AI Summary

This video provides a comprehensive guide to improving your Terrorist side performance on Mirage in Counter-Strike 2, especially for solo queue players. The core philosophy is to prioritize getting the first pick to create a 5v4 advantage, using spawn positions and utility to isolate duels. Key strategies include controlling mid with smokes and mollies, playing patiently on B site, and adapting to your team's movements.

[0:17]
Solo Queue Philosophy

The solo queue philosophy is to get an entry kill to create a 5v4 advantage, which psychologically helps the team.

[1:58]
Spawn-Based A Pick

With the best spawn for A, you can challenge the connector player with a teammate's flash or solo, as you know their timing and position.

[2:50]
Top Mid Smoke

The top mid smoke is the most important smoke for solo queue; it protects you from window and catwalk. Throw it by aiming at the top of the antenna on the trash can with a left click.

[3:54]
Mid Control Utility

Molly connector to isolate duels when coming out top mid, and use the headshot angle to fight AWPers on ladder.

[4:41]
Connector Importance

Connector is the most important area to control; it gives you options to split A, challenge catwalk, or rotate to B.

[5:47]
B Site Rat Strategy

On B, play as a 'rat'—stay quiet, listen for the CT player running up catwalk, then take a 1v1 fight.

[6:57]
B Site Aggression

Use a molly on van to flush out the CT player, or time their jump spot to throw a nade and slow them down.

[8:58]
Team Framework

In a five-stack, use a 3-1-1 framework: three players mid, one towards B/underpass, one towards A. Always smoke top mid and window.

Tutorial Checklist

1 0:43 Identify your spawn position and decide whether to go for an A pick (best spawn) or play B rat (any spawn).
2 1:10 If going for A pick with best spawn, ask a teammate to flash over A or challenge solo. Aim for the connector player crossing.
3 2:13 If the enemy mollies connector, throw a smoke on top of their molotov and have your teammate flash you out.
4 2:55 Throw the top mid smoke: stand by the trash can, aim at the top of the antenna, left click (no jump throw).
5 3:54 Molly connector by aiming at the top of the line on the wall to isolate duels when coming out top mid.
6 4:41 Take control of connector by peeking from the headshot angle near ladder or from behind the box.
7 5:47 On B, stay quiet and listen for the CT player running up catwalk. Once you hear them commit, take the 1v1 fight.
8 6:57 Optionally, molly van to flush out the CT player, or time their jump spot to throw a nade and slow them down.
9 8:58 In a team, use the 3-1-1 framework: three players mid, one towards B/underpass, one towards A. Always smoke top mid and window.

[00:00] hey what's up guys welcome back today

[00:01] we're going to be talking about tside

[00:03] Mirage so to kick things off I'm going

[00:05] to Yap here a little bit basically I

[00:07] just want to talk about what I like to

[00:09] do if I solo CU on any map it doesn't

[00:12] matter if it's Mirage Anubis dust who

[00:14] Whatever It Is My Philosophy is I want

[00:17] an entry and that's really what I try to

[00:20] focus on is finding a sequence finding a

[00:23] pattern where like a routine that I'm

[00:24] comfortable with that I'm

[00:25] self-sufficient in to ideally find a

[00:29] pick set my team up for a 5v4 call me

[00:31] crazy but there is definitely a

[00:32] psychological part of it where if your

[00:34] teammates see you go get a pick I feel

[00:36] like Things fall into place a lot of

[00:38] times and more often than not you win

[00:39] the round by just getting that singular

[00:41] kill in living first thing is kind of

[00:43] realizing what spawns you have and we'll

[00:45] just talk about the ideas of the spawns

[00:47] and give you like little very generic

[00:49] things that you can do and my philosophy

[00:52] and how i' approach certain spawn

[00:54] situations whatever this is spawn one on

[00:57] Mirage you're really close to a this is

[00:59] kind of I'm talking about is recognizing

[01:01] like hey I got a really good spawn for a

[01:03] I know that this a guy or this connector

[01:05] player is crossed every single round so

[01:07] maybe on a single round you can either

[01:10] one do it by yourself depending on what

[01:12] rank you're at or two just ask don't be

[01:15] afraid if somebody is a prick to you

[01:17] that's on them but you should ask like

[01:20] hey can you just flash over a for me and

[01:21] call it and you can try to challenge a

[01:23] guy Crossing connector and this is a

[01:24] pretty safe pick because you have the

[01:26] best spawn one two you know what this

[01:29] spawn that nobody's going to be coming

[01:31] from Jungle quite yet and the only

[01:33] position they can be in to Peak you is

[01:35] directly in front of you and as long as

[01:36] you don't go too far out you're not even

[01:38] going to expose yourself to the player

[01:40] that's in a sight or you might get

[01:41] really lucky and you're actually finding

[01:43] the a sight player while his teammate's

[01:44] coming through jungle and this is going

[01:45] to be a sequence of events that you got

[01:47] to think about with every spawn every

[01:49] position everything you're going for I'm

[01:51] using this as an example to hopefully

[01:53] help you understand of little things

[01:55] that you can do to give yourself a

[01:57] massive Advantage so yeah when you have

[01:58] the good spawn ask teammate to throw a

[02:00] flash or if you don't have a teammate

[02:03] this still is a very good duel to go for

[02:05] this isn't like a troll or grief now if

[02:07] they're intelligent and watch my

[02:09] incredible Mirage video they might have

[02:10] a Molly and if they got a Molly that's

[02:13] where you get a little bit more advanced

[02:14] you get used to throwing a smoke on top

[02:16] of their Molotov when you come out the

[02:18] ramp and your teammate throws a flash

[02:19] for you and same concept you're still

[02:21] isolating that duel on a timing and with

[02:24] your teammate's flash you would be

[02:25] really setting yourself up for a lot of

[02:27] success to get a pick now every spawn

[02:30] that you get on Mirage is not going to

[02:32] be necessarily something similar to that

[02:34] Aram spawn you don't always need to just

[02:35] like run it down at people I'm going to

[02:37] go through a couple basic pieces of

[02:39] utility for the tside just to show you

[02:41] ways that you can maneuver get some

[02:42] space and hopefully set yourself up for

[02:44] a pick so starting with the most

[02:46] important a lot of people will tell you

[02:47] it's the window smoke it really is not

[02:50] the most important smoke especially when

[02:51] you're like solo cued is the top midm

[02:54] smoke and to do the top midm smoke you

[02:55] just come to the side of this Barrel

[02:57] right here or trash can rather and you

[02:58] just aim at the top of this antenna no

[03:00] jump throw nothing fancy you just left

[03:02] click and let it go what this smoke does

[03:04] is allows you to come out mid pretty

[03:05] safely from window it also protects you

[03:07] from anybody that makes a cat jump also

[03:10] a little fun fact that a lot of people

[03:12] don't realize is if you're playing some

[03:13] people that actually know how to shoot

[03:15] back if they Molly behind the box you

[03:17] can use the edge of the smoke to look

[03:19] for fights in front of the window so

[03:20] you're probably wondering why I'm

[03:22] telling you about a top mid smoke when I

[03:23] just told you you got to go get entries

[03:25] because this is going to leave you in

[03:26] spawn reason you need this is one it's

[03:28] going to protect your stupid teammate

[03:29] that's trying to run out top mid and die

[03:31] instantly and two utility is important

[03:33] you got to be able to throw a little bit

[03:34] and do some basic things to be able to

[03:35] get into key positions throwing this top

[03:37] mid smokes is going to allow you to get

[03:38] out mid if somebody else does a smoke

[03:40] great use it go behind the box and you

[03:42] can also smoke behind window so in a

[03:44] perfect world where you have teammates

[03:46] that know how to smoke top mid or maybe

[03:47] you're smoking top mid or maybe you're

[03:49] smoking window if you can get two of

[03:50] these smokes this is great in general

[03:52] coming out mid aing at the top of this

[03:54] line is a great way to Molly connector

[03:56] that way you can isolate your duels come

[03:59] out top mid with the smoke and a great

[04:01] way to path early is especially with

[04:03] this window smoke up is on this head

[04:05] shot angle right here anybody that

[04:07] decided to go ladder with an op and

[04:08] thought they were really funny you're

[04:09] going to have a really nice angle and

[04:11] headshot angle to fight any oper that

[04:13] goes in the ladder and in general if

[04:15] somebody decides to get a little crazy

[04:16] and swing off cat on you it's a good

[04:18] position to be in you just got to worry

[04:19] about getting flashed the places that

[04:21] you're most likely to get picks on

[04:23] Mirage are going to be in mid if you're

[04:25] playing solo and if you're able to kind

[04:27] of coordinate or Wrangle up you know

[04:29] your your cats get them in mid create a

[04:31] little bit of space get in this bottom

[04:33] mid area and start looking for pix

[04:35] window or cat if you can ideally if you

[04:38] can take connector in most of your games

[04:41] especially while you're still learning

[04:42] the game connector is going to be so

[04:44] important because one a lot of people

[04:46] like to hang out in connector entirely

[04:48] way too long and two once you get

[04:50] connector and you kill that guy or you

[04:52] take the space for it the amount of

[04:53] options you have on this map even if you

[04:55] don't find a kill is incredible you have

[04:58] the ability to go up con and split a you

[05:00] have the option to maybe potentially

[05:02] challenge the guy on catwalk if you

[05:04] force them out of connector they don't

[05:05] really have good support and you might

[05:07] even have a longer rotation to b or

[05:09] towards a it's a really good position to

[05:11] get control of if you had to focus on

[05:13] getting one area of the map it would

[05:15] always be connector over ladder but

[05:17] ladder is still really nice too the area

[05:19] is really powerful to hold the jungle

[05:20] area which is what CTS rely on to fight

[05:23] that connector player and two you can

[05:25] really be a rat in here and just find

[05:27] some great timings to take some fights

[05:28] into B now let's go talk about B here

[05:31] real quick similar to the a spawn that I

[05:33] was talking about earlier where you

[05:34] could really just take that spawn maybe

[05:36] go out ramp and look for that isolated

[05:37] pick on the player Crossing connector

[05:39] you can also go B and when going B one

[05:43] of the strongest things you can do

[05:45] especially if you're by yourself is just

[05:47] listen just listen hang out mind your

[05:49] own business try your best to avoid

[05:51] anybody throwing a Molly here maybe they

[05:53] toss it deep early you don't want to get

[05:55] touched by that maybe they throw a nade

[05:57] you don't want to just be really sneaky

[05:59] you you don't want to be Singin in the

[06:00] Mal you don't want really anybody to

[06:02] know you're up here you're just hanging

[06:03] out to be a rat listen listen listen

[06:06] listen you hear that guy run up catwalk

[06:08] guess what you got a 1 V one now now

[06:11] it's a little bit of a hide-and-seek

[06:12] game but once you get comfortable on how

[06:15] you like to work the area I'm telling

[06:16] you right now a player that goes up or B

[06:18] and knows how to work this area is a

[06:21] menace even at the highest level you'll

[06:23] see players do this all the time where

[06:24] if they just create pressure up here it

[06:26] pulls that c player back maybe your

[06:28] teammate will finally do something and

[06:29] get a pick in mid because you're drawing

[06:31] the cat player back initially start the

[06:33] round be quiet you are a rat listen to

[06:36] the player when he runs up catwalk like

[06:38] so when you hear that player commit off

[06:41] cat that's basically you know it's on

[06:43] you know you get you get to do whatever

[06:44] you want you have a one V one versus guy

[06:46] more than likely he's not crutching it

[06:48] up if he is that's where you just call

[06:50] him a noob because he brought it up and

[06:52] then you move on with your day you know

[06:54] maybe you want to be less sneaky about

[06:57] it and you want to Molly out van and

[06:58] look for this player running out of Van

[07:00] you'll find you'll get players like this

[07:02] all the time where they just kind of

[07:03] panic they just instantly fall back to

[07:05] bench like this and they just cross

[07:07] right into you you'd be very surprised

[07:09] at how many players just give up a kill

[07:11] like that because everybody just thinks

[07:12] you're supposed to jump spot B and they

[07:14] do the guys never played there before

[07:16] you threw One Singular Molly at him he's

[07:17] like oh my God it's be I finally saw

[07:19] someone he panics and he runs out and

[07:21] kills him maybe you like the more

[07:22] stealth approach maybe you like to get a

[07:24] little bit closer and he makes a misstep

[07:26] where he's just jump spotting and you

[07:27] want to try to time his jump spot maybe

[07:29] you know he's jump spotting you want to

[07:30] bounce the Nate off this to slow him

[07:32] down break his hearing so he can't hear

[07:34] you run him down and you just get to

[07:36] kill him take the bomb site and now you

[07:37] get a 1 V one versus teammate cat or you

[07:39] could be even more annoying and just

[07:41] hide and then that way they have to know

[07:42] you're and be the entire round you're

[07:44] just doing a lot to create a lot of

[07:46] chaos these little things are like what

[07:48] you should be doing in all your

[07:49] positions this video is less about like

[07:52] you know do this one simple trick and

[07:54] you're going to be so sick it's more

[07:56] about the mindset of what you should be

[07:58] looking for you know perfect world this

[08:00] is what's going on but in most of your

[08:01] games this isn't what's going on so you

[08:03] got to figure out how to make the most

[08:04] out of your situations maybe you're a

[08:07] more patient player and by more patient

[08:08] I mean you're just a biter and that's

[08:10] okay because if you're a biter and you

[08:11] still find ways to get picks based off

[08:13] of what your teammates need and what you

[08:15] can provide you know that's great too

[08:17] players that come into a palace and you

[08:19] wait for your teammates to go out mid

[08:21] maybe create an absolute round of Chaos

[08:24] in middle and it's just a brawl you can

[08:25] try to find your timing for this guy on

[08:27] the a site and he thinks he's the hide

[08:29] and seat Champion but really you're the

[08:30] number one and you just kill him and

[08:32] you're going to be surprised at how much

[08:33] more success you have in these games

[08:36] when you're thinking this way when

[08:37] you're attacking rounds in this way and

[08:39] you're just kind of always looking for

[08:41] that slight Edge and moment where you

[08:43] can capitalize and create a 5v4 for your

[08:46] team so to wrap this up though I will

[08:47] show you guys like if you do got a five

[08:49] stack or just in general something that

[08:51] like you want to like understand a

[08:53] philosophy of at least how I would

[08:55] approach most Mirage pugs and what I

[08:56] would come to expect you want to have

[08:58] three players going going towards mid

[09:00] one player towards like upper B maybe

[09:02] handling underpass that can fluctuate a

[09:04] little bit based on the game and then

[09:06] one person always being a menace towards

[09:08] a that's how I would break it down and

[09:10] what I would think just some standard

[09:12] things you can do is just always smoking

[09:13] top mid always smoking window if you

[09:16] watch that Austin CS guy my teammate

[09:18] he's going to have a bunch of instant

[09:20] lineups Molly connector getting mid

[09:23] control early with like three players

[09:25] and then allowing these two other

[09:26] players on the edges of the map to

[09:28] isolate look for DS and find opportunity

[09:31] to get picks once you get out top mid

[09:33] what do you do next if you're in a five

[09:35] stack get that connector control baby

[09:37] smoke top con maybe remoke window that's

[09:41] a thing that everybody sucks at just

[09:43] remoke the window so you have more time

[09:45] to move around in mid without getting

[09:47] shot from three different places maybe

[09:49] you want to split cat that round maybe

[09:50] you want to split con maybe you got some

[09:52] picks early in mid and you just

[09:54] regrouped at a you know you did

[09:56] something really simple or maybe you

[09:57] regrouped at B cuz you killed the C

[09:59] player and you know everybody's stuck

[10:02] these are very basic things that you can

[10:05] pretty much apply to most of your games

[10:07] and if you're not playing with a group

[10:08] of friends and you got some people that

[10:09] are just you found a good stack of

[10:11] players and they're sweating I would

[10:12] hope that they're having a similar

[10:14] mindset and this is how they're kind of

[10:15] attacking and planning the rounds as

[10:17] well so this is the first tside video

[10:19] we've done kind of of this little series

[10:20] that we don't really have a name for

[10:21] that we just kind of keep rolling with

[10:23] please don't forget to like the video
