[01:26] Microsoft for comment, but it is yet to
[01:28] respond. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has
[01:30] said, "No one can accuse Microsoft of
[01:33] not having invested for the last 25
[01:34] years." Now, we have to turn this into a
[01:36] sustainable business that delivers what
[01:38] is fundamentally one of the best sources
[01:40] of entertainment. Still moving on. As
[01:42] mentioned previously, Hellblade
[01:44] developer Ninja Theory and Psychonauts
[01:45] developer Doublefine are reportedly
[01:47] among the studios fighting to avoid
[01:48] closure as Microsoft makes significant
[01:50] cuts to the Xbox business. Bloomberg
[01:52] reported that Compulsion, Ninja Theory,
[01:54] and Doublefine are all negotiating with
[01:56] Microsoft to potentially go independent,
[01:58] although doing so would still likely
[01:59] result in significant layoffs. UK studio
[02:02] Ninja Theory is behind the technically
[02:03] impressive Hellblade franchise, which
[02:05] has struggled for commercial success.
[02:07] The developer announced sequel Senua
[02:09] just over a week ago at the Xbox games
[02:11] showcase reveal event. It is unclear
[02:13] what will happen to the game now.
[02:15] Earlier this year, Doublefine, which is
[02:17] behind the Psychonauts franchise,
[02:19] released online multiplayer pottery
[02:21] party brawler Kilm. Like Double Fine's
[02:23] 2025 effort, Keeper Kilm failed to make
[02:25] an impression. Double Fine has responded
[02:27] to the reports of its potential closure
[02:29] with a single emoji.
