45sUrgency and seasonal relevance drive viewers to learn about the biggest selling window of the year.
▶ Play Clip"Delivers on the promise of fall trends with specific, actionable ideas, though some fluff and self-promotion."
The video discusses upcoming fall trends for Etsy sellers, emphasizing the start of Q4 as the best time for online sales. The creator, Mac, shares specific design trends like ghosts, Halloween pets, coquette style, vintage boho, and color/texture trends, along with product recommendations and tools for creating designs.
October 1st marks the start of Q4, which is the best time of the year to be selling online due to upcoming holidays.
Ghosts dressed as ghosts or doing activities (like sitting by a campfire) are trending. Instead of copying exact designs, take inspiration and combine with other trends, e.g., ghosts toasting drinks, holding coffee, or reading books.
Combining two trending concepts (e.g., silly goose trend with ghost design) creates new, exciting products that stand out.
Pets dressed in Halloween costumes (like dogs and cats) are popular. Consider unique products like pet bandanas, towels, blankets, and tote bags.
The coquette trend continues but with fall colors and textures. Apply bows to football designs, fall drinks, and activities. Avoid using team names or player names due to legal issues.
Vintage boho style is returning with muted fall colors and wildflower graphics. Avoid overdone boho rainbows; focus on fresh interpretations.
Pantone color 'mocha mousse' and cherry red are trending. Gingham and plaid patterns sell well, especially when combined with trendy elements like pumpkins or bows.
Use tools like KD (for AI design), Creative Fabrica (for patterns), and Printify's pattern creation feature to create seamless patterns.
Blankets, candles, mugs, sweatshirts, hoodies, knit beanies, hats, socks, tote bags, and denim items (especially embroidered denim hats) are expected to sell well.
Check Pinterest, Etsy homepage, and TikTok for inspiration and to see what's trending. Use these platforms to guide design creation.
The video provides actionable fall trend insights for Etsy sellers, emphasizing the importance of combining trends, using unique products, and staying updated with research tools to create standout designs.

08:57[00:02] very quickly and with that comes a lot of different sales on our e-commerce stores because what's going to happen is as soon as October 1st hits, we are officially in Q4, which is the best time of the year to be selling online. We
[00:17] have a lot of holidays coming up. And in today's video, I'm going to talk to you about fall trends that you should be implementing now on your online stores if you have not already. And if you're new here, hi, I'm Mac. I post videos
[00:30] income, and different ways to make money online. All things to do with Etsy. So, have you as a part of our community here on YouTube. And just a quick announcement, I am so excited because I will be returning this year to Printify
[00:44] Amplified event, which is a free online event that you can watch myself and other print on demand sellers. And we're going to be talking about all of the most important things that you need to know with print on demand. And it is
[00:58] know with print on demand. And it is just a whole event full of so much information, so much knowledge and I will be hosting and speaking and would love for you to join. So if you want to grab your free ticket, I will have a
[01:10] link in the description for you to grab that. It's free. It's online and incredible and I'll be there. So it's my third year. Very excited. And again, that's in the description. All right. So our very first trend with our fall theme
[01:23] our very first trend with our fall theme is going to be ghosts. Now, in specific is going to be ghosts. Now, in specific things dressed as ghosts or ghosts doing activities. So, I'm seeing a lot of this and there are a lot of these that were
[01:36] being used last year. Um, in particular, there are the two ghosts sitting by the campfire, which is just completely taking off on Etsy. And honestly, I wouldn't even encourage you to create that design. I would encourage you to
[01:51] take inspiration from that. So for an example, whether you want to do two ghosts toasting a drink or two ghosts holding coffee, two ghosts reading a book, things like this I think are going to be really taking off. And also things
[02:05] to be really taking off. And also things dressed as ghost as I was saying. So in example here, um I actually created this design where I made it, you know, use the silly goose trend that has been going on for like ever now. I did the
[02:19] silly goose trend plus this ghost design wearing the sheet to be ghosts, right? So, it's just like adding something new to the market that is tapping into two different things, but then also both are trending. It's one of my secrets. I love
[02:32] to do designs like that where I combine trends. I'll leave a helpful video below. But I definitely think and know that this design style is going to be absolutely killing it. And you don't necessarily have to do it in this like
[02:44] cutesy type of vibe. can absolutely implement it in vintage styles, but implement it in vintage styles, but overall the idea of ghosts doing daily activities seems to be taking off. I think a space that I haven't seen this
[02:57] think a space that I haven't seen this done a lot with yet um is ghosts like profession stuff. So think like ghosts with um different types of teachers or different types of jobs like nursing, doctors, and then maybe incorporate this
[03:11] there especially with embroidery. I'm seeing that embroidery absolutely killing it on Etsy. So definitely something to take note of. Leading off of that one, I definitely want to mention Halloween with pets. So with
[03:25] animals and Halloween, I think that this is such a great way to combine trends as well. Kind of as I mentioned with the goose, you know, wearing the sheet to look like a ghost. I've seen this with a lot of different animals as well. I've
[03:39] seen it on dogs. I've seen it on cats. But really think about how you could do this. And then even like I did with the trend of them roasting the marshmallows. do that with, you know, other animals doing different things and using these
[03:53] sayings that are popular within the pet niche? Um but yeah, pet Halloween stuff I think is super cute. And don't just think like um sweatshirts and t-shirts. Think tote bags. Think things that people would use for their pets. So, pet
[04:07] bandanas, towels, blankets, things that you could do cute ghost pet patterns on. I definitely think that's a big big seller. And I think with utilizing other products that are more unique can really help you stand out within this fall
[04:22] category. Next is going to be of course the coette trend, but like this is just never seeming to go out of style, but think less pink of more um fall colored
[04:34] types of textures for the bows that you're going to be adding to things. I anytime soon, but I do think we're going to see it changing. So, one way that I think that I would implement this right now would be yes, you can add it to the
[04:48] ghost stuff I was talking about, but with football, I'm noticing that it is football season right now, so you don't need to make a ton of football designs, but it does go on for a while. But definitely, you can implement coette
[05:00] into football. So, think um you know, women that are going to be going to football games or supporting their partners with football or maybe they just love football. whatever it is. There's a lot of um things that can be
[05:12] done there for parties and matching shirts if you want to do a his and hers or a family t-shirt for football. Just keep in mind that we do not ever use team names or specific players names because this is not something we have
[05:28] the legal rights to do and you can get in trouble by the NFL teams um or people themselves. You can use colors. Um, but just be very careful. And if you're questioning it, is this allowed on Etsy? It's probably not, but you can always do
[05:42] footballs with different bows. Um, I've seen a lot of the postage type of like stamp design that seems to be trending right now. That could be really cute right now. That could be really cute with football um or just fall drinks or
[05:54] fall leaves and things in like those patterns. Um, so incorporating the coat into those and different like fall activities. So, if you want to add a bow to a pumpkin spice latte or a fall latte, it can definitely go a long way.
[06:08] And bow patterns as well. Something else that's coming back as well, moving on, that's coming back as well, moving on, is the vintage boho feel. And I've seen a lot of t-shirts with this like boho designs. And like OG Etsy sellers will
[06:24] know boho has been around like for a long time, but that was like the main back when Etsy was taking off. It's like people loved the boho stuff, like the boho rainbows um and like the classic designs. So, it's kind of coming back,
[06:39] not fully, but we're seeing a lot of like muted pastel or muted fall colors. And what I mean by muted is they're just not super vibrant. Think of like the fall gets darker early. it's like crispy, cooler, um, cooler tones and
[06:54] stuff like that. So, really, you know, add that into your designs and keep in aesthetics. So, we have a lot of like wild flowers um, and like vintagey types
[07:06] so much of the boho rainbows, though. I would not try to bring that back. I know think they're a little bit overdone. I would focus more on the wildflower and like boho graphics and incorporate fall with them. I also want you to consider
[07:22] with fall the different types of colors and textures. So, let's talk a little bit about things that are trending in specific this year. So, the panone color that um is for I believe it's for the year. It was called like mocha mousse or
[07:35] something like that. I'll put it on the screen. Um this we're seeing a lot of along with cherry color as well. The cherry style has not gone out. So think like reds, browns, um even like that sand colored sweatshirt or um even with
[07:49] comfort colors. We have a lot of different like vintage muted colors that great into the fall um and then get into like the Christmas season and all that which we will have a separate video on. And then going into textures and
[08:02] patterns for fall, we are going to want to be looking at gingham and plaid. They always sell well, but how can we combine them with the more trendy things and adding even a touch to a more classic pattern? Um, you know, like a gingham,
[08:15] you could add pumpkins or something Halloween feel, candy corn, or you could do fall leaves or even bows. Pumpkin with a bow on it. Things like that I think are going to be really great just to add different new and interesting
[08:30] things. I always say to look at what's on the market, look what's selling, what is bestselling. Don't remake that design because it's not new, it's not exciting, recreate it, how can you make that better and more interesting so that
[08:44] somebody's scrolling and has seen the same, you know, three best-selling designs, what is something that can make them say, "Ooh, this one's cooler. This one's better." And really try to get that feel when you're making a design. I
[08:57] use KD to design. I'll leave that linked below. Also, a great asset you can use is Creative Fabrica for different patterns to add to. And there is that create pattern button on Printify that will make a pattern out of a square that
[09:11] you create. And I've used KD before to make my own seamless patterns using their AI. Lots of different fun things you can do there. Now, products that I would say are going to be amping up for the fall season are definitely going to
[09:24] be things that people reach for. So, think blankets, candles, mugs. Printify has a lot of different variants of all of these. Um, and so you can get diverse and you can add a bunch of different ones to your store. And then also think
[09:37] sweatshirts, hoodies, the knit beanies, hats, and socks. And then I'm not sure if people still trick or treat, but I do know um from past experience that people do buy tote bags, whether it's for farmers market or just other fall
[09:51] activities. So, if you do want to take some time to create a tote bag, it could definitely be something that could sell for you. And also, I do want to mention denim, too, before I end this video because Printify has a lot of really
[10:04] great denim and denim that can be embroidered on. So, the sweatshirts and the denim hats are going to be huge this year in my opinion. So, definitely something that I would add to my store, especially with fall designs. So, like,
[10:17] think these denim hats with embroidered fall designs. Absolutely beautiful. definitely something that I would jump into. I hope this video was helpful and got you some inspiration into what be selling on Etsy this fall. Huge reminder
[10:32] to always check Pinterest, to always look at the Etsy homepage because it and what they're going to be pushing. And I love Pinterest just for ideas and inspiration. Lately as well, I've been seeing a lot of things on Tik Tok that
[10:47] have been helpful in my research just for what's, you know, people are looking for in general. So, just utilize all of that and see what you can create. Thank you so so much for watching. Of course, everything I talked about will be linked
[10:59] in the description. And I hope to see you in the next video.
