[00:00] Hello there, and welcome back to another

[00:01] video. Today, we're going to talk about

[00:03] the Sunstrider Omnium or the Omnium

[00:06] Folio, which is a brand new borrowed

[00:09] power system in patch 12.0.7. In this

[00:12] video, we're going to go through

[00:13] everything that you need to know about

[00:14] this brand new system that is coming in

[00:16] patch 12.0.7 of Midnight. But, before we

[00:19] jump into that, I do want to let you

[00:20] know that I am streaming on

[00:21] twitch.tv/mistergm.

[00:23] If you want to see me stream World of

[00:24] Warcraft Midnight, Midnight PTR, any

[00:26] sort of wow, come over on

[00:27] twitch.tv/mistergm.

[00:30] Right, so yes, the Omnium Folio. This is

[00:33] a new borrowed power system coming in

[00:35] patch 12.0.7. As of the recording of

[00:37] this, we do not have an official release

[00:38] date for 12.0.7, but it is heavily

[00:41] rumored to be June 16th or 17th,

[00:43] depending on your region. Now, borrowed

[00:45] power has always been kind of a part of

[00:47] these point seven patches for a while

[00:49] now. We had the Onyx Annulet, Cersei's

[00:51] Circlet, the Titan Disc Belt, but this

[00:54] one is slightly different as this is not

[00:56] an item, but a passive buff with a

[01:00] talent tree. So, this will be available

[01:02] on day one of the patch, and to unlock

[01:05] it, it is just unlocked through a fairly

[01:06] short quest line that starts in

[01:08] Silvermoon. This quest line will take

[01:09] you over to the Magisters' Terrace with

[01:11] Magister Umbric and Grand Magister

[01:13] Romath. Once the Omnium Folio has been

[01:16] unlocked, you do access it from a new

[01:18] icon on your mini map where the previous

[01:20] expansion icons were. And the great news

[01:22] here is once it is unlocked, it is

[01:23] unlocked on all of your level 90

[01:25] characters automatically. You don't need

[01:27] to speak to any NPCs or anything like

[01:29] that. You simply log in and it will be

[01:31] there. Now, as I mentioned, this does

[01:33] have a talent tree, and this talent tree

[01:35] has five nodes which are unlocked

[01:37] weekly. So, it will take five weeks to

[01:39] unlock the whole thing. Now, the good

[01:41] news is that the way that it's upgraded

[01:43] can be done completely solo and does not

[01:45] take much effort. It is simply just a

[01:47] weekly quest to get something from a

[01:48] specific activity. So, week one will be

[01:51] free. In week two, you have to do one

[01:53] ritual site. In week three, you have to

[01:56] do five void assaults. In week four, you

[01:58] can either do a dungeon, delve, or kill

[02:00] a raid finder boss. And in week five,

[02:03] you have to head into the new mini zone,

[02:05] complete three world quests, and defeat

[02:07] the world boss. These upgrades are also

[02:09] completely account-wide. So, once it's

[02:11] done on your main, your alts will have

[02:13] instant access to the full talent tree.

[02:15] So, let's talk about the talent tree

[02:17] next and what kind of powers you're

[02:18] going to be getting from this. So, there

[02:19] are five nodes in total, with some of

[02:22] them just being one option and others

[02:23] being choice nodes with up to four

[02:25] choices. Now, as of the recording of

[02:27] this, these abilities do not scale with

[02:30] your item level. So, I'll say numbers,

[02:32] but of course, they are absolutely

[02:34] subject to change. Now, the basic way

[02:35] that this works is that you choose your

[02:37] main power at the top and then the

[02:38] powers below it will change and upgrade

[02:41] the first power. So, in week one, you

[02:43] will have access to your main power, and

[02:45] this is called the core rune. You have

[02:47] two choices here. You have the Rune of

[02:49] Void Touch Orbs. It says, "Every 10

[02:51] seconds, you attract a void orb to you

[02:52] with a maximum of five." Your attack

[02:54] sends these orbs at your enemy, dealing

[02:56] 2,745

[02:58] cosmic damage for each. Your healing

[03:00] spells send the orbs at the lowest

[03:01] health ally, restoring 4,116

[03:05] health for each orb. Or the other option

[03:08] is the Rune of Unleash Fire. It says,

[03:10] "Your spells and abilities have a chance

[03:11] to cool down a pillar of fire, dealing

[03:13] 2,745

[03:15] fire damage to an enemy, or cauterizing

[03:17] the wounds of a nearby ally, restoring

[03:19] 4,116

[03:21] health." So, in week two, we have a

[03:23] choice node. This is a choice of three.

[03:25] You have the Rune of Self-Mending. It

[03:26] says, "When below 75% health, your core

[03:29] rune also heals you for 4,116

[03:32] health." You also have the Rune of

[03:34] Void-Tainted Shell. It says, "When

[03:35] struck for more than 10% of your maximum

[03:37] health, you gain an absorb shield that

[03:39] will absorb 18,000 damage, but 50% of

[03:42] the absorbed amount will linger, dealing

[03:44] its damage over 10 seconds. This effect

[03:46] can only occur every 30 seconds." And

[03:48] your final choice is the Rune of

[03:50] Lingering Reflexes. It says, "When

[03:52] struck in combat it increases your speed

[03:53] by 115 for 10 seconds and it cannot

[03:56] occur more than every 30 seconds with a

[03:59] 30-second cooldown. After that, we have

[04:01] the Lingering Rune. This is just one

[04:03] option here and this is the Rune of

[04:05] Lingering. Says the effects of your core

[04:07] rune leave behind a periodic effect that

[04:09] deals 2,745 cosmic damage or restores

[04:12] 1,116 health over 8 seconds based on

[04:15] whether the target is an enemy or an

[04:17] ally. Your core rune favors hitting

[04:19] targets that are unaffected by the Rune

[04:21] of Lingering. After that, in week four,

[04:24] we have a choice node and this has four

[04:26] options. Each of these runes are procced

[04:28] by your core rune and increase your

[04:30] rating by 78. So, you have the Rune of

[04:32] Critical Power that increases your

[04:34] critical strike rating. You have the

[04:35] Rune of Burning Haste, which increases

[04:37] your haste. You have the Rune of

[04:39] Masterful Cunning, which increases your

[04:41] mastery. And you have the Rune of the

[04:43] Versatile Warrior, which increases your

[04:45] versatility. And finally, at the end,

[04:47] you have a choice node with three

[04:48] choices. You have the Rune of the

[04:50] Overlord, which increases the

[04:52] effectiveness of your core rune ability

[04:54] by 100% or you could choose the Rune of

[04:56] Residual Energy, which increases the

[04:58] effectiveness of your Rune of Lingering

[05:00] by 100% or finally, the Rune of Echoes,

[05:03] which says the effects of your core rune

[05:05] leave behind an echoing curse on your

[05:07] target. After 10 seconds, an echo of all

[05:09] the damage and healing done by your core

[05:11] rune and lingering runes is repeated at

[05:14] 50% effectiveness. So, yeah, that is

[05:17] your full talent tree as of the

[05:18] recording of this. Now, once you do

[05:20] fully upgrade your talent tree, you do

[05:21] get an achievement and that achievement

[05:23] does reward a decor version of the

[05:25] Sunstrider Omnium that you can place in

[05:28] your house, which is pretty cool and you

[05:30] can purchase more of these for Voidlight

[05:32] Isle if you want to. So, that is the

[05:34] Sunstrider Omnium and the Omnium Folio.

[05:36] Overall, the system seems pretty

[05:38] harmless and is going to help people

[05:39] reach their goals in season one. Now, I

[05:42] feel like having it as a passive buff is

[05:44] just a much better way of going about it

[05:46] than having to completely replace a

[05:47] piece of gear. And obviously, let's be

[05:49] realistic here, people are just going to

[05:51] look up the best builds and then set it

[05:53] and forget it. So, seems like an

[05:55] interesting system. Let me know in the

[05:56] comments your thoughts on this. Let me

[05:58] know your thoughts on like borrowed

[05:59] power in general. What do you think of

[06:00] the other ones that we've had in the

[06:01] past? Is this something Blizzard should

[06:03] continue, or do you think this is

[06:04] something that should be left in the

[06:05] past? Let me know your thoughts in the
