AI Summary

This video is a step-by-step guide on how to deposit and withdraw money using the Cowrywise app, a Nigerian investment platform. The creator demonstrates both methods of depositing funds—via the Stash wallet and directly into savings or investment plans—and explains the associated fees. It also covers the withdrawal process, including the 24-hour processing time and applicable charges.

[00:16]
Two Ways to Deposit Money

The first method is depositing into the Stash wallet (acting as an in-app wallet) by copying the account details and transferring from a bank. The second method is depositing directly into a Savings or Investment Plan, bypassing the Stash wallet.

[04:04]
Stash Wallet Deposit Fee

Depositing into the Stash wallet incurs a 1.5% fee capped at 250 Naira. This fee is automatically deducted from the deposited amount.

[06:46]
Avoid Fees by Depositing Directly

Depositing directly into a Savings or Investment Plan avoids the 1.5% Stash wallet fee. The creator recommends this method to save on charges.

[08:50]
Investment Processing Fee

Investments have a flat 250 Naira processing fee per deposit. This fee is waived for users who have earned the benefit through referrals.

[09:19]
Connect Bank Account for Direct Deposits

Users can connect their bank account (e.g., Access Bank) to Cowrywise, allowing direct transfers from the bank to any savings or investment plan without using the Stash wallet.

[10:38]
Withdrawal Process and 24-Hour Delay

Withdrawals from the Stash wallet to a bank account are processed after 24 hours due to enhanced fraud detection and AML processes. Only one withdrawal can be initiated at a time.

[11:57]
Withdrawal Fee

A flat 75 Naira fee is charged for each withdrawal from the Stash wallet to a bank account.

[12:35]
Withdrawing from Savings and Investments

To withdraw from a savings plan, users must ensure the plan is not locked (e.g., fixed savings). For investments, users can sell their holdings and transfer funds to the Stash wallet, then withdraw to a bank.

Cowrywise offers flexible deposit and withdrawal options, but users should be aware of the various fees and the 24-hour withdrawal processing time. Depositing directly into plans is the most cost-effective method.

[01:52] depositing the money into this Stash wallet. So, the money is not just idle So, to do that, just come here to where you have the series plan, click on save, series plans that you have. Or if you want to create a new one, you go ahead

[02:06] video already on how to create a series plan on CowryWise. If you want that video, I'll put it in the description below. In that video, too, I talked CowryWise. The link will be in the description below. That's by the way.

[02:19] money to your savings, just come here to where you have the series. This one of the series I have right here on CowryWise. Just click on it. And once you click on it, come to the bottom side of the screen and click on top up. And

[02:31] here. But if you're depositing anything that is not among these amounts, come and then enter it. So, let's say, for example, I want to deposit 50,000. I'll just come there, click on continue, and then it will show me the different

[02:45] deposit options I have right here. So, you have bank transfer, and you have the Naira Stash right here. This is the money I have in my stash wallet. And then this third option is from your account, directly from your account. So,

[02:57] your bank account to your CowryWise app, then they can directly remove that money connected one of my bank account to my with that being said, I'm going to go right now and deposit money into my

[03:10] stash wallet and also deposit money directly into my series plan or my investment plan. So, you can see how fast it is to deposit money. And I'll video so that you guys can see the whole process and how long it takes. So, let's

[03:24] wallet. Just come here, click on stash, and then I'll just copy the account details right here on the screen and go to my bank account and send the money. So, I'll go right now and deposit about, let's say, 50,000 Naira into this

[03:36] >> A few moments later. >> So, I've just deposited 50,000 Naira and see whether the 50,000 Naira is there already. So, I'll just click on this, open it. So, let me just uh refresh the page. Oh, you see you can

[03:50] see immediately I have 151,934 Naira. I had about 102,000 Naira there before, don't forget. So, with the 50,000 Naira, that's 151,934. Now, the reason it is not 152,000 Naira exactly is because they removed a fee.

[04:04] So, you can see right here, it is in charge of a 1.5% fee capped at 250 Naira. So, they will be removing a 1.5% fee of any amount you deposit, and the maximum they can remove is 250 Naira. So, please take note of that. Now, this

[04:17] is only if you are depositing into your stash wallet. So, I'm just explaining process. So, that's how you can deposit money into your stash wallet. So, after stash wallet, just scroll up again, like I said earlier, then come here to where

[04:31] to save money, or you come here to where you have invest my money if you want to example, I want to save my money. I'll just come here, click on save my money, will show you the different savings plans that you have on the Cowrywise

[04:45] have is my regular savings, which is called Cowrywise savings. That's what I named it. And then the second one is my emergency plan, and then the third one you can save into any of these three different plans. So, let's take for

[04:58] say, emergency plan for example. Just come here, click on it, and then you can to deposit. If it's not among these amounts, like I said earlier, just come and then enter the amount right here. Now, let's take for example, I want to

[05:12] save maybe 50,000 Naira. I'll just go right there and enter 50,000 Naira, and right here on the screen, you can see the two different options. You have bank from your bank, but I'm not doing that. And then the second option is from your

[05:26] they are taking the money from your stash wallet. So, once you send that, 50,000 Naira. Now, once I click on transfer 50,000 Naira, 50,000 Naira will be taken from my stash wallet to my emergency savings. It is as simple as

[05:39] money into your stash wallet, and also take it into your savings plan. Now, let's take for example, I'm trying to invest. Just go back. Let me go back and money, just come here, click on invest my money, and then you can see the two

[05:53] Cowrywise. You have your Naira investment and your USD investment. So, let's say for example I want to do a Naira investment, I'll just click on it, Naira investment you have on the app. So, I have two Naira investment right

[06:07] now. I have the balance portfolio and the high yield investment. So, let's say these two, I'll just come right here, click on it. So, let's say this portfolio for example, just click on that, and then you come here, enter a

[06:20] there. So, I'll just enter, let's say 50,000 Naira, and then I click on here it is the same process. So, you can click on bank transfer if you want to directly, or if you want them to take the money from your stash wallet, just

[06:34] click on Naira stash, and click on transfer 50,000 Naira. So, once I click on transfer 50,000 Naira, immediately and instantly, the money is taken from my stash wallet and transferred into my balance portfolio investment. So, that

[06:46] through the stash wallet. Now, the directly into the investment without using your stash wallet, that one is would advise that you always use. Because for this stash wallet, they will

[06:59] be removing a 1.5% fee. Don't forget that. So, what you need to do is to come here to where you have overview, click on it, and then right here on the page, I'm on the savings page already, and then right here on this page, you come

[07:11] savings plans, and then pick the savings plan you want to put your money into. that I showed you earlier. So, just click on it if that's what you want to on this page, you come to the bottom

[07:23] So, I'll click on top up right there, and then you come here, click on different amount, and enter the amount you want to deposit into your savings plan. So, let's say for example 50,000 Naira again. It can be any amount. So,

[07:35] 50,000 Naira again, click on continue right there, and then you can see bank transfer and I come to the bottom side and click on transfer 50,000 where I need to send the money to. Now, if I send the money to that account,

[07:48] 50,000 will be showing directly in my serious plan. It's as simple as that. I have in my stash wallet and for this one they are not removing any fee from to deposit money to your serious plan. Now, let's take for example this is an

[08:02] investment plan too. Just go back to the home page and then come here to where right here on this page is all my different investment I have Indomie stocks, I invest in Nigerian stocks on the Cowrywise app. I have the I have

[08:38] right here. So, once you send it and it's cleared you just come here and click on transfer 50,000. And then if I click on transfer 50,000, they will show me the account details to send the 50,000 to from my own bank account. So,

[08:50] once I send it I'll be seeing the 50,000 in my investment. Now, please note that for your investment there's always a 250 Naira processing fee for any money you are seeing my own as zero is because it is one of my benefits from my referral.
