[00:04] first glance may just seem like a remake

[00:06] of the original but that couldn't be

[00:08] farther from the truth this four-part

[00:09] movie Saga W into existence by ano

[00:12] himself was very much his closing

[00:13] remarks to his treasured franchise and a

[00:15] Curt and call to fans of the series a

[00:18] series that expanded past the

[00:19] expectations of an anime becoming

[00:21] somewhat of a cultural Keystone of anime

[00:23] fandom picking up where I left off and

[00:25] making sense of Evangelion I'll pick

[00:26] apart and analyze Evangelion 1.0 2.0 3

[00:30] 3.0 and 3.0 + 1.0 making clear how all

[00:33] of these followup Neon Genesis and end

[00:35] of Eva on a rather linear timeline I've

[00:37] sectioned this video by each movie where

[00:39] I'll guide you through and make sense of

[00:40] what exactly is the Catalyst for these

[00:42] drastic shifts in narrative and how the

[00:44] movie Saga transform the story of this

[00:47] young depressed kid shinji's story has

[00:49] always been his to write from the very

[00:50] beginning and this time he may have

[00:52] finally got it

[00:54] right even gallan you were not alone is

[00:57] the first and most similar entry to the

[00:59] original Neon Genesis story which means

[01:01] this will be the shortest section of the

[01:02] video with that said there are some very

[01:04] important differences that play into the

[01:06] entire reason that the story drastically

[01:08] shifts the most vital change is found in

[01:10] choices made which for a show with heavy

[01:13] Central focus on character relationships

[01:15] he's make for a heavy impact Shinji is

[01:17] noticeably more driven to help those

[01:19] around him and way less sulky and

[01:21] self-centered here he decides to Pilot

[01:23] 01 for the first time just for the sake

[01:25] of saving Rey and needs no more

[01:27] convincing from the mech itself saving

[01:29] his life like in the original and then

[01:30] there's misato who is more Hands-On when

[01:33] it comes to the pair's relationship a

[01:34] course separation in NG between Shinji

[01:36] and her was the lack of communication

[01:38] where Shinji needed a parental figure to

[01:40] help guide him misato lacked the ability

[01:42] to sufficiently fill that role but here

[01:44] she does a much better job at it chewing

[01:46] him out for disobeying her orders during

[01:48] the fight with Sham shell showing worry

[01:49] and frustration when he up and leaves

[01:51] without telling her and all around

[01:52] helping him grasp the cause of effect he

[01:54] has on others these two of a much more

[01:56] put together relationship because as

[01:59] individuals they are in a much better

[02:01] head space while they both still fight

[02:02] with the same issues they fa during Neon

[02:04] Genesis they're much more fit to deal

[02:06] with their trauma and struggle resulting

[02:08] in a different outcome a large piece of

[02:09] the puzzle that is the new story why

[02:11] these two have a changed personality

[02:13] even if only slightly is an interesting

[02:15] question to pose one which can be

[02:17] answered by the wild twist sitting at

[02:19] the core of the movies while a massive

[02:21] spoiler I think to fully understand the

[02:23] events as we move forward I should fill

[02:25] you in now the characters of Evangelion

[02:27] are in somewhat of a loop with kodu at

[02:29] the center of this anomaly it's assumed

[02:31] that the original Evangelion series was

[02:33] the first outcome of a string of

[02:35] rebirths after leaving Shinji and death

[02:37] koru wrote their names in The Book of

[02:39] Life meaning the two are bound by Fate

[02:41] to meet each other for eternity kodo's

[02:44] love has driven him on a multi-life

[02:45] journey as he attempts to give Shinji

[02:47] the happy ending he deserves being born

[02:49] with the memories of his past lives and

[02:51] hopes of one day being able to break the

[02:53] cycle of demise his friend has found

[02:55] himself trapped into the final scene of

[02:57] 1.0 teases that this time thing are

[03:00] different near the seal moon base that

[03:01] is manufacturing Eva Mark 6 a new

[03:04] Evangelion that is supposedly created of

[03:06] a vessel of one of the atoms a plot

[03:08] point that lives largely in mystery it

[03:10] seems during the second impact this time

[03:12] around there were five atoms this Mark

[03:15] six being the first atom sealed even

[03:17] gallion which uses one of the bodies

[03:19] while the souls get a very different use

[03:21] which we'll get into more later but for

[03:23] now just know that there's something

[03:25] else at work here something we aren't

[03:26] directly told kodu sits up from a line

[03:29] of

[03:30] once more he awakens to a new world once

[03:33] more he attempts to guide Shinji to the

[03:35] life he

[03:38] deserves an angel Dean III has escaped

[03:42] captivity from underneath a Euro Russian

[03:44] base in the Arctic Mari a new even gelan

[03:47] pilot launches the Eva provisional unit

[03:49] 05 to successfully defeat the angel

[03:51] self-destructing her unit to finish it

[03:55] off Kaji comments on her ability as a

[03:58] pilot before she's presumably taken to

[04:00] infiltrate the Japan ner Wing now the

[04:02] confusion around MTI and why it was

[04:03] decided to add a major Eva pilot to the

[04:06] series can be explained in several ways

[04:08] for one ano just wanted to add a new

[04:10] character and that's that's pretty much

[04:12] it another more narrative driven reason

[04:15] is that mari's inclusion heavily shakes

[04:17] Up character relationships pushing them

[04:19] into positive directions which is

[04:21] exactly what a lot of them need to reach

[04:23] a happy

[04:24] ending gendo and Shinji visit ui's grave

[04:28] which is just an empty plot of land UI

[04:30] soul is once again inside unit 01 with

[04:33] the approach of the seventh Asuka makes

[04:35] her arrival she single-handedly defeats

[04:37] and kills the angel before meeting

[04:39] Shinji for the first time oddly though

[04:41] there seems to be something that feels

[04:43] different while she may still be the

[04:45] sundrea we all remember her personality

[04:47] is slightly altered and more obvious her

[04:49] last name has completely changed as it

[04:51] turns out this Asuka is the sole

[04:53] surviving clone of the shikinami line

[04:55] created to Pilot 02 in a similar manner

[04:58] to raise creation this Uka never had

[05:00] parents never had the trauma that came

[05:02] with her mom's crazy state or her dad's

[05:04] neglect this time she faces loneliness

[05:07] in a much more different Manner and

[05:08] because of this change she becomes a

[05:10] whole new character this Asuka is a bit

[05:12] more direct and more open to Shinji

[05:15] lying in the futon with him of her own

[05:16] valtion and not by sheer accident she is

[05:19] more expressive of her emotions and this

[05:21] personality change along with Shinji

[05:23] helps move the relationship in a

[05:25] direction away from the iconic End of

[05:27] Evangelion scene that was built upon

[05:29] their poor communication and immaturity

[05:31] these two along with most of the

[05:33] characters in the series act more grown

[05:35] up and a little less self- focused a

[05:38] point we shouldn't

[05:40] Overlook instead of delivering the

[05:42] embryo of Adam Kaji gifts gendo with the

[05:44] key of naukar and items name that I most

[05:46] likely completely butchered but will

[05:48] allow gendo to attain a type of godhood

[05:51] when the time comes for instrumentality

[05:53] as for now the object remains an item

[05:55] shrewd in ambiguity the group joins Kaji

[05:58] aboard in aqua reservation center that

[06:00] hopes to bring back life to the sea that

[06:02] is Tainted in red much like the oceans

[06:04] of end of Eva while exploring this

[06:06] vessel sahak quel the eth attempts to

[06:09] attack Tokyo 3 the pilots are forced to

[06:11] band together and launch a team effort

[06:13] attack to defeat the angel the group

[06:15] surpassing their individual limits to

[06:17] prevent destruction from being brought

[06:19] upon their

[06:21] city in the aftermath Eva 01 and 0 are

[06:25] heavily damaged seal makes note that 0

[06:27] has served its original purpose and that

[06:30] only 01 should be repaired what 0's

[06:32] purpose was is not explored any deeper

[06:35] and my assumption was to assist in

[06:37] defeating Angels prior to the arrival of

[06:43] 02 M arrives in Tokyo meeting Shinji for

[06:46] the first time in a rushed confusing

[06:48] entry into the main story that ends with

[06:50] her running off not to be seen again

[06:52] until the climax 2.0 during this futy

[06:55] and gendo gaze at the Marvel of Eva Mark

[06:57] 6 as production is near complete of the

[06:59] moon Gundam kodu sits upon its finger

[07:02] pondering what's to come Ray has taken

[07:04] it upon herself to try to mend the

[07:06] relationship between gendo and Shinji

[07:07] she cares for them both and unlike her

[07:09] NG counterpart she gets more emotionally

[07:11] involved with others and desires to

[07:13] bring upon change in their life she gets

[07:15] gendo to agree to a dinner party with

[07:16] her and the rest of the pilots but a

[07:18] wrench is thrown into the system as Eva

[07:20] for is delivered to Japan that very same

[07:22] day and the activation does not his

[07:25] plan in rebuild toi never becomes a

[07:28] pilot takes it upon herself to activate

[07:31] the Eva on behalf of Rey so that she can

[07:33] prepare for the dinner party a very

[07:35] selfless act we would normally not

[07:36] expect from the German suere but it

[07:38] seems that karma is not on her side Riel

[07:42] engulfs Asuka drawing her near its core

[07:44] somewhat consuming her she's confronted

[07:46] by Giggles of a child soon to be that of

[07:48] the DNA donor of her clone series The

[07:51] Rush of images presented to her

[07:52] eventually halts and the ninth Angel is

[07:54] born from the body of

[07:56] 04 with 01 being the only operable Eva

[08:00] Shinji is solely dispatched to confront

[08:02] 04 he refuses to fight in fear of

[08:04] hurting Asuka who resides inside but by

[08:06] choosing an action he provides nothing

[08:08] of service to her not death nor a saving

[08:11] hand gendo once more has not the

[08:13] patience for his child's morals and

[08:14] activates the dummy plug once more

[08:16] Shinji watches on in horror as Ziva rips

[08:19] the angel limb from limb once more

[08:21] crushing his friend

[08:28] along

[08:32] after shinji's attempt to assault nerve

[08:34] HQ goes arai he leaves bowing never to

[08:36] Pilot

[08:38] again in his absence the 10th Angel

[08:40] makes its assault on nerve with 01

[08:43] refusing to accept the dummy plug

[08:44] nerve's Only Hope for survival is the

[08:46] hijack 02 piloted by motti she attempts

[08:49] to defeat the angel using a power much

[08:51] like the berserk mode of NG this time

[08:53] deemed beast mode which similarly

[08:55] activates when Evas surpassed their

[08:57] limiters but this power proves not to be

[08:59] enough to bring this Angel down Ray

[09:01] launches in a suicide charge and her

[09:03] defective Eva an N2 m in hand with the

[09:05] intent to the angel but her bravery is

[09:08] in vain as the bean emerges unscathed

[09:10] consuming Eva 0000 along with Reed see

[09:13] in this chaos Shinji breaks his vow and

[09:15] once more pilot

[09:17] 01 he forces the angel out of nurb HQ

[09:20] and loses power during the confrontation

[09:22] on the surface his Eva enters a berserk

[09:24] State fusing with Shinji but this time

[09:26] he surpasses what we would initially

[09:28] expect as the story he makes a mental

[09:30] connection with the angel as he tries to

[09:32] rescue Ray from inside as he does this

[09:34] though the body of Adam along with the

[09:36] soul of Lilith and a lan all combined

[09:38] with the Angel's core creating a pseudo

[09:40] Godlike being the final form of Evas 01

[09:43] flails into the sky as the world around

[09:45] it shifts into horrific shades of red

[09:48] and purple the third impact begins it

[09:50] seems this is what genda wanted all

[09:52] along a stepping stone in a plan that we

[09:54] have lost all knowledge of the story has

[09:56] drifted too drastically from its

[09:58] original tracks and what comes next is

[10:01] not something we could predict from past

[10:02] events we have reached an end as

[10:05] something new

[10:12] begins 01 is struck down by kodu

[10:15] piloting the now finished Eva Mark 6

[10:17] Wheeling the Spear of casassus he makes

[10:19] a comment that this time he will show

[10:21] Shinji real happiness to stop the near

[10:23] third impact a human must be sacrificed

[10:26] Kaji decides to be the one to burden

[10:28] this task much to mis's grievance she

[10:30] attempts to join him but he tells her

[10:32] she can she has an obligation to their

[10:34] unborn child to see him to this new

[10:36] world and she knows this too his heroism

[10:38] prevents the total Destruction of Earth

[10:40] but the landscape has completely changed

[10:42] the event has given the name near third

[10:49] impact Asuka and Marti launched an

[10:51] operation to retrieve Eva Z1 from orbit

[10:54] since the near impact has been dormant

[10:56] in a test RCT like coffin Shinji trapped

[10:58] with it along with Ray after

[11:00] successfully retrieving and warding off

[11:02] the ambushing Nemesis Eva drones Shinji

[11:04] is salvaged from the core of 01 being

[11:06] returned to a human form Ray on the

[11:08] other hand is not found within when

[11:10] waking from this dormant State he's

[11:12] extremely confused not only has 14 years

[11:15] pass but everybody hates him his actions

[11:17] have created an apocalyptic landscape

[11:20] and he's become the scapegoat blame for

[11:22] the state of things even misato the head

[11:24] of Willie an anti-al organization that

[11:26] has imprisoned Shinji and I don't say

[11:28] that lightly on his neck is an explosive

[11:30] device that will activate if he triggers

[11:32] another even gelion Awakening like

[11:33] during the near third impact on top of

[11:35] that misato has the kill switch to use

[11:38] at her own bition if it be so needed the

[11:40] Salvage 01 has been repurposed to power

[11:42] the ship that Willie uses as Shinji will

[11:45] never be allowed to Pilot again the

[11:46] carrier is given the name wonder and has

[11:48] strength equal to Evas given the device

[11:51] that powers it Shinji is confronted by

[11:53] Asuka while being interrogated she meets

[11:55] him with a cold anger demeanor that more

[11:57] closely resembles the Asa of Neon

[11:59] Genesis yet more put together and less

[12:02] volatile at the same time miraculously

[12:04] she survived being crushed 14 years

[12:06] prior and since then has not aged stuck

[12:08] in the body of her 14-year-old self a

[12:10] curse that she and Mari suffer from

[12:12] supposedly caused by prolonged exposure

[12:15] to LCL and since the pilots all sit in

[12:17] this stuff for extended periods of time

[12:19] they've all developed this curse further

[12:21] explaining why shinji's body didn't age

[12:23] while he was in a pseudo coma as Asuka

[12:25] antagonizes Shinji he becomes even more

[12:28] confused and distressed not only is he

[12:30] constantly blamed but he's refused

[12:32] answers to his questions he's unsure if

[12:34] these people around him are really his

[12:35] friends from long ago sharing nothing

[12:37] but physical features to his memories he

[12:39] ends up dissociating refusing to accept

[12:41] that this is what the world has become

[12:43] his sole desire being to find

[12:47] Rey almost as if answering his calls Ry

[12:50] infiltrates the ship piloting Eva mark9

[12:52] given his situation aboard the Wonder

[12:54] Shinji finds it difficult to think of

[12:56] any reason to stay and decides to leave

[12:57] with Ray he is unable to bring herself

[13:00] to flip the trigger on shinji's bomb

[13:01] collar as he escapes into the

[13:08] clouds when arriving at nerve HQ Shinji

[13:11] finds it in Ruins despite this it's

[13:14] fully operational his father welcoming

[13:16] him explained that he and a boy named

[13:17] kodu are to Pilot Eva 13 together and

[13:20] retrieve the spears of casassus and

[13:21] Linus he doesn't put much thought into

[13:23] the motives behind this action and

[13:25] simply agrees to do it not even curious

[13:27] about what Eva 13 is is after being

[13:29] dismissed he finds that Rey has no

[13:31] memories of their past and acts simply

[13:33] on the orders of gendo he desperately

[13:35] attempts to find some of the old Ray in

[13:37] her but is left disappointed and further

[13:39] depressed his final hope for a piece of

[13:41] the reality he knew prior to his coma

[13:43] has proved futile this is not his

[13:47] Ray as he fiddles with his broken

[13:49] Walkman kodu approaches him asking if

[13:51] he'll play a piano duet over the course

[13:53] of time the two form a deep bond and

[13:55] during this time Shinji also attempts to

[13:57] bring back some of the way he knows

[13:59] unable to give up the hope he holds on

[14:01] to delivering her favorite books to the

[14:02] shank she stays eventually after the two

[14:04] had built a closer connection kodu shows

[14:06] Shinji the true scope of his actions 14

[14:09] years ago the truth behind the hate

[14:11] Humanity has for him the crystallized

[14:13] destruction before them coats much of

[14:15] Earth leaving a Barren red desert near

[14:17] incapable of cultivating life the near

[14:18] third impact seem to have started a

[14:20] confusing and ambiguous process that

[14:23] attempted to bring out evos from the

[14:24] earth a core-like Crystal covering the

[14:26] entirety of Earth and crude likee

[14:27] variations of Eva roaming about doing

[14:30] everything in their power to prevent

[14:31] this destruction from being reverted

[14:33] Shinji is left in awe and becomes deeply

[14:35] disturbed by the consequences of what

[14:37] was just a selfless action saving a

[14:39] friend seeing shinji's attempts to

[14:42] connect with this new Ray fski feels the

[14:44] need to explain the true nature of Ray

[14:45] to him that being she's a clone of his

[14:47] mother one of many and that his mother

[14:49] lives on within Eva 01 this information

[14:51] causes Shinji a spiral resulting in a

[14:54] panic attack he feels himself collapsing

[14:56] as everything he thought he knew becomes

[14:58] doubted afraid of the truce hiding

[14:59] behind Each corner of his

[15:02] existence kodu intervenes calming his

[15:05] friend and taking the collar around his

[15:07] throat and Dawning it on himself a

[15:09] symbol of him removing the burden of Sin

[15:11] from Shinji onto himself since they must

[15:13] P the Eva together to retrieve the

[15:15] spears as long as one of them has the

[15:17] bomb CER on in the worst case an impact

[15:19] can still be avoided codu explains the

[15:21] spears will allow them to revert the

[15:23] damage he's done allowing for a return

[15:24] to the world that Shinji desperately

[15:26] clutches on to calming his panic

[15:29] the two enter the double plug Eva and

[15:31] descend into terminal Dogma where lth

[15:33] lies in a large and crude form that

[15:36] remains unexplained we received minimal

[15:37] information of the horrors that must

[15:39] have taken place over the past 14 years

[15:41] and all we can assume is that the state

[15:43] of things is just one of many failed

[15:45] attempts by gendo to achieve his goal

[15:47] mistakenly KOLO believes that gendo will

[15:50] allow them to return the world to its

[15:51] original state blinded by his desire to

[15:53] see the best in others Ray follows as

[15:55] backup in the mark 9 as gendo knows

[15:57] Willie will make a move on them during

[15:59] the operation and just as predicted

[16:01] Asuka and Mar launch an ambush they're

[16:03] surprised to see Shinji behind the

[16:04] controls again Asuka angrily asking if

[16:07] he plans to start another impact which

[16:09] he asserts he can save the world that he

[16:10] can write his wrongs she claims he's a

[16:12] fool to think that he can fix anything

[16:14] but he's blinded by his hope for a

[16:15] solution a way to bring an end to the

[16:17] resentment cast upon him hka and Marty

[16:19] are unable to stop the manic Shinji As

[16:21] Eva 13 approaches the decaying Lilith as

[16:24] they move closer it appears that Eva

[16:25] Mark 6 has connected with Lilith and the

[16:28] Spears present are both of linous the

[16:30] cassia spear has somehow been replaced

[16:32] kodu realizes he's been tricked by gendo

[16:35] and he insists that they stop but this

[16:37] enrages Shinji believing that he too

[16:39] like Asuka and misato is betraying them

[16:41] these heightened emotions semia awaken

[16:43] Eva 13 as it sprouts two additional arm

[16:46] and K's controls are deactivated as

[16:48] Shinji removes the set of Spears from

[16:50] the skull of lth shinji's begs not to go

[16:52] through with this but in his Mania he

[16:54] can't hear them too focused on his

[16:56] inmate desire to change everything back

[16:58] with the spears removed the Evangelion

[17:00] Mark 6 is removed from imprisonment Ray

[17:02] cuts off its head releasing the 12th

[17:04] Angel an entity with very little

[17:06] background except that killing it would

[17:08] only bring death and destruction a

[17:09] reason that it may have been sealed in

[17:11] terminal Dogma the Eva 13 absorbs the

[17:13] angel fully Awakening Dawning two Halos

[17:16] suspending in the sky the doors of Guff

[17:18] open allowing unborn souls to pass into

[17:20] this realm as the truth or impact begins

[17:23] gendo shuts down the steel monoliths

[17:25] thanking them for their service to human

[17:27] civilization over the years it seems

[17:29] that seal were not necessarily humans

[17:32] like an NG they were life forms that

[17:33] altered their existence to live on

[17:35] indefinitely to help guide humans to the

[17:37] events transpiring today and now that

[17:39] their service is complete it's time they

[17:41] join what lies at the end of life and

[17:43] beginning of

[17:45] death hodu explains to Shinji that he

[17:48] was the first Angel Adam since he is not

[17:50] his original pure form he is the acting

[17:52] 13th Angel one that comes after the

[17:55] assumed last he tells Shinji that he

[17:56] will do what he can to prevent the

[17:58] impact from happening the choker

[17:59] activating around his neck since the Eva

[18:01] 13 needs an angel and human pilot there

[18:03] is a way to prevent the events Shinji

[18:05] realizes what this means but his cries

[18:08] cannot stop the

[18:09] [Music]

[18:13] bomb Ray loses control of Mark 9 as

[18:16] Asuka attempts to destroy it before it

[18:18] can get to the core of the Wonder ship

[18:20] where 01 lies not much is known of the

[18:22] mark series besides that they house

[18:24] Adam's vessels these strange Souls seem

[18:26] to desire a future that is somewhat in

[18:29] line with the goals of nerve assisting

[18:30] gendo and his Endeavors and then there's

[18:32] the mysterious Unit 13 and Eva created

[18:35] of the body of these vessels but that

[18:36] which is very unique compared to the

[18:38] other four and is equal to that of 01

[18:41] Unit 13 can be seen in the Dead Sea

[18:43] strolls bringing upon something like the

[18:45] apocalypse surrounded by the mark series

[18:47] that act as the horsemen of the

[18:49] apocalypse and then there's Mark 6 a

[18:51] unit also created from a body of these

[18:53] vessels that at some point became

[18:55] occupied by the strange 12th Angel it's

[18:57] worth noting that that these atoms

[18:59] described are very different to kodo

[19:01] they are not the atom if that makes any

[19:03] sense at all to you if it didn't that's

[19:05] completely okay this is the most

[19:07] unexplained cryptic plot point of the

[19:09] entire rebuild series and no matter how

[19:11] much I try to make sense of it it's

[19:13] still just confusing and so we just push

[19:16] on moving the limiters of 02 Asuka

[19:18] enters beast mode allowing her to fight

[19:20] the a Walmark 9 into submission Ray is

[19:22] forced to make a decision for herself on

[19:24] what it is she should do she decides to

[19:26] eject her plug allowing Asa opening to

[19:28] self-destruct 02 with Mark 9 along with

[19:31] it before ejecting and suit inside Eva

[19:33] 13 Shinji has become mentally withdrawn

[19:36] reaching a degree of inaction similar to

[19:37] his Neon Genesis cell mty grabs a hold

[19:40] of the Eva and force launches his entry

[19:42] plug before nerve can fully draw his

[19:43] energy the unit 13 dropping to the

[19:45] ground a lifeless husk the third impact

[19:48] has once again been somewhat

[19:53] avoided despite being saved Shinji

[19:56] remains unresponsive to the world around

[19:58] him aimlessly going through the motions

[20:00] Asuka forces him into while initially

[20:02] thinking of leaving him she can't bring

[20:03] herself to go through with it and so she

[20:05] acts as a shoulder to lean on Ray

[20:07] joining them as they wander through the

[20:08] barren landscape in search of

[20:11] [Music]

[20:15] rescue with the absence of Asuka m is

[20:18] taken to Paris by ritzo and a squad to

[20:20] perform an activation protocol that

[20:22] wipes large chunks of land clean of the

[20:24] crystal core likee substance and shields

[20:26] them from the angel Evangelion likee

[20:28] creatures that have been roaming the

[20:29] Earth since the near third impact these

[20:31] creatures have little background

[20:33] information but are most likely

[20:34] amalgamations of Angel Souls that slip

[20:37] through the doors of Guff during the

[20:38] two3 impacts molding with even gelion

[20:40] pieces over time creating subpar vessels

[20:43] these creatures act against the luan's

[21:51] finds an existence that is of her own

[21:54] not one to fulfill gendo's selfish goals

[21:56] or shinji's image of her day in in and

[21:58] day out she works making friends with

[22:00] the Villagers learning new parts of life

[22:02] from them and especially meami at

[22:04] kensuke Shinji continues the same

[22:06] pattern of behavior he slumps in the

[22:08] corner refusing to interact with his

[22:10] environment when confronted by Asuka

[22:11] when he first arrives he sees she's been

[22:13] equipped with a bomb choker as well the

[22:15] sight of it brings back The Haunting

[22:17] last minutes he had with kodu causing

[22:19] him to P it seems that both she and Mari

[22:22] have been deemed dangerous persons and

[22:24] just as Shinji was earlier equipped with

[22:26] his collar along with no longer aging

[22:28] ASA suffers another ailment as well when

[22:31] absorbed in the bardel she lost form

[22:33] contorting with the angel into something

[22:35] like a mixing pot When It Was Defeated

[22:37] she was originally presumed dead but

[22:39] through sheer will she absorbed the

[22:40] angel and returned to shape but it came

[22:42] at a cost she was no longer human she

[22:45] had no need for food water or sleep also

[22:48] gaining unique angel-like abilities this

[22:51] semi-human semi- Angel existence along

[22:53] with the Hostile treatment she's met

[22:55] with because of it has made her turn

[22:57] cold and withdrawn on towards Humanity

[22:59] something she projects onto Shinji

[23:00] kensuke tells her she should cut him

[23:02] some slack as he's probably been through

[23:04] a very traumatic experience which makes

[23:06] her pull back the relationship between

[23:08] these two is somewhat of a guardian in

[23:10] their Ward I personally see kensuke as

[23:12] filling a role that bounces asuka's

[23:14] dismissive Behavior towards others

[23:16] prompting her to see a different

[23:17] perspective this relationship however

[23:19] never really crosses on romantic it only

[23:21] takes a few days for Asuka to explode

[23:23] towards Shinji angered at his disregard

[23:25] for the things he still has forcing food

[23:28] down his throat upset that he takes for

[23:29] granted the ability to still eat this

[23:31] aggressive maneuver causes Shinji to

[23:33] storm off he finds an abandoned Tower

[23:35] which he now uses as a place for

[23:37] Solitude Ray eventually wanders to

[23:39] kensuke's home asking Uka where she can

[23:41] find Shinji she tells her but not before

[23:43] advising her as a clone they were both

[23:45] created with limiters so they could

[23:47] never surpass their creators resulting

[23:49] in them lacking in areas of emotion

[23:51] Ray's series was always created to like

[23:53] Shinji that's just how they made her

[23:55] however Ry has no issue with this and

[23:57] continues to show him affection because

[23:58] that's what she wants to do she begins

[24:00] visiting him every day at the tower

[24:02] bringing him food to eat which for the

[24:04] most part he ignores every once in a

[24:06] while caving to his hunger and devouring

[24:08] the rations sobbing afterwards at his

[24:11] inability to stay committed to his wish

[24:13] to starve and

[24:14] [Music]

[24:15] die Ray is eventually able to get Shinji

[24:18] to communicate his emotions in an

[24:20] outburst of pent up feelings he declares

[24:22] that there's nothing he cares about

[24:24] anymore he's destroyed everything that

[24:25] he's better off being alone where he

[24:27] can't hurt anyone and no one can hurt

[24:29] him a state similar to the self he was

[24:31] in the end of Eva he questions her on

[24:33] why is she so nice to him her response

[24:36] being that we as an all Rays love you

[24:39] these words nud Shinji to once more take

[24:44] action he begins to assist kensuke on

[24:46] his various jobs and fishes for The

[24:49] Village at the abandoned Tower when he

[24:50] is off duty one day kensuke takes Shinji

[24:53] to meet Kaji but it's not the one that

[24:54] we are familiar with his son named after

[24:57] him and in honor of his sacrifice he

[24:59] knows nothing of his parents a wish that

[25:01] misato had as she felt she could offer

[25:03] nothing for him as a mother so she

[25:05] stayed out of his life the realization

[25:07] of what misu has been through puts her

[25:09] actions into perspective for Shinji he

[25:11] begins to understand what she is

[25:12] fighting for both in the present and in

[25:14] Legacy Kaji died so that his child could

[25:16] live and misato chose a life for him

[25:18] that she personally thought was better

[25:20] than what she could offer as a mother as

[25:22] Willie's Commander she Shields him from

[25:24] the harshness of the world protecting

[25:26] him in some ways she's more of a parent

[25:28] through this sacrifice than if she

[25:30] stayed and raised him kensuke believes

[25:32] that misato regrets the fact that Shinji

[25:34] became the scapegoat for everything that

[25:36] came after the third impact a concept

[25:38] supported by her inability to blow his

[25:40] bomb choker when he left the Wonder

[25:42] despite the danger she'd be let and walk

[25:44] free meaning he holds equal weight to

[25:46] the person she has chosen to protect

[25:48] just like her son she loves Shinji more

[25:53] anything as Shinji is fishing one

[26:27] needs to in order to survive and this

[26:29] Ray has reached this limit we won't

[26:31] never know if this was gendo's cruel

[26:33] programming so that Shinji would

[26:35] experience the same loss his father

[26:36] suffered or just some twist of fate a

[26:38] question fudi poses to himself aboard

[26:40] the nerve ships regardless the ray we

[26:43] became attached to is gone once

[26:47] more the wond ship returns to the Tokyo

[26:50] settlement to deliver supplies and

[26:51] retrieve Asuka for the final assault but

[26:53] it seems Shinji has decided he needs to

[26:55] go with despite kensuke and toi and

[26:57] imploring him to settle here that he

[26:59] doesn't need to protect them anymore he

[27:00] can't leave things how they are his

[27:02] father is out there and he's the one who

[27:04] should stop them you can see in his

[27:05] flush cheeks that Ray's death has left

[27:07] him grief stricken but it seems that he

[27:09] has matured grown out of his pattern of

[27:10] inaction knowing that doing nothing will

[27:12] not bring upon change there's something

[27:14] only he can do and he has to see to

[27:17] it gendo has retrieved Evangelion 13

[27:20] with ambitions to reactivated at the

[27:22] epicenter of the second impact in

[27:24] Antarctica using the black moon which

[27:26] has been turned into something of a

[27:27] space spacecraft misato has gotten heat

[27:29] of this and Willie launches a final

[27:31] operation to neutralize Eva 13 and bring

[28:03] the realization that Asuka was angry at

[28:06] inaction when she was trapped in Bell 14

[28:09] years ago he didn't help her or kill her

[28:12] afraid of taking responsibility in any

[28:14] given situation Satisfied by his ability

[28:16] to recognize his greatest weakness she

[28:18] finally expresses to shinshi that she

[28:20] had a crush on him all those years ago

[28:22] but now she's gone and grown up before

[28:24] him those same feelings being but a

[28:26] memory having expressed the feeling

[28:37] affirms that they will meet again giving

[28:41] forward nerve launches an assault on

[28:43] wonder coordinated by fui as the ships

[28:46] enter Naval Warfare the two even gelion

[28:48] piloted by Marty and Asuka ward off the

[28:50] Swarms of Eva Mark sens equivalent to

[28:52] the mass-produced series in the end of

[28:54] Eva as they near Eva 13 Marty covers

[28:57] osar as she presses forward to

[28:58] neutralize the unit she's stopped when

[29:00] her Eva instinctively activates an at

[29:02] field and a fear response to what lies

[29:04] inside 13 she chooses to ignore this and

[29:07] unseals the power of the ninth angel

[29:09] that lies within her shattering her own

[29:11] Eva's at field with the one resonating

[29:13] from within her allowing her to attack

[29:14] unit 13 but stripping her of her

[29:16] humanity and playing right into gender's

[29:18] plan he attacks and removes asuka's plug

[29:20] from the even gallion inserting it into

[29:22] his own unit which needs a little and an

[29:24] angel pilot to operate at full potential

[29:26] inside her plug ASA is confronted by her

[29:29] original the DNA and Doner of the

[29:30] shikinami series who prevents her bomb

[29:32] choker from killing her allowing Unit 13

[29:35] to fully reawaken a remodeled Eva Mark 9

[29:38] seizes control of the Wonder and along

[29:40] with the three nerve ships project wings

[29:42] of light caused by the mark series now

[29:44] present aboard each ship after Mark 9

[29:46] ret took Wonder from Wily's control this

[29:48] ritual uses the black moon to create two

[29:50] new spears to be used to activate

[29:52] instrumentality yendo moves into the

[29:54] Wonder core where he plans to seize

[29:56] evaero one which is the last necessary

[29:59] element to the instrumentality

[30:00] activation he's confronted by misato and

[30:02] ritzo who shoots a bullet straight

[30:04] through his skull before giving him a

[30:06] chance to talk surprisingly this has no

[30:08] effect as it's revealed that gendo used

[30:10] the nabuk gazar key on himself

[30:12] abandoning his humanity and gaining a

[30:13] form outside the logos of our realm the

[30:16] logic that our world abides by he

[30:18] reveals that the second impact was done

[30:19] to purify the oceans a third to purify

[30:22] the land and this fourth will purify the

[30:24] souls of humanity he rationalizes his

[30:26] efforts by reasoning that the only paths

[30:29] forward for Humanity were to be

[30:30] exterminated by the Angels or Rob the

[30:32] angels of their seats before God raising

[30:34] Humanity to a new existence with this he

[30:36] takes the Eva entering a realm where

[30:38] time and space lose all meaning with

[30:40] Humanity on the brink of Extinction yet

[30:42] again Shinji approaches misant and

[30:44] ritsko asking if they'll allow him to

[30:46] Pilot 01 and prevent his father from

[30:48] rewriting the world miso agrees but the

[30:51] rest of the Willie crew is less than on

[30:53] board toi's sister who was the first to

[30:54] show compassion to Shinji after he awoke

[30:57] has taken a turn pulling a gun on him

[30:59] and attempts to stop him from piloting

[31:01] afraid of the damage he could cause

[31:02] still scarred by the events 14 years ago

[31:05] where the old Shinji would have caved at

[31:07] the distrust and hate pointed towards

[31:08] him he now Stands Tall able to take the

[31:10] burden of his past sins and the

[31:12] responsibility to pursue a new future

[31:14] for himself and those around him knowing

[31:16] that this is what must be done he can't

[31:18] back down isato takes the bullet for

[31:21] Shinji her full faith that he will see

[31:23] this through MTI arrives to Fair Shinji

[31:25] through the portal his father created

[31:26] her even capable of navigating the realm

[31:29] after consuming the mark 9 that held a

[31:31] vessel of Adam this realm they will

[31:32] enter named minus space is a place

[31:35] lacking physical laws the barrier

[31:37] between individual Consciousness being

[31:39] very slim the human psyche is only able

[31:41] to proceed this realm through surreal

[31:42] spaces within the Mind somewhat

[31:44] resembling dreams Shinji bids farewell

[31:46] to misant and enters the portal Mari

[31:49] drops him off at unit 0 1's plug and

[31:51] asserts to him that she will find him at

[31:53] any cost no matter what may separate

[31:55] them before she leaves Shinji is met

[31:57] with Ray in the Pilot's seat who is

[31:59] saddened that she was unable to prevent

[32:01] him from having to Pilot again he thanks

[32:02] her for what she's done thus far and

[32:04] takes her place which a SN rate

[32:06] surpassing Infinity he regrows the evil

[32:08] limbs ripping a spear away from his

[32:10] father his spear taking the form of

[32:12] casassus Spear of Hope the opposer of

[32:14] his father's Spear of Lous the Spear of

[32:17] Despair the two duel through minus space

[32:19] taking them through surreal environments

[32:21] seems recognizable to any fan of the

[32:23] original series gendo's desperation to

[32:25] be reunited with his wife and shinji's

[32:28] determination to save his friends leave

[32:30] them evenly matched and the momentum

[32:32] doesn't shift either way the two agree

[32:33] that there is no solution they will

[32:35] reach through might and so a battle of

[32:37] wills assumes gendo's goal is to use the

[32:39] spears to slay the gods taking their

[32:41] place so that he can reunite with his

[32:43] wife by rebuilding the world in a new

[32:45] image one without barriers between

[32:47] individuals and one where no one can die

[32:49] this process which will exhaust the

[32:51] spears knowing this misu attempts a last

[32:53] miracle hoping to deliver a new spear

[32:55] created by the Wonder and it sibling

[32:57] ships to Shinji inside minus space so

[33:00] that he may alter the course of his

[33:02] father's rebuild but she'll need the

[33:03] help of Mari to do so gendo reveals to

[33:06] Shinji the imaginary Evangelion an

[33:08] Evangelion that exists only as Theory

[33:10] here in minus space only able to be

[33:12] perceived by humans who have the ability

[33:14] to believe in both fantasy and reality

[33:16] equally he givs the spears to the being

[33:18] allowing him to activate the additional

[33:20] impact which will allow him to rewrite

[33:22] the human cognition as well as reality

[33:24] itself he justifies his methods with the

[33:26] Classic this is the only way the only

[33:28] path to seeing yui once again

[33:30] unaccepting of the reality of his

[33:31] situation of death or possible

[33:34] alternatives to sacrificing the entire

[33:36] universe because of his denial all must

[33:38] suffer for his desired future a surreal

[33:40] Ray emerges from minus space as the

[33:43] world etches closer to the end motty

[33:46] finds futy on the Bay of one of the

[33:47] three nerve ships she comments on the

[33:49] density of the LCL on the captain's deck

[34:07] misato to hand off the final spear she

[34:10] tells her she can do as she pleases

[34:12] before dissolving into LCL fluid he dies

[34:14] the same way he lived impartial Guided

[34:16] by a sense of hope for reunion but

[34:18] welcoming to conflicting ideals and

[34:20] methods she merges with the remaining

[34:21] Eva Mark series and along with misato

[34:24] depart on their final mission aboard the

[34:26] Wonder the last hope of

[34:27] humanity Shinji questions what it is his

[34:30] father plans to do what it is he wishes

[34:33] for he talks of a world Shinji once

[34:35] refused A World void of at Fields where

[34:38] all are one a place without pain loss or

[34:41] suffering one that we know all too well

[34:43] he assumed Shinji would understand his

[34:45] suffering after witnessing Ray die

[34:47] before him confirmation that gendo

[34:49] intentionally made her life very short

[34:51] but it seems in some twist of fate that

[34:53] gendo's desired reality is Tainted he

[34:56] quickly real realizes that this isn't

[34:57] what he first expected everywhere he

[34:59] looks yui cannot be found it seems he's

[35:02] been looking in the wrong place this

[35:03] entire time shenji appears before his

[35:05] father who's taken back by his presence

[35:07] here they're within the epicenter of

[35:09] instrumentality yet his son has followed

[35:11] him here when he poses this Shinji

[35:13] states that he followed in desired to

[35:15] learn more about his father why he

[35:17] became such a cold man before he

[35:19] consciously stayed away from him to

[35:20] avoid finding out if his father held

[35:22] hatred for him but now he moves towards

[35:24] his father brave enough to find the

[35:26] truth which activ Ates gendo's at field

[35:28] despite having thought he tossed aside

[35:29] his Humanity his fear of Shinji

[35:31] activated the field well he may have

[35:33] thought that he had overcome being human

[35:35] The Roots still run deep it's in this

[35:36] moment for the first time in years he

[35:38] refers to Shinji by name instead of

[35:40] third pilot upon handing his father his

[35:42] Walkman the tool that the two of them

[35:44] have both used to Shield themselves from

[35:46] the outside world Shinji enters his

[35:48] father's memories learning the tendency

[35:50] they both shared to isolate themselves

[35:52] from others and fear of the sadness that

[35:54] comes from attachment he sees how his

[35:55] mother opened up his father Father's

[35:57] World only for her losss to leave him a

[35:58] broken shell hellbent on reunion

[36:00] sacrificing every ounce of his Humanity

[36:02] but here now at the Pinnacle of his plan

[36:05] he's denied once more the reunion he so

[36:07] desperately Desires in anguish at this

[36:09] realization he wonders if it's that he's

[36:11] too weak to reunite with yui but Shinji

[36:13] points out that it is his failure to

[36:15] accept that weakness that has held him

[36:17] back all this

[36:19] time we Santo and mi's Miracle is a

[36:22] success and Shinji has delivered a spear

[36:24] inside minus space at the cost of their

[36:26] lives as he clutches the spear a symbol

[36:29] of their sacrifice gendo comments on

[36:31] shinji's maturity his ability to heed

[36:33] the word of others and accept their

[36:34] death this causes gendo to reflect on

[36:36] his choices as a father his neglect and

[36:38] abandonment of Shinji that he brought

[36:40] upon as a punishment for himself a

[36:41] sacrifice for what he had become he

[36:43] thought that would be best for his child

[36:45] but he realizes now his mistake instead

[36:47] of abandoning his child at the station

[36:49] he turns embracing him and In This

[36:51] Moment he realizes that all along the

[36:53] one he was searching for was within

[36:55] Shinji yui had never left to her son's

[36:57] side this realization causes gendo to

[36:59] abandon his efforts leaving the train

[37:01] that acts as The Surreal interpretation

[37:03] of the core of

[37:05] instrumentality with the weight of the

[37:07] world's future still at the brink hodu

[37:09] fills the Gap gendo leaves he once more

[37:11] asks Shinji what it is he wishes for

[37:14] with a new perspective on life and

[37:15] existence as a whole shinji's answer is

[37:17] different this time with certainty he

[37:19] states he can handle the pain and

[37:20] heartbreak that comes with living he'll

[37:22] be fine his worry though is that of

[37:24] saving USA and the others so he calls

[37:26] out to her on the beach where it all

[37:29] ended the two are reunited once again

[37:31] but this time they've both matured

[37:33] Shinji thanks Asuka for saying she liked

[37:35] him and tells her that he felt the same

[37:37] way he reminds her that there are people

[37:39] out there that care for her like kensuke

[37:41] despite her childhood trauma that's

[37:42] convinced her she is and always will be

[37:44] alone what she always craved was in

[37:46] front of her this entire time she was

[37:48] just too blinded to see it and so after

[37:50] being wiped the curse of Evangelion and

[37:52] returned to human form she's sent to her

[37:54] happy

[37:55] ending

[37:58] kodu wonders if Shinji sad seeing her go

[38:00] he assures that he'll be okay she's off

[38:03] to a better life now is the Angel's turn

[38:05] for a happy

[38:06] ending here in this Gap known as minus

[38:09] space Shinji remembers the lives he's

[38:11] lived that time and time again their

[38:13] paths have crossed destined to meet in

[38:15] what kodu thought was a quest to make

[38:17] Shinji happy but as it turned out it was

[38:19] just a warped perception of his own

[38:21] happiness all kodu wanted was shinji's

[38:23] happiness to make him happy he assumed

[38:25] that the extent of his role was an

[38:27] endless cynical existence only ending at

[38:29] the vacuum decay of the universe

[38:31] basically the death of everything but in

[38:33] a symbolic gesture Shinji offers him a

[38:35] hand out a new existence free of this

[38:37] torment kodu enters a world where he

[38:40] along with Kaji and misato can build

[38:42] back the earth a new at place he finds

[38:44] new purpose and the three receive their

[38:46] happy

[38:48] ending with kodo's departure Shinji

[38:51] remains along with Ray the final one

[38:53] he's determined to Grant a fairy tale

[38:54] ending she is at first reluctant to

[38:56] leave him satisfied with where she is he

[38:58] mentions to her how one of her found a

[39:00] place she could call home in Tokyo 4

[39:03] thinking maybe she could find a similar

[39:04] happiness he mentions that his plan

[39:06] isn't to rewind or revert the world but

[39:08] erase Evangelion from it something Ry

[39:10] deems a Neon Genesis which means the

[39:12] creation of something new while Ray

[39:14] shows concern for Shinji being alone he

[39:17] assures her he will be okay telling her

[39:18] to enjoy her chosen happy ending besides

[39:21] he won't really be alone M assuring that

[39:23] satisfied after hearing this she thanks

[39:25] him for all he's done for her her and so

[39:27] Reay receives her happy

[39:29] ending Shinji attempts to use the spear

[39:32] to impale himself and complete the

[39:34] ritual that will wipe even gelion from

[39:36] existence but is stopped by his own

[39:37] mother she along with gendo in Unit 13

[39:40] impale themselves fulfilling shinji's

[39:42] wish of a world devoid of Evangelion he

[39:45] too receives his happy

[39:48] ending as he sits alone on a beach

[39:51] contemplating the state of things Mari

[39:53] enters a portal in the sky assuring that

[39:55] she would never break her promise

[39:56] promise she used her Adam vessel

[39:58] consuming Eva to navigate to shinji's

[40:00] chosen life says goodbye to the final

[40:02] Evangelion as the two start their new

[40:04] life together free from their pilot

[40:08] roles time has passed M and Shinji have

[40:12] grown up living in a world free of

[40:14] Evangelion a world that is similar to

[40:16] our own M removes shinji's choker a

[40:19] symbol to us that shinji's vicious cycle

[40:21] of suffering has ended this is his new

[40:24] beginning the two run off into a new

[40:26] life in a city very similar to

[40:30] [Music]

[40:35] anos despite me trying my absolute best

[40:38] to explain and really lay out the story

[40:40] of this franchise there are just some

[40:42] things that go unanswered are too

[40:43] open-ended or just don't add up the easy

[40:46] way to explain all this reality is

[40:48] subjective and what may seem like an

[40:49] unexplained plot hole or ambiguous

[40:51] thread is just inflated to be more

[41:16] exist and why does she end up with

[41:18] Shinji at surface level Mari is just a

[41:20] character that didn't exist before the

[41:21] rebuilds and her original purpose was

[41:23] just because Anna was asked to have

[41:24] another pilot and so did the role she

[41:27] plays in the story has a few more

[41:29] complex elements than her creation MTI

[41:31] is either a clone of one of gendo's

[41:33] Partners at seal or is just an extremely

[41:35] close lookalike to this girl that has

[41:36] shown in one of gendo's flashbacks and

[41:38] if you know anything about even gelan

[41:40] you would deduce that this is no

[41:41] coincidence and she is in fact a clone

[41:43] although they never really go into

[41:45] detail about this and just drop subtle

[41:47] hints that are a little too ambiguous to

[41:49] know for sure but fi's casual Behavior

[41:51] with her on the dock cannot be ignored

[41:53] so I will to the day I die argue that

[41:55] she is in act a clone of their partner

[41:57] now the reason she ends up with Shinji

[41:59] is another beast in itself for one of

[42:01] all the pilots she is the best fit for

[42:03] Shinji if you went with Ry he'd just be

[42:05] running back into comfortability into

[42:07] his mother's arms he went with Asuka the

[42:09] two have such a Negative history

[42:11] throughout their past lives that it's

[42:13] best of the two part ways what they have

[42:15] is more of a passionate affection

[42:17] towards each other and not true love so

[42:19] the most loving thing they could do for

[42:20] each other is parting ways Mari on the

[42:22] other hand represents a fresh start for

[42:24] Shinji a chance at true happiness and

[42:26] for Mari Shinji is an echo of her past a

[42:29] lost pup who just needed some guidance

[42:30] through his mental hardships who she

[42:32] eventually grew infatuated with of all

[42:34] the pilots Mari is the least mentally

[42:36] distressed she currently faces No

[42:38] prominent mental health issues and

[42:40] really pushes Asuka and Shinji towards

[42:42] reconciliation and assist them in facing

[42:44] their struggles so really we have Mari

[42:46] to thank for that fairy tale happy

[42:48] ending if she wasn't there Shinji and

[42:50] Asuka would have never reconciled now

[42:52] besides Marty there are an infinite

[42:54] amount of elements to pick apart and

[42:55] analyze and this video is already well

[42:57] over 30 minutes there is one last major

[42:59] point I want to touch though which is

[43:01] why even gelling is one continuous

[43:03] timeline and these two separate tellings

[43:05] are forever interconnected into a linear

[43:07] story rebuild is a goodbye to even

[43:09] gelion an acceptance of that at some

[43:11] point all things must come to an end it

[43:13] tells a story that builds off of the

[43:15] original giving the characters a true

[43:17] farewell ano made this a proper sendoff

[43:20] when creating end of Eva it may have

[43:22] been that he felt we will always be

[43:24] plagued by our own faults stuck in a

[43:26] vicious cycle unable to let go to rise

[43:28] above Shinji when choking Asuka was a

[43:31] symbol of his inability to shake his

[43:33] demons unable to overcome but through

[43:35] rebuild he was able to confront them and

[43:37] help others as well he realized that

[43:39] even the most despicable people are a

[43:41] prisoner of themselves to their faults

[43:43] and sometimes all they may need is to be

[43:46] shown another way to enact change ano

[43:48] felt that we are able to start again to

[43:50] choose a fresh beginning despite our

[43:52] past we carry the burden of our sins but

[43:55] we can choose the way weight of the load

[43:56] we can rise above reflecting on our

[43:58] mistakes and correcting our futures we

[44:01] all deserve a chance at a good life at a

[44:03] good existence and Shinji chose to rise

[44:05] above his cycle of suffering this movie

[44:07] series completes the story of Shinji and

[44:09] the rest of the cast bringing them to

[44:11] The Brighter Futures they deserved in

[44:13] offering others atonement for their

[44:14] actions while it may have not been

[44:16] perfect and not without flaws this is

[44:18] the true End of Evangelion the end of a

[44:20] cultural icon and a teacher one that

[44:22] will forever be remembered bye-bye

[44:25] eveling
