▶ Play ClipThe video reveals how much YouTube pays for 1,000 views in 2025, using real earnings data from the creator's faceless channels. The creator explains factors that affect RPM (revenue per thousand views) and shares strategies to maximize earnings.
One channel earned $8,479 from 1.6 million views in 28 days, with an RPM of $5.17.
Health, business, finance, and crypto have high RPM, but celebrity news can also perform well.
A video about Pawn Stars earned $69,780 from 9.9 million views, with an RPM of $7.07.
Older audiences (35+) have higher RPM because advertisers target them for products like medication.
Q4 (Oct-Dec) has highest RPM due to holiday ad spending; Q1 and Q2 are lower.
US viewers have the highest RPM; a non-English channel had RPM of $2.21 vs $5+ for English.
Longer watch time increases RPM; a video with 7:19 avg duration had $6.18 RPM vs 4:39 had $5.09.
YouTube earnings depend on niche, audience age, season, viewer location, and watch time. Even without millions of views, passive income is possible by optimizing these factors.

4:03[00:00] So, how much does YouTube pay for 1,000
[00:02] views in 2025? Let me show you. This
[00:04] right here is one of my YouTube
[00:05] channels. And in the last 28 days, I
[00:07] have gotten 1.6 million views, 166,000
[00:11] hours of watch time for a grand total of
[00:15] $8,479. And the RPM was
[00:18] $5.17. For those of you that are
[00:19] confused about what RPM is, that
[00:21] essentially just means how much YouTube
[00:22] pays you per 1,000 views. And yes, you
[00:25] can manipulate this. Now, I know you
[00:26] don't know who I am, but my name is
[00:27] Romero. I was one of the first ones to
[00:29] start doing YouTube automation back in
[00:31] 2018. And with only three of my faceless
[00:33] YouTube channels, I have made over $1.6
[00:35] million. So, if you're looking to start
[00:37] YouTube as a side hustle or just as a
[00:39] hobby, I'm going to show you how to
[00:40] manipulate your RPM and how you can make
[00:42] the most amount of money, even if you're
[00:44] just doing it to [ __ ] around. Now, the
[00:45] first thing I want to talk about is what
[00:47] niches have the best RPM. Everybody
[00:49] knows that the health niche, business,
[00:51] finance, crypto, all of those niches are
[00:54] going to have the highest RPM, but that
[00:55] doesn't mean you should do it, right?
[00:57] Every guru on YouTube is going to tell
[00:58] you to do those because it's the easiest
[01:00] answer. But this YouTube channel that
[01:02] you're seeing here is in the celebrity
[01:03] news niche. And yes, you know, the
[01:05] business niche probably has like a $8,
[01:07] $10 RPM, but it's very hard to pull
[01:09] views like this. And by the way, this
[01:11] channel is underperforming by a lot.
[01:13] What I'm trying to say is that to have a
[01:15] high RPM on YouTube, you don't have to
[01:16] do boring niches like that. For example,
[01:18] this is one single YouTube video that I
[01:20] posted about the Pawn Stars, the Golden
[01:22] Silver Pawn Stars, uh, on the History
[01:24] Channel. It's a TV show. This video
[01:26] ended up getting 9.9 million views, 657
[01:29] hours of watch time, and that paid me a
[01:31] total of
[01:34] $69,780. And the RPM was
[01:37] $7.7. So that's a huge difference.
[01:39] That's a $2 difference per,000 views.
[01:41] Now, why is the RPM so much higher on
[01:43] this YouTube channel even though it's
[01:44] still talking about celebrities? One of
[01:46] the biggest reasons, and something that
[01:47] you should consider before starting
[01:48] YouTube, is the age of your audience.
[01:51] This is the average age of the audience
[01:53] that watch this video. over 60% of the
[01:56] viewers were over the age of 35 years
[01:58] old. Now, if I go into my celebrity news
[02:00] channel, you can see there's a huge
[02:02] difference. We're talking about 25 to
[02:03] 34. We have almost a 10% of viewers
[02:06] under the age of 24. So, yeah, the older
[02:08] your audience is, the more money you're
[02:10] going to make. Think about it from the
[02:12] advertisers perspective. Let's go ahead
[02:13] and say you work for a pharmaceutical
[02:15] company and your job is to run
[02:16] advertisement on YouTube about a
[02:19] diabetes medication. you're going to go
[02:20] to YouTube and try to target all of the
[02:23] older people. You're definitely not
[02:24] going to target people under the age of
[02:26] 17. So, as an advertiser, you have to be
[02:28] very strategic on what niches you're
[02:30] going to run your advertisements, what
[02:32] videos, what channels, what age group,
[02:34] and try to find the target audience that
[02:35] you're going for. That's just one of the
[02:37] things that come into play. Now, the
[02:38] second thing that affects RPM is the
[02:40] season. You know, we have Q1, Q2, Q3,
[02:42] and Q4. Everybody knows that Q4 is the
[02:45] best. That is October, November, and
[02:47] December. This is when advertisers on
[02:49] YouTube go crazy. They try and spend
[02:51] their entire budget, right? That's when
[02:52] people buy the most. We have a bunch of
[02:54] holidays. It's crazy. And I'm going to
[02:56] show you an example of that. Right? So,
[02:57] this channel as of right now, the
[02:58] Celebrity News One, is underperforming
[03:00] by a lot. And just to show you, this
[03:02] channel started in March of 2020. It's
[03:04] gotten 213 million views, 13.8 million
[03:07] hours of watch time, and I've made over
[03:10] $1,34,000. Now, in September of 2024,
[03:13] this YouTube channel, because this is
[03:15] when Q4 started, made
[03:18] $50,34, right? And this had an RPM of
[03:21] $8.83. And in October, this channel made
[03:25] $28,000 with an RPM of
[03:27] $8.51. Now, I switched this back to the
[03:29] last 28 days. It dropped down to
[03:32] $5.17 because I I think we're in Q2.
[03:34] We're still in Q1. I don't know. But
[03:36] seasons do matter. The third thing that
[03:38] matters is where your audience is from.
[03:40] US viewers have the highest RPM. I
[03:42] believe Germany is the second. Now, in
[03:43] the last 28 days, this YouTube channel
[03:45] that is not in English, this is in a
[03:47] completely different language, has
[03:48] gotten 1.2 million views, and that's
[03:50] paid
[03:53] $2,588. And the RPM was
[03:56] $221. So, target US viewers, target an
[03:59] older audience, or you can just get a
[04:01] [ __ ] ton of views. Now, the fourth and
[04:03] last thing that affects RPM and how much
[04:05] you're going to make on YouTube is your
[04:07] average view duration. For example, I
[04:08] posted this video 27 days ago. It's
[04:11] gotten 366,000 views, and I got paid
[04:15] $1,863. This video had a $59 RPM, and
[04:19] the average view duration was 4 minutes
[04:21] 39, which is a minute less than usual.
[04:24] What average view duration means is
[04:26] exactly what it sounds like. It's on
[04:27] average, how long did people watch the
[04:29] video? Now, I posted this video on March
[04:31] 31st of this year. It's gotten 242,000
[04:34] views and that paid me
[04:37] $1,497. The RPM of this video was
[04:40] $6.18 because the average view duration
[04:43] was 7 minutes and 19 seconds, which is
[04:46] really good. So, as a little bonus, on
[04:47] average in 2025, again, it's April 29th,
[04:51] this channel has gotten 5.5 million
[04:53] views, 538,000 hours of watch time. It
[04:56] gained 9,600 subscribers, and that paid
[04:58] me
[05:00] $31,200. If I go into revenue, the
[05:02] overall RPM this year has been
[05:05] $5.71. I only focus on these faceless
[05:08] YouTube channels. All of my channels are
[05:09] completely automated and they run by
[05:11] themselves. Besides this, this is the
[05:12] only channel where I actually have to
[05:13] sit here and and show my face. But yeah,
[05:15] if you're interested in doing YouTube
[05:16] automation, I have a school community
[05:18] where I show you guys exactly how I did
[05:19] it. See, I got a bunch of videos and
[05:21] [ __ ] I'm really bad at promoting. I
[05:23] have a blueprint here or whatever. Give
[05:25] you a list of niches, give you my
[05:26] extension for free, blah blah blah. You
[05:29] know, you know, I have members in here
[05:31] making $5,000 in in the last 7 days.
[05:33] Other members making 5,000 in 28 days.
[05:35] This student here made $6,000 in 3 days.
[05:38] And there's a bunch more. I don't know.
[05:39] You guys can check it out if you want.
[05:40] Link will be in the description or pin
[05:42] comments. I don't feel like promoting
[05:44] right now, but I hope this video helped.
[05:46] You know, it's very possible to make
[05:47] passive income on YouTube even without
[05:49] getting millions of views, right? If
[05:50] you're just looking for extra money, why
[05:52] not? [ __ ] it. Give it a shot. Post a
[05:54] video about the Kardashians. You know,
[05:55] everything's done with AI nowadays, so
[05:58] why not?
