From 30 viewers to partner: TikTok growth secrets
50sReveals a specific, actionable growth strategy (TikTok) that led to Twitch partnership, appealing to aspiring streamers.
▶ Play ClipIn this interview, streamer Aliface shares her journey from being a Valorant-focused content creator to successfully transitioning into variety streaming. She discusses how TikTok played a crucial role in growing her Twitch channel, the mental challenges of breaking free from a niche, and practical tips for creating viral content.
The host introduces Aliface as the first guest for a series of streamer interviews, aiming to learn from her journey as a successful partner streamer and TikTok creator.
Aliface is a variety streamer who previously focused on Valorant and TikTok content. Three months ago, she decided to quit Valorant and move on to other games.
Aliface started streaming on Justin.tv (later Twitch) playing Minecraft, averaging around 30 viewers. Her conservative European family disapproved, leading to her computer being locked away.
After college, she returned to streaming for fun during COVID, starting with League of Legends and then Valorant. She built a community from toxic League and Valorant players.
Aliface still lives with her mom and keeps her updated out of respect. Her mom doesn't fully believe streaming is real but is slowly coming around.
Aliface explains her decision to switch from Valorant to variety streaming. She felt unhappy doing only Valorant content and realized she had more to offer as a creator.
The Valorant community became increasingly toxic, with 8-9 out of 10 games being toxic. This contributed to her decision to quit.
Switching to variety made streaming fun again. While viewership dropped initially, her community embraced the change, and she feels happier than ever.
Aliface dreams of creating a 'Content Olympics' with IRL and online games, inspired by QT Cinderella's award shows. She also wants to do travel vlogs and food reviews.
Aliface credits TikTok for her Twitch growth. She started posting consistently in 2021, experimenting with different content styles until something stuck.
Her formula: understand your audience, recreate successful videos in a better way, keep a notebook to track improvements, and ensure every second is engaging. Use text animations and emotes to hold attention.
TikTok was the main driver for achieving Twitch partner. She had around 350-400k TikTok followers at the time, though many were inactive.
Create videos that make viewers wish they had watched live. Use CapCut for editing and focus on moments where chat interaction is key.
TikTok was 100% responsible for her viewer growth from 20-30 to 200+ average viewers. She repurposed successful content and innovated constantly.
Aliface wishes she had switched to variety streaming sooner, right after getting partnered. She felt trapped in Valorant and lacked the courage to change earlier.
She shares the quote: 'If there is no enemy within, the enemy outside can do us no harm.' She recommends journaling when feeling down, not necessarily every day.
After a serious car accident, Aliface realized she wasn't happy as an engineer. She decided to pursue content creation full-time, saving up financially for a 'strategic leap of faith.'
She shares a quote from her stream: 'My book was rejected 111 times before it was eventually published. When you get thoroughly rejected, you realize you do full of the work and you stay out of the consequences.'
Aliface's journey highlights the importance of pivoting when passion fades and using platforms like TikTok strategically to grow a Twitch channel. Her key advice: take a strategic leap of faith, innovate constantly, and don't let fear of change hold you back.

48:29[00:02] god I've been wanting to interview people so you're you're the first victim for the interview I love being first I know actually it's I've been my last name is always starting with a B so I've always been
[00:16] first oh man my anxiety came from there actually since I was a kid no being first is great oh oh I lost my OBS now oh nose no okay wait hold on yeah
[00:30] like my last name starts with a P so no matter what orientation whether they start like from the beginning or start from the end I'm always in the middle like my favorite I I would hate to go first
[00:45] too because it's like uh but like it's so nerve-wracking no yes the nerves I know okay I need to open up the document that I wrote okay wait let me hide this that I'm gonna follow on the side it's gonna be like kind of kind of like a
[01:01] little a little rough list of like kind of what we're gonna go over okay I've kind of like balanced out my other page now all right but the whole point of this interview and like what I wanted to go over was I think that we can learn so
[01:14] much from other people's Journeys and you're a successful partner streamer and a tick talker and I feel like we have so much to learn from you so I feel like we about your experience and how you got to
[01:27] this point so first off if I could have you introduce yourself like what's your stream sure yeah thanks for having me um my name is Ali face and I'm a variety streamer so you can call me Ali or Alice
[01:43] um I used to only stream Valor and make Valor content from that also post on Valor content from that also post on Tick Tock every single day but as of uh I think three months ago I made the decision to just
[01:55] basically like quit Val and just move on from that game so yeah I I'm very excited to talk about my experience as like consecrator on Tick Tock and like on so yeah awesome yes guys Ali is very cool he
[02:11] should follow Ali if you haven't already um oh no the first question though to drinking by the way oh um this is like a Wawa drink charger
[02:23] while I was like a deli in New Jersey area kind of like um oh dang it operates 24 7 it's like a 7-Eleven almost wait that's so nice and they give you they it's kind of it's a recharger where there's like caffeine and
[02:38] it's not really healthy for you okay but it's good it tastes good gotta get that streaming energy you know yeah basically yeah it looks yummy though dang okay but I've been sitting on Tick Tock for a hot minute now so
[02:52] when did your streaming career start like did you start with Tick Tock or did no I started with twitch years ago but technically I could like start from the
[03:05] beginning when I first started like give us a story I'll give you I'll give you the TL DR a little bit but um basically I started streaming on turned into twitch like they bought the name twitcha TV
[03:18] like they bought the name twitcha TV damn Minecraft at the time uh for about inspired to like make people laugh and make a community and at the time I was averaging around like 30 views or something but uh my family is very uh
[03:32] conservative and my mom and my family like are all Europeans so they have the play video games and you can be online because it's unsafe because it's unsafe so she got really defensive about it and
[03:46] she basically because I was a kid at the time I don't even remember how long this how long ago that was but the beginning of twitch I I've been there for like a um she basically made sure that I would not be able to stream like either broke
[03:59] my computer or like basically lock my computer away at the time computer away at the time um to prevent me from either streaming or just being online because it was very unsafe back then I'm
[04:11] still unsafe now but back then there was a lot of other things that were unsafe there as well yeah so after that I um you know went with my life and when I finished College I was like I want to try streaming for fun
[04:24] because I was already in Esports at my University and it was still in gaming revolved around gaming my whole life anyway so I'm going to try to stream for fun and I started about three years ago during covid when Valerian first came
[04:37] out um I streamed about two or three months before then for like League of Legends or something like that but it was very irregular which is kind of like for fun and I started playing Valerian
[04:50] um and I found that it was really fun to do kept playing it and for about two um I just kind of like pressed the go live button you know what I mean and just had a fun wall streaming and I built my community from like the writers
[05:06] built my community from like the writers the the toxic Leaguers and Valor and then I was like you know what I kind of want to try making tick tocks and see it about a year ago and we not maybe like a
[05:20] I mean I was stalking you I saw you have videos from like 2021. I went all the way to the bottom I was like damn look at these OG videos that is crazy wait then do your parents know you stream now yeah
[05:34] how did they find out how did yeah I still live with my parents right yeah I still live with my parents right now oh with my mom and now oh with my mom and um one is that she like I never was it
[05:48] was never a secret oh it was never a secret to begin with I just kind of like said it because I usually keep like my life updates to her so she doesn't feel kind of in the dark it's kind of like out of respect because
[06:02] we share the same space yeah so uh just letting you know like hey I'm doing this the internet is really important um she doesn't believe like still that it's real that makes sense oh really but uh she's she's trying
[06:18] somewhat yeah you know like slowly coming around you know I feel like especially like they grew up in a different generation with no internet so like my dad first thought I was like doing some cam stuff and I was like oh
[06:31] doing some cam stuff and I was like oh no that's not what I'm streaming that no like that's crazy we've seen that Tick Tock about you and I was like yeah that probably think as well if I didn't like explain it it's hard to explain to
[06:43] streaming video games to like hundreds of people and they like to watch me I of people and they like to watch me I swear understand and if even if they did I think they still don't quite understand
[06:58] unless they do it themselves so I think there was a point where I was doing a there was a point where I was doing a subathon like last year and because of how long the subathan went I told her I'm like I'm just gonna be up for many
[07:10] days and if you want I can introduce you to my community and she's just like oh I don't know and then randomly ended up like dressed up coming in through this door and saying hello everyone and
[07:26] then I introduced her to like the chat I think it was last year in um August it's almost been a year now and I think I had a couple of tick tocks with her too where she was doing the ARA oh my God that sounds so funny the back
[07:42] then it was like a cringe like trendy thing that anybody could do now it's kind of like oh but back then it was like I'm like yeah she said it normally I was like okay then say it to a very sexy man and then you know the rest was
[07:55] history type of thing dig does your mom have a nickname in chat is Mom leonte because my my user is katliante um I think it's Mama face yeah that is so cute oh we stand Mama
[08:13] face Oh I wanna talk about what you mentioned prior and how you originally were a valorant streamer but then you swapped her variety like what was your thought process doing that Swap and like why did
[08:26] process doing that Swap and like why did you make that decision the middle of this because that's my yeah so I was eating a like a bun as
[08:42] well on the side so it's just eat up eat up uh so I I made Valerian content for a very long time that's all I'm known for on on Tick Tock and I feel like I have a lot more offer to offer as a content creator
[08:58] other than just Valerian nothing to say that there's like you know wrong with anything just making Valor content I am just not happy doing it like forever if that makes sense I started looking at it as like if this is the only type of
[09:11] content that I was making will I be happy and I started to become to like come to a conclusion that I would just not be happy and where this past year since January I fell into a very like sad boy stage where I knew
[09:26] a very like sad boy stage where I knew that my content is like good enough to make numbers on Tick Tock but it wasn't like what exactly I wanted to be as a content creator like the numbers were great and you know I mean you've got
[09:40] some viral bangers like they're always on my for you page yeah there's some thank you there's some very good videos that I've made that were that I've made that were um that did Super well uh not
[09:53] so we all have that like weird disease that we need to make content and we need to get views and to like the validation of being online that our content is actually good uh we all have that because we need the numbers continue we
[10:07] do we do have that sick of like sick disease of we need to see the numbers to be able to see any results when in reality that's not how it is but it's it's a little bit of both like you will find an audience for yourself no
[10:20] matter what you do because there's so many people in the world that will be at you there's bound to be someone that will like your content that's what it is so it just the algorithm used to find it it's going to take some time
[10:33] um so for me I switched from Valerian because I knew that I didn't want to do this forever and I was like if I'm just gonna if I know this is it like this is what I don't want to do
[10:45] why am I just like waiting for something else to happen for me to be able to make else to happen for me to be able to make different content so I became super sad the community was [ __ ] at the time dude the community was so bad this year the
[11:00] community just [ __ ] flew I know before was like somewhat you know toxic and somewhat wholesome so it was bearable but now like eight or nine out of the ten games that I went at the time that I
[11:13] would decide to quit Valerie it was super super toxic it was toxic non-stop yeah I feel like nowadays like ranked games like feel bad like it just it does not feel good to play even if you win yeah exactly so I just kind of said like
[11:28] if I'm not happy how can I make my viewers and my following happy if I just slowly make content that I truly don't believe makes me happy anymore um and because of it I found I found like myself just like not making content
[11:45] um at one point I stopped like posting tick tocks stop posting like YouTube are moments where I like dreaded Valerian because that's like that was the only Outlet I could do but in
[11:59] reality that is not how streaming is you you just stream what you want to do because your community will like you for you it's not exactly at the end of the day it's whatever and like also the streamer Camp has been so like fun to do
[12:14] before and I'm like I want to do before and I'm like I want to do everything yeah I don't even like wow can sometimes feel pigeonholed into whatever we blew up off of you know and
[12:28] you're like you feel like you're pigeonholed into Valerian it's like oh if I were to swap to a different game will people leave and not like me anymore because I swap from like the OG game that I'm playing like how do you
[12:40] feel like swapping to variety Has Changed For You in terms of the content you're making just like how you felt overall as a creator
[12:53] like I know it's like like it's like a blueprint if that makes sense so it's easy for me to make content on Valerian because that is what I've been switched to variety first I need to understand like what
[13:07] um sorry there's a redeem right now that I'm like it is all good go do your redeem if you need to it's completely uh four other games like a variety it's a
[13:21] like going to be viewable or something palatable to the viewer because to me it's funny uh but to many of my viewers it might not be as funny because it you example it's like those moments where you're like is it a virality funny or is
[13:37] community was there it made it funny type of thing yeah I'm thinking of a tick tock audio it's like funny haha or funny and funny yeah yeah exactly funny and funny yeah yeah exactly oh so it though for me the mood changed
[13:52] a lot in my community in in a good way because I could see that my community and chat enjoys me playing other games other than Valerie and to my surprise a lot of my community very much loves me being like just
[14:09] it doesn't matter about the game obviously there is going to be a major drop in viewership because that is what you would expect in like your regular content being completely changed um but the foundation is there and I'm
[14:25] there no matter what I know there's like a big change but it's I've never been more happier streaming than I am now it is so fun again I love that for you oh
[14:38] my gosh yeah I feel like often like I feel like every Creator kind of goes Dread making the content sometimes because you're like stuck doing this do I want to do something else and like finding that Joy
[14:53] hard I'm really glad you managed to find that again yeah it's it's still trial and error there are some days where I'm just like you know I want to go back to Valerian because it's like the cushion of like
[15:07] content you know what I mean it's like the constant Galore almost um yeah everywhere it's like the it's like the game right now or one of the top games yeah like everybody's playing it everybody will be able to understand
[15:21] like the inside jokes not the inside jokes you know there's just things in the game but truly I don't have fun playing the game as much as I used to needed to change so I'm playing only uh I played only up
[15:35] yesterday where um I poured over my water over myself every time I fell there was a kiddie pool in the background you're probably like soaking by the time I don't think it was the kiddie pool was how L by the
[15:47] was crazy so um but it's things like that that I that I won't be able to do it's just I wouldn't think about it because I'm so used to making the same type of content that I know will go like you know viral
[16:04] really good numbers yeah average would be 100K views on tick tocks and it would just be something that I'm super comfortable with but now I am very experimental there's things that I'm challenging myself with there's
[16:19] like an IRL stream that I did there's like just yeah I saw that New York IRL stream that was really fun I wanted to do an IRL stream a month ago I would tell you that you're lifeless that's just it's crazy and
[16:32] scary I would not do it wow are there things in content creation that you want things in content creation that you want to do like far out like no ropes no holds like anything can like anything can happen that you just haven't done
[16:44] yet that you're like trying to like it's in the I feel like we all have stuff in the back of our minds that we're like it'll be great to do this and just yeah there's like no no money no strings no nothing it's natural anything
[16:56] like that um like you can do anything I won I really wanted there you remember I won I really wanted there you remember how we did like the application of yeah um one of those things I wrote as a YouTube video where I wanted to make a
[17:10] YouTube video where I wanted to make a uh a Content Olympics yeah unlimited Budget on unlimit everything I would like bring a lot of content creators from all over the world to compete in a um like an Olympics for only content uh
[17:24] creators and they would play Iron games like Mario party uh Mario Kart like IRL Mario Kart like rainbow so you took a like driver yeah you can like throw like driver yeah you can like throw shells
[17:38] it would be a combination between IRL and like online games with their favorite creators I would have done that but if something like if you're doing something like more repetitive instead of something like a like a big show I
[17:51] qtcentral is a big inspiration to like uh creating like an award show that big I've always wanted to do something like that and also I wanted to do traveling
[18:05] Vlogs or traveling like um to different places of the world but that was kind of will do that at some point in my life just not rain no because there's a lot of stuff going on yeah I would love to see travel videos from you that would be
[18:20] so fun I think I'm more of a foodie type of I think I'm more of a foodie type of person so like Ali's food reviews yeah so my boyfriend and I we always go to get food to like in New York City and we
[18:33] find places like bubble tea is our favorite New York food is so good yeah New York food K-Town is our favorite place wait have you been to this place in Caton called like I'm trying to remember the name like it was like food
[18:46] pocha 32 it's Korean food okay so pocha we were looking at we have not been we were looking at we have not been there there's a place in on 55th Street where you can have all you can eat seafood
[18:59] like like this like crab Lobster fresh wait like this like crab Lobster fresh wait how much is it like 120. but for all you can eat crab and lobster that's value he's crazy like whenever we do go we oh
[19:15] he's crazy like whenever we do go we oh man we take like 12 at least 12 lobsters need to hit you up for the food Rex because I wet and like let me know I ate a bunch of at a bunch of places but I I completely missed the all-you-can-eat
[19:28] lobster and crab part because how did I not go there now I'm so sad there's also an all you can eat wagyu in New York City as well Japanese Wagyu
[19:47] amazing yeah I need to make a trip let me know there's a bunch of Michelin Starry restaurants that we've been to as well that are affordable okay okay
[20:04] Michelin star restaurant for like I think 15 Ramen so it's Michelin star let me know if you need any records I need to make another trip to New York I I'm adding I'm going to Asia already like in next month for a month and
[20:20] two days I'm going to San Francisco tomorrow it's all like wow you're traveling a lot that's crazy I'm gonna add New York to this list too oh yeah so going back to the streaming questions after getting to your world
[20:34] questions after getting to your world about New York food so obviously you're a successful streamer you got partnered we would all like to you got partnered we would all like to know how did you grow your streams
[20:47] um so I watched Caliente on Tick Tock that is how I grew My Stream if you guys her out okay that she gave me all the tips to actually grow my stream I'm um oh thank you for the five star Yelp review
[20:59] review yeah yeah like live streams didn't transition that
[21:13] consistently post anywhere else and when I started doing that I actually gained success on Tick Tock but it didn't come very fast it very it very
[21:25] much came very slowly like you said I started posting back in 2021 and it was one point I was posting vowelcraft videos that was my first thing that I ever posted was when I played valorent and Minecraft at the same time I would
[21:37] like to kill how to get a kill in Valor and and then I would Tab out to play Minecraft and then I would tab back in to get to play Valerian dude that sounds like my ADHD yeah that literally is what it was it
[21:49] was ADHD on crack and uh one of my first ever viral videos was the BattleCraft video um and it was funny because I misspelled motherload there um on that video and it it went viral I
[22:04] was like great dude it's the engagement bait because everyone everyone has to tell you that you misspelled it it I mean it was a crazy clip regardless it was misspelled but yes I do I do agree with the engagement bait stuff so
[22:18] agree with the engagement bait stuff so um but I may take talks that I made tick tocks until something stuck remade that type of content um got bored of that content which was valcraft started making new type of
[22:30] content waited till something else stuck and repurposed that type of content again which was the wholesome videos oh no there was like a sussy phase at some point too like I was baiting people into saying some weird sussy [ __ ] because
[22:43] saying some weird sussy [ __ ] because Valerian had a sussy wave yeah it did so everybody wrote that way for a while too and then that wave got switched last year as well I think around August or something and I did I decided honestly
[22:58] The Sassy wave isn't my thing at all um I felt low-key like kind of uncomfortable when I like rationalized and logically like thought about it yeah after a while I'm just like all right I gotta change something because this [ __ ]
[23:10] gotta change something because this [ __ ] getting weird I gotta I gotta yeah so I did and I started doing more of the wholesome videos and I started doing the um the blank after every kill in death and the Waluigi way stuck with me even
[23:25] to now like still people come into my chat and tell me to like and I'm like chat and tell me to like and I'm like this is like a year ago let go of it you're like I want this to be in my past yeah it's like you do something that you
[23:39] you're not really embarrassed so but he's just so much that it just it kills your soul to do it again so that's that's how that I grew my Tick Tock to um half a mil I think right now that's where we're at and I'm switching my
[23:53] content so good luck with that guys I don't want to like talk about one mentioned this like prior as well about how you know I'm sure like people are curious how you figured out the formula to make uh I know this is about Valerian
[24:10] that's applicable across games as well like the formula to make a video go viral what is your formula secret if you don't mind sharing um viral okay so or like if you get numbers you know get numbers okay well
[24:25] you need to really understand your audience and who you're you're basically your following is uh by getting videos that do well work well like I said if there's a video that does very well
[24:41] um in the past see if you can recreate that but in a better way like if there's something there's a joke that didn't hit quite the same find a way that you can say that joke in a different way um with a different like setting and
[24:56] recreate that video but it better um to be honest every time I posted a tick tock about um two years ago and I really wanted to grow my Tick Tock following I used to
[25:08] notebook right next to me I always have a notebook next to me where I write like what happens during the video and where can I improve during the video and where can I improve on it and slowly I started averaging
[25:21] on it and slowly I started averaging around like 10K views and then 20K and then average 30 and then it slowly built up to 100K a video no matter what I posted I just found the formula of like make sure that if at any point I'm
[25:34] watching the video if I'm bored as an editor because I edit all my stuff if I'm bored watching this the viewer for sure is going to be bored watching it so I need to find a way to make sure that this like specific moment is more
[25:49] this like specific moment is more engaging for either the ADHD brain or for someone who's like finding it super funny and recreating it visually like with um more like like animations of
[26:02] reactions like emotes or like text animation something that will actually constantly move on screen to for people to keep engaging with that is something matter what video is but in terms of virality it has to be with understanding
[26:18] your audience and repurposing the content that you currently you had in the past plus more on top of what you've already done does that make sense oh can we see like like one thing in your notebook like
[26:32] video I'm I'm just curious about your like behind it I don't have the notebook that I use for tick tock to be honest not next to me this is more for the streaming one oh you have my first do you have one for
[26:47] like YouTube too like just separate notebooks for socials I don't have YouTube because I've only I've only done the repurposing content for YouTube shorts at the moment I am starting like long form content on YouTube but like I
[27:00] said I'm the only editor at the moment I am commissioning other editors to do other things I'm moving on from being just an editor because I need to stop doing that I need to find a life and not edit nine hours a day you know what I
[27:12] mean dude editing has me like literally what I edit I'm just like there are some days that are like that and some days I'm just like I'm so happy
[27:25] I can make it everything I want that I imagine it to be yes I I like that freedom of um I know exactly what I want and how to why I didn't want to get an editor is because you would it takes so long to
[27:40] find an editor that like kind of kind of replicates your replicates your editing style yeah it's it's a little bit hard like um I I Loki was lazy to teach someone to do it because I would
[27:52] those people that like instead of me asking for help I would do it myself no I completely relate with you it's like I maybe this is like the narcissism of me speaking but it's like I can do it and I can do it better so like
[28:05] I mean that's ferret I think it's more of a confidence I don't think yeah it's of a confidence I don't think yeah it's uh it's a little too much confidence any means but it's like a a for everything okay so would you say that
[28:20] then Tick Tock is also what helped you get partner on Twitch yes 100 that is how I got partner I did not have any other form main form of social media other than Tick Tock and twitch like I had Instagram I had a a tick tock that
[28:35] blew up my Instagram or some God forsaken reason I don't know why that videos that like you don't put much effort into and it blows up and the one and editing and making everything perfect does like 1000 views you know
[28:52] perfect does like 1000 views you know yeah it's like one of those so my Tick yeah it's like one of those so my Tick Tock 100 made sure that I would become partner that is how I made partner like hands down
[29:05] oh oh wait and also for context for everyone in stream too like what or I guess like do you roughly know how many followers you had on your platforms when followers you had on your platforms when you got partner
[29:22] I don't think I remember I'm gonna be honest with you I gotta look back but for tick tock but for tick tock I think it was around like
[29:39] 350 maybe 400k maybe it was like 350 400k maybe not it wasn't 500k at all and um I'd say like 150k of that was from valcraft which was not the content I was making before and a lot of that content like a lot of those followers were no
[29:53] like a lot of those followers were no longer active so I would say if you kind of you know subtract all that to get partner if you're trying to get metrics specifically for that you you might only
[30:05] need like 100k maybe even just like maybe 200k to get partner like if you're repurposing content that is from twitch repurposing content that is from twitch um and bringing that aspect to tick tock
[30:19] were you making a video that it's like oh my God I wish I saw this live like if you want to make a con like a video that if people regret like a video that if people regret missing your stream people should always
[30:34] want to watch you live like this would have been so funny live it's still funny have been so funny live it's still funny as a video but if I was there it would have been a crazy moment to be a part of like there was there's so many moments
[30:47] that you can just recreate or re-edit in that way to kind of force the viewer to have that kind of like Viewpoint of your video so if you want to blow up on Tick Tock make sure you use cap cut like 10 minutes once in a while okay not like
[31:02] minutes once in a while okay not like all the time but also create videos that relate to your content onto on Twitch and obviously relate that content on Tick Tock and just kind of read the two if you want to have two separate
[31:15] entities it's fine I don't like it's more that's not what I did so I can't really give you advice on that but if you guys want to make take talks I want to blow up and make sure your Twitch blows up do that
[31:30] I really like how you wrote how you said it though where it's like make your what people regret not being in your stream like that is so spot on and I find that that way more so with YouTube videos actually than I feel with streams but
[31:45] videos and I know the person like did it live and I'm like crap man like I wish I moment and not just only the ones you chose the show on YouTube
[32:01] um on Twitch we're very focused on engaging and we chat so if there's a way that you can kind of make sure that chat is an important part of your video that is something like that's like an example that you can make that when someone
[32:15] been that viewer in that Tick Tock if I was there so I'm gonna follow them and see when they're alive in the future how do you incorporate that into your own videos
[32:32] of like redemptions so uh yeah shout out to my community for always doing the times you guys are crazy you have like an example of the Redemption uh so there's a video on tiktok where I made perfectly timed moments with Chad I
[32:48] was playing Last of Us uh part one and uh part one and um I try to update my redemptions a lot so at the time I added extra redemptions for like bits and channel points and so
[33:03] on so one of them I was gonna throw a Molly as an example as I was throwing a Molly and someone who redeemed the sound Yeet at the same time as I was throwing it so that's just an example of what
[33:17] happens on stream and there's always like either get scared of it I start laughing and then Karma gets me I don't know what it is but it just in that order it somehow happened that is too funny I was
[33:33] literally watching Mr keem's vods to get info on like what to talk about in the interview later and then I just saw people like Redeeming the fart noise purchase tickets that shit's too funny
[33:48] reviews are too funny I ended up getting scared of one of the redemptions on his train because someone redeemed the fart and his sound was all the way up and we were indoors or something like that and it [ __ ]
[34:01] scared me and I like got scared like you could see me jerk IRL and I'm getting could see me jerk IRL and I'm getting PTSD as I did from stream am I on stream okay like IRL flashbang like like oh my God what is that literally
[34:15] like oh my God what is that literally that is too funny I do want to ask when because I noticed something in your I was stalking your data um I believe I got a hit partner back in November 2020 two
[34:30] um 2022 yeah oh interesting so I was looking at your data and I'm gonna sound like such a stalker so I noticed that in July 20 29
[34:42] 2022 so around the end of July and last year you started like blowing up like maybe 20 30 viewers and then bam your average viewer account also grew up like what would you say caused that if you
[34:57] didn't talk Tick Tock 100 like I'm not gonna even lie like there's a couple things obviously happen on stream too there's I understood I'm not like the funniest person in the room okay I I will 100
[35:11] learn and be the funniest person in the room in the future right now I'm still learning okay I'm not as witty as the next person but I am trying my best center learning I learned to steal other people's senses of humor yeah it's kind
[35:24] of cool like when you try to figure out what someone like laughs at you're like I see your sense I know what jokes you like I will I will use them with you 100 I know not my sense of humor but I only use them to make you laugh so it's kind
[35:38] of stuff like that being very attentive to uh what's going on one like being what they like and um always innovating on your stream I think another thing that really like bummed me out when I was only streaming
[35:53] Valor is that because I found the formula I fell into that trap of like recreating that so I didn't really always innovate 24 7. yeah it was comfortable comfortable you're like I know exactly
[36:06] what to do I'll do this blah blah [Music] aspect when you try new things and you don't know what's going to happen is like thrilling it's like thrilling when you try new things and sometimes it
[36:20] scary but it's still like thrilling enough and at the time um Tick Tock definitely helped me like because something stuck and when I repurposed that right away because I already did that with velcraft so it's
[36:35] something that I'm like okay I used to average around 50 viewers before in bellcraft and now I plateaued to like I don't know like 30 like you said 20 or something like that and then I was like I found something a form content that
[36:47] worked and I repurposed that and then I started averaging around I think I think at one point I was averaging around like two 200 something like 250 I don't two 200 something like 250 I don't remember and after that I started to
[36:59] understand what my my following would like and repurpose that that makes sense you hear that guys rinse and repeat and repurpose your stuff I feel like so many
[37:11] times try telling people guys like if something works this is the gods telling you that you need to make more of this type of video but I do agree though like like sometimes you can get too comfortable in the relationship you know
[37:26] and then it's like this may not be the best thing for you but now you're comfortable and you're sitting here in this and you do need to not explore other options but it's like you got to innovate you got to innovate
[37:39] boring if you stay a little too comfortable yeah like same with tick tocks and any social media in general if you stay too comfortable with where you're at then you're gonna have videos that get the
[37:51] same amount of views and it's oh it's great if you're getting like a lot of views if you're getting like 100k views per video but still like at some point you're going to Plateau on the amount of the audience that you can
[38:04] like yes there's only so many people you can capture like you said with like the vowel craft content so then you what an experimented and innovated a different style of content that then captured a larger audience for you and then rinse
[38:16] the repeat and rinse a repeat like take notes everyone take notes I keep putting this because my chat's this way but my camera is here so I'm like I do a point here because my chat is over here but yeah that is like wait but
[38:29] you're up here like I bought a question that I want to ask everyone this one actually but this if you could do one thing differently in your streaming career what would you change
[38:42] I would switch to variety a lot sooner um damn you hey Valerie that much just like I felt so trapped in valorant that once I like it's not even like the content it's not even the game it's like me it's
[38:59] like I thought myself into a box because that's just something that I I I'm doing 24 7 so obviously I just gotta repurpose it and do that but it's it's more like
[39:11] um it's a mental game and once you understand the mental game and see that no matter like what you do as long as you like being yourself and you have fun you just go ahead you know just yeah
[39:28] I'll do it it doesn't matter like at the end of the day it's my life but as you by your own content to be able to repurpose it or recreate something to get those numbers that you just kind of like lose a little bit of part yourself
[39:43] here and there when you just want to innovate like you constantly put yourself back be like okay what if this this content is definitely not going to like do good because it's different from what I'm doing
[39:56] but once you step over that hurdle it doesn't matter at the end of the day I wish I switched to variety a lot sooner I wish I switched a variety like the minute I had partner to be honest really yeah I think at that time I
[40:11] already knew um that I wanted to do variety I just didn't have the courage to do it yet does that finally oh how I got the courage oh it's like
[40:25] where you have nothing else to do but do it that's so sad but I'm glad I'm glad you got the courage but um
[40:39] I knew I had to change something and I just had to [ __ ] do it okay that is how many times can I do the same content and truly fall into a pit of despair before I quit making content you know like I said there was a
[40:56] point where I stopped making content because I felt like um like the content that I want to make for future would not be received by my following well so therefore it's basically restarting everything again
[41:11] it's like the whole like I gotta scratch everything and go back to the drawing board yeah and in reality that is how it is but it's a lot easier because you're
[41:23] going back to the drawing board with experience not with just like how you making content so it's it's much easier to do that but
[41:35] the hurdle of getting over like obviously the views the numbers and at happiness that you're playing with not you know no it's you that is responsible for your own content even if people do want to see your other content they
[41:51] sometimes viewers and like followers that love your content and want you to recreate that content over and over again have that expectation on you and that's like the weight I felt on like Tick Tock and on stream and stuff like
[42:04] that that couldn't I couldn't break out of and then it took me so long to be able to break out of it that I've already felt so upset with my content that I had nothing other than to proceed to a new chapter
[42:21] other than to proceed to a new chapter of my life you know what I mean I'm glad you had this like new change and you're like moving into new content
[42:34] yeah yeah I think it's a good thing I I think I had to experience it because otherwise like who am I gonna you know believe right it's we're always like one narcissistic nature I guess or like the the confidence nature we we think we
[42:49] know best because we've already made so much like content and progress as consecrators that it feels like like we know what we're doing like we know what we're doing I have no idea what I'm doing
[43:07] just winging it you know you're so eloquent I feel like you're putting it towards a lot of things that I like think but then like can't get out I you're very good explaining things I'm
[43:23] not I'm the least person to be eloquent I have stuttering issues English is my second language I sometimes can't properly I would never clock any of these what even like the way you explain things about how like oh you know
[43:39] um what do you call it it's it's so scary to literally drop everything and coming with more experience so it's easier because you have that experience to help you that's like what that makes so much sense
[43:54] you wrote it out so well or you said it out loud so well yeah I'll tell you why because I've said it in my head so many times that I've convinced that is how it is it is though mind is such a powerful powerful thing
[44:08] that if you say it enough times you will believe it so like if you if you say that you're the next Kim Kardashian you'll be the next Kim Kardashian if you say it every single day and no follow I'm the next kid not even kidding it's
[44:21] the mind is crazy I would be the next Kim K so where's my where's my where's Kim K so where's my where's my where's my BBL
[44:34] you like say to yourself in your head most of those affirmations happen with the other five voices that tell me that I'm not good enough but like where I'm going is where I'm going and I also have my significant other
[44:48] telling me that like he always like why are you always so bad like hard on yourself like you're doing good relax You're Gonna Keep you're gonna keep going you're gonna be fine so having someone that's next to you like that
[45:01] what your weaknesses are in your head it's like he's one of my voices too sometimes but it's um you need to understand that you're the only um enemy I think I really love it my
[45:17] um enemy I think I really love it my life is that if there's no enemy within the enemy outside can do us no harm so unless they have a knife but we're so unless they have a knife but we're not gonna that's true technicalities
[45:30] but like emotionally and figuratively like that is the the most you can possibly think about when you're the little voice is in your head because I screaming in my head that telling me that I'm not good enough I usually write
[45:43] um when I'm feeling like [ __ ] you don't have to write you don't have to journal every single day by the way okay that is my advice that's a lot of journaling yeah my advice to people that like they are scared to get into journaling or
[45:58] talking about like writing things down you don't have to write down every day at all it's like when you feel shitty just write it out today I'm time right everything
[46:11] demons it could be that it could be some good that you want to share with the world and you just don't know who to share it with something like that just keep a journal or a little like notepad
[46:24] I have like seven of them lying around all four different things because in my that's like the closest and it just you know it works out that is so cool I need to start Jordan like I'm inspired to journal now like I
[46:38] the journal but I'm motivated mine super close like next I'm motivated mine super close like next to my uh setup and I I hate boring journals so I use a lot of stickers and different colored pencils or pens to
[46:55] what I mean yeah you gotta make it look pretty so you can find inspiration pretty so you can find inspiration all right to wrap this up where can we find you in your walls
[47:10] when I'm going to sleep at night you're gonna be in my nightmares give us your Social Links um so almost everywhere I'm Ally Face
[47:24] um on Twitter I'm Ali face underscore and on Instagram is the only different one which is Alice cookies with a z you know but my main social platforms you know but my main social platforms like YouTube twitch and Tick Tock
[47:39] um all have just like regular alley Face I also have a link tree but I can I could just like drop it off for you yes please give me this is also like so I can have like memory remember later so when I go through the VOD I can remember
[47:53] social and then do you have any final thoughts and words things that you would like to say information you like to impart on to say information you like to impart on to people
[48:14] love but having to understand that and not just realize um before I actually started doing content for full time or not full-time but like actually giving a [ __ ] about content I
[48:29] got into a really bad car accident oh [ __ ] I'm so sorry I'm fine I oh I couldn't break anything oh okay I think like but that's still like traumatizing it's it's not it's not great I'm trying to you
[48:44] but at the moment after that car accident like in the moment I realized that what I'm doing for my life like be it I was an engineer for a very long time and yeah be smart and smart I oh I didn't
[49:01] like what I'm doing so I stopped like I remember feeling like in the moment that where I am today like if I die today right what am I am I happy or am I just
[49:13] like whatever kind of thing right and at the time I realized that I'm not happy you know and the moment of me like video games saved lives okay if I didn't have the reaction speed of Valor and
[49:26] League of Legends things things would have turned out very you could click the Valor and saved my life I literally like League of Legends
[49:42] um at the time my mind just switched from I know I'm not happy but I didn't want to do anything about it because it was hard would mean that it would have to be uncomfortable for a very long time and
[49:57] that I would also have to change my whole life to be in the place where I content I wanted to make people laugh I want to make like video games I wanted in Esports and stuff like that even though Esports is not very profitable
[50:11] right now but we're gonna we'll work on the money we're part of the Esports yeah we'll work on that later but it it I don't want anyone to have to go through a car accident to understand what they want to do is what they want
[50:25] to do like but sometimes it comes to that where in in the moments of like your worst moments of life you're like I hate it here I need to change something hate it here I need to change something so if you know you want to be a streamer
[50:40] you don't want to just that take that leap of faith and you want to be like I have a cushion on the bottom like I did you're gonna do that forever um obviously do a strategic leap of faith like I saved up money enough to be
[50:56] um like financially free for about a year and a half before hitting anything like before hitting a stump of like needing to get a job but obviously make a strategic leap of faith to
[51:09] to be where you want to be like if you want to start a business you want to start content creation just [ __ ] do it like don't wait for a car accident or you otherwise okay people are watching they're just like
[51:24] um oh I know I'm not happy and I understand that I'm not happy but blah blah blah blah blah excuse one excuse two excuse three there's so many excuses to stay unhappy but the only thing that hurts is you yeah for real and I'm one
[51:37] of those people I I fell into the Trap of making excuses and there were plausible excuses don't get me wrong I I have to pay rent I have to do this bills to pay the internet is [ __ ] like everything's I don't
[51:50] streaming on a laptop and for a whole year I sort of streamed on a laptop wow from twitch to get myself a computer which I'm streaming on right now it's possible for everyone and I hope that you guys do take that into
[52:04] consideration for the future thank you for that that was very elegant I don't care what you say that was very well spoken I was listening I was like feeling like tearing up inside I was like oh my gosh
[52:18] tearing up inside I was like oh my gosh this is so motivating way no I genuinely think that like everything you say just makes so much sense and it's put together so well and
[52:31] it hits right here and I was like oh oh thank you so much for coming on oh my God I'm so happy I wish you the best in your content journey I look forward to seeing the variety content from you and it's gonna be amazing I believe
[52:48] thanks thank you but yeah I did learn a lot of uh my consecration Journey from thank you for that as well I'm very honored I'm I'm honored that I could be part of your journey in one way or another
[53:06] chat says thank you for the motivation as well they're getting very motivated because of you that's great that's what I'm here for I I have a redeem in my chat where I do motivational quotes the most unsurcastic way possible all
[53:20] hit us with one of those like motivational quotes that no pressure but no pressure but I have a whole book oh like that people
[53:33] like chat like gives me a page to read off of and I have like a motivational music in the background while I do that and everybody says page 69 and I know that that whole entire quote by heart because Chad redeems it so many times
[53:49] well now I kind of need to know what the page 69 quote is
[54:10] in the background but I'm just gonna say it so my book was rejected 111 times before it was eventually published when you get thoroughly rejected and I mean thoroughly rejected you realize you do full of the work and you stay out of
[54:26] do full of the work and you stay out of the consequences for myself never leave a manuscript at home for
[54:40] more than 24 hours everything stays under submission never accept defeat wow that is the whole entire uh
[54:55] completely out too like you've just read it so many times not even in the book anymore it gets ripped out but I do have a proof yeah you hear that you Tick Tock peeps go post your damn videos okay stop
[55:09] leaving them in your drafts that is so good that was a great way to end it off I'm wow thank you for that Ally that was a great wrap up to this oh my gosh thank you for
[55:25] the motive the free motivational quote redeem of course of course anything for with videos so I might as well give you a motivational quote before I I hop off right thank you I'm honored for this all right
[55:38] on to this this is really fun I don't think I've ever spoken about this openly as much as I did with you so this is kind of like a very comfortable situation I like it it's nice oh I'm glad you find it comfortable yeah if you
[55:53] me know I'm very happy to come in and talk more of the technicalities of the algorithm of tick tock no I would love to this is like I've been cooking this up in the back of my mind because I just quit my full-time job like yeah now 21
[56:07] like something that I've been wanting to do but the streaming Camp kind of like like I selfishly wanted to interview full-time streamers also because I'm going full time so I'm like how are you guys handling this are you guys okay
[56:22] kind of want to know so I've been cooking this up in my mind so I'm really glad I got an interview I'm glad you're the first victim interviewer to come on feels like I'm blessed by this not a
[56:35] victim yeah I'm a victim it's okay it's up to interpretation you know thank you thank you I will leave you now um I don't know who else is coming next but good luck to them and
[56:50] um yeah I hope to see you around uh the streamer camp and streamer camp and I'll hit you up for New York food wrecks please let me know I will even show you around if you showed one I would love
[57:03] that I would love that I I will come over and we will eat lots of bubble tea we'll show you all the places in New York City for the best bubble tea I promise you I've tried thank you I'll be honored
[57:16] thank you I'll be honored okay bye thank you
