AI Summary

CryptoGorilla delivers a weekly NFT market recap, analyzing fresh mints, influencer-driven pumps, airdrop catalysts, and the shifting meme-coin launchpad landscape. He covers macro headwinds, standout collections like Digital Slop and Moonbirds, and his personal NFT buys, while keeping a bullish long-term stance.

[00:14]
Markets rocky despite SEC news

SEC announced Project Crypto (bullish), but negative news followed: no rate cuts, high tariffs, war fears, and revised job numbers down ~85% from expectations. September FOMC rate cut odds rose to over 90%, but the meeting is 41 days away.

[01:49]
New DJ mints outperform

Fresh DJ (degen JPEG) mints are popping up and performing well both for whitelisters and secondary buyers, with people gambling on rare traits days before mint.

[03:13]
XCOPY tweets move collections 2-5x

XCOPY tweeted about four collections and all did 2-5x, including Grills which hit 5x. Tracking influential wallets and Twitter accounts is a powerful strategy.

[04:08]
Digital Slop 70x for minters

Digital Slop was a $1 free mint (0.003 ETH) that ran to 0.02 ETH (~70x). Secondary buyers who swept at 0.003 ETH still got 7x. The run was driven by strong comic-book-style art, cheap entry, and the reveal game.

[05:53]
Why Base and Abstract mints struggle

Lil Bangers on Base and Pepio on Abstract underperformed. Base needs 'Base season' or founder engagement; Abstract needs XP deals. Ethereum remains the top chain for volume.

[08:12]
Labbit Boos does 45x on Bitcoin

Labbit Boos minted at $11 and traded to $180. Sub1K inscriptions went OTC for $500 (~45x from mint), showing Bitcoin NFT potential even without full understanding of the tech.

[10:17]
Moonbirds airdrop and bullish outlook

Moonbirds holders received a Towns Protocol token airdrop worth up to $2,000. The host bought one Moonbird and targets 5 ETH conservatively, possibly 8 ETH, citing the new team and Pudgy-style IP focus.

[12:41]
Bodos: Solana NFT bet

The host bought 12 Bodos, highlighting the doxxed team, their podcast, and airdrop potential. He targets 10 SOL with prior ATH near 17 SOL.

[15:21]
Memeland retraces, waits for announcements

Memeland pumped from 4 to 7 and retraced to 4. Munit launchpad has only 0.15% mind share and low volume, putting it at a competitive disadvantage.

[16:14]
Pump Fun flips Bonk in launchpad wars

Pump Fun regained #1 after a downturn; Bonk tokens like Useless (-50%), Graphite (212M to 60M), and Memecoin of Memeland (50M to 7M) cratered. Troll launched on Pump Fun went 14M to 200M.

[19:19]
Murakami NFT mint controversy

Murakami's Clone X comeback drew backlash over weird price action, an AI video, and his 'only one left in the art world' comment. Artists like Darma called it out of touch.

Despite macro volatility, the NFT market is seeing explosive short-term plays from fresh mints, influencer-driven pumps, and airdrop catalysts. The host remains selective and bullish on picks like Moonbirds and Bodos, while meme-coin launchpad competition continues to heat up.

[00:01] which ones will cook? NFT projects getting token airdrops and what's the next move for memeland. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another CryptoGorilla video. The number one NFT YouTube channel in the whole galaxy. As

[00:14] usual, I am not a financial adviser. If you appreciate this content, would you kindly hit that subscribe button and let's jump right into it. Starting off with the general markets as things have been pretty rocky over the last week for

[00:26] crypto which does affect NFTTS as all of our JPEGs are priced in crypto. Now we had a very bullish announcement out of the SEC announcing project crypto which just as a headline that should have been super bullish for our bags and prices

[00:40] expected them to go up. However, it was followed by a flurry of negative news starting off with no rate cuts which was expected but the market really didn't like it. Then we had really high tariffs out of the US on a ton of countries. We

[00:54] had Trump deploying multiple nuclear submarines. People started fearing about war. But the real nail in the coffin were the revised job numbers which came were the revised job numbers which came in like 85% down from where we thought

[01:07] they would be for the months of May and June. Now the positives to this is that the September FOMC meeting we are expected to get rate cuts. You can see it shot up to over 90%. The downside here is that meeting isn't happening for

[01:20] another 41 days. So, we still have a whiles to wait and I imagine that time we're maybe going to just keep chopping. If we get bad news, we are going to go time around we're getting the revised job numbers for July before the meeting

[01:35] Fed's pretty much going to have no choice to cut here as their dual mandate. It's not only inflation, it's also the unemployment rate. So, for me still buying crypto. I'm still buying NFTTS. But enough about macroeconomics.

[01:49] Let's talk about trading JPEGs for thousands of dollars, which have been doing really well. We are continuing to see brand new DJ mints seemingly popping up out of nowhere perform really well both for whitelisters and on the

[02:02] secondary market, which that is the perfect combination for NFTts. You don't able to make profit. They dump their bags at like a four 5x and everybody want these collections to continue getting a ton of volume and trending

[02:18] upwards, which is exactly what's happening. And these aren't the were grinding whitelist for 2 months. A lot of these are popping up. People are paying attention to them one to two days before the mint actually happens. And

[02:31] are playing the trait game. We're seeing a lot of people buy rare NFTts from these collections that, you know, nobody cares about in a certain way, but gambling on these collections which I love to see. I find this really fun and

[02:46] I much prefer trading NFTts personally over meme coins. So, a few of the collections that we've spoken about in the last two videos, we had onchain allstars which continued to get some action. It is down now. We had onchain

[02:59] minis. Same thing. It got a crazy pump here. Now it's back down. And the third one that we saw was Statics. This one was struggling to mint out. Then it got a tweet by XCOPY and out of nowhere, not only did it mint out, it got a ton of

[03:13] buying volume. Now, this is a trend that I noticed this week as XCOPY tweeted about four collections and all four of them did anywhere from a two to a 5x with this random collection that I hadn't heard of called Grills pulling a

[03:26] 5x seemingly off of his tweet because this is where all of the volume came in. So, this just shows you the power of tracking certain people on Twitter, whether it's a K, an OG, or an artist, as well as tracking their wallets,

[03:40] community, Guerilla Labs, with this bot built by Captain Y. And as you can see, So, if you would have been paying attention to that purchase, you could have gotten a position in the collection. So, if you want that wallet,

[03:55] below. Not that it's guaranteed anything he buys or tweets about is going to go up, but considering the amount of power and attention he has, it's not a bad thing to track him. Now, as for this week's runner, we had Digital Slop,

[04:08] which a lot of people vibed with the artist. They really like the art and this thing was a free mentor. It meanted for $1, which is 0.003 Ethereum, and it ran all the way to 0.02. So, that's like a 70x return for

[04:22] mentors, but like I said, you don't want it to only be profitable for mentors. You want to see people getting in on the secondary market, which is exactly what happened. People were able to buy at 0.003, which is a 10x from the mint

[04:35] price. But then it ran and anybody who bought the bottom on the secondary market was able to get a 7x return on their money. And you could see all of these yellow dots here. These are people buying above floor. Typically, these are

[04:47] rare NFTts. And if we filter here by most rare, you could see a lot of these were going for some crazy prices. So why did this collection run? and a ton of think there's a few reasons here. The main one being people really vibe with

[05:01] the art. This is like a unique comic book art style. I can't put my finger on what it is. It reminds me a little bit of like Charlie Brown or Tank Tang or one of those old school comic books. I think the second reason is the fact that

[05:13] a lot of people were able to get in at a very cheap price. They can sweep 10 20 without it, you know, being a massive risk. You're not spending $5,000 buying four NFTts. You get a really low entry. People are playing the reveal game and

[05:26] people are buying rares to gamble on this stuff. I saw a ton of people Discords I'm in. People were sharing what they got on Twitter, so they were excited about this, which again is a testament towards how much they like the

[05:39] art. However, I think a major factor that differentiates this from a couple is the fact that it's on Ethereum because this artist does have previous collections, but I believe two of them were on base. And there's another

[05:53] called Lil Bangers. This one's still minting. And I'm not telling you to go to go up. I believe it's currently under its mint price if anything. But I minted something like 25 of these because I like them. I find they're good. You

[06:07] They have like some cool clown faces and stuff. I even hit a few rares. But why didn't it do good? I think a main reason is because it's on base. I was sending this to a lot of my NFT friends and they all had the same reaction. Oh, it's on

[06:20] base. Not that Bass is a bad place to trade or have NFTTS, but Bass is very unique in the sense that it needs to be Bass season for things to pop off or you need Jesse, one of the founders of Bass to be engaging or shilling your stuff.

[06:34] Now, the same thing happened with this one, uh, Pepio, which this was supposed tweeting out the mint date, so it wasn't like as exciting. It did end up being a I haven't flipped yet, and it's

[06:48] So, these were very cheap. You know, people liked the art, even though I find main issues they have here is that there's no rares. Like, all of the rares different color background. They don't actually look rare, which I want my rare

[07:04] they know that that one's supposed to be priced higher. But again, I think the main issue for this is it's on abstract. on abstract unless you are in talks with the abstract team and you're going to

[07:17] get XP for your holders. I personally prefer buying NFTs on ETH as opposed to these other chains. And you're going to get a lot more volume on Ethereum, which that's why we're seeing collections like FUGUs running because it gets you good

[07:30] abstract XP. This or the over the last week, we also had Abstractios run. And I saw a ton of people posting about these that, oh, I can't wait to get my XP. to flip because I don't want to miss out on my abstract XP. So, when it comes to

[07:44] with the team and being able to get something in return for your holders is very important. But, I'm really liking what I'm seeing this week in terms of like den mints and it does feel like

[07:57] a mint that just pops off. A ton of people are posting about it. It gets a lot of mind share. People start fomoing in and then it's able to break this like 0.05 05 barrier 0.1 barrier and runs to.3.5 even one ETH like we used to get

[08:12] just because your collection isn't on ETH it's not going to do anything. Just over the weekend we had this collection called Labbit boos which is a play on Laboos those things that everybody's like wearing on their waist or what on

[08:26] their purses and trading for a lot of money. Uh and this one did really well. They minted for $11 and they were trading as high as I believe $180 at the top. They did start to get FUDED, which personally I didn't understand the

[08:41] FUD. I guess that person just didn't uh mint them and he was upset that they were potentially going to run. But if you hit a sub1K inscription on these, because it's the new like BRC 2.0 0 or whatever. Look, I don't know the the

[08:54] Bitcoin stuff, but if you did hit a sub1K inscription on these, they were sub1K inscription on these, they were trading OTC for $500. So that's like a 45x from the min price, but even if you didn't, at the top here, this was like a

[09:07] 15x from the min price. So these did really well on Bitcoin. And then even on hype, we had these hype mint for I believe it was 0.069 hype and they went all the way to a little bit over two hype. So, a 3x return here if you minted

[09:23] still above their mint price, but they're sub one hype. But hype is keeping an eye on. I am always checking the launchpad for upcoming mints because even I don't want to call this old because it minted on like July 10th, but

[09:37] old collections are are coming back here. We have uh the Bald Brothers here. We have uh the Bald Brothers recently hit a local high of four hype. lot of people like this stuff. A lot of people are playing on Hyperlid, Hyper

[09:51] EVM, and they're looking forward to that airdrop. So, there's a community here and if you find good mints, you can make a lot of money. Now, one upcoming that I'm looking forward to. I hope it mints in the next 2 weeks is going to be a

[10:03] liquid. I like the idea that they have that you can stake your NFTts and you're able to get a token back in return. I believe 80% of the mint price. So, you're able to stake it, still get the benefits of the illquid NFTts, but then

[10:17] you also have their token that you can go trade and get some money out of it. Jumping into legacy collections, Moonbirds had a great week getting a token airdrop from the Towns Protocol where at one point it was worth that

[10:29] they heard up to $2,000. When this person posted, they had $1,500 just for holding their Moonbird and signing up because you did have to sign up. I don't think everybody got it here. He said there was a snapshot that took place for

[10:42] those who did sign up. However, a nice airdrop and I did end up picking a Moonbird up on this dip here. I have one so far. However, I'm looking for more exposure to Moonbirds. I think it's a great play this cycle with the new team

[10:54] and what they're doing. They're really following the Pudgy playbook here with one airdrops, but then they're also focusing on IP, toys, merch, and all shade. They're very well connected with the Pudgies team. They even helped

[11:07] Pudgies along the way with some of the things that they do because they have that connection to toys with orange cap games and the team behind it is very wellversed in NFTTS. So, I know people have PTSD when it comes to Moonbirds.

[11:20] Believe me, I have that with a lot of collections, but I'm really bullish on this new team and especially if they end up doing a token, which a lot of people are speculating about. I see these going as a conservative price because it's not

[11:33] guaranteed they're going to go up at all. But my conservative target here is at least 5 ETH. But you know throughout this cycle I can see them going to eight Doodles the first time they officially announced a token they they were ranging

[11:47] same prices as Moonbirds are right now between 2 and 3 ETH and they shot up all the way to 8 ETH. Yes, they never managed to recover that price and they had a few like pump and dumps every time they would talk about the token. But I

[12:00] think sentiment around moonbirds is better than sentiment was around doodles. And doodles really just ran because we had the Pudgy airdrop, then are really the meta. So if I can pick one up, I'd like to get it under two

[12:13] ETH, ideally like 1.9 E. I think that would be the sweet spot. No idea if it gets there. However, if it doesn't, I'll probably end up just picking up some priced pretty high considering these should technically trade at like

[12:27] onetenth the price of a moonbird. So, they should be at.22 moonbirds. Again, I don't know if it gets there, but I'll definitely be picking up more Moonbirds or a lot of mythics. After that, the next collection

[12:41] that I ended up picking up 12 of is going to be Bodos. For me, this is one of the easiest bets this cycle, especially on Salana. I have zero Salana NFT exposure, so I wanted some. And with the team behind this them all being

[12:55] docks, them having their podcast and the connections they have, I think this is the perfect collection to go up this cycle and almost be the face of Salana NFTts. So, I'm hoping from here they manage to break out above five cuz

[13:07] tried to do it three time or two previous times and failed. But if these do end up going down, especially if they go back below three Salana, I'm just going to double up my position. Like ideally, I can get to 20 bodos. Like I

[13:21] see these easily going to 10 and then if they do get 1012 the narrative is going all-time high or they're going to break their previous all-time high which if we their previous all-time high which if we check on Coin Gecko is sub 17 Salana

[13:35] which I think is very achievable with this team and maybe even from there they go a little bit higher. Now, another reason why I think they're going to continue to get attention is going to be from this tweet that somebody made

[13:47] saying, "Hey, Bodos are perfectly positioned to get some airdrops because of the team behind it. They can give you like free marketing for your airdrop. Clemente doing all these dance. You have, you know, easy who streams." And

[14:01] "Don't want to say too much, but you're on to something here." And we are very, very conscious of this approach. So it would be amazing if we start getting aird drops just for holding a Bago and I'm very bullish on this team. Now

[14:15] another collection that I personally don't have exposure to but I am seeing it continue to run after recently pumping to point4 going back down to 0.2. That would have been a great buy. Monster in my server was saying should I

[14:28] buy these? I hope he did. I don't think he did but they are at.5. And I think a lot of people don't understand this me included. Like I'm not the most well-versed on this collection, but these are OG. These are from 2017, and

[14:41] you can see a lot of punks have been posting about them, like adding it to their PFP. So, it's really being embraced by a lot of punk holders who are also OGs. So, I think that's the main reason why these are running, and

[14:54] it's a very large collection at over 20,000 supply, especially with like the second, third, fourth, and fifth generations that they did. However, I wallets here who maybe they lost their wallet, they stopped looking at NFTts

[15:07] because like I said, the originals are from 2017. So, I definitely wouldn't be these run. We have a rare one here selling for 1 ETH. That's always a great sign. People are collecting these. So, definitely another collection that I'm

[15:21] keeping an eye on. But moving on, I did want to talk about Memeland, which they want to talk about Memeland, which they had that pump from 4 all the way to 7. retraced all of their gains. Currently at a 04 floor. So what's the plan here?

[15:36] announcements that they're going to be making. So ideally this week or maybe that August 7th they would have an announcement about meme strategy.

[15:48] holders of both memecoin and captains. But they put a ton of effort into this Munit launchpad. And I mean, Moon is down to ninth or 10th place here. It even as I'm filming this video, it went

[16:01] even as I'm filming this video, it went from ninth to 10th, making only.15% of mind share, getting barely any volume, and really not having that many active traders on the platform. And right now, there's this whole launchpad

[16:14] PvP going on where the main characters are Pump Fun and Let's Bonk. And as you can see, Pump Fun has flipped the script. regaining that number one position after everybody was trolling on them and calling them dead. Pump Fund

[16:27] after the sale, like it went up to 6 billion, it went down to 2 billion and everybody was trolling on it. Now it's up like 50% currently at 3.5 billion. of a comeback here. And I find the timing here is really peculiar. I can't

[16:43] say that word. uh because a lot of the Bonk tokens started going down at the same time as pump started going up really around July 25th or 26. You can really around July 25th or 26. You can see that useless a main um memecoin out

[16:57] of the bonk launchpad is down over 50%. We also have graphite or GP that a lot of people are pushing down from 212 million all the way to six. It went even lower around 60 million and same thing around uh July 26th. We also have

[17:13] memecoin of memeland but this one was again out of bonk and it went from 50 million currently like this thing is down like crazy at 7 million. So the narrative not only shift for launchpads but the tokens on those launchpads and

[17:27] but the tokens on those launchpads and we have troll the most recent big runner out of pump fund. You can see here it was launched on pump swap. This one went crazy going from 14 million all the way to it hit 200 million and what's the

[17:40] date? It's July 26th. So, there's this real like this point in time where the pendulum shifted back into Pompun's favor. So, not to say that uh Bonk is finished. Right now, we have a runner happening as we speak. And this is

[17:54] really painful to look at because I dropped into my server at 1.4 million and I did not buy over a 10x had I bought. It went all the way to 18 million with this final boss. Like, I'm seeing this meme all over the timeline.

[18:07] it. And this one was launched through Bonk. So, there's obviously going to be runners, but all that to say, like Moon is just not in the conversation. So, don't have any real runners. The biggest runner was Jugs, which is currently, how

[18:22] do I get a chart to open here? Which it went up to like 10 million and then just much just a pump and dump. Yeah, it went up to 10 million and just died out. And, getting volume. And I think one thing that I liked at first with the whole no

[18:38] dev narrative, right? there's nobody to rug the coin is who's going to push the coin because let's be honest here I get it like insiders ks everybody gets pissed but a majority of the major runners that end up taking off there's a

[18:51] going to be pushing it somebody who's going to be creating content for it getting exchange listings for the token so without a dev it's kind of moon or memeland that has to take that role themselves and push these coins forward

[19:04] manufacture their own runners which believe it or not a lot of these platforms forms do do, but if they want the tides to shift in their favor, Now, last but not least, I did want to just address this Murakami story. I know

[19:19] clones because they've been getting some really weird price action with sweeps coming out of nowhere. There's a ton of rumors about acquisitions that are weird rumors. Personally, I did not find them bullish. If that that person or

[19:34] those people buy uh Cloneex, I don't think it's happening. Uh they're down a little bit now as I guess people are starting to forget about this. But uh we which I don't even think it's him running the account. I think it's an

[19:47] agency that's posting this because he addresses himself in third person like I Murakami. He's tagging himself and all. It's just really weird. But people really did not like this. Uh this AI video was really weird, too. I don't

[19:59] copy strike, but it's not his voice. It's like an English voice and he's, you know, Japanese. like it made no sense this whole thing. And he's coming out to mint more NFTts, get more money. And here he says, "At this point, it feels

[20:13] like I, Tekashi Murakami, I'm the only one left in the art world still putting out NFTTS." And this bothered a lot of people. One, people are calling him a grifter cuz he's part of, you know, the whole Clone X thing. He also made a lot

[20:25] of NFTs and kind of like disappeared from the space. But two, there's a ton of artists who are still here continuously putting out work, art space. Like you have Sam Sprat putting on his game and doing all those

[20:38] masks, but a ton of artists who are just here and they love the space. So to say offputting. I don't know if it was the AY's idea to like, hey, how can we cause controversy? Let's say something

[20:50] controversial here to get on a lot of people's nerves. But I think, you know, Darmer got it right here. Like, hey, this is really out of touch. you made millions and you left several times already. So, people are really not happy

[21:02] uh with this mint. I know they minted a lot still, so they still made some this because I'm a fan of Tekashi. I'm a fan of of his work both in and outside of Web 3. So, I hope this is rectified and I really did not like seeing this.

[21:17] hope you enjoyed it. If you did, give it a big thumbs up. It really helps my done so, would you kindly hit that subscribe button, smash that bell notification. Thank you for watching another Cryptogorilla video.

[21:32] Peace. [Music]
