4:01[00:00] lord lord what was the lore what was the
[00:02] lore
[00:03] oh why am i having this discussion
[00:06] suddenly outside
[00:07] under this really dimly lit lamp pose at
[00:10] the middle of the night
[00:11] um and no no reason at all yeah you got
[00:14] lord lorticelle
[00:17] [Music]
[00:23] hey bobas welcome back to my channel i'm
[00:25] mari and today
[00:26] i wanted to talk about be tuber lore i
[00:29] see
[00:30] so many youtubers spending a lot of time
[00:32] working on their characters lore
[00:34] and that is amazing some youtubers have
[00:37] actually showed me their lore and i'm
[00:39] just literally reading
[00:41] pages upon pages about their character's
[00:44] background
[00:44] and story and i don't know i just find
[00:47] it incredibly fascinating to see how
[00:49] creative some of you are
[00:50] the amount of time and hours spent
[00:53] crafting your vtuber's
[00:54] oc is already a workload but then
[00:58] to topple on actual lore for your
[01:00] character
[01:01] wow you must be some sort of youtuber
[01:03] extraordinaire
[01:05] can i um borrow some of those
[01:08] creative brain juices um i mean
[01:11] bounce some ideas off each other now you
[01:12] see i'm not
[01:14] creative in that sense i'm someone who
[01:16] excels in visual representation
[01:19] but i fail at storytelling oh
[01:23] i don't really have a lot of lore from
[01:25] my youtuber i
[01:27] kinda do but i hope you all realize
[01:31] that lewd things
[01:34] like hand holding hugging
[01:39] kissing that's all gonna get you sent to
[01:42] home
[01:43] jail okay all right and you don't want
[01:46] me to drag you there
[01:48] so be on your best behaviors okay it's
[01:51] honestly a huge work in progress
[01:53] and even though i already debuted
[01:55] sometimes i can't help
[01:56] but to get a little bummed out because i
[01:59] didn't spend more time working
[02:01] on my lore especially seeing how amazing
[02:04] other youtubers lures are
[02:06] but mari we aren't going down the
[02:08] comparing apples to oranges in the v
[02:10] tuber rabbit hole okay
[02:11] if you're feeling the same way as me
[02:13] well i just wanted to let you know that
[02:15] having lore for your v
[02:16] super is stellar and all and yeah it can
[02:19] greatly enhance your viewer bases
[02:21] immersion of your character and the
[02:22] whole
[02:23] world that you live for your content
[02:25] creation but it isn't
[02:27] necessary to have you can continue being
[02:29] a youtuber without
[02:30] any sort of character lore and build on
[02:33] it as time
[02:34] goes on some people are just simply a
[02:36] hey
[02:37] i'm a high schooler that is you know
[02:39] secretly a magical girl
[02:41] and that that's really it and they just
[02:42] continue their entire youtuber career
[02:44] with just that
[02:45] and that's perfectly okay i really love
[02:47] this one comment i saw on a reddit post
[02:49] about beattuber lore
[02:51] and it goes a little something like this
[02:53] of course the idea that youtubers are
[02:55] these otherworldly
[02:56] anime-like characters that came to life
[02:58] is a huge part of their appeal but anime
[03:01] characters aren't all ninjas and pirates
[03:03] what makes anime characters and v tubers
[03:05] so ideal and dreamy
[03:08] isn't so much of what they are but how
[03:10] they
[03:11] act speak and behave so what's important
[03:13] isn't
[03:14] what role you play but how well you play
[03:17] it
[03:18] i just really liked this comment a lot
[03:20] because i resonate with that
[03:22] idea if you want to spend a lot of time
[03:24] writing about your lore then great take
[03:26] all the time and energy you need to
[03:28] write that novel but don't let it get
[03:30] overbearing or burn you out i've been
[03:32] seeing some post on my timeline lately
[03:34] of people's
[03:36] not even wanting to work on their beat
[03:37] super lore because of how stressful it
[03:39] is
[03:40] and all this pressure that viewers are
[03:42] giving for these content creators to
[03:44] shell out this lore honestly you if
[03:46] you're someone who has been kind of
[03:48] antsy about a youtuber's lore try to
[03:50] take a breather not everyone is as
[03:52] creative
[03:53] in writing and narrating a whole story
[03:56] so be patient
[03:57] having lore is not what defines you as a
[03:59] youtuber like i said it can help make
[04:01] your audience feel more immersed in your
[04:03] youtuber world or relate to your
[04:04] character but
[04:05] it won't make or break you i hope this
[04:07] video can stimulate a discussion about
[04:09] youtuber lore i
[04:10] really really love reading about a
[04:13] character's background story and i think
[04:15] it would be
[04:16] a lot of fun to showcase some v tuber
[04:18] lore in some future videos
[04:20] maybe one of these days we can have a
[04:22] lore showcase
[04:24] for me what do you think bobas would you
[04:27] be interested in me making a mini series
[04:29] on
[04:29] youtuber lore let me know in the comment
[04:31] section down below
[04:32] especially if you're a youtuber and
[04:35] would love
[04:36] me to showcase your lore sometime
[04:38] alright thank you so much for watching
[04:40] boba's don't forget to leave a like
[04:42] and to subscribe to my youtube channel
[04:43] for more vtuber related content i'll see
[04:46] you all around in the next video
[04:48] [Music]
[04:54] bye
