[00:02] Air fryer. They are supposed to be
[00:04] convenient, making your life easier. And
[00:06] on today's video, I'm going to be
[00:07] testing some impossible recipes. Have
[00:10] you ever made mac and cheese in an air
[00:12] fryer? You will see the results I'll be
[00:14] getting today. But most importantly, how
[00:16] about steak? You love steak? I love
[00:18] steak. I've gotten some okay results,
[00:20] but never perfect. I just finished
[00:23] eating this steak right here, and I'm
[00:26] completely speechless. And I start off
[00:28] with my favorite piece of meat. These
[00:30] are pecas, the greatest steak in the
[00:33] world. So after seasoning them with
[00:34] salt, pepper, and garlic powder, the
[00:36] next thing I needed to do was to allow
[00:37] the salt to penetrate deeply in there.
[00:39] So I set them down on a cooling rack and
[00:41] stuck them in my refrigerator for 2
[00:43] hours. That was perfect because now it
[00:44] allowed me time to test some other
[00:46] things with this air fryer. This is a
[00:48] very innovative air fryer. And I'm going
[00:50] to run it to some crazy tests because
[00:52] take a look at this. Have you ever made
[00:54] a mac and cheese in an air fryer? Me
[00:56] neither. Because check out how this is
[00:57] put together. I got the large bottom
[00:59] container, added cheddar cheese,
[01:01] followed by a generous amount of
[01:02] American cheese. After that, I just
[01:04] added plain macaroni without being
[01:06] cooked. Then I threw in some paprika,
[01:08] followed by garlic powder, some black
[01:10] pepper, some salt, and MSG. Then I added
[01:13] 1 cup of water, followed by 1 cup of
[01:15] milk. The only thing left to do now was
[01:17] to stuck it in the air fryer and set it
[01:19] to 330° F for 15 minutes. Once 10
[01:22] minutes was up, I took it off. And look,
[01:24] it didn't look that appetizing. That's
[01:26] because it needed to be stirred. At
[01:28] first, I thought there's no way this is
[01:31] going to work. But the more I mixed it,
[01:33] I started becoming a believer. One of
[01:35] the interesting things about this air
[01:36] fry is that it has dual heating
[01:38] elements, one on the bottom and one on
[01:40] the top, unlike any other. And as you
[01:42] can clearly see, the more I mix this,
[01:44] the creamier this thing became. But of
[01:46] course, it needed more milk. So, I went
[01:48] ahead and added, mixed it a little bit
[01:49] more, and in it goes for another 5
[01:51] minutes. Once the time was up, I took it
[01:53] out and take a look at it. It definitely
[01:56] needed more milk as the pasta was
[01:58] completely absorbing everything. To
[02:00] finish this off, I added pink of
[02:02] breadrumbs so that I can get a nice
[02:04] crunch. I put it right back in for an
[02:06] additional 5 minutes. And once that was
[02:07] done, I was now ready to try. I'm going
[02:09] to be honest with you guys, I am shocked
[02:12] by the results so far. And I mean, it's
[02:14] not the best mac and cheese I've ever
[02:16] made, but the convenience of this is
[02:19] just absolutely ridiculous. But the
[02:20] taste is always the most
[02:24] important. I cannot believe it actually
[02:28] worked. Seriously, everybody, I know
[02:30] you're going to ask me, is it a perfect
[02:31] mac and cheese? No, it's not perfect,
[02:34] but it tastes very nice for what it is.
[02:36] You know, I've been to a few restaurants
[02:38] that serve mac and cheese worse than
[02:40] this. I am amazed that this actually
[02:42] worked. It freaking worked. Yep. I
[02:45] cannot believe how well this worked. And
[02:47] one of my favorite parts about this air
[02:49] fryer is that it has a self-cleaning
[02:51] feature. Cleans at 500° to break down
[02:54] grease and grime. It's going to be easy
[02:55] to clean this up because believe me, for
[02:57] this next dish, I thought it was going
[02:59] to be impossible. It is a blooming onion
[03:02] done directly on the air fryer. Let me
[03:04] show you. First thing to do is to make a
[03:06] seasoned flour. I started with
[03:08] all-purpose flour, followed by paprika,
[03:10] salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
[03:12] Mix that up real good and set it aside.
[03:14] Next, you need a white onion and this a
[03:16] lid of any container. You want to set
[03:18] the onion down just like this because as
[03:20] soon as you start cutting it, it will
[03:22] prevent you from going all the way down,
[03:24] allowing you to cut this perfectly,
[03:26] making the job a lot easier to do. As
[03:28] you can see, once I was done, it made
[03:30] the job a breeze. Next, to remove some
[03:32] of the bitterness of the onion. For
[03:34] that, you just got to soak it in water
[03:36] for a little bit. As once that's done,
[03:37] you want to squeeze all of the excess
[03:39] water. And we got to make a quick
[03:40] batter. First, you throw in some eggs,
[03:42] followed by milk. Mix that up real good
[03:44] and go ahead and soak the onion in there
[03:46] as now you want to transfer to the
[03:47] seasoned flour. Make sure to add a
[03:49] generous amount of flour between the
[03:50] petals. Believe me when I tell you
[03:52] friends, the more the better here.
[03:54] Repeat the process once again because
[03:56] after adding to the batter one more
[03:58] time, put it down on a bowl and add
[04:00] bread crumbs on top of it. As now you
[04:02] want to set it down on the air fryer and
[04:04] it is now ready to be cooked. Talking
[04:06] about that, this air fryer has 15
[04:08] different types of cooking functions. It
[04:11] can do literally anything. But for the
[04:13] blooming onion, I'm just going to go
[04:14] with the air fryer setting at 375° F for
[04:18] about 20 minutes. But make sure to check
[04:20] it in between so it does not burn. As
[04:22] once the time was up, take a look. That
[04:24] got me super excited. And it was all
[04:27] done on an air fryer. To finish this
[04:29] off, I just added some ranch. And it was
[04:31] now ready to try. If you ever go to a
[04:34] restaurant like Outback Steak Houses and
[04:36] even Texas Roadhouse, they serve this.
[04:38] And the fact that you can do it at home
[04:40] with an air fryer, it is absolutely
[04:43] amazing to me. Let's see if it tastes as
[04:45] good as it looks.
[04:49] Cheers. I was skeptical with this one.
[04:52] I'll be honest with you. I thought it
[04:53] was going to burn because the heating
[04:54] element is so close. As you can see, got
[04:56] a little bit of char. Yes. But it's just
[04:58] like nice crispiness. It is exactly what
[05:01] you want. I can't believe it. This is a
[05:03] 20 out of 10. Seriously. And it worked
[05:06] extremely well. I can't believe it's so
[05:08] good. It's so good. Damn, man. Now, I
[05:11] was ready for some protein. This is
[05:13] super simple and easy to make. You first
[05:15] want to cut down your chicken breast
[05:16] just like this. Make sure to make a
[05:18] generous amount, especially if your air
[05:20] fryer has a high capacity like mine. To
[05:22] season it, I just used a barbecue rub.
[05:24] Since there's no salt involved, make
[05:26] sure to be generous with it. Once it's
[05:28] fully seasoned, you want to wrap it in
[05:29] bacon. Just make sure to keep the seams
[05:31] down. As once you're done, you want to
[05:33] lay it down just like this on your air
[05:35] fryer, one at a time. The dual heat on
[05:37] this air fryer will cook the bacon
[05:39] perfectly. I just set it to 350° F and
[05:42] I'm going to let it go for about 20
[05:44] minutes. Once the time was up, take a
[05:46] look. It cooked it to perfection. Only
[05:48] thing left to do was to plate it up. Add
[05:50] a little spicy mayo to it. And it was
[05:52] now ready for a taste test. I'm going to
[05:54] go a little bit with the Sriracha mayo
[05:56] right here.
[05:58] Cheers. Oh my god. M. It is steaming
[06:01] hot. It is so good. And it's perfectly
[06:04] golden brown, which the air fryer is
[06:06] fantastic for it. As it's a convection
[06:08] oven, it's heating everything evenly.
[06:11] It's just chicken and bacon, but it just
[06:13] hits right. You know what I
[06:14] mean?
[06:17] Wow. Probably one of the easiest thing
[06:19] to make on an air fryer. But now, now
[06:23] remember, this air fry is quite big. So,
[06:25] I want to see what happens when you cook
[06:27] a pizza on it, fresh and frozen. Let's
[06:31] see how it stacks up. First thing to do
[06:32] is to preheat the air fryer. Once the
[06:34] time is up, I went ahead and grabbed
[06:35] some fresh dough, laid it straight down
[06:37] as I want to first precook the whole
[06:39] thing. After 10 minutes, take a look. It
[06:42] pre-cooked it nicely because the dual
[06:44] heating is the key of this air fryer.
[06:46] Next, I went ahead and brushed a
[06:47] generous amount of olive oil throughout
[06:49] the whole thing. Then, I added some
[06:50] pizza sauce, followed by a generous
[06:52] amount of fresh mozzarella. Then, back
[06:54] into the air fryer it went. Once the
[06:56] time was up, I took it off and I was
[06:58] shocked because take a look at this
[07:00] pizza. It cooked it to perfection. Nice
[07:03] golden brown color and it reminded me
[07:05] almost like faukatcha. To finish this
[07:07] pizza off, I added a generous amount of
[07:10] olive oil followed by some fresh basil.
[07:12] This is a fresh dough pizza that was
[07:14] cooked on an air fryer. I mean,
[07:17] seriously, I was looking forward to see
[07:19] the best part, which is the taste
[07:21] test. I mean, I mean, the proof is in
[07:24] the pudding, everybody. To me, it's very
[07:26] similar to faukatcha. Not really
[07:27] Neapolitan style pizza, but
[07:29] nevertheless, man, I am excited to try.
[07:31] I'm actually more excited to try the
[07:33] crust. So, let's give it a
[07:35] go. Oh, wow. It's super crispy the
[07:41] front. Oh, wow. It's actually good. It's
[07:44] actually very good. Wow. This is not an
[07:46] Italian pizza whatsoever. It is nice and
[07:49] crunchy. It baked the bottom perfectly,
[07:51] which is what you want. This crust is
[07:53] golden brown. The fact that I don't have
[07:55] to heat up my pizza oven in order to
[07:58] make a New York style pizza. It's super
[08:00] quick and easy. I mean, it doesn't beat
[08:03] that. It's so good. Just in case you're
[08:05] wondering, you can obviously make frozen
[08:07] pizza as well. There's a function for
[08:09] that, too. But next, I wanted the
[08:11] ultimate test, which was my steaks. Take
[08:14] a look at them. Perfectly dry brine. The
[08:16] salt penetrated deeply in there, and
[08:18] it's nice and dry. And hopefully, we're
[08:20] going to get a good crust. I started by
[08:22] setting the function to steak. First
[08:24] thing to do is to let it preheat for 4
[08:25] minutes. Once the time was up, I went
[08:27] ahead and immediately put the steak in
[08:29] there. I got a nice sizzle, too. This
[08:31] was looking promising. As soon as the
[08:33] time was up, I opened it up. And take a
[08:35] look at this crust. I can honestly say
[08:38] the best crust I ever had on an air
[08:40] fryer. I wanted to know if the steak was
[08:42] already fully cooked or not. And for
[08:44] that, they have this tool, which is a
[08:46] wireless thermometer that will sync
[08:48] perfectly with your air fryer. Or you
[08:50] can just use this hub and keep watching
[08:52] it. And I love that it comes with two
[08:54] probes, which is perfect for this cook.
[08:56] So, I went ahead and insert them inside
[08:57] to make sure that they were going to
[08:59] cook to perfection. Then, it immediately
[09:01] went back in. And in no time at all, it
[09:03] was ready. Now, take a look at this
[09:05] crust done on an air fryer. I still
[09:09] cannot believe my eyes. Never was I able
[09:12] to get something like this. So, after
[09:14] letting it rest, it was now time to
[09:16] slice it. And when I did, look at it.
[09:18] What else would you want from a steak
[09:20] done on an air fryer? It looks
[09:22] absolutely incredible. But in the end of
[09:25] the day, we all know the most important
[09:27] thing is always the taste. I'm shocked.
[09:31] I'm seriously shocked. I cannot believe
[09:33] this steak was cooked on an air
[09:38] fryer. I mean, come on. Are you kidding
[09:41] me? It's exactly what you would expect.
[09:44] You know, obviously it's not a charcoal
[09:46] steak, but it is nice and tender,
[09:48] extremely juicy in order to cook things
[09:50] properly, get a nice sear. It is not
[09:53] easy to do, everybody, especially for an
[09:55] air fryer. And you get this kind of
[09:57] results. I mean, it doesn't get any more
[09:59] convenient than this. It's absolutely
[10:01] insane. Steak is delicious. If you are
[10:03] going to use an air fryer to cook a
[10:05] steak, this is the one you want to do it
[10:07] with, everybody, because I am
[10:08] speechless. Seriously, I would love to
[10:10] know which one today was your favorite
[10:12] recipe. But those are the results. I
[10:14] hope you guys enjoyed this video. If you
[10:15] did, hit that thumbs up. If you're not a
[10:17] subscriber, be sure to subscribe. And
[10:18] we'll see you guys on the next one. Take
[10:20] care, everybody. Because now I'm going
[10:22] to keep enjoying my pikaya on an air
[10:24] fryer.
