This video demonstrates a simplified version of a viral air fryer recipe: rice paper bagels filled with bacon, egg, and cheese. The creator addresses the difficulty of handling large rice papers by making mini bagels, using bacon fat for flavor, and providing a straightforward rolling technique.
The creator previously tested five viral air fryer recipes and found the rice paper bacon, egg, and cheese hack from Chef Out West to be the best, rating it 10/10.
The original recipe requires overlapping three rice papers dipped in egg to achieve a full bagel size, which is challenging to stuff and roll.
The creator renders bacon bits and uses the bacon fat to scramble eggs, pulling them slightly undercooked since they will finish cooking in the air fryer.
Dip rice paper in egg on both sides, remove excess, then layer cheddar cheese, eggs, bacon bits, and more cheese. Roll tightly without folding sides, curling into a package that seals.
Sprinkle with homemade everything bagel spice, air fry at 370°F for 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy. No need to flip due to small size.
The mini bagels are crispy, about 80% filling, and taste like an incredible bacon and cheese treat.

01:07[00:00] This right here is the greatest viral food hack I've ever tried in my life. So in my last video, I tested out five of the most viral air fryer videos on the internet, and this rice paper, bacon, egg, and cheese hack from Chef Out West was by far the best.
[00:13] That might be a 10 out of 10. But there was one small issue. To get a full bagel size, you have to overlap three rice papers dipped in egg, which can be a bit challenging to stuff up and roll. Oh yeah, that is not easy.
[00:26] But I had an idea to make it a little bit easier. So I rendered up some bacon bits and I used the bacon fat to scramble up the eggs, making sure to pull them just a bit undercooked because they'll cook more in the air fryer. I scrambled up some more eggs on a plate and I dipped my rice paper in on both sides,
[00:40] removing any excess egg. To the rice paper, I added some cheddar cheese, popped on some eggs, sprinkled on some bacon bits and a little bit more cheese, and gave it a tight roll up and no need to fold in the sides because you just curl them up into a nice little package and that end piece should seal up nicely.
[00:55] Finally, I sprinkled on some homemade everything bagel spice and I had my mini bagels. These get air fried at 370 degrees for 10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy. And I found since they're pretty small, there's no need to flip them.
[01:07] So if you're intimidated by the bigger version, these mini bagels, I was shocked the first time I tried that. It's so crispy. It's like 80% filling and just tastes like an incredible bacon and cheese.
[01:19] Love it.
