The Setup I Always Wanted

[00:02] together this setup. We have to take it apart, but I plan to replace it with apart, but I plan to replace it with something dope. We love setup videos.

[00:22] this is not the I'm not doing this today for some kind of like um let me make a new setup video. The house is confirmed to be closed this month and we've been approved on the [music] new place. So, Megan and I made the mistake

[00:36] of starting to look into the best way to start moving. You know, we got a kid, she works full-time. I'm taking a current huge risk on everything that I do, documenting more of my weight

[00:49] loss, uh taking time away from streams to focus on content. So, yeah, we want to make sure this move is as comfortable and painless [music] as possible because there's obviously going to be a lot of headache involved with it, naturally. Uh

[01:03] one of the first things I said to do was like a a 1-month rule. If you can live without it for an entire month, it's got to be packed up. Now, the thing is, I can totally justify certain things. Like, I could make the case [music] and

[01:17] the argument that, "Hey, this computer, the dual PC setup, this could sit here for another month." You know what? Even though I don't have to use these every single day, it's just easier to have them sitting here. So, don't take these

[01:31] monitors down. But, like, the whole idea is the faster you just eliminate things is the faster you just eliminate things in your way, it's easier to then pack up the things that will need to be 2-week items, 1-week item, last-day item. That

[01:45] way we're making an actual game plan to move. And the reality is, I I don't need this right now. I just flat-out don't. I really need one ultra-wide monitor, I don't think I'm going to want to go a whole month without gaming and

[02:01] the desk here, which is actually why I'm really excited to tear down the dual PC setup and eliminate all the monitors and try to minimalize to one monitor for the

[02:13] time being is I've always wanted to test the setup that I'm going to create the setup that I'm going to create today. stop doing this. So, like there's like a side of me that like

[02:28] I love the fact that I have certain things that I couldn't afford or couldn't have like years ago, right? I got the badass Finalmouse, the the Wooting mechanical keyboard, I have the ultra-wide, and I have the clean

[02:41] aesthetically looking Keychron that honestly is better because it swaps between multiple devices, and this is what makes me want to constantly have multiple setups, cuz I like to have the gaming setup with all the gaming

[02:54] specific gear, and I like to have the creative setup with the creative aesthetic specific gear. I did just notice that the notice that the 32-in 4K OLED 240 Hz monitor has

[03:09] DisplayPort. For some reason, the ultra-wide does not. I don't know why it doesn't. And then this monitor, while it's really good for color, it's got DisplayPort as well like Thunderbolt I I should add Thunderbolt DisplayPort, cuz

[03:22] I want to be able to just plug my MacBook directly into it to where it will it will power it and to where it will power the MacBook and run a a visual signal to the monitor. That's only 60 Hz, so I think we're going to go

[03:36] with this being one monitor. So, no ultra-wide, which is going to be I think I'm going to go with that being the one monitor. We'll give it a We'll give it a try. >> [music]

[03:54] >> Okay, mess warning. It has been a couple days. That's a big giant box of cables. sorting all this [ __ ] But, for the meantime, for however long I am in here, [music] we have something simple set up, which is great because the point of

[04:09] which is great because the point of doing this here is to test a few things now, so that way when I go into the new setup, I know how I want to adjust the L-shape desk. Because for a while now, I've liked the [music] idea of using one

[04:22] side of the desk as more of like a sit-down recording area like this, where I can move around the camera, have the mic, have an area to to record. And then having the other side be like the creative area, where I can sit down, I

[04:36] can edit, I can game, which is exactly what this does right here. It's actually kind of nice. Yesterday, I had some free time. My buddy was home from work, >> and I was able to talk to an old friend that I haven't talked to in years. So, I

[04:49] was like, "Screw it. I'm going to do a no-cam [music] stream on Kick, and just anybody wants to come hang out, they can come hang out." And yeah, just from one PC, I just went live to Kick, and I pulled my iPad over here. Really like

[05:06] old-school stream. I just played games for like 3 hours. I didn't I didn't didn't stress about the chat. Um and it was nice. It was nice to just be able to And then for the few people that wanted to hang out, it was cool. They got to

[05:19] stop by. [music] We chatted. We shot the [ __ ] Um you that really is I feel like that's what I miss about streaming. [music] years, everything's became a job. Especially

[05:33] the more like I've done informative content. It's like like I've mentioned in one of the recent videos, you have to perform. If you're to perform, or you look like a hypocrite to some people, which is so weird.

[05:49] Uh because like [music] teachers teach, but like a science teacher doesn't go do science experiments all the time. Like a math teacher that helps them with finances could be in debt. Um I don't know. Like I even said, "Big Rob

[06:02] even like streaming?'" I'm like, "Honestly, outside of the random like Like and I haven't talked to people in a while." Those are exciting. That's

[06:14] week, the twice a week things where it's like, "Ah, I actually get to check in. I got a small window. Let's just shoot the shit." Those and like the idea of like I games. I'm going to come on. I'm going to do that.

[06:28] Um yeah, I guess I I guess like just streaming in the true nature of what streaming used to be, which is this this idea that you go live and you talk to the viewers of of the people that want to watch you do the thing you're doing.

[06:40] Yeah, I I love streaming like that. This whole idea of like trying to daily hustle stream and trying to build a brand around streaming and trying to brand around streaming and trying to focus on creating content and focus on

[06:52] funneling people over. I I would just rather focus on this side of things. So, with a setup like this, it's it's nice because I can do that. I have my little because I can do that. I have my little area right there where I can focus on,

[07:05] you know, recording the content. I got my editing area over here. I got the the slick-looking setup. I promise that I will clean this up and and and at least get some decent b-roll at some point, but you know, right now

[07:19] >> [clears throat] >> this is this is reality stage. This is real life. Over the next few weeks, we are moving our entire life out of this home that we've been in for 6 years and we're we're putting it somewhere else.

[07:34] Like there's no glorification of that. There's there's no [ __ ] to that. There's going to be boxes everywhere. We're about to run some errands and go Oh, baby. Yeah, like this room is a disaster.

[08:02] This is starting to turn into our, you know, organizing room like I'm starting to throw stuff to the side. We have like this desk. I have I have the desk out in the garage. I have a desk in storage. And with this new house, it's like we're

[08:16] we'll be able to actually utilize a lot of these in in different scenarios. And And that's what I want to do. Like I'm going to take everything here and actually make a dedicated gaming area. Like that That just I miss the days of

[08:29] doing that. But ever since we had him and have lived in this house, like >> [music] >> I feel like I can't put too much stuff testing things and and building new setups because he roams free in here. So

[08:45] I I don't want to have a whole bunch of nice gaming equipment over here when the little hellion like he just gets into everything. He does whatever he wants. Maybe a setup in the garage at the new place. But yeah, like

[09:00] the next month. Um that's I think that's another thing much is like dude, I got monitors piled up around There's no point of having all this stuff. But these gaming headphones to

[10:13] I'm going to ask them too if we can uh install a fire pit here. Talk to install a fire pit here. Talk to somebody about a rental home before and the guy said that it all depends on the landlord's wants. And it cuz like he

[10:27] in your house. Imagine if they had something there and they're going to pay for it that's going to stay on your property, you know, as long as it's done correctly. So there's a couple things

[10:40] about this house here. Originally, this house was not It was not the type of house that would be on our list. Um one, the monthly rent is a little higher than what I like. It's I say it's high but in perspective to

[10:56] >> [music] >> priced fairly well. Um it's just it's just like we have a pandemic home. We have a small mortgage [music] in comparison to what everybody else is paying. We are going to be paying a lot

[11:10] more than our current mortgage payment, right? But also too, we're paying for the mortgage payment, we're paying for a storage unit, and I there was a time when things were going really well on on Kick and whatnot,

[11:24] second kid to where once that would happen, I'd have to figure out something to do with my setup. So [music] we were looking into renting office space at the time for that as well. The thing about this house and why we

[11:38] the the next few years, any scenario is good [music] in this house. If we have an extra kid, it's a five bedroom. Once I start expanding more into physical products, there's a

[11:54] complete bonus room upstairs outside of where my new office space is going to be >> to where I'll have that here versus a separate location. This alone This alone should tell you. Look at where the new gym setup's going to be. Like this is

[12:10] This is perfect. This is perfect. We're going to have back here a dedicated area where it's my my hangout. And another thing about this house, believe it or not, it is

[12:24] it's hard to find somebody's home where they're willing to allow you to paint. And obviously you guys know for me with the aesthetic that I personally like and I would argue is actually important for my

[12:38] business because [music] it's it's the look that I've created. It allows me the opportunity to paint my new office and keep that going. we didn't really like pay attention to your like this room's massive.

[12:52] >> Yeah. >> And like that chair. >> And like that chair. >> So, welcome to Biggy LLC headquarters. This is what we really fell in love with with this house. The entire downstairs

[13:05] >> to ranch style, which for us we we really want. The house we almost designed like this. All the bedrooms were downstairs and then upstairs you had it it had just one big giant room, which would be like my

[13:19] office space. But but this one has like a a loft area and then what will turn into uh my area. Which what is so good about this is is there's still a master downstairs, two guest bedrooms connected by a bath, and

[13:34] uh another bedroom for him. Now, this is obviously bedroom five, but this is know [music] if I'll have a couch in here. for aesthetic creative stations, but then

[13:49] we'll have this room where I will still want to build things. They already have a TV mount, so get a new sofa for up here. As I'm getting back into content, a house like this not only provides us so much room

[14:02] for living, but it also just provides so much area for content with the things that I want to do. With me talking more about fitness and and documenting more of that with me still doing a lot of the tech stuff and in the gaming and

[14:15] everything, I I want to continue to share a lot of that, and this house just across the board gives us the ability to do that. So, we're locking in.
