Is Twitch Getting Rid of Affiliates?

[00:02] twitch is actually planning to delete twitch affiliate I I saying that correctly I'm not sure if that's the conclusion I'm supposed to take but what they want to do is they want to allow everybody to be

[00:15] one we're going to take a look at the letter from CEO Dan clany and see what he has to say so here it says what's next in 2025 an open letter from twitch

[00:27] D ceny I want to share some of the activi and priorities we focus on for Tu activi and priorities we focus on for Tu 25 okay so basically he's going to talk about the future plans for twitch twitch continues to be a place for creativity

[00:40] sharing experience and growing together Compu Community is passionate and leaning in our goal is to continue to make twitch an absolute best place for and also an exciting place for creators and viewers to build and find their

[00:53] communities so they want to focus solely on streaming they also go over some key accomplishments in of 2020 before in this letter which for them is stream together which is not used by a lot of people but if you want to use it I

[01:07] personally don't think there's something something wrong with it I know a lot of people are like oh nobody's using it so why you should you use it but I think it's something great because like why shouldn't you use it for collaborations

[01:19] I do have a video on how to use it so if you want to use it I'll leave it down in the card above up in a card B I guess but they basically introduced shared here they're going to talk about the new tools they're going to introduce they're

[01:33] going to introduce shared hype trains for people using shared together uh stream together or share chat that will be uh exploring other monetization features that can be used um by you

[01:46] features that can be used um by you collaborating so shared sub calls okay plus we will add the ability to manage share chat sessions right from the mobile app so you're going to be able to do it from Mobile we also will

[02:00] to help small streamers find other streamers who are interested in collaborating such as creating communal events like trick or treat so they want to add some possibilities for you to find some other streamers that want to

[02:15] collaborate with you I think that's something good they want to improve the mobile viewing experience so they want to improve the mobile app um I don't think it's really great right now so I'm glad that they want to improve it in the

[02:28] middle of the year we will be adding the ability to briy both landscape and vertical video to enhance broadcasting so basically what they want to do is they want you to be able to stream both vertical and um horizontal at the same

[02:43] time to Twitch so you can be on your mobile feed and on Twitch gestal feed at the same time with the same stream but then in different resolutions we continue to invest in the feed helping viewers to

[02:56] find content reducing the time to Tes to load you as swipes so basically they're going to make the quality of the app better by just reducing the time that it takes to load things then more ways to edit and share Clips we they we will

[03:11] make it easy to find edit and share Clips we we're giving you the tools so that doesn't really say anything yet but they will be easy making it easier to share and find Clips curious to see how that is going

[03:24] to affect us smooth for editing new ways to highlight epic moments life curious what that means because we just reduce the amount of highlights you can have on your channel and fr way to

[03:39] content far and wide which basically I think they're referring to sharing to think they're referring to sharing to Tik Tok and Twitter X I mean uh Blue Sky Instagram stuff like that YouTube they want you to diversify your content

[03:53] easier we're also looking at more automated ways to find the best moments of your Stream So basically AI to find best moments of your stream maybe and this is the big one right here it's unlocking monetization for everyone in

[04:08] 25 we're excited to open monetization tools subscription and bits to most streamers from day one this will allow creators regardless of their status to grow their communities and start building earnings through direct

[04:22] means for twitch affiliate does this means twitch affiliate gets an upgrade or does this mean twitch affiliate gets

[04:36] deleted I do not know what that means for it I do not know I hope that means it gets an upgrade because I like that there is something between nothing and partner just so you can you have something to work for

[04:52] something that you can accomplish which is not super far from twitch partner because some people are like yeah it doesn't say much no it might not say much twitch affiliate but at least it's something that is reachable and

[05:05] something that it's easier to work for because switch Partners is just such a small percentage of people that realistically speaking it's just you're realistically speaking it's just you're never going to make it and yes there's

[05:18] people that going to make it and maybe you're one of them but the chance that you're going to make it is just so small where twitch affiliate is actually where twitch affiliate is actually something that you can make

[05:35] rather than if they're going to delete it you know what I mean I don't know what you guys think about this but that's my thought about it like I like something to work for and I like some goals and it doesn't have to be twitch

[05:48] feel it but like at least some some kind of goals that you can work for is something that I would really appreciate myself few more Creator sponsorships that they're working with stream elements right now and stream elements

[06:03] is implementing their sponsorships now on the Creator dashboard of twitch streamers twitch Partners can already see these but twitch Affiliates are going to be able to see those from the 11th of March I believe so then you can

[06:15] launch your stream element sponsorships right from the switch page you'll also come with a page that basically shows sponsors what your channel is about sort the tool they talking about right here we're exploring new types of

[06:29] sponsorships and in particular we will be working to expand the matching gifts subscription feature that Will was part of the September and bonus round to sponsorships so basically you can do a sponsorship and then you will get you

[06:43] will get gifted Subs in your channel more frequent promotional events so for example discounts on sub bundles gifted sub bundles for five or more more interactive features so tools we're launching a new feature that allow

[06:58] viewers to react to specific moments on the stream at bits and really others viewers to join in similar to how hype train works these reactions will play a key role in creating Mo fun moments for streamers and their

[07:15] ability to create create custom powerups are on their way I don't think anybody is using powerups right now I mean I'm not and I've not seen anybody using it

[07:27] so are you using powerups leave it down below in the comments building streamer affinity and connection Global expansion of unity and Guild ambassadors so I right now and I signed up for the woman Guild a while ago and I never heard

[07:43] Guild a while ago and I never heard anything back so I think I didn't get in are because they don't say it except for the fact that I'm a woman but I think I I beat that requirement I also never got denied so I don't know I just don't

[07:58] way that's what I'm trying to say basically with the launch of the pride basically with the launch of the pride Guild guilds grew 100 10 42% of their own dedicated space on Twitch which will return in

[08:13] 2025 this year we will expanding guilds including more languages and support our Global Community ambassadors from around the world will have continued grow growth communities too we're doubling the Ambassador count in 2025 so we plan

[08:28] so they planning to add more ambassadors to it hey if you want to I want to be an ambassador of the woman Guild I am all for it like I'm for a to update how the enforcement tools work so instead of

[08:46] just being banned forever what they do right now is the violations are a little bit different if you didn't have violations for a while they basically just give you a clean Slade and you can just start over again and you don't get
