[00:00] Anyone remember from back in the day

[00:01] that whole thing about yelling fire in a

[00:03] crowded area being like a big no no

[00:05] because of you know how dangerous it can

[00:07] be to do something like that? Well, I

[00:09] think there is a word more powerful that

[00:11] instills more fear and it's Pokemon. If

[00:15] you say Pokemon in a crowded area, get

[00:17] ready for dead bodies to just start

[00:19] hitting the floor. If you covered

[00:21] yourself in raw meat and dove into the

[00:23] middle of open water in the ocean, there

[00:26] would be less sharks that eat you alive

[00:28] than had you covered yourself in Pokemon

[00:31] packs and walked into a target. You are

[00:33] just surrounded and completely devoured

[00:37] by scalpers. Like it's it's piranhas

[00:40] that just attack you from out of

[00:42] nowhere. If they smell that you have a

[00:44] Pokemon pack nearby, it's like a Looney

[00:48] Tune scene where they come in and just

[00:49] eat all your flesh off and it's just a

[00:51] pile of bones that collapse. Now, before

[00:53] I start passionately [ __ ] and

[00:54] spitting about the terrible state of

[00:57] Pokemon and the scalpers that infest it,

[00:59] I do want to put something positive on

[01:02] your radar. Right now at Star Forge,

[01:04] we're doing our big summer sale. So, if

[01:05] you if you've been looking to upgrade

[01:06] your PC, now is the perfect time to do

[01:09] so. huge savings across the board on

[01:11] everything at Star Forge. There's a link

[01:12] in the description if you're interested.

[01:14] So, obviously, I'm going to be yapping

[01:16] about some more scalper degeneracy where

[01:18] they go out in public and fight and [ __ ]

[01:20] each other to get their hands on some of

[01:22] these cards in order to flip it online

[01:24] for a slight profit. But before doing

[01:26] that, I want to show you just how out of

[01:29] control this is across the board from

[01:31] companies as well that are trying to

[01:33] capitalize off the Pokemon hysteria. A

[01:36] new product from Pokemon here. First

[01:38] Partner Illustration Collection Series 2

[01:40] launched yesterday with an MSRP of $15.

[01:44] That means that's the price you should

[01:46] expect to pay for that product through

[01:48] retailers. It's the manufacturer

[01:49] suggested retail price. And this new

[01:53] collection here was suggested at $15.

[01:57] But as you can imagine, that's a fairy

[01:59] tale. That's a [ __ ] pipe dream. I'm

[02:01] more likely to hit a growth spurt in my

[02:03] 30s than you are to find this product

[02:05] for anywhere close to 15 clams. And it's

[02:09] not just from scalpers. If you try to go

[02:10] into a GameStop, for example, to get it,

[02:13] they are selling it for $60. That is

[02:16] shameful. That is downright

[02:17] embarrassing. GameStop is already like a

[02:19] pathetic joke that is only held up from

[02:22] theium from the community that has

[02:23] bought into the idea that they can make

[02:25] oodles of cash off of them. But the

[02:27] actual store itself is complete dog

[02:29] [ __ ] It's garbage. The only thing it's

[02:31] good for is like retro game prices or if

[02:33] you're a gambling addict and you just do

[02:35] the [ __ ] GameStop power packs for

[02:37] Pokemon cards. But they can't even do

[02:38] that competitively compared to the other

[02:41] Gamba Pokemon packs out there. The power

[02:44] packs from GameStop are far and away the

[02:46] worst value you can find. So even if you

[02:48] are just like oozing grease and like

[02:51] heavily addicted to Pokemon pack

[02:53] gambling, GameStop power packs are your

[02:55] worst [ __ ] option. They can't even be

[02:57] competitive in that space. There's still

[03:00] trash there, too. It's so cringe how bad

[03:02] GameStop is. So, now they

[03:04] unapologetically

[03:06] have these uh collection series 2 going

[03:09] up for $60 when MSRP is 15. Of course,

[03:13] they're not the only losers doing that.

[03:16] But it's not like this is across the

[03:18] board everyone's doing it because take

[03:21] for example Best Buy. They are selling

[03:23] it in MSRP $15. So it's not like So I

[03:27] don't think that argument works in

[03:29] defense of GameStop, the hiding in

[03:31] numbers like, "Oh, we're blanket

[03:33] protected because it's just common

[03:35] practice. Everyone's doing it.

[03:37] Everyone's smoking these doinks, so we

[03:39] had to smoke it, too." It's just

[03:41] extraordinarily shameless. Companies

[03:42] like GameStop that are okay, proudly

[03:45] marking up to $60 to match the standard

[03:48] scalper prices, which are right now $60.

[03:51] If you go to TCG Player, there is not a

[03:53] single listing at MSRP. And a lot of

[03:55] these come from real legitimate card

[03:57] shops that are just now all gung-ho all

[04:00] aboard the huge markup train to

[04:03] capitalize off the Pokemon hysteria

[04:05] because the simple fact is people keep

[04:08] buying it. It's MSRP of 15, but there's

[04:11] tons of people that are still buying at

[04:13] 60. Stop. Just [ __ ] stop. I promise

[04:17] you're going to be okay not just

[04:19] throwing 60 to balloons down the [ __ ]

[04:21] to get your hands on this new product

[04:23] here. You're not going to be arrested

[04:25] for refusing to pay scalper prices. It's

[04:27] not a requirement. And get this, if you

[04:30] stop buying at that price, they'll stop

[04:33] marking it up to that price. They only

[04:36] get away with doing that because they're

[04:37] people that still gluttonously just

[04:39] consume no matter how big the markup on

[04:42] this new product is. I've seen a lot of

[04:44] people discussing the GameStop inflated

[04:46] prices in particular. And I saw this

[04:49] post here about how this individual

[04:51] apparently asked the manager why they

[04:53] jacked the price up so much. And of

[04:56] course, take all this with a grain of

[04:57] salt as a [ __ ] Facebook post. This

[04:58] could have just been him in a khole and

[05:00] [ __ ] falling asleep and coming up

[05:02] with this dream. But this is something I

[05:05] have seen expressed throughout the last

[05:07] few months about certain scalpers and

[05:09] companies justifying their huge markups.

[05:12] So, according to this post, she said

[05:14] it's to keep all the resellers and

[05:16] scalpers out of the stores and buying

[05:18] and to give all the nonresellers a

[05:20] chance to buy Pokemon products, which I

[05:22] think is completely ridiculous. And as

[05:24] this post points out, so they're trying

[05:26] to give people who don't resell a chance

[05:28] to buy, but you've jacked the price up

[05:30] so much that normal people can't afford

[05:33] to buy it. It doesn't make any sense.

[05:35] Also, to go a bit deeper, if the goal

[05:37] was to get scalpers and resellers out,

[05:39] cut the plastic. Sell it MSRP, cut the

[05:42] plastic. That immediately gets rid of

[05:44] every scalper and reseller there because

[05:46] the plastic is now gone. Anyone who

[05:48] actually does want to collect the

[05:50] product or open the product doesn't care

[05:52] about the plastic being cut. It's

[05:53] something Target recently started doing

[05:55] with that viral video that popped off

[05:56] with the Target guy cutting the plastic,

[05:58] much to the chagrin of a lot of scalpers

[06:00] that were definitely watching in horror.

[06:02] That is the optimal way of handling it.

[06:04] If the goal is to get the scalpers and

[06:05] resellers out, jacking the price up to

[06:07] match scalper prices does the opposite.

[06:10] If you just want them out, cut the

[06:12] plastic. You don't hurt the normal

[06:13] customer. You only hurt the scalpers,

[06:15] which is a big W. But I think we are all

[06:17] smart enough to realize the real reason

[06:19] they have the prices through the [ __ ]

[06:21] roof out the wazoo. It's because they

[06:24] want to just continue to financially

[06:25] capitalize off people's inability to

[06:27] control their spending when it comes to

[06:29] new Pokemon product. So, they move

[06:32] product at $60. They're not going to

[06:35] drop the price down now. And the thing

[06:37] is, even if they did, they're not wrong.

[06:40] If they did sell it MSRP, it would be

[06:42] mainly scalpers and resellers gobbling

[06:44] most of it up because they are botting

[06:47] every time there's an MSRP drop for

[06:49] anything Pokemon related. They are

[06:50] camping out at the stores for 12 [ __ ]

[06:53] hours to be first in line to grab every

[06:55] single one of them that they can fit in

[06:56] their [ __ ] arms. And it, they're

[06:59] right, it would go to scalpers and

[07:01] resellers, which is why cut the plastic.

[07:04] They immediately stop. Cut the plastic

[07:06] on every Pokemon product you sell. Then

[07:08] it only ends up in the hands of people

[07:09] that actually want it instead of the

[07:11] scalpers that just look to make a quick

[07:13] buck off of it. But again, they're not

[07:16] they're not going to drop the price to

[07:17] MSRP. The point is, even if everyone was

[07:20] selling at MSRP, it would be mainly

[07:22] scalpers and resellers that continue to

[07:25] get the lion share of it because that's

[07:26] what it is right now. They are

[07:28] constantly botting. They are doing every

[07:30] underhanded tactic imaginable so they

[07:32] can have so much inventory to jack up

[07:34] the price to absurd heights. I truly

[07:36] wish that I had like a connection to a

[07:39] distributor to get wholesale product cuz

[07:41] I would just perpetually sell it MSRP

[07:42] and cut the plastic off and do

[07:44] everything I could to face [ __ ] these

[07:45] scalpers. It's just it's very rare to

[07:49] get MSRP product that isn't immediately

[07:52] gobbled up by these [ __ ] parasites,

[07:54] these disgusting worms. But anyway,

[07:57] enough ranting about the prices of

[08:00] what's happened to this hobby. A hobby

[08:01] which by the way was originally meant

[08:04] for children. Uh let's go ahead and talk

[08:06] about or show you rather a guy who

[08:09] showed off a gun at the Pokemon vending

[08:10] machine to try and intimidate a child

[08:12] while he was trying to camp it out to

[08:14] get some Pokemon product of his own.

[08:38] Misties.

[08:46] >> Oh, you get the you get the booster box

[08:48] and I'll get the

[08:49] >> I'll get the booster box.

[08:51] >> I kind of feel bad, bro.

[08:53] >> I kind of feel bad. If you guys want the

[08:55] box, we'll take the 10.

[09:02] >> Oh, there you go. Taking the box and the

[09:04] and the

[09:06] and the ETV.

[09:08] >> That's pretty cool, man. Meth out Slim

[09:10] Shady here flashing a gun at the people

[09:12] waiting at the vending machine,

[09:14] including a child. There's actually

[09:17] another kid there as well that comes in

[09:18] towards the end of the video and and he

[09:21] just flashes his gun at them. And I

[09:23] think it's blatantly obvious that he's

[09:25] doing that on purpose. Apparently, he

[09:27] had been there for quite a while and the

[09:30] others that were waiting in line were

[09:31] getting a little antsy about it. And the

[09:33] kid in that video starts heckling this

[09:36] [ __ ] loser. So, the kid wasn't even

[09:38] afraid after the guy flashed his gun at

[09:40] him, which I believe the whole purpose

[09:41] was to get everyone to pipe down. Stop,

[09:44] you know, insulting him for being such a

[09:46] loser.

[09:51] >> You guys get it, buddy. Good luck, guys.

[09:53] >> Thank you.

[10:07] >> Nothing crazy.

[10:10] >> We'll leave you guys to singles.

[10:11] >> You're good.

[10:12] >> You can hear the kid say, "I guess that

[10:14] 5hour wait paid off, huh?" to the guy

[10:16] who's now taken the walk of shame out of

[10:19] there again after he had just flashed

[10:21] his gun at a child by the way. So, two

[10:25] other people also left because this guy

[10:27] apparently was just taking an extremely

[10:28] long time to do his business here. It's

[10:32] just so pathetic, man. What an

[10:34] unbelievable loser. There's already been

[10:36] a shooting at a Pokemon vending machine.

[10:38] I covered that. So, this shit's just

[10:39] crazy that that this isn't even the

[10:41] first time about a gun being shown, at

[10:44] least not used in this case, over

[10:46] Pokemon cards at the Pokemon card

[10:48] vending machine.

[10:50] Security. Security.

[10:54] >> Relax.

[11:00] >> Little [ __ ]

[11:04] >> I can't see.

[11:08] >> Some wonderful sloppy fighting over

[11:10] Pokemon cards there. The way that

[11:12] they're just rolling around on each

[11:13] other, throwing these wet noodle

[11:15] punches. This [ __ ] looks like something

[11:16] you'd see at a Tory Bash back in the

[11:19] day. Kind of a deep cut reference, but

[11:21] that game did slap. But point is though,

[11:24] these two are now ground and pounding to

[11:26] get their hands on Pokemon cards there

[11:29] as the others look on. And one person

[11:32] there even says, "None of us should get

[11:34] cards." Yeah, you know what? Fair

[11:36] enough. The second the knuckle

[11:37] sandwiches start flying, they should

[11:39] just shut the entire [ __ ] thing down

[11:41] for the day. Absolutely. I feel bad for

[11:44] her kid though because it seems like she

[11:46] actually is there to get Pokemon product

[11:48] for her kid because at least she was

[11:50] mature enough to realize that fighting

[11:52] over Pokemon cards is pathetic and just

[11:54] disgusting. Yeah, there's so many other

[11:57] scalping fights that I could cover for

[11:59] today, but I've already been yapping a

[12:01] lot. It's It is actually happening every

[12:04] single day. It's just so [ __ ] out of

[12:06] control, man. Anyway, stop paying uh

[12:10] crazy like GameStop prices for Pokemon

[12:13] product and scalper prices for Pokemon

[12:15] product and it will stop happening. They

[12:18] they'll stop doing it. Just want to

[12:20] remind you of that. Anyway, that's

[12:22] really about it. Tip.
