AI Summary

This video provides a comprehensive guide to gearing up alt characters in World of Warcraft patch 12.0.7. The creator outlines a step-by-step strategy to achieve full mythic gear within a week, focusing on efficient use of nebulous void cores, the Keystone Loot add-on, and strategic dungeon selection.

[00:04]
Timeframe for Gearing Alts

With moderate playtime (about 2 hours a day), a new character can reach full mythic gear within a week, assuming some luck and the ability to farm mythic+ dungeons.

[00:31]
Preparing Your Character

Ensure your character is fully leveled and has a decent set of gear. Activities like Bountiful Delves, Void Rituals, and Nightmare Praise can provide champion gear that can be catalyzed into tier sets.

[01:14]
Choosing a Role and Build

If possible, consider tanking or healing to reduce queue times. Otherwise, optimize your DPS spec using resources like archon.gg to find popular builds, stat priorities, and ideal trinkets.

[02:36]
Unlocking Void Core System

Visit Void Storm and talk to Decimus to unlock the Void Core system. Complete the quest chain, which involves killing raid or dungeon bosses, to gain access to nebulous void cores.

[03:28]
Using Nebulous Void Cores

Buy nebulous void cores from Decimus using gold, voidlight maw, or veteran crests. These cores guarantee mythic track items when used on dungeon loot.

[03:41]
Keystone Loot Add-on

Install the Keystone Loot add-on to easily identify which dungeon has the best loot table for your spec, minimizing wasted runs.

[04:17]
Dungeon Selection Strategy

Pick a dungeon with the most desirable items and fewest bad trinkets. Spam that dungeon on +10 using nebulous cores to get back-to-back mythic track items.

[05:16]
Recommended Dungeons

Seat of the Triumvirate has the largest loot table but poor trinkets. Pit of Saron is great for crit/haste specs, Nexus Point Zeenus for haste/mastery casters, Algeth'ar Academy for mastery specs, and Windrunner's Spire for the best trinkets.

[07:24]
Crest Management

Save crests until you know exactly how to upgrade gear. Use the overlap between hero and myth tracks to upgrade for free, saving up to 140 myth crests (or 280 without the achievement).

[10:11]
Ascended Void Cores

Use ascended void cores to boost weapons and trinkets by 9 item levels. You get one per dungeon, needing 15-20 total for full upgrades.

[11:33]
Raid Bosses for Gear

For additional gear, consider killing raid bosses like 1207 (drops 298 mythic gear), Chimeras (best trinket Gaze of the Onseer), and others like Dragons, Crown of the Cosmos, and Belor'relos.

By following this strategy, you can efficiently gear an alt to mythic level within a week, even with limited playtime. The key is to focus on nebulous cores, strategic dungeon selection, and smart crest management.

11:33

[00:04] almost full set of myth gear in about 4 hours each. Assuming you might not have as much time and resources to play wow as I do, content creator stuff, then we can safely say that within a week you can get a brand new leveled character up

[00:19] to full myth gear eye level based on your personal luck and how many myth your personal luck and how many myth grace you can actually farm.

[00:31] started? First of all, you need your character fully leveled up. Obviously, if it's in full greens or blues, it might be a tad difficult. If you just started playing or you have no war-bound gear to help your tune out, there are

[00:45] plenty of activities that can get you a decent set of epics to help you get started. Bountiful delves, void rituals, nightmare praise, and more can give you easy access to champion gear that can easily be catalyzed into your tier set

[01:00] and so on. We already have a video for that, which you can check on our channel, or you can simply hop on our stream and I will help you get your new baby ready for that mythic journey ASAP. The next thing you need is a strategy to

[01:14] do mythic plus. This is entirely subjective and based on your own condition. If you have friends or guildies that can help out, this will be easier, of course, and way faster. But, I will assume you don't, so here's what

[01:26] I recommend you get sorted. First of all, if your class has the possibility of tanking or healing, consider that very seriously. These will drastically reduce your queue times for dungeons and raids and ensure you just get done

[01:40] faster. In case you don't have that option to tank or heal or simply refuse to do it, then optimize your DPS spec as best as you can. An easy way to start is to go to archon.gg, select World of Warcraft from their

[01:54] supported games, choose your class and spec, and the content that you will be doing, and then look at the most popular build that you have. You can also see the ideal stat priority you want to look for in your gear, which is also

[02:07] important information. For your character, you will need a talent build for Mythic Plus, one for rating, your ideal two best secondary doesn't really matter, just know what they are. Next, you'll also need to know

[02:23] ideally what your two best trinkets are for whatever content that you want to pursue. On arcan.gg, you can select the trinket section at the top once you have your spec page, and it will give you a list of trinkets on the off chance that

[02:36] your RNG is not ideal for Mythic Plus or raid, depending on which page you selected. Once you know all of this information, you need two more things. First, go to Void Storm and talk to Decimus. Over the course of the season,

[02:49] he gave you a quest chain to unlock the Void Core system, which you should have done by now if this is your alt or you have played at least in the season so far. If you haven't unlocked it yet because you ignored it or simply started

[03:02] playing while very late, the quest chain is simple. It just sends you to kill some raid bosses or dungeon bosses. Regular raid bosses or low-level Mythic dungeons should be super easy, maybe even lower difficulty, whatever is

[03:15] fastest for you to do. Do that real quick. Once you have it ready, Decimus can finally sell you nebulous void cores for either gold, voidlight maw, or veteran crest. Buy with whatever currency you want, but get them all.

[03:28] These are what you will guarantee to get your Mythic gear with. The second thing you need is an add-on called Keystone Loot. This is the best thing since sliced bread as far as WoW gearing is concerned. Theoretically, you don't

[03:41] really need it if you are add-on opposed, but it does make it way easier and faster to figure out which dungeon is going to be your victim. So, once again, have a character with four set bonus ready. Can be at 230 item level or

[03:56] higher depending on how good you can play it. Have a dungeon and a raid built to smash the meters with. Know what your ideal gear is, whether it's stats or individual items. Have your nebulous cores and your keystone loot add-on.

[04:17] up your keystone loot add-on and I will use one of my alts as an example. Your goal is to pick one dungeon that has the most amount of items in its loot table that will be good myth items for you. And also the fewest items that are

[04:32] essentially bad ones since all dungeons have some weird ass trinkets that are dead weight. You will spam that dungeon on a plus 10 using nebulous cores each time. Doing this will give you back-to-back mythic track items without

[04:46] smallest risk of getting items that you don't need. I recommend you pick your best dungeon for overall gear amount and not the dungeon that has your best trinket or best weapon but also a lot of other items that you don't want. It's a

[05:01] numbers game. You want to convert as many nebulous cores into as much item level as possible. Item level will always beat best stats. If you can get better. If you are having a hard time choosing,

[05:16] here are a few dungeons to look out for. Seat of the triumvirate has absolutely the biggest overall loot table where you can get every item catalyzable into your tier set just from this one dungeon. It unfortunately has some of the worst

[05:31] trinkets in the game so you will end up looting a bunch of bad items as well. Still, better than nothing of course. For crit haste loving specs, pit of saron has the best loot with your best necklace and your ring already there

[05:45] with a bunch of other pieces that can roll crit haste depending on your armor type or at least be catalyzable into tier set items. For haste mastery casters, it will be Nexus Point Zeenus. There you have your likely best staff

[05:57] and a ring. The ring is part of a set, which is not that great considering the of haste, but until you can replace it with another strong haste mastery ring, it's going to be better than most of your other options.

[06:11] Alternatively, Algeth'ar Academy is also a good dungeon for mastery loving specs with puzzle box being a known trinket powerhouse. Platinum Starband being a good ring as well. For the actual best trinket farm, you will likely want

[06:26] Windrunner's Spire. Whether the feather and the heart of the wind are your best trinkets or not, the chances of these trinkets being bad are very small since they're likely the best non-raid trinkets for 90% of specs in the game

[06:39] and both drop in the same dungeon. Realistically, once you have everything that you need from a dungeon, you will want to replace the less desirable items or fill in missing slots from a second dungeon, which is all well and good, but

[06:52] you would be doing that with a decked out character at around 270 item level, absolutely ready to blast even higher keys than a plus 10. Of course, one playing a class that does not tank or heal or an undesired class in terms of

[07:09] meta specs that I'm not going to force you to not play, that's entirely up to you, the higher chances you have on your own key. Of course, if you do that, you possible, which is a risk you're going to have to take, but at least it will

[07:24] ensure you have a lot of groups to play [music] in cuz you will still need a bunch of dungeons to farm to get crests to upgrade your gear. One thing you want to do is to save up all of those crests until you know exactly how to upgrade

[07:37] your gear to save as many as possible and upgrade as much as possible in as little time as possible. Luckily, your boys got your back.

[07:55] crests as possible is to already have a main character with the achievement myth of the dawn. That will reduce myth crest upgrades by 50%. If you don't, then it some upgrading tips to save up on myth crest [music] spending. If you don't

[08:11] mind farming infinite amount of tens with a lot of time on your hands, then this might not be that important to you. But, if you are having a hard time But, if you are having a hard time finding groups as it is, then maybe stay

[08:23] a while and listen. Upgrade tracks, particularly hero and myth, overlap. The last two hero tracks, five out of six and six out of six, coincide with myth one out of six and two out of six. Because the game makes upgrading an item

[08:36] cost zero crests if you already had that item level achieved in that slot before from a different item, you want to hold off on spending your mythic crests until you enable the free upgrade. You do this by looting, let's say a pair of myth one

[08:50] out of six gloves in a slot you already have a hero pair of gloves in. You first equip your myth pair of gloves so they can become soul bound. Because the myth gloves are normally higher item level than your un-upgraded hero gloves, then

[09:02] your hero gloves will take no crests to upgrade to the level of your myth gloves. You then upgrade those pair of gloves to five out of six for free and six out of six by spending your hero crests, even if you are planning to sell

[09:16] Only the last level of the upgrade will an item level that you have not yet achieved yet on a pair of gloves. Then you upgrade your myth gloves to two out of six for free, saving you 10 crests.

[09:31] This doesn't sound like much, but your character still needs about 14 total items. If you manage to save 10 crests for each of them, that's 140 myth crests you don't need to farm, or rather about nine dungeons you don't need to run just

[09:44] for crests. And that's if you do have Myth of the Dawn achievement. If you don't have the achievement, you end up saving double the amount of crests and about 20 dungeons that you still don't need to

[09:57] run anymore. You can use this trick to convert champion gear into hero gear as well, considering you will be looting a lot of hero gear normally from just the end of the dungeon chest. You'll get your ideal items way before you have

[10:11] don't rush it. Once you have enough crests or item level where you feel comfortable, you can start aiming for your best raid trinkets. Lastly, don't forget you have the ascended void cores. These will boost your six out of six

[10:25] hero or six out of six mythic weapons and trinkets by nine more item levels. dungeons, you can use them right away since you get enough of them each dungeon, one per dungeon, and you need five for an upgrade. Theoretically, you

[10:40] need 15 or 20 in total depending if you use a two-handed weapon or if you're using two items in your weapon slots. 20 dungeon runs for all of the cores is essentially two to three fully looted dungeons, meaning there is no way you

[10:53] would be missing more than one or two items at this point. One dungeon lasts for about 30 minutes, add five more for your queue time, 10 if you are a low item level player playing a spec, and you're looking at the

[11:06] very most 13 hours of dungeon spam. Assuming you play about two hours a day, which is very generous, you should be done in a week. Obviously, this is still a bit of a time sync, but you are essentially getting the best possible

[11:19] essentially getting the best possible seasonal gear in about a week in an MMO get this gear under normal circumstances.

[11:33] want to really deck yourself out, you will want to at least run some raid bosses. Ideally, you want them to be on the mythic difficulty, but that requires a guild or some very good pugs. All up to your capabilities. Once 1207

[11:47] launches, Wrath of the Mail will drop five items for you at 298 fixed item level myth gear, or if you cannot do mythic, 285 heroic gear, which is basically the regular mythic item level. Definitely worth considering. Next, best

[12:01] boss to look at is Chimeras. Chimeras drops arguably the best trinket of the season, Gaze of the Onseer, that will likely carry you through the first weeks of season 2. Even if you cannot get this on mythic, the 285 Ascendant heroic one

[12:16] >> really good still. A note to mention, using nebulous cores on raid bosses is pricier. You spend two cores per one reroll here, so keep that in mind. After Chimeras, if you can raid mythic, obviously go to whatever boss gives you

[12:30] a best item. But, if you cannot raid mythic, the only other ones that are worth killing are likely dragons for the final stair, >> also Ascendant, Crown of the Cosmos for Ribbon, if that's good for you, and

[12:43] Belor'relos for the Plume. And boom, there you have it. Rest is just getting the crest that you need, which you can even farm solo with 1207 giving out free myth crests in rituals. If there is something you think that we missed, pop

[12:57] it in the comments down below. We will pin it so it can help more people. Meanwhile, if you are not convinced you should play 1207, then check our quick summary on it right here.
