AI Summary
This video is a concise raid guide for The Lost Explorers encounter in the Venomous Abyss, covering both Normal and Heroic difficulties. Hazel explains the key mechanics for each of the three tortollan bosses, the special fish mechanic to prevent the Ascension wipe, and the additional challenges on Heroic mode.
Chapters
The fight involves three tortollan bosses: Iku, Nama, and Gebbo. Iku and Nama are tanked, while Gebbo moves freely. A separate NPC, Mor'zahi, attempts to Ascend and wipe the raid; players must prevent this using a fish mechanic.
Iku uses Blink Nova, which deals raid damage with distance dropoff, so targeted players should move away from the group. He also casts Icebound Flames, which must be interrupted; if it goes off, healers can dispel the DoT.
Nama fires shells that players must dodge by looking at their aim and stepping to the side.
Gebbo throws Junk that spawns crates. Players must step on crates to open them, which stacks a bleed, so they should not take more than they can handle. Unbroken boxes burst for raid damage. One crate contains a Disgusting Fish, which a player must pick up and throw at a boss using their extra action button.
Each boss can be fished once, in any order. When Gebbo is fished, he throws a bomb and mushrooms; players must use a mushroom to bounce over the blast wave. When Iku is fished, he casts Frost and Fire arrows, creating puddles and DoTs that can be cleared by stepping into the opposite element. When Nama is fished, he leaps three times, requiring group soaks to split damage.
On Heroic, the tortollans must be 30 yards apart to take damage. The bomb from Gebbo's fish leaves a large fire puddle afterward, making dodging shells more challenging.
The key to success is coordinating the fish mechanic to prevent the wipe, managing each boss's unique abilities, and on Heroic, maintaining spacing and dealing with the additional fire puddle. The bosses enrage when any one dies, so they must be killed together.

[00:00] Hi! I’m Hazel, and this is a guide to The Lost Explorers fight in The We have Three tortollans and we gotta bring them down roughly together. Iku and Nama are tanked,
[00:13] while Gebbo is just gonna bop around doing his own thing. Tanks can trade Iku and Nama whenever they feel like they’re in danger. There’s also a spooky guy here who we do not fight directly, but he’s trying to Ascend and wipe us all.
[00:27] We’ll stop him from doing that by making good use of stinky fish. More on that soon. Iku is picking players for Blink Nova. He’ll blink to his victim, doing raid damage with a distance dropoff. Get away from the group if that’s on you.
[00:41] Iku also casts Icebound Flames- you want to interrupt it, and if a cast does somehow get off healers can dispel the DoT. Nama fires out shells to dodge with Shell Spin. Look at where they’re aimed and step to the side.
[00:56] And them Gebbo likes to throw Junk, spawning crates around the room. We need to step on them to open them up and look for the disgusting fish. Stepping on a box stacks a bleed, so don’t take more than you can handle. Any
[01:09] boxes not broken will burst for raid damage eventually, so clean them up. One of those boxes, when opened, will spawn a Disgusting Fish. Someone needs to pick that up and use their extra action button to throw it at one of the
[01:22] bosses to activate their ult mechanic as well prevent mr. Mor’zahi from ascending and wiping us all. You can fish each boss once, and the order is personal preference. When Gebbo is fished, he throws out a bomb and a batch of mushrooms. We need to use the mushroom to
[01:39] bounce over the blast wave that’ll come from the bomb. Once someone uses a bouncy shroom, it has a short window before it explodes so group up ahead of the blast wave, and then everyone bounce over the wave together. Do not touch the mushroom early.
[01:53] When Iku is fished, he casts Frost and Fire arrows at players. Victims of those will drop a frost or fire puddle and then get a DoT. You can clear a puddle and your Dot by stepping into the opposite element puddle, so pair off with the other element
[02:09] and walk into each other’s puddles after they land to clear it all up. When Nama is fished, he’s going to do leap three times pretty quickly, with group soaks each leap. Get a nice group of players into each soak to split the damage safely.
[02:23] On Normal, that’s it. They do enrage when any of them dies so again, kill them together. On Heroic, it gets trickier for two reasons. First, on Heroic the tortollans must be 30 yards away from each other in order to take
[02:37] damage. Iku likes to blink and gebbo likes to wander, so tanks can have fun with that. The Bomb that we bounce over with the mushrooms gets a big fire puddle afterwards on Heroic, in time but it sure makes dodging the spinning shells fun for a while.
