This video provides a comprehensive guide on making gold with alchemy in the upcoming Midnight expansion of World of Warcraft. The creator covers key changes from the War Within expansion, optimal specialization builds for flasks, potions, and transmutations, and highlights profitable crafts. The focus is on multicraft and resourcefulness stats, with advice to specialize in one craft at a time.
The video will cover the best profession equipment, specializations, and profitable crafts for alchemy in Midnight.
A free crafting spreadsheet for all professions in Midnight is available in the creator's Discord community channel.
Alchemy in Midnight loses the Transmute: Tome, which was a key gold-making tool in War Within. New cooldown-based transmutations replace it but are less flexible.
Transmutations now have cooldowns, preventing infinite printing of materials. This is a positive change for profession balance.
Alchemy is significantly easier to get into in Midnight compared to War Within, requiring fewer knowledge points for optimal crafting.
The creator is hopeful about the profession changes, as they address previous imbalances.
For mass crafting, multicraft is the most important stat. Specialization paths should focus on maxing multicraft for the chosen craft type.
Alchemy is a top-tier concentration crafting profession. For concentration builds, focus on the resourcefulness node.
After multicraft, prioritize resourcefulness. A full flask build requires only 70 knowledge points to max stats.
For transmutations, prioritize multicraft and resourcefulness. Max out the node for additional stacks if crafting Wondrous Synergist.
Specialization can increase the number of charges for transmutations, allowing up to four crafts of Wondrous Synergist instead of one.
Wondrous Synergist is expected to be highly profitable due to its use in housing decor, requiring four per item.
Best-in-slot flasks and potions for raiders and M+ players will have high demand. Examples include mana potions and health potions.
Alchemy remains a strong gold-making profession in Midnight, especially with the right specialization focusing on multicraft and resourcefulness. Key profitable items include Wondrous Synergist and best-in-slot consumables.

08:46[00:01] And in today's video, I'm going to show you the best ways to make gold with alchemy. We're going to go through the best profession equipment, the best specializations, and also what crafts will be the real money makers. But
[00:13] before we continue, I just quickly want to say that I will have a completely free crafting spreadsheet for all professions in Midnight in my Discord community channel. So, don't miss out on that. Link in the description. Okay, so
[00:26] looking at alchemy here in midnight, we do have some changes from the war within. But if you're not familiar with war within, don't worry. You don't really have to be. But I just quickly want to say that we have lost the
[00:39] was a huge thing for alchemy in the war within. Basically, you were converting some materials into other materials. It was really, really huge for gold making in terms of increasing your margins on other crafts, but that is not a thing
[00:52] anymore. And that sadly hurts a lot for alchemy overall. But it's still going to be a great profession. But with Tomy, it was really really nice. But we're not getting that this time around in midnight. However, looking at what they
[01:05] have replaced it with is kind of some transmutations where you have coolown crafts where you can convert some materials into others. I don't know how this is going to be, but it is going to be cool crafts. So you're not going to
[01:18] were in the war within. So there are definitely some changes and overall alchemy has also gotten very very much easier to get into as a profession compared to it was in the war within. I think probably a lot of you will like to
[01:32] little bit but still kind of a positive thing I guess cuz alchemy was so hard to jabing about the war within. I'm not going to compare everything from now on. I just wanted to let you know one quick note as well. If you have been watching
[01:46] any previous alchemy stuff or maybe been on the beta yourself, they have now added cooldowns to the moat transmutations. These were not cooldown based earlier. They have now fixed it. So that's a huge W from Blizzard because
[01:59] we were looking at a completely broken profession system because you were able to infinitely print those modes before, but now you cannot do that anymore as of today when recording. We are now like nine days off from early access midnight
[02:14] that. And I'm getting my hopes up for Midnight a lot now when I see those changes coming in because I have been a bit concerned about there being very little changes to professions that have been very broken. But now I get my hopes
[02:27] back and I'm so hyped because it feels like they are really working on the continue doing that. But now I'm getting sidetracked. Let's look at alchemy in going to want to prioritize multicraft at all costs when you craft something
[02:42] that can use multicraft. If you can see multicraft in the crafting details here, it is using multicraft and then you're going to want to max your multicraft. So in this case, if you're making light potions, you're going to want to go down
[02:55] to the path of light first and then you're going to want to max the prolific potioner light out as fast as possible. So don't fill out like the earlier nodes more than you need to to be able to unlock your sub specialization which
[03:07] basically is the next step here. So go as minimum as you can which is going to be 10 and then 10 and max multicraft. If you want to do files you're going to find your multicraft in this node. Then you're going to want to go like 10 then
[03:19] 10 and then 20 here instead. Same with potions. If you go into void you go 10 potions. If you go into void you go 10 10 and then 20. Then of course you have If you are doing some kind of
[03:32] concentration build for like flasks, files, potions, or whatever, you're going to want to fill this node out as well. I am not the biggest concentration crafter. However, I do think that alchemy will be a top tier concentration
[03:44] crafting profession this time around, but I do think on my concentration crafter with alchemy, I'm more going to focus on the transmutation side and the potions or flasks. But it is totally up to you, of course. But just remember
[03:58] which is going to make it better for you if you're a concentration crafter. But I'm mostly focused on mass crafting like crafting without being timegated by concentration. I don't really know what optimal spec here is going to be for
[04:12] gone into the multicraft node, you're going to want to go into the ingenuity multicraft node is going to be the best no matter what as long as you use multicraft. But for a normal mass crafting build, if you want to go in,
[04:26] everything here is mirroring. So like if you go into files, you just do the other side here. If you go into potions, like it's basically the same, but it's just mirrored. So for an optimal build for flask, what you want to prioritize first
[04:39] is, of course, as you can see right here. Now, this nodes doesn't give you any more stats. So now you actually leave this tree and you go into the you're going to want to max if you go flask your files. basically giving you a
[04:52] lot of resourceness, which is going to be your second best stat in mass crafting. If your plan is to make reagents, you go down here to reuse. And if you make potions, you go down here to reduce. So, it's very straightforward.
[05:04] So, after you have max here in recycle, and after you have this 20 node here, there isn't really that much more stats you can get in terms of crafting flasks. So, as you can see here, a full build to flasks in term of stats is only going to
[05:20] be 10 points into alchemical mastery. 20 in here, so that's 30. Then you need 20 here, so that's 50. You need only 70 points to max out the amount of stats that you can have for flasks, which is nice because then you can mass craft
[05:35] them at the best possible outcome with only 70 points, which is quite easy, right? So, it's way easier than the war within to get into this. and then maxing flasks to make them quality two. You're going to want to fill out all the nodes
[05:47] which is basically going to be this one, this one, and then eventually it's also going to be this one. So, not a lot this time around compared to before because War Within was so long to get the quality to flasks, potions, or files.
[06:00] So, I hope you get a clear route now pretty straightforward. I hope I didn't mess it up too much, but it's very easy to get to the correct place here. In terms of the transmutations, I can just
[06:13] one, of course, cuz it gives you more multicraft and also more yield. Then after you have maxed this out, if you're using concentration to get rank two want to go into the inspired transmutation here cuz you get a lot of
[06:27] the finishing reagent slot for transportations, which might be really want to come into the reduce here in alchemical mastery cuz this gives you resourcefulness into that crafts. Then you're going to need 10 points in here
[06:41] and max out reduce. So as you can see all you're going to want to do all the time is just max out the stats that you need for the certain crafts. You do not want to go like oh I go like half this node here and half this node here and
[06:54] here. You need to really go all in at one craft at a time. So if you go flask you go all in flask. If you go transmutations, you go all in transmutations. If you do potions, all in potions, etc. You understand? You
[07:07] don't want to be all over the place. You want to be specific into one craft at a time and passively fill out your profession throughout the expansion. So, getting skill and stuff for the transmutations as well. And we're also
[07:20] going to be able to recharge our transmutations here faster and get additional stacks. So this is very very huge if you plan to craft the wondrous synergist here cuz then you can have up to four crafts instead of just one which
[07:35] you begin with. So make sure you fill this one out if that is going to be your prioritized craft or if you're going to plan to craft this a lot. If you have to craft this a lot then prioritize this as well. Then probably like going for
[07:48] the multicraft and then going for the synthetis synergy might be your best way and then ingenuity. I think it doesn't really matter too much what order you go here because you're easily going to get like 20 40 60 points plus 70 like 70
[08:03] points. I think you're going to be able to get quite fast cuz you have like 24 points from first time treasures. Then you have first time crafts then you have weekly quest, weekly treasures, patron orders, blah blah blah. So you have so
[08:17] much knowledge points to gain when you first start out. So probably getting 70 points is maybe something you can even do like day one or week one. So I don't order you go here. Just prioritize multiccraft and maybe the cooldown and
[08:31] then ingenuity. But that is covering the specialization and it's time to quickly cover what crafts will be the real gold makers than in alchemy. If we start looking at transmutations, I really do believe that this wondrous synergist is
[08:46] going to be huge because it's going to be used in all of the different housing decor. So basically, you need four each. That is quite a lot. People going to demand on this is going to be really good. Then you have the transmutes here,
[08:59] which right now is only one available craft. I don't know if this is how it's day. They just changed this as I said, so they might give you more stacks here, good as well because you can basically convert 10 modes to eight, but you can
[09:14] multicraft this to around 40 or 10 modes to get 40 if you're lucky with probably pretty good to do when you have the CD ready. Looking at the potions,
[09:27] then we have the regular like mana potion, probably going to have a decent demand. We have the silver moon health potion, also probably a good one to start out with. The health potion demand is pretty huge always. So that is nice.
[09:40] Looking at looking at the different flasks and potions, which one is going to be the best? I don't really know. I think you're going to have to watch like the be lists when they come out. Maybe they are already out. I'm not the best
[09:52] like raider M plus person, you know, but any potions that is going to be the best in slot for the raiders, mythic plusers, etc. is going to have an insane demand. So, that is one craft for sure that you're going to want to do a lot of and
[10:07] with the flasks, of course, the best in slot flasks. For example, once again, in the war within, we had alchemical chaos. It was selling way more and faster than as well. Keep an eye out of that, but you will kind of quickly realize what is
[10:23] TSM data from the add-on, you know. But I think it's like kind of straightforward with alchemy in terms of what crafts will be good. Maybe the enlightenment tonic will not be the best for example which basically is giving
[10:35] you slowfall but the healing potion will probably sell a bit more than that right so just keep your eyes out everything in alchemy pretty much has an insane demand throughout the entire expansion so it is going to be an high in demand profession
[10:48] but it also going to be very competitive if you want to support the channel a little bit extra consider subscribing leaving a like to the video also if you full-time creator check out the patreon in the description where you get
[11:02] additional gold guides and add-on profiles as well, of course. Much love, hope you like this guide and I'll see you guys in the next video. Hope to buy.
