that's some Sam

[1:14:51] wisdom and I want a new WRX

[1:14:53] goodbye everyone

[1:14:58] goodbye
