08:26[00:00] If you're looking to start selling on Tik Tok shop, this is the best first video to start with because in the last year, we've done tens of thousands of dollars in sales on Tik Tok shop, including over $50,000 in just 60 days with one product. If you're new to this channel,
[00:15] my name is Connor, and in this video, I'm going to show you a simple step-by-step process you can use to start making money selling products on Tik Tok shop, even if you've never sold online before. So,
[00:28] let's jump into it. The first step is to set up your Tik Tok shop seller account. Go over click North America and apply for a seller account. They'll ask you for number one, your
[00:41] business or personal information. Number two, your tax and ID documents. And number three, your bank account so they know where to send your payouts. Fill that out carefully. Submit your information. And once you're approved, you'll have access to your Tik Tok shop dashboard where you can upload
[00:56] products, manage orders, and see your sales. Now that your account is ready, let's talk about the most important part, and that's choosing the right product for Tik Tok. Tik Tok is not like a normal online store. Tik Tok is a video platform, and Tik Tok shop lives inside that platform. What works
[01:13] best on Tik Tok are products that are easy to show off in a short video, have a clear wow moment or visual transformation, and have an existing niche of creators who would be excited to promote it. For example, with our product carnivore electrolytes, we tapped into the carnivore diet
[01:28] niche. These influencers already had an audience that trusted them. So, when we started posting, we did over $50,000 in 60 days on Tik Tok shop. Now, here's one of the biggest secrets that most people skip. Inside your seller center, go to the products tab and click on product opportunities.
[01:44] Tik Tok literally shows you categories and products they believe have strong demand and room for more sellers based on their own data. You'll see trending categories, items sold, and how many products already exist. And also whether Tik Tok is offering extra traffic or rewards if you launch
[02:00] a product in this category. You can scroll through this and look for products with rising opportunity trends and a good number of items sold and not too many existing products. and something that you can clearly demo in a video. You might see things like lunchboxes or bento style containers, pet grooming
[02:15] tools and brushes, cutting boards, or lots and lots of different options. You can then pick one or two of these ideas that meet the criteria and bookmark them. If you already have a product, still check this page to see if Tik Tok is giving you any extra awards or traffic for your existing
[02:30] category. Once you have your product idea, it's time to actually get the product. This is where we figure out inventory and fulfillment. Before you list your product, you need to plan on how it will get to the customer. On Tik Tok shop, you have a few options. Number one, you could
[02:43] ship it yourself. You store the product at home or in a small warehouse. When an order comes in, Tik Tok will let you buy and print shipping labels directly inside a seller center, and you pack and ship the orders. The next option is to use a 3PL, also known as a third-party
[02:58] logistics company. This is a separate company that stores your product and ships orders for you. There are many 3PLs that integrate directly with Tik Tok Shop. This is better if you're doing more volume and don't want to pack boxes all day. Another option is you could actually use Amazon
[03:12] as your 3PL with multi-channel fulfillment. If you already sell on Amazon FBA, you can connect your Tik Tok shop or Shopify to Amazon and let Amazon handle all the fulfillment for you. You
[03:24] can often still offer fast two-day style shipping on Tik Tok using your existing Amazon inventory, which is part of the reason it's great to launch on both platforms at the same time. Finally, there's fulfilled by Tik Tok, which is Tik Tok's own fulfillment network. This is invite only, so
[03:38] it's rolling out slowly, but here you would send your inventory into Tik Tok's warehouses, and Tik Tok would handle the storage, picking, packing, and shipping of the product. Usually, these are some of the cheapest shipping rates, but you'll want to have enough volume to justify storing
[03:51] inventory there. If you're just starting out, you can start with self-fulfillment or use a 3PL or Amazon MCF if you already have inventory set up elsewhere. Once you've decided how you'll handle shipping, you're ready to list your product. Step four is to create and optimize your Tik Tok
[04:05] shop listing. Back in Seller Center, go to manage products and click add new product. This part is crucial because your listing is what customers and creators will see. You'll need highquality images. Don't just grab random AliExpress images and hope for the best. We want to use clean, bright photos
[04:21] and lifestyle images that show how your product is used. And if you want professionally designed images optimized for Tik Tok and Amazon, our team at fbaccreatives.com does this for all of our brands and creates some truly stunning images like these. Then you'll need a keyword-rich title.
[04:37] Tik Tok gives you a recommended format for the title, which is brand name plus main content or benefit plus scope of use plus product type plus main feature. For instance, right here we went with carnivore cutting board. wooden pasfree reversible kitchen cutting board
[04:53] with hand grip for meat and barbecue. Tik Tok uses your title heavily in their search and recommendation system. So use as many relevant keywords as you possibly can. For the description, Tik Tok can generate an AI description based on your title. We can use their AI generated one as
[05:08] a base and we can make sure that it lists the main benefits of the product. It mentions the key features and matches what you actually sell as the AI can make mistakes at times. Now we'll need a barcode or product identifier. Most sellers will either use a G10 or a UPC code. You can purchase
[05:22] official barcodes at GS1 for just 30 bucks each. Once you have your G10, enter it so your product can be scanned and tracked correctly. Here we'll write our main selling price. Optionally, set a higher list price so Tik Tok can show it as discounted when allowed. Enter your starting stock
[05:36] quantity and choose your internal skew code so you can track your product in your own system. Next, we'll need to enter the weight and dimensions for shipping purposes and mark whether this product has batteries or dangerous goods. Now, we can decide whether we're offering free shipping.
[05:50] In most cases, you'll get more orders if you bake shipping into the price and show free shipping on the front end, as customers love their free shipping nowadays. And once you've filled everything out, submit the product for review. If your product is a supplement or consumable,
[06:03] Tik Tok may ask you for extra documentation like certificates of analysis or label proofs. For simple products like cutting boards or homegoods, the approval is usually very fast. After approval, your product is live and visible in your shop. Now we'll move into where Tik Tok shop really becomes
[06:18] powerful. Step five is to turn on affiliates so creators sell for you. This is what makes Tik Tok shop different from almost every other platform. Affiliates aka creators can add your
[06:30] product to their videos and get paid a commission on every sale they bring in. This means you do not have to be the face of your brand or post the content every day yourself if you don't want to. In Seller Center, go to affiliate and set up open collaboration. Add your product to an
[06:45] open campaign so any eligible creator can request to promote it. Set your standard commission rate. For example, if your product sells for $50, a 20 to 30% commission means creators can earn 10 to $15 per sale. When you're first launching, it often makes sense to be generous so that you
[07:01] stand out from all the other products they can choose from. Then we can add free refundable samples. Enable samples so creators can get your product without paying out of pocket. You can then choose whether they are required to post in order to keep the sample or keep it more
[07:15] flexible. We can filter for creators with decent average views and a good track record of actually posting after receiving the samples. We can also filter and approve sample requests one by one. We can look at each creator's average views, their followers, and their estimated post rate, which
[07:28] is how often they posted after getting a sample in the past. I always go through and approve samples for creators who are in the same niche as me and have a good post rate and engagement. I can also invite creators directly. I can use the find creators tool to search for people in my niche
[07:42] or search on Tik Tok itself for my main keywords and see who's already making good content. Then I can create a targeted collaboration, set special commission and perks and invite those creators into it. It's good to have a short, clear message you can send to creators that introduces your
[07:56] brand, explains what the product is and why their audience would care, and offers a free sample and a strong commission. Make it easy for them to say yes. And this is a numbers game. You can reach out to lots of creators. Some say yes and a handful start posting and a few become your top
[08:12] performers. That's exactly how we built up our affiliate base for carnivore electrolytes. After this, you can continue to boost your sale with Tik Tok campaigns and ads. Once you have a product listed and affiliates starting to post, you can use Tik Tok's own tools to push things even
[08:26] further. Co-funded campaigns and promotions is one. In the marketing tab, go down to campaigns. Tik Tok frequently runs campaigns where they will cover part of the discount you offer to customers. You register your product, set the discount, and Tik Tok funds that part as a subsidy. This
[08:41] gets you more traffic and encourages people to buy with limited time offers. Then we have shop ads using your best affiliate videos. Go to shop ads and create a GMV Max campaign. Choose promote
[08:53] products and now set your target return on the investment and budget. You can use the video codes from your best performing affiliate videos as your ad creatives. Tik Tok's algorithm will then take content that already works as you've seen it performing organically and show it to more of the
[09:08] right people. By using creators top videos as ads, you get two advantages. Number one, the content is already proven to convert organically. And number two, you don't have to film and edit your own ad creatives. By combining organic affiliate content, co-founded discounts as well as targeted shop ads,
[09:24] you can scale very quickly on Tik Tok shop. So, that is how to start selling on Tik Tok shop in just a few steps. Set up your Tik Tok shop seller account. Use Tik Tok's product opportunities data to find a video friendly product. Decide how you'll fulfill orders. Create and optimize your
[09:39] product listing with strong images and titles. Turn on affiliates and send the samples to the right creators. and use Tik Tok campaigns and shop ads to scale what's already working. If you want to go deeper and see exactly how we did $50,000 in 60 days with Carnivore Electrolytes on Tik
